Gotta speed, keed! Bingus Gougar Shingles (Crispin) the Genders’ adventure continues

We’re streaming part 3 (hopefully the last part for the sake of my sanity) of Sonic Forces tonight at 7pm UK time.

Last time we left off, we had just escaped from an actual black hole (by running very fast, obviously) and were slowly, agonisingly, climbing into the sun for some reason.

If we finish with some time to spare we’re gonna take a crack at Sonic Mania as well! See ya there! Up, over and out!

There is no "Meta Era" or "Sonic Renaissance" because the Dark Age never ended. Discuss.

I agree there's no 'Meta Era', but I dunno if I'd say the Dark Age never ended. Maybe it'd be easier to say there was no true 'Dark Age' so much as there's some good Sonic games and some bad Sonic games, with a lot of bad ones concentrated around 2003 - 2006. I mean, even then during that time we had Sonic Rush which was OK, Sonic Riders which I love, so it wasn't *all* bad. Even with my own thoughts on Unleashed, it's certainly got lots of fans, moreso than I'd say for Secret Rings or Shadow - so I'd say that, Colours and Generations were at least enough to be a 'blip' in any kind of Dark Age. And then there's stuff like Mania, and... yeah.

What constitutes a 'dark age' ultimately varies from person to person though. Like I said, most would not defend Shadow, whereas I think it's passable! Sonic's just wildly inconsistent more than anything, and so are the opinions of his fans. And that's fine.

tbf though, I mostly just don't agree with a 'Meta Era' because I think the name's bloody silly lmao, the era really wasn't that 'meta' besides a Sanic shirt in Forces.

There are no changes to the gameplay included here — all you get are new sprites to be used in the game. Why play with Sonic when you can play with the Internet legend that is Sanic?
