don’t watch period | drop if not interested within 2-3 episodes | give it a go, could be your thing | 5 star recommendation
fav characters: Emma Ray and Norman are a dream team of protags and I love them a lot. Phil deserves a spin off.
least fav characters: Uhhh I dont think theres any character I super hate but I’m not a huge fan of the super expanded cast in the later manga. Pls stick to less characters, shonen anime.
fav relationship: Ray and Emma’s friendship over the series is really good. It’s great to see how the two of them change eachother and go from butting heads to truely depending on eachother.
fav moment: Connies death. Rays fire scene. Emmas speeches are always great. The final escape seaquence is crazy etc.
headcanons/theories: Norman isn’t evil you peices of shit hes a goodboy SIT DOWN.
Also as much as I love him, I think I would have been ok if he’d actually died in the first arc. It would have been a very severe but intresting blow to Emma and Ray and without any pulled punches. Emma and Ray dealing with his death was very interesting and I think they could have gone harder on that front.
unpopular opinion: It’s first two arcs are definatly its strongest, the current poltics state of the manga was getting confusing for me so I’ve slipped off reading for now. I’ll probably finish it up at some point.
how’d you find it: At this point in my life all good anime and manga i consume comes straight from what Zoe reccomends me.
random thoughts: Norman wasn’t really a character I cared about on my first readthrough but after his long absence in the manga and rewatching the anime I found myself getting pretty fond of him. He’s the smart anime character sure, but he has a lot of moments of vunerability when your kind of reminded he’s...eleven. When Connie dies or when hes about to be shipped and he breaks down and gets emotional its a nice reminder he’s not some logic machine. I’ll never forget that “i want to live” panel.

Photo seaquence of a Bottlenose Dolphin surfacing! I actually captured these pics from up on top of "the trestle" in Gasparilla Sound, a set of old, currently unused train tracks which were once operational in the old days of phosphate mining around Charlotte Harbor. Underwater, the trestle structure has become a miniature "reef" over the years, attracting many different species of fish and marine life, and in turn has become a popular hunting ground among the local dolphins.

24. What is the strangest website you have bookmarked?
So… Apparently I need to clean up my bookmarks because there is some ooooold stuff in there. Here are 3 highlights:
Years ago, I was preparing to go visit an archive to do research on radical lesbian relationships in the 1970s. Thus this Department of Parking & Transportation link.
A while back when my family was making a lawn decision, I was looking into the possibility of planting clover instead of grass, thus this link on Clover Seeds.
