Underappreciated BG3 characters that don't get the love they deserve, in no particular order (no spoilers, long post warning)

Volo

No thoughts, head empty, zero planning skills. This man is completely stupid, a daft fool, an idiot of the ages, but has the charisma and charm to pull it off. Plus he has amazing facial hair and outfit. I do wish he had more lines and more stuff to do.

Withers

Adore him. His diction, his ye olde anglic language. He is an absolute freak and knows it and goes all in on that. He's like a grandpa that doesn't give a shit anymore and is very friendly in his own weird way and if you don't like it, it's your problem. Same problem as with Volo though. I want more of the Jerky-Man.

Mizora

THS ABSOLUTE BITCH! THIS TOTAL CUNT! Every time she appears you are in for a bad time or an impossible choice, but it's always a spectacle. An absolute joy on screen, but a total nightmare for the party. She's just so delightfully evil and it's great to watch her serve cunt in the most diabolical way possible.

Jaheira

OG BG Grandma doesn't get enough respect. I know that she arrives relatively late in the story, when you already have a druid, but that's no reason to ignore her, people. She has such juicy dialogue and reminds me of Wynne from DA:O, only a little bit more jaded and with a hairstyle that fucks severly. A true diamond in the rough of a character.

Barcus Wroot

Barcus Wroot is a hero. In this house we stan Barcus Wroot. He may be not as fun as some more flashy characters, but he's definitely one of the most heroic ones. Naive, timid and good hearted to a fault, he repeatedly decides to face great dangers only to be berated again and again, and yet he still does good things, simply because it's right. A true loser turned hero, unappreciated by many. But not me.

Isobel

I have a big crush on Isobel. To say anything more about her would break my no spoilers pledge, so let's leave it at that.

You can never please everyone

There will always be nasty people on here, that’s how it works so avoid them at all costs

Someone can have differing opinions, we are human, but having conversations is a lot more productive than yelling at someone/using hate speech

Broo- I didn't watch the live stream but figured I'd just watch some clips and vids posted to YouTube of the twitchcon event with Dream there and everything. I was pretty excited because I know this was Dream's first event and he was excited as well, but damn, what the hell was that 😭

Dude, that was wild. All the people touching and taking things that weren't theirs (ex: George's water bottle), the people who were pushing past others and putting their hands on others, the people who were being blatantly rude and selfish, I mean- that's just unacceptable man.

And that's ignoring the fact that the host, staff, and general panel and setup were pretty unprepared/ill-equipped. (Lack of microphones, poorly planned questions, lack of seating, etc.)

But I mean, seriously? Wearing a shirt with NSFW content on it, at an event with (I'm guessing) predominantly MINORS, of two CCs AT THE EVENT? That's just crossing the boundaries and it's super uncomfortable.

And the way people treated Dream? He was so respectful and kept his cool when he was definitely not being treated the way he should've been. You could tell he was so tired and just trying to get back to his room, but people kept tapping him, pulling on him, yelling at/to him; I mean- that's just nuts.

Ultimately I was just surprised at how wonky the event was and how disrespectful everyone was being.

Hopefully Dream is alright and not too overwhelmed. I'm proud of him and I hope he was able to have fun regardless. On the positive side, I'm loving the fanart of him with his hat :) (and George)

I just hope this doesn't discourage him from wanting to attend any other events in the future, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was reluctant either.

Content creators are people too and need to be treated as such.

The security, staff, equipment, disrespectful fans, and apparently accomodations (or rather, lack thereof) for disabled people as well, were just disappointing.

I'm grateful for the good moments, though, and hope that it was enjoyable for at least some of the CCs and fans.

(and I'm also grateful for Karl's humour, it made the event more bearable.)
