Dating Eyeless Jack would include (plus general Jack headcannons)

Hello hello!! Im back with another list of headcannons!! This time with EJ!! Hope you all enjoy!!

First off, he's a hermit. He doesn't like people, especially in my take of him

I personally headcannon Eyeless Jack to be more of a person being possessed/turning into a monster rather than being a monster at creation, yk? Its built off that one spin off backstory someone wrote; where Jack is in school and gets caught up in some cult stuff

Yeah that story!! I took that one and the original and mashed it up!! My idea is that Jack is still there, mostly normal but has a barely controllable hunger for flesh ++ he body deteriorates as time passes to better resemble how we all know him (grey skin, maybe sharp teeth if you hc it, ect ect)

Now that I've caught you up with my take on him, I'll continue!! Since he's in this position I feel like it'd be near impossible for him to actually. Allow himself to have a romantic relationship, or any relationship for that matter.. he feels that you being around him will put you in danger

Thats not to say my EJ is evil! Hes not, its just the funky curse that compels him to eat meat

But let's say he does find you, and lets his walls down, and you two get together

To start, he rarely takes off his mask outside of feeding times, most times he can't remember the details of; often being a blur left in his mind due to his curse

So mask kisses! Lots and lots of them! You'll have to be the one to initiate it though <\3 Jack never seemed to be the type to seek n give affection, at least to me

On the off chance you do see him without the mask, he might.. MIGHT let you actually kiss him

He's got sharp teeth, that's one reason he's nervous about kissing you for real

He also has half a dozen long, writhing, snake like tongues in his mouth. Cult rituals, amirite? I mean.. he doesn't really know.. how that'd work..

Oh before I forget to mention! My EJ is short, but stout!! 5'6 but he's got a wide frame!! Strong!! Do not tease him on his height because he will be moody for the rest of the day

Sometimes on cold days he lets you snuggle up with him inside his jacket

If he's coming to visit you, he'll be the most polite guest ever

Come over to his place, a little abandoned cabin in the woods? He'll be a good host!! Just please don't go into the room in the far right corner of the cabin 😋😋 that totally isnt where he primarily feeds 😋

I feel like he can't really eat. Normal food

Tough tiddies oh well

Actually now that I think about it my take on Jack kinda reminds me of the ghouls from Tokyo Ghoul

Anyways

Oh y/n please play with his hair!! Its nice and soft and fluffy!! He won't outright ask you to do it, but he'll send signals!!

He doesn't talk much but he's a good listener! He's not shy or anything, it's just that he's more observant and reserved. Even before.. everything that happened to him, he wasn't much of a talker

Doesn't sleep much, he doesn't really need to anymore

On nights where he isnt out.. doing his thing, he might come into your room and watch over you

Not to be creepy!! Even if it is.. creepy.. yk?

It's his own way of making sure nothing happens

He will knock it off if you ask him too though! He'll likely limit it to quickly checking in on you to make sure you're safe and sound

He's cold.. ice cold.. whether or not that deems him a not so good cuddle buddy is up to you

Takes a very very long time to warm up to affection. You'll likely have to wait for him to take the first steps, or to catch the signs, you know?

Luxiem & A Trace Of Wonder

WARNING: Please remember that I am writing about Luxiem based on their characters online and not of the people behind their vtuber avatars, thank you!

EXTRA NOTES: wuwuywuwywuw did i finally start writing again??? yes . do i have a new fixation on a bl novel???also yes so now im mashing these two interests of mine together... just like how i started this blog

GENERAL

a luxiem au based on 해의 흔적 (a trace of wonder)

for the sake of this au, they are from the same jp guild - Luxiem (the guild from the original is an sk guild, so since anycolor is jp, luxiem will fall under jp.... plus en is a very broad area... bear with me LMAO)

Luxiem are considered the top JP Guild and one of the top guilds worldwide

the source material IS from a BL novel, but there will be no mentions of romance for this post

i went a little chuuni to name the abilities ok i dont think the novel had that - im just cringe like that

dear god i did not proofread this but something definitely possessed me in order to write this out instead of whatever college essay i got due soon

BRIEF ATOW UNIVERSE EXPLANATION

ok so think of it as like a modern era rpg game - the awakened class of people refers to those with supernatural abilities and dungeons are areas in the world where treasure and strong monsters spawn (sometimes these dungeons are based on parts of history as well)

the awakened class makes up about 10% of the population

those who are awakened have access to these dungeons in order to beat them within a certain time frame with Class S dungeons being the most deadly

those who are awakened also form guilds in order to enter such dungeons and have jurisdiction over ones that spawned with the guild's country - no other country is allowed to interfere with another

those who are awakened have two abilities - one main and one hidden ; the hidden ability also comes with a penalty and should be used with caution as the power may interfere with every day life outside of combat/cause hindrance when dungeon crawling

for the powerscalling in the universe, it is from Class E (lowest) to Class S (highest) ; this works for both the classification of awakened people and dungeon ranking

the main abilities that are at least mentioned here are restorers, hunters, mages and healers ; 2/4 classes are combative while the others are non-combative, but still useful when dungeon crawling

i hope my shitty explanation gets you to read the novel/manwha so that you can understand it better LMAO

IKE EVELAND

CLASSIFICATION: Class A Healer

MAIN ABILITY: Priest's Waterfall

ike has the ability to heal using his staff without using too much mana. however, he is restricted to water - by using other elements, he runs the risk of depleting too much mana before entering the boss' room in a dungeon.

his staff has the appearance of a large quill. no one knows the reasoning behind it as most staffs on the guild markets are stick-like

HIDDEN ABILITY: Darkness of the Deep

ike has the hidden ability to summon a powerful tentacle-like creature of nightmares. with this, ike switches classes - from non-combative to combative. however, the tentacle-like creature is sentient and moves on its own, ike has no control over what it hits. the creature is also considered to be a glass canon ; while it is powerful, it can only withstand attacks for so long and is on a time limit.

ike can only use his hidden ability when threatened ; he and mysta are the only non-combative members of the guild and this is his only way of protecting them both if no one else could not help.

PENALTY: everything he touches becomes an inky water

without mysta around, most solid objects around ike become an inky liquid that is as viscous as water if he touches it - it's strange, but definitely an inconvenience to his everyday life.

fortunately, his penalty does not harm humans

his strength lies in his durability and mana. he is also quite knowledgable of different types of potions and strengthening spells that help out with dungeon crawling

in fact, ike naturally houses the most mana within the guild followed by shu, mysta, vox and luca.

he originally came from a swedish guild overseas before his meeting with vox, who recruited ike with the promise of hatsune miku figures if he joined Luxiem (this is my attempt at humor)

ike is usually the one who gathers intel on their next dungeon - thanks to his quick reading speed and familiarity with mythos, ike predicts what would the location and boss of the dungeon with 99.99% accuracy

LUCA KANESHIRO

CLASSIFICATION: Class A Hunter

MAIN ABILITY: Heightened Strength

despite not wielding any kind of weapon, luca is proud of his brute strength - just one tap from him could reduce skyscrapers into dust clouds.

HIDDEN ABILITY: Shapeshifting

luca's hidden ability can only be activated if he has ingested a specific kind of gemstone - however with his hidden ability, he can only turn into a lion that possesses supernatural qualities for a short period of time

the lion is big btw ... just letting you know haha

PENALTY: Lion's Mane

with the penalty in place, luca essentially walks around with a huge lion's mane. he complains about how heavy it is and how the hair gets everywhere

unlike the other members, luca does not possess any magical strength - arguably he could just be a regular civilian who happens to possess superhuman strength; most of luxiem thought he was a civilian until they found out about his penalty

he also is proficient with long range weapons such as guns and arrows, but he is mainly the brawler of the group

while luca was originally scouted by vox to join, luca is actually the one who has the leadership role - the demon said that he prefers a more 'in the shadows' kind of role anyways and handed the position to luca; the guild members aren't sure if luca is actually aware of that, but they all appreciate the work and effort he gives towards the guild.

the guild luca was in has a partnership with luxiem and is currently being led by his older brother

MYSTA RIAS

CLASSIFICATION: Class A(?) Restorer

MAIN ABILITY: Restoration

after seeing a structure, mysta has the ability to 'restore' it to it's original state - for instance, if ike had turned a wardrobe into ink, mysta has the ability to restore the wardrobe's appearance and functionality before it was turned into ink.

mysta's true abilities is unknown - if anything, he has enough magical strength to bring life back

however, there are some ethical issues involving the restoration of life and is considered taboo for a restorer to interfere with the death of a living thing.

generally, mysta has the strength to restore even stadiums after an earthquake to its original form and functionality - it is possible that he may be a Class S, but no further assessment has been made yet

HIDDEN ABILITY: Medusa's Petrification.

this is the only ability mysta has that is allowed to be used on living creatures - he essentially turns things into stone rather than restoring them to its original state

the only way this ability is activated is when mysta experiences a very strong emotion such as fear or despair

he only has to look at the object or creature in front of him in order for it to turn into stone - fortunately, even with the hidden ability activated, he could still undo the process if he accidentally petrifies a guild member

PENALTY: Floating

for some odd reason, mysta's penalty is that he has no control over gravity - his body becomes weightless and therefore starts to float. he essentially becomes a balloon and many of the guild members just walk him around with a string attached to his belt so he doesn't fly off to who knows where before his penalty wanes off.

mysta was actually not part of a guild when he was scouted - in fact, he was working as an odd-jobs repair man who did small gigs in order to get by.

mysta also has the least amount of dungeon experience as he is of a non-combative class ; surprisingly enough, not many guilds seek restorers to join.

despite that, mysta is a highly sought out restorer due to his efficiency - buildings turned into rubble could be restored within a matter of seconds

he is also the only one in the guild who is responsible for the loot they earned and items each member brings into the dungeons

SHU YAMINO

CLASSIFICATION: Class S Mage

MAIN ABILITY: Summoner

as his main ability states, shu is a summoner who could gather up to Class A monsters to listen to him.

he also has the ability to call upon 'yokai'-classed monsters through the usage of shikigami ; this aspect of his ability is dependent on the amount of shikigamis he brings with him into dungeons.

HIDDEN ABILITY: God's Messenger

when activated, shu has the ability to call down one of japan's seven lucky gods to battle. this is randomized and he doesn't have the ability to choose which one will come help.

luckily for him, he doesn't have to worry about the gods not responding to him; no matter the call, they will answer.

depending on who is summoned, shu takes on the form of one of the seven lucky gods and uses their abilities in combat.

essentially, shu becomes possessed by the god he has summoned but does run the risk of being permanently possessed by them even though his combat ability is on a timer

the only problem with this ability is that this can only be activated if he senses that the danger is too high ; ideally in Class S dungeons where the survival rate is essentially 0%.

PENALTY: Inability to feel pain

this penalty could be proven fatal to shu as he would be numb to all kinds of pain - from the tiniest scratch to getting his heart ripped out ; it would be too late for shu to notice if anything bad happens to him.

this penalty is activated the minute he uses his hidden ability, thus putting his own life at an even higher risk of possession and even death

similarly to mysta, shu was not a part of a guild when he was scouted, in fact, he had been staying at his family's temple as one of the priests who carried out sacred rituals to protect his town from dungeons spawning nearby.

tragically, shu is one of the few guild members to experience loss through the dungeons.

when vox found him, he was surround by the rubble of what was originally his home town - the Class A dungeon wiped the town off the map. with no where else to go, shu decided to follow vox and the rest of luxiem.

shu often helps ike with intelligence and is often in charge of dungeons that originate in japanese mythos

he was the last member to be recruited - words of a powerful sorcerer had reached vox's ears, but he didn't expect to find him in that state.

despite the tragedy, shu is thankful for having met the boys of luxiem - he's glad to call them home

VOX AKUMA

CLASSIFICATION: Class S Hunter

MAIN ABILITY: Shadow Swordsman

vox is quite proficient with the sword, combined with the demon-like energy that festers within the shadows, he becomes an unstoppable killing machine

not only can he infuse the dark energy into whatever blade he is holding, he also has the ability to create a clone who wields the sword the same way he does

HIDDEN ABILITY: Divine Judgement

he has the ability to strike a mighty light into his opponents - it is a devastating ability that clashes with his already dark main ability

it can strike through the thickest material and destroy what is wicked ; often destroying the dungeon completely and automatically clearing it in order to avoid any more casualties.

it is another ability that can only be activated during dire situations, similarly to shu's hidden ability.

PENALTY: Temporary Blindness

as the light he summons is from the almighty, it does temporarily blind vox for a little while as punishment for using god's ability for his quest to find out what causes dungeons to spawn

the first and last time vox had his penalty in place, shu was the one who helps guide him around with the usage of his shikigami - on the other hand, luca was the one to pull pranks on vox while he's blind (vox can tell it's luca because of his laugh)

vox has the most dungeon crawling experience out of all the members of luxiem and is the one who recruited all of them to join his guild - he's happy to find such like minded people he could call home.

while his physical or magical strength doesn't exceed all members of luxiem, he is the most proficient and stable in terms of combat ; he has used his hidden ability only once in his entire career as a hunter

luxiem's leader in the shadows, while he doesn't take a direct leadership role, vox usually is the one who approves of or disapproves of luca's wild antics.

ok a lot of the times, vox does approve of luca's antics because "he's just being silly your honour" - only when the situation is that dire will he take matters into his own hands.

he's usually the one calling strategy meetings before going into dungeons

can i say top 5😭 in order of appearance: sometimes you hear the bullet, 5 o'clock charlie, alcoholics unanimous, movie tonight, and a war for all seasons (even though i find its contribution to the canon timeline infuriating, its one of the highlights of the later seasons) shout out to tuttle which was the first episode i showed the rest of my family (they all loved it) <3 there are others id want to mention but it would become something like a top 20 so. Another time.

24. what’s your favorite prank ever pulled? why?

im not good at remembering specific pranks considering how many happen over the course of 200+ episodes. the first that came to mind was the whole tuttle episode idk if it counts as A Prank but i think that nothing can beat that. i love whenever they replace frank's gun with some harmless object like a water pistol or a plunger (attaboy frank flush 'em outta the skies!) or a stapler it's always priceless. and when they put frank in a box while he's asleep😭 most of the best silly little pranks were during Frank's era but i also love the rubber chicken in charles' teapot, and in trick or treatment at the end when bj makes charles' light above his bed sway, it's not much as far as pranks goes but i guess i love that scene and Hawk and bj's reactions:)

these are coming from a 80s obsessed brett kin with diagnosed social anxiety, a weird relationship with my family, and a golden retriever complex so it's basically like he's telling you himself tbh !

• okay so first ones not really a headcannon but more just a detail that I feel like im the only one that remembers: brett plays guitar!!!!!!! maybe it was just my guitarist brain but I seen this in like the first episode and never forgot. he definitely will randomly pull out his guitar (like full on david cc style) and start playing like in the middle of like a meeting or some dumb shit. he probably plays down at like at some local Cafe or something on the weekends. all 80s too obviously

• brett loving the 80s definitely resulted in a lot of different more 80s ish themed hobbies/interest. Bowling, arcade games, roller skating yk shit like that

• he most definitely can break dance? obvs.

• i feel like music wise it would be a mix of 80s obvs but also like early 2000s since that around when he grew up. I honestly feel like it would also be really similar to patrick batemans music taste 💀 but definitely a lot of Whitney Houstin, Huey Lewis, Talking Heads, but also some Madona, Dave Matthew's (which was already mentioned in the show), Death Cab, The postal service, Lumineers, and Vance joy. I also get am receiving a very large Bee Gees presence in him.

• he definitely overthinks his suits a lot. he will put his all into perfectly selecting a suit and making sure everything about it is on point. it was definitely an anxiety thing that just turned into a habit over time

• speaking of the anxiety, he has a lot of shows—some obvious some not. For once the leg bouncing is definitely a thing; that's a given. But also counting, like literally anything, he will just count. and that finger digging thing?? you basically and kinda just like digging your thumb nail into your fingers??? I do it a lot and it's not like a sh thing I swear it's just an easy way to disperse negative energy when something kinda catches you off gaurd or whatever !!

•i feel like he would live in a really blank apartment: white walls, white sheets, white floors, minimal furniture—everything minimal. except for just a bunch of 80s posters everywhere. you walk into this man's apartment and you are met with micheal Jackson, jaws, Whitney Houston, breakfast club, back to the future, all that shit.

• he is a germaphobe. I can just feel it. Not really with physical contact—but more public spaces. He refuses to touch and door handles, railings, or anything unless there is a sink or hand sanitizer nearby. he probably just watched to much science shit from being left unattended when he was younger it its just built up a fear in him

• he tryst to get the gang to do ' team building activities ' like EVERY weekend. he does actually succeed sometimes. Such activities can include: twister, karaoke, board games / video games ( family game night 🤭 ) , disco parties. you get it.

• he is a horrible cook. he may have been left unattended but he still had plenty of butlers around to make him food thus removing the need to learn how to himself. he probably makes the worst concoctions known to man—like the shit you find on the lunch trays of feral middleschools that dare their friends to eat the mashed-potatoe-chocolate-milk-bannana-bean-taco-meat-old-hard-chelse kinda shit. we all have some horrific war flashback in mind. and he thinks he is a CHEF.

• despite that he probably makes really good smoothies!! being a gym trainer and everything he got really good at it and will craft the most heavenly shakes and smoothies to ever bless your tounge.

• ummmmmm love language physical touch who?? brett, that's who. not even romantically but he just loves physical contact. words are hard. hugs are not.

• he probably think he is like a Disney princess and is a friend to all animals and for the most part he is but bird are definitely his worst enemy I can 100% see him getting his ass bit by a goose or getting shit on by a duck while trying to feed it bread. reagan probably had to give him a lesson om why he shouldn't give ducks bread too. he cried when he found out why that's a no no.

Part 4 of my Landskap oc series! (Now with picture!)

This part is dedicated to Härjedalen,my absolute fav cause its where im from :DDD

Härjedalen is a boy who is slightly above avarage in height,and is also rather skinny.He has fairly long brown hair and hazel eyes,aswell as rather pale skin that looks more tanned than it actually is due to him often being covered in dirt.

He is physically around the age of 6-7,but both looks older than he actually is and acts younger sometimes.

He likes to dress in either the style of Adam Sandler,or as a viking.He constantly also likes wearing a bear skin cape,which is still being debated whether or not its real..

He also has a lot of scars because he gets himself injured way to often,by for example climbing trees,using knives,trying to start fires,thinking that boars are friendly cause they arent carnivores,the list goes on- (Most of these injuries are based off ones i got as a child lmao,dont pet boars kids.)

Härjedalen is a rather akward boy who is non-verbal (*cough* autistic *cough*) unless he’s in trusted company,which is mostly his sister.He rarely thinks before acting which can land him in trouble.

He fondly remembers his founders,and has a slight hyperfixation on the viking age and norse mythology.To this day he swears that he does not believe in any of the old norse vaesen (despite being one of the few that can see them) but he still does things to not anger them.Just in case yk..

He can be very expressive even when using gestures to show what he means.

he enjoys using his reputation as a sparesly populated landskap and the fact that he is often overshadowed by his sister to hide how odd he really can be (If you are ever in härjedalen,check if something called bykampen is gonna happen soon,its a once a year sports competition between some villages and its the most entertaining shit i swear-its like a drunk finn made the sports.)

Härjedalens best friend is his sister jämtland,but he can occasionally get along with trondelag and Dalarna.He and his sister both get along better with norway and his landskap (idk How to say it in norwegian-) because of How long they belonged to norway,and to this day Härjedalen has yet to get many friends.

Härjedalen’s Favorite animal is the bear! (He also has the worlds largest wooden bear,at around 80 tonnes and over 10 meters..)

His favorite flower is the flowers of the cloudberry,and his favorite color is green,just like his sister.

His favorite food Also includes swedish tunnbröd,just like his sister,however,Härjedalen enjoys tunnbrödrullar,which is swedish tunnbröd with mashed potatoes,hotdogs and various toppings which is rolled into a roll (Mm yes,the floor is made out of floor).

His intests include hiking,climbing trees,looking at animals,trying to catch said animals and failing,carving wood and watching cartoons (He deffo likes Alfons Åberg).

He also likes picking berries and mushrooms,however,he has on several occasions nearly eaten deathcap because he thought they were edible.

Overall,Härjedalen is a sweet,accidentprone boy who has little to No social life!

i think i can call today’s post a real cooking post.. i think…

remember the mashed potatoes from my last post? they went bad… i dunno why, i kept them in the fridge at all times! oh well, it happens. what’s the use in crying over some potatoes? actually, i could use some rn im kinda hungry :(

nevertheless! i also made sauce to go w/ them(the tomato one) and i still have a lot of it, so i decided to cook some “pasta”.

so, let’s start with the heart, the soul, of this dish:

for my sauce you will need

some tomatoes, i recommend using big ones

bell peppers

white onion

garlic

paprika and other spices if you’d like

you can honestly add whatever else you think is great, its a really simple sauce, the room for experiments is huge. i sometimes add some cream and/or cheese. i also like to roast my garlic in the oven prior, but only if something else is cooking. otherwise i think it’s a waste of oven’s time lol.

you cut up your veggies and fry them, i usually use olive oil. you don’t need a lot of any type of oil, just a dash is perfect. if you roast you garlic, it can wait for others to catch up.

tomatoes give a lot, and i mean A LOT of water, so in case you are not feeling a runny substance you can drain some of the water from the pan. next on the list is blendering it all up and adding seasoning. you can also use a strainer for the peels ( i have never peeled my tomatoes before and never will, not for this).

you boil your pasta according to instructions, and then mix it all up. i also added cheese to the pasta, because i did not add it to the sauce. its better if both the sauce and pasta are warm, but if not, i recommend heating it all up. and i think it’s done!! 🌟

again, its a very simple dish, so you can add a bunch of other toppings to it :)

p.s: i really like this brand of pasta cuz it’s gluten free

FORGOT MY OC COUPLE DAPHI AND DEX,, i made them like nearly 2 yrs ago and just remembered them 😭😭

This is like, a lil doodle moment of one of their first interactions before how they r now. I guess ill infodump on it bc im a SUCKERRR for that.

ANYWAYS so, Dex kinda started off in an underground death metal band as a guitarist and main vocalist. Rat ((the drummer, aka the one pestering him in the doodle)) would always be all cocky and loud abt their music. Sometimes they’d break into places at midnight just to start a lil crowd from their music. Eventually someone caught onto their band and invited them to a public beach, promising a fully flooded crowd. Dex, is not too fond of large crowds and stresses out in public, trying to tempt Rat it wasn’t a good idea.

Ofc Rat is a sucker for crowds and attention, so he obviously took the invite against Dex’s will. They realized how big the crowd was at their arrival and were absolutely horrified, but it was too late to turn back now. Dex had the gift of music + growling vocals scarier than a whole ass garbage disposal on fire which attracted some others to join the crowd. He seemed confident on stage ((although literally he was scared SHITLESS)). However, alongside the shore, he didn’t know he had a new admirer.

Daphi, the gift of a nymphs voice ((kinda like its some siren spell)). She was absolutely new to this genre but something about having a powerful voice struck her. She was usually timid and shy, but something fueled some confidence in her, like she wasn’t left alone anymore. She sang along with Dex’s vocals as if it was mashing 2 genres together ((which oddly WORKED OUT???)). Her voice had this lure to it, which one Dex heard it he was like “Holy shit who is THAT??” like this sudden powerful voice just struck the stage. He was absolutely ADORING it, and once his performance was over, he kinda side-eyed the shoreline, and slowly approached the water.

ANOTHER DEAFIE ON F1BLR! i feel so left out when people talk about engine noises and things 😭 i was born profoundly Deaf, sensorineural, so it’s good to know i’m not alone around here ❤️

WELCOME 🫂 i want to give you the biggest hug.

i’m moderate-severe in both of my ears, so i can still hear the cars but i really heavily rely on closed captions for commentary, lip reading, context, transcripts, etc. if i’m in a quiet room i can listen to things like podcasts etc, but if not, everything sounds all mashed up.

im sorry you feel left out, it must feel so horrible. i actually only lost my hearing last december. (i remember the exact date, december 19). december last year was a terrible time for me, i just had problem after problem after problem. the first few months were a blur but i found out that my hearing wouldn’t recover on my birthday. (february 27 if you want a time frame).

growing up one of my biggest fears was losing my hearing/ one of my senses, and now that it has actually happened, it isn’t too bad 😅. obviously the vertigo, ear infections, aches, and tinnitus, is bad, but one thing i’ve learnt over the past 7 months is how accepting the D/deaf/HOH community is. when i figured that my hearing wasn’t going to get any better without surgery to try repair my tympanic membranes (which i am not getting, there’s far too many risks in my opinion. id rather wait for hearing aids which i won’t get for months) i instantly went searching online for people like me and they’re all so nice :)

my hearing loss started as a sinus infection so mine is conductive, not sensorineural - the pressure built up in my sinuses so much that i practically obliterated both of my eardrums from a single yawn. i ended up losing about half of my hearing. my doctor thought i had eustachian tube dysfunction because my hearing sounds muffled like i’m under water. my hearing has never been the best before the illness too and i’ve struggled with ruptured eardrums before from when i was about 10 and i got scarlet fever and other various colds etc (these should’ve been the first red flags) but my hearing has ALWAYS recovered. accepting and realising that my hearing won’t actually recover has been the hardest part of all of this in my opinion. i think the psychological impact was a lot larger than the physical one, personally. what happened to me is so rare and usually people recover within a few weeks, so i really beat myself up about it happening, blamed myself, etc.

i’m obviously not as affected as some people are and i’m really lucky, but it’s such a struggle sometimes and i feel like nobody understands my rants so it’s just so nice to know someone here can get my frustration 🙂 (and the good things too).

it so relieving to know i’m not entirely alone on f1blr 🤟🤍

Sometimes I wonder if I should stop boymoding at work. Like itd really help my overall stress, not having to be so performatively masculine while hiding actively growing C cups so that nobody knows that in my off time im an entirely unrecognizable person. And then i have two coworkers talk over my shoulders about absolutely batshit conspiracies about Jews and the NWO and Covid being a coverup for the underground ww3 cities project and i remember

"oh yeah, the baseline attitude around here is that Im not human. I and people like me are demons to these people. and they control my fucking paychecks."

Like this shits normal around here, everyone i talk to in this town is super chill and friendly and then backhands you with the most insane string of words youve ever heard and you just have to smile and nod while mashing the eject button on the conversation

the damn size kink fic really came tf out of nowhere? i remember starting it like "what am i even supposed to do here" & it just unfolded so easily. suddenly it was very nasty & long (like claudio). something took me over & wrote that fic, im convinced. plus wheeler/claudio size kink/size play has become a favorite of mine. you have no idea how much i loved writing insatiable. that dynamic was so *chefs kiss* to me for some reason. sweet, indulgent regal playing with slutty, sub mox. giving him what he needs. also morning sex :D the prequel to this fic has been rewritten like six times but i may finally have a handle on it to get it done. Does the netherworld in snakeoil work like a mixture between the movie and the cartoon versions? Because if ghosts and monsters are buying things, similar to the owl house but more fucked up, it sounds like its sorta got the toon version of the netherworld with some of the creepy aesthetics of the movie netherworld civil offices. Or are you worldbuilding it to be something else with different rules, because youve only mentioned that blood sells well and I kinda love worldbuilding when it comes to the netherworld and how people make it work

its a bit of a mix and mash, yeah, though bearing in mind ive only seen one episode of the cartoon so it doesnt have that much influence other than the fact that there is actually a sort of society there.

the main premisce is that the netherworld was, originally, an empty black void. and it remains a black void, but the ghosts have added buildings. theres no natural resources there though, so everything consists of materials brought in by ghosts with the rare ability to visit the living world and are quite make-do. a lot of it is small, shanty town type places made of boards and sheet metal. very cluttered, very messy. theres no weather, so roofs are largely optional. a lot of these 'towns' are quite spaced out, with big stretches of possibly sandworm-infested void in between. i kinda want there to be some other afterlife wildlife as well, ill have to brainstorm that.

obviously it would be very easy to get lost in those open spaces, so there's roads. most roads are really just a painted line that serve to both guide the way and help you remember where the ground is. some have wooden boards over all or some of their length, mostly laid end-to-end. only the real fancy roads have boards laid sideways to create more of a path, because that takes a lot of board. since theres no terrain to traverse most roads are as the crow flies, sometimes with sharp sudden bends as the person making them realised they were going the wrong way.

the economy is based off bartering, trade, and monopoly money. not sure what they used before the invention of monopoly, but thats what they do now. the playing pieces are used as coins too, but im yet to decide how much theyre worth. also not sure how they give starting funds to ghosts without affecting the economy, because there is definately not enough structure to have ghosts paying taxes. maybe they just dont give a shit about the state of the economy. maybe the handbook tells you to bring your monopoly set to the afterlife with you. idk.

my original thought was that beetlejuice was based out of some self-storage place, but with this new idea i dont think they have those. so the new idea is that hes got his own kinda home base in the middle of the void, equal distance from a few towns that he trades in. gotta figure out how he gets to all those towns because id like something a bit more interesting than walking, but that will probably end up depending on what animals i put in the netherworld (riding sandworms? skelleton horses? sled hellhounds? who knows)

but anyway yes that is the netherworld as it appears in snake oil. almost like a typical western setting, in a way, but with more forgetting where the ground is and falling through the void. im thinking maybe after meeting skye her and lydia have to go to a few different towns on their quest to get her home, but im still not certain.

166/ MigloJE - Elements 2 (2023) hmm..it's not doing much for me? I think i wouldve been bonkers for this in 2006. does that make it retro? it does have a VERY early 00s bedroom synth vibe. highlights: "Eyes full of sky part 2". "Star Dust" hits right.

"peachy" is just oldschool s3xmit for me to enjoy the dnb "On me" still dnb but man i cant deny this is FRESH for 98. absolutely bonkers you could get a 1MB module of this at the time. "wolkenflug" hmm. a lil too trance for my taste but its getting there "in vestigator" cool! b-side is a bit much (loopy) but i dig the texture "during 8" finally! some big slow breaks! sadly its just ok. "Collapsoid" huh kinda cool lil textures in this groove "AbstractTechnoVibes" anything "aphexy" gets my attention huh. cool textures and cool synthwork. warbles! "into the unknown" holding an intense fight against my distaste for dnb (and esp darkstep) by being good "lesbians on wax 2.0" i love how this is called "ae-esque." it sure is… for 1998, on the 10th of july, three days before LP5. (ok actually LP5 isn't quite as much of a leap as confield was but still.) yes good i like it "AlbertoBalsalm (rmx)" is fascinating. its hard to best the original and this doesn't quite manage but it's neat to hear someone take it on in a tracker. it's at its best when it deviates from (instead of trying to augment) the original. 5!? wild. "little 8bit box ep" beats :)

"More Tea EP" rly good! love those breaks!! "Parannoying" takes dnb timbres and combines them into a weird lazy afternoon tracker thing. the whole ep actually. standout. "Reversions" chilled out hiphop vibes, no twists. hits good.

Sometimes I would like to believe that people lying about trauma or being systems was just an internet thing for attention, but its not. Like there are people who will make up the wildest shit in person and act like its real, and its kind of an issue. A lot of times people who make this shit up for attention are also manipulators and/or compulsive liars. I was like “oh maybe I can make a post about how these people are just looking for attention online” because i forgot my ex existed. Then I remembered my ex existed.

I do NOT support fakeclaiming, especially regarding people over the internet that you do not know. You cannot know someone from shit they post online. Click to read a few examples of shit my abusive ex would make up.

I used to date someone who claimed to be a system and by the time we broke up I found out that most of the “trauma” she claimed to have was completely fabricated. I’m not going to go into the whole thing right now because there is A LOT and I don’t want to get into it right now but traumatic things she lied about include but are not limited to;

having a dead twin sister (sister never existed)

having various allergies (she claimed most alters were deathly allergic to numerous things (most prominently peanut butter, but there were certain alters who could safely consume it without issue) sometimes she would make a big deal about eating something small with peanut butter and commenting how it felt weird, and how it was red/had a rash/was swollen (there would be nothing visually but she was convincing enough that others would believe it) and she would cause just enough drama to get attention, but also try to avoid hospitalization cause she was fine

being a heart cancer survivor (she never had cancer) she also claimed her dead twin died of cancer and gave her her heart. she explained having no scar from a goddamn heart transplant by just saying she used scar cream(no?) and that because they were twins and a perfect match that she didn’t have to take medication for the organ transplant

having a dead daughter (she never had a child) im pretty sure the photos she had on her phone were just a couple stock photo images of some random little girl. they looked like stock photos

being muslim and facing discrimination (she had like one alter that was muslim and also very transphobic so I think it was an excuse to be transphobic) whenever she would say some shit that was really transphobic, she would dismiss it as this alter

being native American and facing cultural erasure (she was white and would just mash up different native American cultural practices she heard of, but a lot more often than the native American thing she did it with claiming to be asian/korean??????) the phrase “i am the whitest asian you’ll ever meet” was basically one of her catchphrases along with “im 60% percent korean” and i know white-passing people exist but also she would describe the rest of her family as asian or even having an accent but the rest of her family was also very white

she also claimed to be a recovering addict (nothing outside of sometimes claiming this indicated this, and she would mock actual recovering addicts)

lied about having miscarriages

would make numerous claims about being a victim of sexual assault and like extreme violence (even if this was true, which it probably wasn’t due to how contradictory the stories would get, its hard to believe she went through this especially after finding out most of the other things she said were completely made up and fake. it was also just really graphic)

People who make shit up for attention can cause harm when done offline. It can be combined with manipulation, and in general, just shows how shitty of a person you are. Do not claim experiences you do not have.
