My headcannons after life after marriage with the SDV bachelor/ettes:

Its kinda long, sorry and I also apologize for typos or if its incoherent. I'm no writer

Harvey:

You thoughy he worried avout your health BEFORE you got together, oh boy oh boy. He's alaays asking how you feel, bringing you snacks amd water while you work the farm. He cleans you up after the mines (while he lectures you about the dangers). He likes the domestic moments. The days it rains and you stay inside together with warm cups of coffee, snuggled up in the bed. Hes a classica kind of guy. He leaves roses on the table and brings you breakfast in bed. Since hes a doctor, you're both awake early. Every morning is filled with sleepy kisses and coffee. He never leaves the house without a kiss and a 'see you later'.

Shane:

This man is ANXIOUS. Hes a bundle of self doubt and insecurity. He spends his hours thinking how great you are and how itd a matter of time until you leave him. Reassure him, please. He absolutely loves every minute you're with him. Hes acrually a surprisingly good cook. He also is so good with kids. He definitely wants kids after seeing you with Jas. Hes not big on saying how he feels, but he's working on it. Instead he helps out here and there, feeding the chickens (he actually loves doing that), cleaning the house, cooking a meal when you get home late. Little touches when you're alone. His leg agaisnt yours, his hand gently in your hair while you sleep. He loves you more than anything (except the chickens. Knoe your place.)

Elliot:

He is down SO BAD. Carries a picture of the two of you everywhere. He shows you off whenever he has the chance. Hes just so proud of his sweetheart. He cooks well, but he hates cooking so you two agree to split the chores. You're his muse ans you best believe he makes it known. He leaves you poems; post-it notes on the mirror, on a napkin on the counter, written on the bavk of th grocery list, a torn out notebook page in your coat pocket. He loves when you do his hair. If you don't know how, he teaches you. On slow days on the farm, you leave the front door open for some air and you can hear him playing piano.

Alex:

His love language is tackling you (physical touch). You walk through the door and hes hugging you, kissing your cheeks, picking you up and taking you to bed. He can't cook, but he can bake. Evelyn taught him and he treasures the skill. For every anniversary, no matter how small, he makes a treat. He loves helping you around the farm because its an excuse to walk around shirtless and flex for you. He also has a weirdly green thumb. The crops wont sprout and the season is almost over? Send Alex to water them. The next moening you have a bounty like no other.

Sam:

He has ADHD so he does that peguin pebbling thing where he finds random objects and brings them to you because 'this reminded me of you.' He can't cook. For the love of yoba don't let him cook unless you want to remodel your kitchen. He still tries to be sweet though. Hes not a morning person, but when you wake up early he stumbled put of bed, hair messy, eyes closed and follows you like a sad puppy. Hes so clingy. Like SO clingy. Personal space. Gone. He talks to you through the bathroom door, holds you while you sleep, wants to be next to you all the time. He also loves your animals, especially the chickens. He has one favorite, but he won't say it (he might hurt the others feelings). Sometimes you come back from town and hes sitting outside on the porch talking to the chickens, who look strangely invested.

Sebastian:

He loves you so much, but he hates that everyone KNOWS he loves you. You gush about the sweet things he does to your friends and he goes bright red in the ears. The townsfolk ask about you so he tries to avoid having to talk to them. When you're alone though, he's the total opposite. Hes quiet, sure, but he does whatever he can to help you out. A kiss on your cheek before he goes to water the crops for you. Makes you a cup of coffee after work. When he was little, robin taught him how to carve and widdle. He makes you cute wooden figures, usually modeled after your animals. He takes you to the city for weekend date nights. He asks you to go on rides just to feel your arms around him.

Leah:

She treats you like the most beautiful painting shes ever layed her eyes on. When you're sitting with her on the beach, she'll paint dancing swirls up your arms to your hands. (Maybe you get it tattooed one day and she cries). All the paintings in your house are made by her. Much like Elliott, youre her muse. She makes you sit so she can paint you or practice sketching. But she can never get enough of you. When you lay together, she meticulously traces the shapes of your body. Your hands, your nose, your hips. Everything about you is perfect to her.

Emily:

She's a free, creative person. She wakes you up late at night to look at the stars and dance by the river. Shes been making a quilt out of scrap fabric for your bed. She tries to tesch you how to sew it so you cam be a part of it. She helps you with the crops and picks fresh vegetables when theh grow so she can make you beautiful dinners. She loves to cook for you because you always have something good to say about it. She could be on food network, you swear it. Every day when she gets ready, right after putting on her lipstick, she kisses your cheek to leave a little mark. You leave it there while you do your chores.

Penny:

Penny is naturally an early bird. She wakes up each morning with you. You two share a few minutes of quiet before stsrting coffee. You take turns making breakfast. Penny is so used to keeping the house up by herself after living with Pam, so being with you is a breath of fresh air. But she still likes to help you out. So before going to teach the kids, she helps out in the garden. You pass by in town while shes walking the kids home. You join them on their walk and Jas starts asking you for that princess story again. As you tell it, you see Penny's cheeks go pink. Its only the story of how you met. But to you it felt like a fairy tale. You walk home with your wife every day, sharing stories of your day while settling down on the porch.

Abigail:

Shes high energy. She heard about it, she wants to try it. Take her to the city to a nigt club and she'll dance circles with you all night. She makes you matching bracelets and you never dare to take it off. When you go down to the mines, she wants to come with. She doesn't fear them, but that scares you. You have to convince her to stay with the farm every time. But you always bring her a beautiful gemstone back. You think the amythest brings out her eyes. Shes a decent cook, actually. Contrary to what Sam and Sebastion may say. Her recipes are odd, but somehow, they always work out. Shes not a morning person, she won't get up even if you shake her. But somehow she knows if you forget to give her a kiss on your way out the door.

Haley:

She takes a million pictures of you. She loves to. You hide your face, she tells you how much she likes your smile. You're working on the farm and hear the shutter click. She likes the ways your arms look when you roll up your sleeves. After a long day in town, you bring her flowers. Shes always waiting up for you. She likes to slow dance in the living room and hear about your adventures from the day. She tells Alex about how great you are. Everytime you walk by and catch her off gaurd, she fixes her hair so she 'looks nice'. You just kiss her and tell her she looks nice all the time.

Maru:

She loves to help you out on thr farm. Just not... conventionally. She is her father's daughter, so shes always making you new inventions to make the farm run smoother. Better fertilizer, fresh feed thst produces better eggs, though she was banned from tending the animald after one of her feeds turned your chickens eggs bright pink. She loves to walk around town with you, always with your hand in hers. She's not a cook, but she still tries to learn from you. Shes learning, but she mostly just likes getting to be near you while you cook.

Bachelor/ettes and Farm Chores

Bachelors:

Shane -- I think he's the most likely to do actual farm work, especially if you killed Morris fixed up the community center. He really loves taking care of the chickens, and remembers the ones you got from Marnie's. He also likes the other animals, and will probably spend all day with them. He'll water the crops sometimes, if it's not too hot, but will really just wonder why you don't get more sprinklers.

Alex -- Alex will also help out a lot around the farm, partially as a means of staying fit and partially to help you. He'll haul materials and supplies where you need them, and help keep the animals fed and crows chased off. Will train your pet to do tricks. This is not a farm chore, he trained Dusty.

Sam -- Mr. Sunshine will probably fall back on stuff his mom had him do around the house-- vaccuming, doing the dishes, etc. If you show him a few times how to do something, he'll put it in his routine, but will probably forget every once in a while. Undiagnosed ADHD King!

Harvey -- He has a full time job, so he doesn't have much time to help out on the farm itself. He does keep the house tidy, though, and will do the shopping for anything you don't make yourself. He is an extreme couponer and though he will never admit it misses Joja when it's gone just because of the savings. On days off, he does like to help with production stuff like making pickles or jam, and will help on harvest days if he has the time to do so.

Elliott -- He helps but it's never very structured. His writing schedule takes up a lot of time, but he does like helping with the crops. If he accidentally stays up all night working, he'll go out when the sun starts to rise to water the crops and make sure they're healthy, removing dead leaves and such. Not very helpful with the animals, he doesn't like the smell and is lowkey uncomfortable with so many animals around. Will feed/water the pet, however.

Sebastian -- Just because he's married and doesn't need to save up for Zuzu doesn't mean he stops working. He enjoys his work. He does the least around the farm, I feel. He will take care of the pet, and sometimes offer to feed the animals for you, but will probably just do a little around the house on coffee breaks. It isn't that he's lazy or anything, he just figures you know the farm better than him. Most likely to help when you're crafting stuff, he's good at machines.

Bachelorettes:

Abigail -- She's got the energy and the time, and I think without her dad and mom around she would actually want to help contribute. You aren't going to focus on everything she does wrong or nag her to help, so she actually likes to do it. Most enjoys maintaining the slime hutch if you have one, or knocking down trees for more lumber for you. Introduce her to Marlon, get her a sword, and she'll keep monsters off you while you mine. Just don't mention it to the in laws.

Leah -- When she's not focused on making her next piece, Leah likes helping around the farm. She's there every harvest, but will also keep an eye on kegs/casks/preserves for you and remind you when they're ready to turn over. Will pick an area to do work in so she can sketch it when she's finished.

Penny -- She's still pretty busy tutoring the kids, but she likes taking care of the house. She makes most of the meals and will help reset makers when she gets home in the afternoon. She might keep her own flower garden, if there's space for it.

Maru -- She's not the best at helping with actual chores, but will upgrade things for you to make life a little easier-- better sprinklers, autofeeders, automated makers. If you do really need a hand though, she will be there helping.

Emily -- Another one of those full time job havers. Emily will help out on the farm if you need her to, but she's more likely going to do house chores. Would most likely help turning over makers, if anything. She doesn't want to throw you off schedule, though, particularly if you run a big maximized farm.

Haley -- She barely cleaned the couch cushions living at home, homegirl is not gonna be the type to get her hands dirty on your behalf. The least employed woman here, the most time on her hands, the least helpful. Might eventually contribute if you asked her to, but she doesn't do much willingly. Maybe as she gets older it might change, but she's your wife and not your farmhand.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Sam is so affectionate like who says the homies can’t hold hands or cuddle? Literal golden retriever boy, shows affection by laying all over his friends and loved ones. He also will pick up any cool rocks or shells he finds to bring them to his partner. Always brings wildflowers rather than a purchased bouquet. 

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Sam decides he’s friends with someone and then you’re friends. He is the extrovert adopter of introverts. He collects them like Pokémon.  He’s the kinda guy who’s easy going and can talk to anyone. He makes a deeply loyal friend and is always on deck when you need cheering up.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Sam is super into cuddling but he’s a little wiggly and a little chatty. He’s got a lot of energy that makes him unable to sit still for lots of cuddling. (Unless you like to be bounced as he shakes his leg lol). But his favorite thing is to cuddle while he plays video games and you do your own activity.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Sam does want to settle down eventually, but he is a little hesitant at doing it too soon. That’s more on the commitment side of domesticity—this boy can cook and clean but his success can be inconsistent. He’s easily distracted and tends to try and do too many things at once.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

He wants to just rip the bandaid off and get it over with as fast as possible. He’s gonna be upset even if it’s mutual or it’s what he wants. Unless it was really gnarly he’d want to remain friends after because he’s got abandonment issues and a deep seated fear of being left and unloved.  

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Does Sam want to get married and be a dad and have a family? Absolutely. But he has a hard time conceptualizing the future (I hc him as having adhd and my credentials are that I too have adhd) so it always seems like something that’ll happen in the distant future until literally he’s being handed a mermaid pendant and tripping over his words in absolute joy to accept. 

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

So gentle emotionally but a little rough physically. Not mean, just a really physical kinda person who likes to pick his partner up or flop on them or jokingly wrestle.  

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

King of hugs. Not only is he a hugger but Sam gives the best hugs, I’m talking both arms and squeeeeeeze. He sways side to side too and might give you a lil shake for extra affection. 

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?

Sam actually holds off for a while due to his parents. He’s heard his mom say more than once she wishes that she’d have waited to have kids—that she’d really thought about what it would mean to be a soldier’s wife. Even though his stakes are lower, he still hesitates because marriage wasn’t a super duper positive thing growing up. 

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

He’s pretty easy going, but he does get jealous. Usually he’ll go to Sebastian or Shane for advice (very different kinds of advice lmao). He’s been the man of the house on and off for his whole life and all that parentification made it hard for him to address or prioritize his feelings. He might get a little snappy and then feel bad after. 

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Sam’s kisses are like sunshine—he’s very sweet and affectionate. He loves to hold his partner and kiss them all over their face rapid fire. 

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Sam is an expert, five star older brother. Shane and Marnie both trust him to watch Jas. He’s so good with kids in part because he treats them like people and is good at communicating on their level. The king of convincing a kid something was their idea to get them to behave. 

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

He loves to sleep in but once he’s awake he is AWAKE.  Sometimes he can be a little overwhelming if you’re not a morning person but he’s good at keeping himself busy so he doesn’t disturb a less chipper partner until they’re ready to be coherent. 

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)He’s a cuddler but he’s also a furnace. When he falls asleep it’s like he just turns into a space heater and is radiating. He also sleeps all over the place and moves around quite a bit. Loves to spend some time sitting in bed before sleeping to talk.

O = Open  (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say  everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Sam says things as they occur to him, which means one second he’s info dumping about the history of skateboarding, and the next he’s dropping his tragic backstory. It comes in bits and pieces, but there’s not a deliberate withholding. 

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Sam is laid back and good with kids, he’s super patient. It’s rare he gets actually angry but he will get frustrated. When that happens he gets snappy and sarcastic. He’s not outright mean, but it’s not pleasant to be around. He’s the kind of person that if you call him on it he does stop immediately. 

Q = Quizzes  (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little  detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

The things that Sam remembers are often hit or miss–-his partner’s favorite food? Yeah. Their allergies? Totally? Their birthday? Well, he’s probably at least got the month right. He remembers his partner’s habits–the things that he sees everyday. He’s really observant and puts that to good use in a relationship.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

It’s the time his partner let him teach them to skateboard.This isn’t a one time only event, but there was a specific time where his partner skated from Pierre’s to his house all by themselves (with him within arm’s reach should something go awry). They looked so proud of themselves and they were so excited to be involved in his hobby. They absolutely ate shit not a minute later but Sam caught them! No injuries were had, they celebrated with ice cream.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Sam’s a lover, not a fighter. He’s very protective of his partner and his feelings, so most of his protection is emotional. He’s so loyal that it’s impossible not to feel secure in a relationship with him. He doesn’t think he needs protection, but his partner absolutely will go for the throat of anyone who wants to take away some of Sam’s sunshine. This is also a role Sebastian, Abigail, and Shane had taken on. (I hc that Shane and Sebastian are work besties who end up hanging out at the saloon whenever they’re both there. 

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Sam tries really hard but dates and time and planning are all very hard for him to manage. He’s much better with everyday tasks and gifts. I said it before and I’ll say it again: this man brings you cool rocks.  

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He’s perpetually late and kind of really messy same. 

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Nobody who doesn’t care about their appearance has hair that so completely defies gravity. Half of being a rockstar is having a lewk—Sam takes this very seriously both on and off the stage. It’s more about having a vibe than looking “good” exactly. 

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Look, Sam is fine he’s a whole person on his own yeah, yeah yeah. But he is NOT going to be brave about it. 

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

He’s always missing something. Like at all times something is lost and he is looking for it. He’ll usually find it but it’s like every couple of days—CDs, keys, his phone, his headphones, Sebastian (He and Abigail left him at the mall once on accident) 

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He doesn’t like people who make disliking children a personality trait—or disliking anything as a personality trait honestly. Liking things is cool! Cringe is dead! He’s ecstatic to find someone into the same weird indie band he likes! Enjoy things! Humans are cool! 

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

Sam has exactly two modes: awake and asleep. When he’s sleeping he is gone, out for the count, unwakeable. When he is awake he is going, he is moving, he is grooving. There is no in between

Random Headcanons: Sam Stardew Valley

I can’t sleep and jotting down hcs is helping me wind down so here are some HCs for my absolute favorite: Sam. He’s my husband and I would die for him

Warnings: Discussions of ADHD and PTSD.

Okay first of all this man 1000% has ADHD. Like hello?

He cannot sit still. He’s always playing with his hands, bouncing a knee up and down etc.

Emily gets him for secret Santa one year and gives him a fidget toy. He’s obsessed with it and keeps it in his jacket pocket.

Writes stuff down on his arm and hand to remember things

He genuinely does try to help his Mom stay on top of housework but bc of the ADHD he doesn’t do stuff the way she wants.

Him and Jodi don’t have a good relationship and fight all the time. The only reason he still lives at home is because of Vincent.

He gets along with his Dad much better but is definitely a bit intimidated by him.

When Kent does have flashbacks to the war and raises his voice/shows aggression, Sam will put himself in front of Vincent and Jodi while he talks his Dad down.

He’s generally a really protective person of the people he cares about.

1000% bisexual also. I hc him as having a slight preference for Men. Only Seb and Abby know because he’s scared to tell his parents.

Lots of ear piercings that Sebastian probably did.

He’s also got a scar on his eyebrow and on his nose because one time he faceplanted on his skateboard. Probably trying to do a kick flip (Sam I love you so much but you’re so bad at kickflips)

His hair is crazy and will stick like straight out so he actually uses hair gel to try and smooth it down, but it doesn’t work very well. His hair is also super soft.

Puts his hair up in a ponytail when he’s too lazy to try and gel it. It’s still crazy but at least out of the way.

Doesn’t care about Toxic Masculinity AT ALL. Likes to play around with makeup and do more extreme rockstar looks just for fun. Haley helps teach him.

Not afraid to happy cry in front of people at all, but hates sad or angry crying around other people.

Believe it or not, is actually a huge cat person. He loves dogs too but absolutely melts when he sees a cat.

Him and Shane are actually pretty good friends. He calls Shane his work husband. After Jojamart closes he makes a point to talk to Shane at least once a week.

Robin loves Sam, Demetrius cannot stand Sam. Maru and Sam aren’t friends but she does think he’s a good guy and finds him amusing. He think she’s cool and always asks about her inventions.

He’s a night owl. Usually wakes up at 10 or 11 and will go to bed around 2 or 3.

Plays DND with Sebastian, Abby, Emily, Harvey, Leah and Elliot. (A bard ofc)

Likes spending his free time at the beach. Calls Willy “Fish Dad”

He makes up a lot of little nicknames for people.

His guitar probably is covered with bunch of stickers he’s collected over the years.

Sebastian - Stardew Valley / OC

age: 29-33 height: 5'9 gender: non-binary (they/them) sexuality: pan ailemts: social anxiety. depression.

Sebastian grew up in an incredibly small town of just a couple 100 people. He tried to fit in for a while, farm country sort of living but once he hit about 15 he knew this really wasn’t the life for him. His dad had left his mom when he was just a few years old, so he doesn’t have any real memories of him and he can’t really miss someone he never knew. Demetrius came into his life when he was about 5 and just a year later his younger half sister Maru was born. Sebastian never really fit in but Maru did and he was easily and quickly casted out and aside in his own family. His mother and step dad never hit him or anything along those lines but Maru was the golden child that wanted to be here and Sebatian’s room was the basement no one ever really came to. 

The small town life meant everyone knew everything and he and his best friend Sam would constantly rile the town up with a few pranks here and there or just being rambunctious teens. Sebastian couldn’t stay there though, not forever. Computers quickly and easily became his niche, it was almost like another strike against him from his family though who was so set in their ways that they neve really thought twice about Sebastian’s future or what he might want. He spent most of his night reading programming books online and trying them out, he realized he was actually really good at it and he may or may not have hacked into WIFI and accounts just to see if he could. From 15 to 18 he really only had two friends, Sam and Abigail, they were just people who let him be and took interest in the weird things he had to say. He loved them and considered them more his family than who he lived with so it was incredibly difficult and terrifying to tell them goodbye. 

At 18 he packed up his computer, his clothes and a few small things that meant something to him and took the bus to the nearest big city. He went with just a few about $1500 in his account that he got from working over the last few summers while he finished high school. He found a job - as a barista in the early morning to noon and went to school at night - having a hefty loan in his name now but he was starting the life he wanted. The tattoos started at 18, he is Japanese and it was something his mother did right was make sure he never lost his culture and knew about it, despite knowing nothing about his father he was in touch with his roots and its where his entire back piece stems from. 

At 28 he’s still working his way up but he is a full time programmer and he does work for a few people underground for extra cash. He isn’t rich by any means, having a studio apartment in an okay part of town and a ton of student loan debt… He’s just trying to make it but he is happy. Happier anyways. He doesn’t talk to his family at all, they never reach out either. Sam and Abigail check in every now and again but have never been to visit. Sebastian is very much a loner, he doesn’t mind it though. 

He spends a lot of time keeping up on the latest with programming and reading, he also has his pet frog, Chowder, that he will generally talk to alone or not. He does suffer from depression but it’s been there for most of his life so he just - lives with it. Anxiety and ADHD are other things he struggles with, he has a few rings he wears constantly and spins them on his fingers. A few bands on his wrists he’ll snap softly if he needs. His place isn’t dirty but Sebastian can be pretty messy. Shoes out and clothes over the edge of his mattress or on backs of chairs, books scattered on the floor as well as a crocheting needle and paint supplies - both bought with the start of a fixation but neither started. His studio is small and he just doesn’t know how to organize it - he’s working on it though. He does have the bad habit of smoking but he isn’t a chain smoker, maybe two of three a day. 

He does play piano, keyboard and guitar, music is an outlet for him so he has a small cheap one at the end of his bed that he will play pretty often, as well as an electric guitar that he got at a pawn shop. He thinks Chowder is his toughest critic when it comes to his music. He was in a shitty band back home but he absolutely loved it and despite the social anxiety he did get on stage with his friends and put on a few shows, never a great response from the small town but it’s some of his best memories.

He tried to fit in for a while, farm country sort of living but once he hit about 15 he knew this really wasn’t the life for him. His dad had left his mom when he was just a few years old, so he doesn’t have any real memories of him and he can’t really miss someone he never knew. Demetrius came into his life when he was about 5 and just a year later his younger half sister Maru was born. Sebastian never really fit in but Maru did and he was easily and quickly casted out and aside in his own family. His mother and step dad never hit him or anything along those lines but Maru was the golden child that wanted to be here and Sebatian’s room was the basement no one ever really came to. 

The small town life meant everyone knew everything and he and his best friend Sam would constantly rile the town up with a few pranks here and there or just being rambunctious teens. Sebastian couldn't stay there though, not forever. Computers quickly and easily became his niche, it was almost like another strike against him from his family though who was so set in their ways that they neve really thought twice about Sebastian's future or what he might want. He spent most of his night reading programming books online and trying them out, he realized he was actually really good at it and he may or may not have hacked into WIFI and accounts just to see if he could. From 15 to 18 he really only had two friends, Sam and Abigail, they were just people who let him be and took interest in the weird things he had to say. He loved them and considered them more his family than who he lived with so it was incredibly difficult and terrifying to tell them goodbye. 

At 18 he packed up his computer, his clothes and a few small things that meant something to him and took the bus to the nearest big city. He went with just a few about $1500 in his account that he got from working over the last few summers while he finished high school. He found a job - as a barista in the early morning to noon and went to school at night - having a hefty loan in his name now but he was starting the life he wanted. The tattoos started at 18, he is Japanese and it was something his mother did right was make sure he never lost his culture and knew about it, despite knowing nothing about his father he was in touch with his roots and its where his entire back piece stems from. 

At 28 he’s still working his way up but he is a full time programmer and he does work for a few people underground for extra cash. He isn’t rich by any means, having a studio apartment in an okay part of town and a ton of student loan debt… He’s just trying to make it but he is happy. Happier anyways. He doesn’t talk to his family at all, they never reach out either. Sam and Abigail check in every now and again but have never been to visit. Sebastian is very much a loner, he doesn’t mind it though. 

He spends a lot of time keeping up on the latest with programming and reading, he also has his pet frog, Chowder, that he will generally talk to alone or not. He does suffer from depression but it’s been there for most of his life so he just - lives with it. Anxiety and ADHD are other things he struggles with, he has a few rings he wears constantly and spins them on his fingers. A few bands on his wrists he’ll snap softly if he needs. His place isn’t dirty but Sebastian can be pretty messy. Shoes out and clothes over the edge of his mattress or on backs of chairs, books scattered on the floor as well as a crocheting needle and paint supplies - both bought with the start of a fixation but neither started. His studio is small and he just doesn’t know how to organize it - he’s working on it though. He does have the bad habit of smoking but he isn’t a chain smoker, maybe two of three a day. 

He does play piano, keyboard and guitar, music is an outlet for him so he has a small cheap one at the end of his bed that he will play pretty often, as well as an electric guitar that he got at a pawn shop. He thinks Chowder is his toughest critic when it comes to his music. He was in a shitty band back home but he absolutely loved it and despite the social anxiety he did get on stage with his friends and put on a few shows, never a great response from the small town but it’s some of his best memories.

Random headcanon

*Harvey enjoys reading Shakespeare. I think he and Elliott would be good friends.

*Elliott stares off into the river on the bridge because he thinks bridges are romantic and he needs inspiration for his Gothic romance novel.

*Alex drinks Gatorade constantly.

*Demetrius refuses to turn on the A/C in the summer because he's worried about his work papers fluttering away and ending up on the floor. His family has to sweat it out or use localized fans. Seb doesn't care. The basement is pretty cool.

*Gus donates food to the local shelter and soup kitchen.

*Haley goes shopping in Zuzu City frequently once access to the train is repaired. She is not a bus girl. Haley would do more online shopping if her internet didn't crash so often. She regularly calls Sebastian to come fix it. He obliges only because it's a gig and makes him gold but he is secretly starting to like her a bit. She doesn't find him that bad either.

*Sam used to cloud gaze with Granny Evelyn. He talks to Harvey about getting a better prescription so she can see the clouds again. He means well, but of course, doctor-patient confidentiality prevents Harvey from saying anything. He might just suggest it though in Evelyn's next check-up. ❤☁️

*Lewis wanted to be on a cooking competition show when he was younger. That's why he's so adamant about the soup being perfect for the Governor during the luau.

*Evelyn used to collect seashells with her little girl (Alex's mom). It's too painful, both emotionally and physically to do it now. But during the luau she let's herself dream a little and remembers her daughter.

*Robin is the unofficial town tourism board. Mayor Lewis always ropes her into meeting newcomers when they arrive. She is friendly and personable and a good fit for this role. I imagine she traveled frequently when she was younger and that's how she met Demetrius.

*Abigail plays World of Warcraft and Elder Scrolls Online. She has an epic high level character in both, even higher than Sebastian.

*Jas enjoys playing hide and seek with Shane and Marnie, but hates it when Mayor Lewis does. He's terrible at hiding, and he always sneezes and gives away his place.

*Post-recovery Shane likes to take naps in the Farmer's field on sunny days.

*Sam's allergies make him a poor farm companion, but he does wonders in sprucing up the cabin. If married, he would even create a little music room for himself and their kids.

*Marnie enjoys working out once a week at Caroline's. It helps with her body confidence. She is hoping to convince Pam to join sometime.

*Pam was married to a sailor at one point. He left her soon after Penny was born, going to procure diapers and he never returned.

*The witch used her memory erasing technique on the Wizard, her ex-husband to make him forger who his child is in SDV.

*Caroline once considered getting a health coach certification but worried the classes would take her away from raising Abigail properly.

*Pierre is a workaholic, but he allows himself to unwind at Stardrop every Friday evening. He wishes Caroline would join him, but she's not a night owl.

*Gunther is allergic to peppers. He hates spicy food. Tacos literally make him gag.

*Penny relates better to children than adults. She is a painfully shy introvert and she had a speech impediment as a child. She used a puppet to help communicate.

*Jas also had delayed communications, and Vincent is showing early signs of ADHD.

*Emily and her best friend, Sandy grew up doing everything together before moving to the Desert. They swam in the Gem Sea, they played pirates and nobles in the Cindersap Forest, and they collected gems in the quarry. They always invited Haley to join but Haley refused since she didn't like the more active gameplay. When Sandy moved away, Haley was secretly glad hoping Emily would finally spend more time with her.

*Leah loves making fresh salads. When she lived in the city, she would visit the Farmer's Market near daily.

*Maru wonders what life in space would be like. Her scientific and rational brain tells her she could never be an astronaut because of her poor eyesight and low stamina, but that doesn't stop her from dreaming.

9: Is someone multilingual? Do they try to teach another language to the other? How does it go?

Okay, so, Sebastian definitely picked up some French from when he was living in France. I reckon he was there for a good few years, not enough to change his normal talking accent, of course, but enough that he is pretty much fluent in the language and has a Bit of an accent while speaking it. And he finds it truly disappointing that Sam doesn't speak any other language besides one from a fantasy movie (but he understands when Sam reminds him he's dyslexic and has adhd, so concentrating on a language is just Super hard unless it’s incorporated into something he Really likes), so he tries to teach him slowly. Mostly by just throwing out some random words in french during a casual conversation. Sam can grasp a few of them here and there and slowly learns them, but he is Far from fluent and definitely still cannot string a sentence together.

13: Who stays up late? Who sleeps the most? Does the other have to force them to sleep/wake up?

Sam stays up late and also sleeps the most. Sebastian likes the routine of getting up early, and while he does like staying out at Scandals, he's still asleep before Sam, who is definitely too busy falling down a wormhole of fanfiction and weird buzzfeed quizzes to realize that it's already three in the morning. The boy has no sense of time and it infuriates Sebastian a lot of the time, because he usually Does have to nudge him At Least four times before he'll actually start to properly stir in the morning (afternoon), and his requests for him to go to sleep are always met with "yeah, just a minute, babe" only for that minute to become another three hours.

aaaa this is quite long!! also i apologize for it sitting for a while, this was p tough but i do love both of the boys sm :,) !!

memory:

what memory are they most fond of? 

-sam: sam remembers one of the first friends he ever made when he was still living in zuzu city! his friend’s parents kinda doubled as his own, and saw his friend’s dad as a father figure when kent was away! his friend’s dad was super big on music and taught his son how to play a few instruments, and sam really loved how close they all were! his friend’s dad bought him his first acoustic guitar :,)

-seb: when him and sam were younger robin allowed sam to come on a camping trip with them!! it was the first time sam and seb really were close for an extended period of time and they were able to do some stuff on their own for the first time!! seb remembers sam being suuuper bad at fishing and struggling to start a fire (despite say he was the best at both)... the whole trip is a fun memory for him!

what memory bothers them? 

-sam: his mom blew up on him and vincent for something super small. sam was old enough to piece together she wasn’t upset with them, but was just stressed about kent. vincent didn’t understand what he had done wrong and took it really bad, and was kinda distant from jodi for a little bit just because he was scared to make her mad again.

-seb: anything that has to do with his father! he tries to repress it as much as possible instead of dealing with it, but sometimes he’ll have a good memory with his father come up and then feels guilty for resenting him! 

what is something from the past they've learned from? 

-sam: always check up on everyone! if someone seems like they’re struggling.. even a little.. he’ll offer some help or at least some encouraging words. he learned esp with sebastian and keeping in tune with him, but it works for when his mom is super stressed too!

-seb: not to waste his breath on those that don’t deserve it! he’ll be the bigger person and not fight with others on trivial stuff that has no real outcome. he’s not one for confrontation anyway, but if someone’s looking for someone to back them up, it’s not gonna be him. 

what is a memory that always makes them laugh?

-sam: these 2 are connected, but def sometime he pranked seb. anytime he’s made seb (lightheartedly, ofc) annoyed he enjoys it. he lives to innocently mess with others and finds the funniest moments are where he’s successfully caught someone off guard. but, there was a time when he was younger kent got stuck on a water slide… he doesn’t let kent live that down, despite knowing the slide was built for kids. 

-seb: i think canonically seb smiles thinking about how sam is leading in community service hours and i thiiink another dialogue is similar to that. it seems like memories with sam make him chuckle if they cross his mind! sam launching snowballs accidentally into lewis’ face, tripping over his own feet in front of penny.. etc

teach:

what is one thing they wish to teach the world? 

-sam: not so much the world, but he’d love to teach vincent to be himself as he is!! and to pursue what he wants no matter what jodi or anyone would say against it!!

-seb: he hopes that as he is… people will learn to be more compassionate and not jump to conclusions about a person. he knows he’s a likable guy, just hopes sometimes people will learn to see past his faults.

what is something they think is important that isn't taught at school? 

-sam: mental health!! i think he’d be a big advocate for knowing what’s going on in the head and how to catch certain things early. teach people its ok to breakdown!! there’s nothing wrong with needing a break and taking it easy… teach kids that it’s okay to be upset. 

-seb: honestly? computer sciences. i mean you have keyboarding and such but like? viruses, simple stuff like settings and such? not touched on a lot! he gets so sick doing simple tasks for people sooo often, esp when it’s like basic stuff! gotta teach some computer smarts (so no one bothers him when he’s busy lsdkflkds)

what is something they wish they knew earlier? 

-sam: lifes too short to mope around and be upset about insignificance things!! gotta look at the positives in bad situations and take nothing for granted! his dad being away kinda taught him a lot about mortality, and now makes sure to appreciate the little things!

-seb: people do care about him. he’s more secure with his friends now, but it took him years to warm up and not feel like a burden/annoyance to them. he now knows if he does feel down both abby and sam are ready to jump to his side… even if he doesn’t think he’ll leave a ~lasting impact~ on the world, he takes comfort he at least brings them some joy from time to time.

what was their best and worst school subject?

-sam: he’s v good at science-y stuff! like the plant/animal part of biology (even stuff like enzymes etc!!) and finds a lot of interest in it!! if he can do like hands on labs he learns the best and its easier to apply his knowledge!

-seb: english! def the english teacher’s fave kid. likes classics and the drama of shakespeare… won’t really read aloud unless he’s called on. he’s super good at grammar and english has always come super easy to him! he also really likes history but only specifics of it.

were they a "good student"? why or why not?

-sam: ohh no. definitely a good bit of that is his adhd, but teachers ofc never really took him seriously. i think he’s v bright and intelligent but.. traditional learning is not for him.

-seb: he’s the kid that got “a pleasure to have in class” on his report card simply bc he never spoke! the kid that the loud and rowdy kids get sat next to to be a ‘good influence’... good grades until he hit his teen years and started feeling.. y’know... gloomy.

A few days late to this cause adhd brain & lack of notifications but uhm!! Yeah, sure! I'm going to try to make at least one headcanon for each bachelor/bachelorette, no matter my opinion on them, so without further ado, lets get started!

Bachelors!

Alex - He isnt too ticklish, but he'll easily pin you down and wreck you with tickles if you ask for it.

Elliott - He's a very soft ler, making sure that his partner is nothing but comfortable during the whole thing and enjoying it. Also (whispers) he's hyper ticklish on his neck

Harvey - Harvey has lots of experience with ticklish results due to his clinic, but never saw it the way "we" do. Once he learns about it this way, he becomes a very ruthless ler, even inviting you to the clinic after hours and using some gauze with the hospital beds to tie you down and demolish you.

Sam - I have NOTHING for goku hair, sorry.

Sebastian - He scoffs at the thought of tickling, despising it with his entire body. Unfortunately for him, he's easily the ticklish bachelor.

Shane - Shane only gets involved with tickling when he's drunk.

Bachelorettes!

Abigail - Abigail is one tough cookie to crack, but once she starts laughing, she can't stop! Best to watch your back though, because she surely is going to want revenge.

Emily - She's sensitive to upperbody pokes, but not much else. She snorts when she laughs.

Haley - Haley is 100% ler, and not a nice one. She'll actively insult and degrade you as she tickles you, saying snippets like "You actually like this?" and "Laugh it up, nasty!"

Leah - Leah's extremely ticklish on her legs, easily her most ticklish spot. She giggles like mad with even the smallest touch to them.

Maru - Maru was VERY embarrassed the first time you brought up the idea of a "tickle robot," the idea of you in it brought a smug smile to her face but the thought of herself in it overpowered it. Needless to say, she isn't letting you mess with her electronics and projects anymore.

Penny (my beloved) - She's very flustered by it, and if you tickle her when she reads, she WILL smack you with her book. However, she does admit that she loves it, and it helps her mood.

Hi! Can I request headcanons about Sam and Vincent with ADHD?

This is already one of my favorites asks akrjfjsk

I have ADHD and I def headcanon that they both do! It varies from person to person, obviously, so this is all based on my experience with it!

Sam + Vincent with ADHD!

Sam:

Sam has had ADHD since he was little. He showed all the signs, being extremely hyperactive and unable to focus. He also got anxious very easily, but this didn’t come up until he was older.

He wasn’t officially diagnosed for a while, because Harvey wasn’t ever the best with different disorders and things along those lines. Harvey always thought he was a very hyperactive kid, that’s all.

Jodi felt really bad, as ADHD runs in her family. She’s been taking meds for it since she was a teen. A side effect of hers was dpeeesion, so she was afraid Sam would turn out the same.

But he didn’t! Sam was always a very happy kid, despite being anxious when he became a teenager. Jodi did her best to help with his symptoms in the ways that she helped herself.

He fidgets constantly, always doing something with his hands. Whenever he plays music though, he can focus on that and his mind is finally clear.

He will occasionally hyperfixate on things, ranging from video games, to movies, or shows that he watched with Sebastian and Abigail.

Seb and Abby are very supportive!! They understand that he isn’t always there mentally, and if he ever appears like he isn’t paying attention, they know he is. They try to keep him busy, too by finding more things for him to like or hobbies to get into.

Vincent:

Vincent was the exact same as Sam as a child. He was hyper, very imaginative and couldn’t focus for the life of him.

Jodi had already been through this with Sam, so she didn’t fret nearly as much and did her best to help him like how she wished she did with Sam. She wasn’t diagnosed until she was around sixteen, so she was very adamant with getting them the meds and help they needed.

Vincent likes to hyperfixate too, especially on the things Sam likes! If he ever sees Sam playing a video game, he does his best to learn how to play it so he can show off. He just wants to look cool to him. He’ll talk about nothing but the game for a few weeks, trying to get Sam’s attention.

Sam definitely sees himself in Vincent, so he always listens to his rambling. Even when he’s busy. Even when Sebastian is over and they have to pull away from each other because Vincent just burst through the door. Even when Sam is in the middle of eating and Vincent just has to tell him something.

Sometimes, Vincent’s mind races when he’s trying to sleep, so he’ll knock on Sam’s door shyly, asking if he can talk. They worked out a system where if Vincent ever needs to talk about something, he can always ask Sam. That goes for anything, too, not just the things he enjoys.

Sam is a very supportive and protective brother and I will NOT stop talking about this ever. Kent left when Vincent was very young, so he was very surprised to see how hyper both he and Sam were. He’s like Jodi, though, doing anything he can to help!

Spouses taking care of a sick farmer?

Bachelors

Harvey: Harvey’s panicking tbh. He’s constantly checking up on you, making sure you’re okay, tending to your needs...if you need anything at all, he’s already got it waiting for you. He just ;-;;;; doesn’t like his sweetie being sick ;-;;;;;;

Elliott: he tries to be nice and help but he actually has no idea how to help. he also doesn’t want to be within a 20 foot radius of the farmer if their sick because he doesn’t want to be sick. but still he tries

Sam: he and his last braincell try their best to help you feel better by playing music, but that kinda worsens your headache. He feels bad and tries to ask Harvey what to do, but adhd braincell doesn’t remember half of it and he gets you some NyQuil and some soup. It takes him a couple hours to realize “wait I can just take you to Harvey”

Sebastian: he doesn’t know what to do for your health, but he does take over the farm work while you’re sick. When he comes back, he gets you some water and a snack and immediately snuggles you again. He pretends to ignore you telling him he’ll get sick too, and doesn’t regret it when he’s sick the next week.

Shane: he doesn’t really know what to do, but he’s definitely freaking out and trying (badly) to hide it. He gets medicine from Harvey’s clinic, some canned soup from the Pierre’s, and and tries to give you as much love as he can in hopes it makes you feel better

Alex: he tries to make soup, but he’s not much of a cook and it doesn’t go very well. Instead he asks Evelyn to help, and she makes the best chicken soup you’ve had in years. Alex also tries giving you a protein shake because “doesn't it make you stronger and stuff?”

Bachelorettes

Abigail: Abigail would resign to eating ice cream with you, while cuddling under blankets and playing Prairie King. You two would just essentially be two sushi rolls. It's cuddle time with her

Penny: she would make you some herbal tea, and only really grab the essential medicine. She'd have a wet washcloth on your forehead and she'd definitely try different teas out on you to see which makes you feel better💕

Emily: she’s got your bed surrounded in healing crystals and is hoping none of them try and leave. also has several incense burning that also apparently have a healing ability to them.

Haley: she will support you from the other room. she is terrified of being sick. will ask if you need anything but is crossing her fingers that you don’t because she loves you, but you’re sick and she doesn’t want to be around you right now.

Maru: you’re sick? she’s already out the door to talk to harvey about what medicine you need. can’t decide on what flavor to get you? she gets all of them. you’re not allowed to feel bad in her care. she will make sure you’re feeling better.

Leah: she has a strong immune system so like, she doesn’t know what being sick is like. she’ll probably throw together some kind of herbal remedy and tell you to drink it even though it tastes like dirt. she’s trying though.

☺️- introduce the group!

The “ADHD Gang” is made up of Sam, Pyro, Blue and I. I put the gang in quotes because we don’t have an official name. We have had some in the past but- who would’ve seen this coming! We forgot them. Being in a band, Sam is really good at naming groups of people. He comes up with really good ones, but then he loses his train of thought and then we’re fishing him out of a river and, you know how it goes.

🤩- how did you all meet? did you recruit friends gradually or were you all together from the start?

It was gradually. The first person I was friends with was Blueberry. OG Bestie. After befriending Sam, I was like “!!!!! hey!!! i know a dude! that would vibe with your vibes!!!!” and he was like “right on!!!” They hit it off i m m e d i a t e l y. Blue also hit it off with Sam’s little brother Vincent and they are now BBF’s (tm) with bracelets stating the fact. When Pyro was added into the mix, fireworks went off. Literally. Did you know that (where I live anyways,) it’s illegal to set off fireworks on certain days? Anyways, after being bailed out, a lifelong bond was formed.

🥳- what are some of your favorite things to do together? got any favorite hang out spots?

Misdemeanours and video games. No felonies or anything, but sometimes you need to hop a fence or paint a train car or two. Pyro also does not understand laws, so, by law of association, we all have a lengthy record of arson. When we’re not causing trouble, we’re playing video games. The arcade has become our sanctuary.

Sam is the proud titleholder of #1 at Space Invaders. (Once Sebastian beat him under the very mature alias, POO. Sam did not sleep for 3 days, trying to beat him.)

Pyro loves the claw machines, often times hogging it. If a kid asks to go, though, they’ll bust off the top and just let the kid have their pick. It’s a wonder that the staff haven’t Pyro-Proofed the machine.

Me and Blue? Dance Dance Revolution babey! He’s the only one that can keep up with my Super-Sonic-Ultra-Awesome dance moves.

We visit the arcade so often that- you know the Go Kart that’s in every arcade ever that’s like 10,00 tickets? We have it. It sits in Sam’s garage and we take it out on weekends.
