helloooooo my mutual(do people call each other that)...!!!! fellow music fan to fellow music fan, do you have any recommendations of bands and / or music? i need more music to listen to. personally I'm a pretty big Peach Pit fan (you never would've guessed) (the guitar solos are beautiful)) but i want to get more out of my music comfort zone

HELLO MUTUAL!!! It does not matter to me if people call each other that . We will call each other that. ANYHOW im always and forever a shooter for Norma Tanega. (Favorite songs from her are “you’re dead”, “treat me right”, and “I’m the sky”). You’d probably recognize you’re dead from what we do in the shadows if you’ve seen either the movie or the series! But her other work is very good. Very folksy!

Cub is another immediate favorite. Stuff from the box of hair album is unfortunately like impossible to find online these days (I think a specific music app owns the rights. Which sucks ass) but if you are able to find it I cant recommend pillow queen and magic 8ball enoughhh… sea pea and my chinchilla (from the betti~cola album) are amazing too though

Im also a huge they might be giants fan but I usually see the same few recommendations from flood pop up so im gonna give you nicher ones I enjoy. “nothing’s gonna change my clothes” from the pink album, “I’ve got a match” and “snowball in hell” from lincoln, “sapphire bullets” and “letterbox” from flood (I cannot avoid flood entirely. It’s extremely popular and for good reason! The entire album is a classic), “I’ll sink manhattan” from miscellaneous T… I really could keep going on forever they’ve made an absurd amount of stuff and all of it is incredibly distinct.

Other favorite bands/music artists of mine are modest mouse (PLEASEE GIVE WE WERE DEAD BEFORE YHE SHIP EVEN SANK A CHANCE IT GETS SO MUCH WORSE REP THAN IT DESERVES…) and imonster. Lust for a vampyr and goodbye sun my everythingggg

Character Intro: The Hyades (Kingdom of Ichor)

Nicknames- The Blue Sisters by Aphrodite

The Rainmakers, The Maidens of Rain by the people of Olympius

Age(s)- 22 through 17 (immortal)

Location- Corfu, Olympius

Personalities- They all have a strong sense of sisterhood & they're calm, stoic, & introverted. Coronis (the oldest) is the most loving and maternal with Phaeo being the most sensitive. Cleea is uniquely individual & artistic. Phaesyle is the bookworm intellect while Eudora is an old soul.

As goddesses of the seasonal rains, they all have the standard abilities of a goddess- except shapeshifting. Because their mom is an oceanic nymph, they all inherited the trait to breathe underwater, but they don't form tails. Other shared powers/abilities include hydrokinesis or water manipulation in all its forms- ice, snow, vapor. They can use water for healing & they can also generate rainstorms as well as tidal waves. They also have limited aerokinesis and nephelokinesis (cloud manipulation).

The sisters' main address is in the state of Corfu where they all live in a gorgeous mansion built out of marble & moonstone with their mother Aethra (an oceanic nymph). They also have a property in the Underwater realm built out of pearl & sea stone. The Hyades often spend time in Corinth where they visit their father Atlas (Titan god of strength & endurance). They have also visited Olympius' capital, New Olympus, where they often spend time in the Lunar district. The inside of the main house gives off a starry night vibe (with dark blues, purples, silvers, & gold). There are lots of floor-to-ceiling windows, a skylight, opal and obsidian countertops, velvet & satin furniture, and a grand chandelier dripping with white diamonds & blue sapphires. The sisters and their mom own many pets including hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas, bichon frises, & bernese mountain dogs.

The sisters & their mom have a strong close relationship with the shared grief and trauma they all went through. Their little brother Hyas died several years ago, but sometimes it feels as though it was yesterday. He was an adventurous precocious young kid who was the center of their universe. The sisters (Coronis especially) treated him more like a son than a little brother. They loved spending time with him as a family- doing activities like stargazing, cloud surfing, hunting, surfing, camping, and visiting aquariums. The day where their mother gave him permission to go hunting alone fills them all with regret. Hyas was only 10 when he died, attacked by a lion. It was said that they all (including their mother) continuously wept for an entire year. Now, they all have some comfort with knowing that his soul is in Elysium, probably cloud surfing with his wide toothy grin. The sisters & their mother all wear silver locket bracelets which contain some of his ashes.

It's safe to say that the death of Hyas led to the fracture of their once tight knit family. Their father completely shut down emotionally & metally and their parents eventually divorced. The sisters now check on him from time to time- bringing him food, doing household chores, & making sure that he's going to his appointments with his therapist. Coronis does water healing treatments, mellowing out Atlas' mind fog whenever he has nightmares about Hyas.

They all like their mother's aguapanela (a sugarcane drink). Cleea loves the toasted marshmallow chocolate milkshakes from The Frozen Spoon while Eudora likes the coconut tres leche milkshake. Coronis' go-to drink is a blue sapphire while Phaesyle likes the aqua pearl & Phaeo likes rum punch. They all like the olympian sized blueberry açaí splash from The Roasted Bean.

They have a big breakfast with their mother every morning. Some go-to dishes include strapatsada (scrambled eggs cooked with tomatoes), avocado toast, rizogalo, cayeye, gialetia (corn pancakes topped with powdered sugar, cinnamon, & honey), and changua (egg & milk soup). The sisters also likes their dad's blueberry french toast!

The Hyades are distant with their extended family. They haven't seen their paternal grandparents Clymene (Titaness of fame & renown) and Iapetus (Titan god of mortality, pain, & death) in almost a century. They also haven't hung out with their older half sister Calypso in a while, but they're still kept in the loop with her on Fatestagram. They don't hang out with their cousins Aidos (goddess of shame, modesty, humility, & respect) Deucalion (Deuce), Prophasis (goddess of excuses) or Pyrrha. The sisters barely know their uncles Epimetheus (Titan god of afterthought), Menoetius (Titan god of rage, violence, & rash actions), and Prometheus (Titan god of forethought).

Phaesyle helped her dad with the development of his aerospace engineering school. She loved seeing the excitement on his face & hearing the enthusiasm in his voice. For a moment, it was like how he was before his punishment & their brother's passing.

Cleea admires Selene (Titaness of the moon) & even sometimes babysits her youngest kids. She's also a member of Urania's (muse of astronomy) stargazing club.

Eudora once had a crush on Astraeus (Titan god of dusk). She even had dreams of him becoming her stepfather.

The Hyades are head of a festival held in Corfu around the middle of autumn- The Monsoon Festival. It celebrates water itself (specifically the rain) as a blessing from the gods & giving thanks to the rain for the plentiful harvests. The festival includes a massive swim race in the ocean, a boat race, food, live concerts, and fireworks. They also enjoy the Blue Moon festival in the Underwater realm.

Some of their favorite desserts include the blueberry macarons & coconut baklava from Hollyhock's Bakery, cholados colombianos, cocadas blancas, and merengon de fresas.

They're friends with Aetna (goddess of volcanoes), Nephele (goddess of clouds), Aerin (goddess of the ethereal), Eos (Titaness of dawn), Neféloma (goddess of space & dark matter), Nerissa (goddess of jellyfish), The Muses, and Pasithea (goddess of hallucinations & relaxation). They're also cool with Calypso's mother, Coralie. The Hyades admire The Pleiades as well as their mother Pleione (Titaness of sailing & stars), The Ourea (esteemed mountain gods), and Tethys (Titaness of freshwater & clouds)

The sisters like their mom's new boyfriend Evangelos who's a merman. The sisters have weekly dinners with him and their mom. They are huge fans of his imperial lobster tails with spicy seaweed & kale salad.

They're aware that their father is seeing Hesperis (goddess of the evening & sunset). When they try bringing up the topic about their relationship to him, Atlas shuts down, not wanting to talk about it.

The sisters are also in business together- they have a jewelry brand, specializing in minimalist astronomy themed designs called Stella Ferrea. They have also released a make-up palette called Celestial Dust.

As far as the sisters' romantic lives, Eudora has a girlfriend- a nephelai named Zoë. Phaeo has been talking with a cyclops named Elio on Fatestagram for a few weeks. She really likes him. The rest of the sisters aren't dating & Coronis recently ended things with her long term boyfriend Hylas.

Some of their favorite foods include aborrajado (fried banana dumplings filled with cheese & guava), mondongo, chorizo con arepa, mole de queso, & patacones.

In their free time, they all have shared interests like swimming, surfing, deep sea diving, dancing (ballet and merengue), yoga, cloud surfing, & stargazing. The sisters also have separate interests. Coronis is taking mixology classes (taught by the god of wine, Dionysus). Cleea's into fashion & make-up, so she checks out the classes at the community center in downtown New Olympus that is taught by one of The Graces, Thalia. Phaesyle loves science (astronomy) and writing, being a huge fan of the goddesses Astrape & Bronte's science fiction books. She sometimes writes short stories in her journal and has thought about attending the goddess Philyra's writing workshop for aspiring writers. Phaeo (aside from jewelry making) has also gotten into tech & blacksmithing. Eudora has gotten into amateur bodybuilding and even runs a fitness vlog on PanopTube.

Nate was admiring the smooth round face of the brand new Rolex that sat around his wrist, so polished that it was almost reflective, tracking the steady movement of the slender golden seconds hand as it tick, tick, ticked three hundred and sixty degrees.

Then he actually bothered to check what time it was, and he groaned aloud. “Xi, come on—literally every dress you’ve tried on looked great. Just pick one, I’m starving…”

“Merlin you are such a man! Just another few minutes…” Nate’s girlfriend called back from around the corner, where she’d been trying on various outfits for the past hour.

Nate sighed audibly, and leaned back in the wooden chair he was sat in. They were in an executive suite at the Casino de Monte-Carlo in Monaco—which seemed to Nate just to mean there was a desk and a chair in the room (like anyone would do actual work at a casino) and a huge circular bed.

But the views were unreal. Nate tilted the chair back on its back two legs and stretched his arms behind the chair’s back, looking out the window at the dots of light twinkling from boats sat in the harbor. Sure, maybe they were overdoing it just a little—Nate wasn’t too far gone to admit that. But after all the mountains of shit they’d been through the last couple years? The way Nate saw it, him and Xi deserved to go a little overboard on enjoying themselves.

And go overboard they certainly had. Nate had spend countless hours painstakingly training with the FTB hedges to gain some control over his probability-based discipline, while Xi, at the behest of her therapist Ruma, was working on reclaiming a sense of control over her life by going after the things she wanted.

Did anyone expect Nate and Xiomara to take these newfound skills and put them to use by robbing a bunch of unsuspecting No-Maj establishments blind?

Honestly, probably. But for now, it meant they were living large and loving it, snatching up far more than their fill on clothes, and jewels, and famous works of art, and—

“There is one piece I haven’t worn yet…” came Xiomara’s sultry, suggestive tone. And then she walked around the corner in a long, sleek fur coat that stretched down to her calves, patched with velvety chevrons of white and grey and black chinchilla fur—an exact replica of Sharon Stone’s coat from Casino.

And nothing else.

Nate choked a little on air and the two chair legs that were in the air slammed back to the floor with a loud clack, and an expression that was more delighted than it should have been spread across his face. “Holy fucking shit—where did you even find that? To be honest, I thought you fell asleep during that movie, but fuck, can I just—”

Xiomara had smirked at this predictable reaction and started to saunter toward Nate, but the moment Nate tried to reach out to run his fingers through the cloud-soft tufts that covered her body, he heard something mechanical happening with the Rolex at his wrist, and then something cool and hard and metal clamped his arms in place behind the back of the chair.

“Um…” Nate said dumbly. He tried to pull at the unexpected restraints, but they wouldn’t budge. “…Xi. Honey. Did you fuck with my watch?”

The smug expression that Xi returned to him was positively triumphant; Alexander the Great conquering an empire. “Oh baby…” she purred, pitying and coy, “…you didn’t really think you were the only one with friends to make them flashy little magic toys, did you?”

It was a wonder Nate’s heart didn’t stop ticking on the spot.

Then Xi slid herself between Nate and the desk he’d sat pointlessly behind and hoisted herself up onto it; the coat gaped open in the front and Xi crossed one smooth white thigh over the other, revealing everything and nothing. There was a magnificent yellow sapphire the size of an apricot that used to belong to a Russian czar, which they’d pilfered from a glass display in a museum last week, that now hung low in the center of Xiomara’s chest, resting against the smooth patch of skin below her breasts. Nate imagined kissing her right there, lavishing his tongue all over the polished, perfect prism of Xiomara’s body, and he made a needy, whining sound as he pulled forward against the magic restraining him again.

Xi tsked her tongue at him—naughty boy—and pressed the toe of her high-heeled shoe against Nate’s sternum to push him back in the chair, and Nate’s brain frazzled at the edges with fractals of sparkling light. Then Xi reached over and very calmly picked up the telephone that was sitting atop the desk, dialed a number, and waited. “Xi, what the fuck are you—” Nate tried, but Xi’s pressed her shoe against his chest hard enough to leave a mark, and Nate shut up.

To someone on the other end of the line, Xiomara said, “Oui, je voudrais commander le service en chambre…”

Nate gaped at her—dinner the last thing on his mind anymore—and said, “Jesus Christ, fuck the food! You made your point, okay, I just want to—”

Seeing no other option, Xi reached out the hand that wasn’t holding the phone and physically covered Nate’s mouth. He narrowed his eyes at her, and then kissed the center of her palm with exaggerated wetness, which earned Nate a smirk as Xi finished her exchange with the hotel staff.

She dropped the phone back into the receiver and reiterated, “So impatient…” To which Nate just shrugged, not contesting the point. Xi slid forward and into his lap, brushing her fingers along the stubble on his cheek to thread up into his hair. He could finally feel the fur tickling his forearms and it was so fucking soft—a stark contrast to the sharp look that gleamed in Xiomara’s eyes, the gold in them glinting like the karats around her throat. Nate wanted to be buried by the extravagant splendor of her, an Egyptian pharaoh entombed in gold; the richest man in the afterlife.

“…still hungry?” she teased, her breath soft and fine like rabbit fur centimeters from Nate’s lips.

“Mm, ravenous,” he replied with a smirk, eager for chance to be devoured by the likes of her.

Since it is my birthday today and last year I told you 10 facts about me, this year I am just going to give you 15 facts as that is how old I am.

1. Chinchillas have 20x the hair in a follicle than humans do, making them have to bathe in dust and not water as their fur will get moldy.

2. Blue whales are the biggest animals that have ever lived on this planet and we are sharing the space with them!

3. Hammerhead sharks are scared of bubbles.

4. My turtle is a dumbass.

5. Cheetahs have been known to have high anxiety, so zoos have to give them their own emotional support dogs.

6. Since I am 15 now, I will be learning how to drive. Watch out America.

7. I said that these randoms facts won't be about me, I mostly lied.

8. The largest snake that has ever lived was a Titanoboa, those snakes used to be roughly 42 feet long.

9. Most of these facts are about animals.

She has a long tail, around three feet long, covered in colorful feathers with a spike at the end that can turn into three, kind of like the mud demon from Riddick. She also has very sharp teeth much like a dragons.
