Just imagine Kipperlilly rolling up to the new guidance counsellors office after the pervious one got killed to bring back some kids to life. And she sits there complaining about not having a tragic backstory since every rouge needs a tragic backstory, and that it’s so unfair that Riz has one. He’s got a dead dad, a mom who over works, a missing baby sitter, and he’s poor. And she’s got a pretty much perfect white picket fence life. And all the while the werewolf guidance counsellor who stays as half wolf as a from of a political statement, who less than a few weeks ago was a drug dealer and super down on his luck and life was just over all bad for him has to be like “hmm yea unfair… how about your adventuring skills?”

Okay but what if this is a cosmic Monkey’s Paw situation Kipperlilly is fucking MISERABLE right now. Like, she was a shithead teen that was jealous of Riz for having a dead dad and a ‘tragic backstory’ because it ‘made him a better adventurer and was an unfair advantage’, and then on her first real mission her entire party got killed and coerced into serving an evil rage god, except for her very best friend who stayed dead. And she HATES IT. It’s like one of those old fairytales where a kid doesn’t do their chores and talked back to their parents, so their parents abandon them and the child gets eaten by a demon and somehow that’s ‘justice’, so you better behave kid! I mean, Ankarna IS a corrupted goddess of justice. It just seems funny to me that she’s LIVING her tragic backstory RIGHT NOW after complaining to Jawbone for two years about not having one. And the worst part is, from a CERTAIN PERSPECTIVE, she was a little bit right. Kipperlilly DID only start doing actual adventuring and rouge shit after she was forced to by an evil god who killed her and is currently holding her friend hostage. Like, it didn’t have to be that way. She could have done that stuff at any time. But her current ‘tragic situation’ is what’s currently FORCING her to get off her ass and adventure. Just the most fucked up, disproportional, unfair approximation of cosmic ‘justice’ imaginable.

Anyway this is a theory??? I guess. Just a direction I hope the story goes in/acknowledges. Because it would be funny

Rat Grinders Facts and the Implication of Those Facts:

They were the High Five Heroes. They have hated the Bad Kids since Freshman year. They had at some point rebranded (unsure if that was before or after Lucy died). They are not popular. They are boring power grinders.

Since Lucy died, they have: produced a rock star who fakes half his fame ("Sorry im getting mobbed for autographs"), a Sol televangelist's grandson, a great-great-great grandson of an ancient blue dragon, a secret bloodrush star, and the chick who found the rouge teacher/is running for president.

THEY ARE TRY HARDS. AND COPY CATS!

Before even junior year, The Bad Kids are stacked outside of just their adventuring feats...

I am so normal about the bad kids so henceforth are my height headcanons about them. Please note that I am no encyclopedia, simply a teenage girl with too much time on my hands

Gorgug is without a doubt the tallest. There's literally no debate about that, but personally I think that Adaine is the next tallest due to the high elf genes. Personally, it just doesn't make sense to have her being one of the shorter members of the bad kids

Kristen, Fig, and Fabian are neck in neck with each other. I think Kristen's human nature makes her a both stockier and taller than Fabian and Fig even if only by a couple inches. Fabian and Fig are, in my opinion, from the floor to the top of their heads, the same height. Fig's horns give her an extra couple inches and she never lets Fabian live it down.

Finally, Riz. There was no doubt that he was the smallest of the Bad Kids. He's simply a little guy, my pocket sized angel. Perfect for sitting in backpacks and hiding from werewolves with badass rouge skills.
