sorry if this is a dumb question and i understand if you don't want to answer but do you have links to posts explaining why israel isn't an apartheid state? i swear i read posts like that on your blog before but i don't know how to refind them

Israeli Arabs have legal equality with Jews. Same restaurants, same pools, same seats on the bus, same voting rights. I would favorably compare the treatment of Israeli Arabs with that of any minority group in any country on Earth.

The West Bank has a military occupation, with (pretty fast) checkpoints and no right to vote about the government running that military. Military occupations are bad and some of us have been against this particular one for decades. The anti-occupation movement hasn't gotten anywhere, they've just been stuck. Being stuck in a military occupation for X more years doesn't make it apartheid, just like being stuck in a bad marriage for X more years doesn't make you divorced. Meanwhile, the 2020 Abraham Accords showed that multiple Arab states were willing to accept this unchanging status quo and deal with Israel as it is. Those two factors - the stagnant, unchanging nature of the occupation, and the clear loss of interest in the Palestinian cause - combined to have the latest crop of awareness-raising college interns at some shifty NGOs try to force change by abracadabra'ing together a new concept of "apartheid" that exists solely for Israel. And it is working, just like "Christ-killer" and "stabbed Germany in the back" worked.

In 2010, Human Rights Watch published an extremely critical report on Israel's occupation of the West Bank. Dragged them up one wall and down the other. Yet there was no accusation of "apartheid" there. In the report, page 33, they cited a lawsuit by the Association for Civil Rights in Israel that had said it was apartheid for the West Bank military occupation authorities to ban Palestinians from driving on Highway 443 after repeated firebombings / shootings against Israelis. The Israeli High Court ruled that it was inappropriate to ban Palestinians from the road, and it re-established their equal driving access - they have had it ever since. The court also said that the accusation of apartheid behind that now-ended ban was dishonest, because the security concerns were not based on race; there were and are no "Jewish-only" roads anywhere, even when WB Palestinians were denied road access, Israeli Arabs could and did drive there. The HRW 2010 report included a long summary of that finding, without challenge. As bad as they saw Israel, they agreed it wasn't apartheid.

Then in 2020 came the Abraham Accords, so while nothing at all had changed in the administration of the West Bank, in 2021 HRW said it actually was apartheid. It really is that simple. The most famous legal convention banning apartheid specifies that it is race-based. HRW instead went with a different legal convention on apartheid, one that says it could be based on national origin if it involves discrimination among citizens of the same country.... and then they up and added their own twist to that, saying they will consider it apartheid if there is discrimination based on national origin AMONG PEOPLE WHO AREN'T CITIZENS OF THE SAME COUNTRY. In a very real sense, HRW declared Mexico is an apartheid state because Americans can't vote in its elections.

In 2022, Amnesty International followed with their own report, saying that not only was the military occupation now "apartheid," but that Israel itself had been an apartheid state ever since it was established in 1948. This moral perversion had the effect of saying Israel literally INVENTED apartheid since in May 1948 it didn't even exist in South Africa yet. It also said that Amnesty International - founded 1961 - had been looking at an apartheid the whole time but never recognized it. To make things even more dishonest, Amnesty said they "are not claiming Israeli conditions are analogous to South Africa," meaning anything that shows how Israel is different from South Africa doesn't count. They're using the South African word for the South African policy but it's actually not like South Africa at all so be quiet, neener neener no backsies.

I shouldn't have to take that seriously. Neither should anyone. Palestinians and their advocates should be ashamed to have to lean on such an obvious bad-faith lie.

Nelson Mandela, who died in 2013, never once accused Israel of apartheid, and instead repeatedly said he supported Zionism and a 2-state solution. Mandela's lawyer, still alive, says the accusation is a lie. Mansour Abbas, leader of the Arab Islamist party that joined Israel's governing coalition in 2021, says the accusation is a lie. And if people want to bandy around NGO business cards, here is the International Committee of the Red Cross in 2017:

“The Red Cross was very familiar with the regime that prevailed in South Africa during the apartheid period, and we are responding to all those who raise their claim of apartheid against Israel: No, there is no apartheid here, no regime of superiority of race, of denial of basic human rights to a group of people because of their alleged racial inferiority. There is a bloody national conflict, whose most prominent and tragic characteristic is its continuation over the years, decades-long, and there is a state of occupation. Not apartheid.”

There's a lot more you can see about the shifty terminology, unreliable sourcing, and longstanding culture of antisemitism and racism within Amnesty International. People who can cite chapter and verse of why the Salvation Army, Autism Speaks, Chik-Fil-A and Harry Potter are problematic should not be shocked.

So, someone asked for a tutorial of this animation so, why not?

I need to say first that I'm not a profesional animator, I'm a selftaught artist and I'm terrible at teaching/making tutorials so maybe this isn't the best example of how to animate.

Having said that, this was my process:

I first drew the important key frames, in other words, where I wanted point A and point B to be. No details, only body and head (I have no save of the original frames but basically no bells or ribons nor ruffles)

Then I needed a frame in betwen to conect them

I added a bounce effect duplicating the images, squeezing and stretching it a little (I have no save of this part but I have a video on my phone from january of last year, sorry it looks a little bad, I had to crop it)

I slowed it down so you can see the bounce

It's just like 3 frames each bounce

Now, to animate all the frames I started from A to inbetween 1,

then later to point B and closed the loop with inbetween 2.

To make this easier I drew a "rute" on the background

It looked something like this

and with the animation

It's a process of trial and error. While you are drawing the frame you don't actually know if it's the correct pose (unless you are some kind of god), so you have to draw the inbetweens, check how it looks in movement, spot where it lack/exceeds frames or where it needs more space between frames... untile it's finished and you get something like this.

As you can see only 8/46 frames aren't drawn. These 8 frames are little "stops" for the images so the character is still.

Some of these frames has the character still but something else is moving, like Moons hat.

Finally, I got to animate the details: sunrays, hat, bells, etc. Each of these objets has its own physics and this part enters more in how I belive the physics would behave like having in mind the mass of the objet and the inertia.

Example:

The hat has a lot of inertia because fast movement so: it moves faster and it takes time to stop.

The ribons and ruffles has less inertia because even though it is still fast is a slower movement so: it moves fast BUT stops fast.

Note to add: the faster and objet moves the less frames it needs to be drawn, sometimes it may need to draw the character/object deformed to look right. The slower it moves the more frames you'll have to draw and the more precision you'll need to make it look right.

Another note to add: this is animated at 24fps, this means every 1 second has 24 images. Most cartoons and movies are animated at 24-25 fps, this not only aplies to 2d animation but also 3d and stopmotion.

Fun fact: the human eye perceives between 30-60 fps, however animating at 30 fps or more can give an unnatural feeling to the animation.

Seven Plus One Happy Haunts (An 800 Followers Thank You)

"NRC is having a culture festival?" You blurt out, immediately drawing the attention of everyone in your class. Normally this interruption would be met with a swift smack, but the thought doesn't even flicker across Crewel's mind much to the envy of your classmates. Instead, something similar to a stress headache seems to work it's way across his face as he takes a brief pause to breathe.

"I take it the Headmage has neglected to inform you of this?" He says it like a question, but really it sounds more like he is begging you to prove him wrong. "He was supposed to ask your permission."

"Permission for what?!" You try not to sound too panicked but that's difficult when Crewel's normal sternness re-emerges to silence Ace and Deuce's whispers.

"Sit!" He cracks his crop and returns to the black board. "And Yuu, once classes are done for the day, meet me back here. It will be much easier for me to explain things to you and Grim than sending you on a wild crow chase." Oh you don't like the sound of that at all. ~~~~ By the time classes are over, you are drooping under the weight of an entire school's worth of whispers and surprised you remember your way back to your Homeroom.

"Where's Grim?" Crewel asks, though he doesn't sound terribly worried. So it's bad news bad news.

"He decided to ditch me for Ace and Deuce and I didn't have the energy to chase him down, sorry." Your book bag drops with just as dramatic a thunk as you do.

"Let me make you a coffee, you are going to need some." Crewel sighs. "As you might be aware, culture festivals tend to involve things like booths and side show games."

"Typically they're run by the classes or clubs, right?" You aren't really liking where this is going.

"In anime and at normal schools yes. And if this had been any other year that would be the case for us too but someone-" the same tension headache from this morning reappears, "got the bright idea to suggest that we form groups by putting the entire student body into an ai generator of some sort to encourage team work or something like that."

"Oh." No wonder Crewel can't seem to tell the difference between the containers where he keeps the instant coffee packets and the wet wipes. "Are you ok? Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Very sweet of you to offer pup." He lets you take over the coffee and smiles gratefully when he sees you move to make him a tea. "But back to how this effects you, one of those groups got the bright idea to run a Haunted House, and the Headmage suggested they use Ramshackle for 'authenticity's sake' and generously offered them your assistance as well."

"Compared to some of the other things he's done I guess it could be worse?" Not that you are thrilled, your tone makes that clear. "I mean it's a haunted house, it could be fun. What is it you want me to help out with anyway?"

"That's what they've been arguing over." Crewel looks and sounds very, very tired as you finally notice the growing chatter of voices just outside the classroom door that is finally making an entrance alongside a very familiar face.

"I'm telling you, it makes the most sense for Yuu to help me!"

This is a long ask sorry. Recently I saw screenshots of some transmascs (usernames were understandably cropped out) saying that transandrophobia stems from “sex, which is immutable” and these screenshots were being held up as a reason why the idea of transandrophobia was stupid (and if this is the only encounter someone has had with the conversation around transandrophobia I don’t necessarily blame them because that is stupid)

I think in response to that post going around, I’ve also seen a couple people (who were transmasc themselves) accusing people that believe in transandrophobia of like, perpetuating radfem rhetoric and claiming “femaleness when it’s convenient, to victimize themselves”.

I was wondering if you had any thoughts or insight on navigating conversation about transandrophobia or antitrans masculinity when there is the occasional bio essentialist shithead, and that kind of person seems to be the most associated with the theory?

Okay so - I just want to preface this and say this is genuinely just my own personal course of action informed by a lot of my experiences having been on Tumblr for over a decade. I honestly don't know how helpful it is for others, but it's ultimately how I personally do it, so I'll share.

My go to response for the kind of people who seem to be self victimizing or who seem to be bio essentialist shitheads - and my go to response to the people who use that to say they're perpetuating radfem rhetoric by self victimizing - is honestly usually to just scroll past, sometimes block depending personal comfort, and move on.

Sometimes I do engage despite my better judgment and usually? I feel like shit afterwards because it ended up being pointless arguing. Most times I'll draft something that responds to concepts being brought up by those people and make my own post later or I'll reblog a relevant post that I've already made, but I do really try not to directly engage and I would encourage others to do the same.

Instead, I try to contribute in the ways I'm personally good at like via academia/original posts/answering asks. I feel very confident in my own opinions and my ability to back them up in response to accusations of Radfem ideals and self victimization because I know myself and I know my understanding of both Radical Feminism and Intersectional, Black, Decolonialist Feminism. I pretty constantly try to do a lot of self examination, but ultimately I'm confident in my core ethics and morals and I try to reflect that out to others in a human way. That carries a lot of weight for me personally.

That's all really important to me because this is ultimately still Tumblr and there's a lot of people in a lot of pain here. It's the piss on the poor hellscape webed site full of extremely traumatized people that have been at each other's throats over the worst faith readings of every opinion possible for longer than some users have even been alive.

When you've been here and in discourse spaces specifically for awhile - it becomes pretty obvious when a hurt person is lashing out and not actually engaging with an idea in a way that isn't focused on their own pain. I can do what I can, but those conversations specifically tend to devolve into nothing good real fast. So? It's just genuinely not something I try to dedicate a lot of time to engaging directly with. Especially because it gets really exhausting and honestly bad for my own mental health at certain points.

Hopefully that's helpful in some way? I'm genuinely not really sure if it is, but I hope so.

I kept a running commentary of what was happening, so here is a very messy breakdown of QSMP's 11/11/23 stream!

cucurucho showed up in his house(?). it's storming outside, full lightning and thunder. this biome is ODD, it's all blue with the glowy trees.

he heads outside, farms some crops and checks the mailbox (it's empty) before going back inside.

he put the crops into his cupboards and sat at his tv before proceeding to watch slime's "juanaflippa" song

the duck cut his happy fun times short, playing the first cutscene from purgatory day one. cucurucho kept "no"ing it, and eventually turned it off.

his doorbell rang, and he opened it to see a worker with glasses standing outside (we've seen him before with polispol!)

the worker gave him a note: "census bureau, sorry for interrupting you at your residency. there is a problem at the spawn. it seems there is a toxic matter and we don't know how it originated." as well as three pictures of the black concrete-covered spawn

cucurucho went to a small office in his house and pressed a red button named "panic button." the following message played: "this is an emergency meeting. all workers are required to assist until the situation is resolved. the infection is spreading. there is no identifiable source of it yet." he then said "i don't know why."

he started a report: "226+8 a.r. REPORT: Bad news [has] arrived. A meeting needs to be arranged. It has been raining for days."

another cutscene: "urgent! quesadilla island cleanup attempts have failed. the substance is spreading at an alarming rate and has reached federation offices. and emergency meeting must be held."

dialog cutscene: CUCURUCHO: "WA02, report for an urgent meeting at the office. CUCURUCHO: "..." CUCURUCHO: "WB012, report for an urgent meeting at the office. Sanitary masks are mandatory." WB012: "Understood, sir!"

there's black concrete all over the entire main federation offices. it's everywhere. there are workers inside trying to clean it up. cucurucho checks all the offices before taking some of the workers through a warp plate to the auditorium where the A0 event was (where there is also concrete, but not as much).

"this is an emergency meeting. all workers are required to assist until the situation is resolved. the infection is spreading. there is no identifiable source of it yet." (repeated message from earlier)

one worker's report: “As you know the residents have been sent off to egg island. We have reason to believe a third party has intervened and we cannot contact anyone anymore. It’s not safe for the residents. We need to get them back.”

another report: “Our friend and co-worker WA02 is missing [for] weeks now. We still don’t know what happened to them.”

another report: “We still haven’t figured out who murdered all of our colleagues and our lead detective is not here.” (this worker—agent 18—was very upset.)

another report: “the northeast office and the team reported a paper about a stray signal sent by one of their captive subjects, a binary entity, we are in need of signal blocking equipment as soon as possible.” (the second page involved this worker's evil plot to get everyone to drink apple juice.)

another report: "THE COFFEE MACHINE BROKE AND I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE PLEASE BRING THE COFFEE MACHINE BACK I AM COPING WITH TEA PLEASE T E A"

cutscene: “The quantity of issues is unacceptable. All workers will be tasked with handling the infection unless told otherwise. Follow me.”

the workers and cucurucho returned to the train station, which did look a little bit better than yesterday. he sent one of the workers off in a boat from near foolish's dragon, saying "follow protocol. return the residents to quesadilla island." (o7 worker)

he ordered one of the workers to work on the train station before heading to the president's office and leaving a message for forever: "MR PRESIDENT, PLEASE MESSAGE ME ONCE YOU['VE] RETURNED. IT IS URGENT. :)"

he then added to his report: "It is everywhere. There are many more issues that have been reported. We need to check on: the code entity we kidnapped, what happened to WA02, someone has been sent to egg island, apparently the coffee machine broke as well…"

the adoption center has been practically destroyed—blocks are missing like explosive damage and there's concrete everywhere. there's concrete all over the wall. he ordered one of the workers to work on the adoption center.

cucurucho went back to the main offices and wrote a new book: "PLEASE CHECK ON THE STATU[E]S OF THE SUBSTANCE AND REPORT BACK TO ME ASAP TOMORROW!" he then ordered a worker to clean up the offices. (he may have given this book to this worker; i missed that part.)

he then added to his report: "All workers have been assigned to their area. we can only hope that the rain will stop and the work will be done before the residents return"

he then returned to his house and went down a secret elevator into a room lined with rows of barrels. he named his report "226+8 a.r." and put it in it's proper place by date before returning to his office and pressing the panic button again: “The shadow virus has spread to a dangerous level. Under our advisors recommendation, the federation will retrieve the stranded islanders, thus suspending protocol AB.”

"I hope you enjoy the island." the stream ended with no fanfare.

Absolutely I will talk about The Best Laid Plans with anyone who will listen! Thank you so much! Let's get the bad news out of the way: I kept my writing on an external hard drive that crashed. Recovery has been... partial. I've got folders containing no files, which I'm trying to get resolved. Unfortunately this includes the 50-75% completed next chapter for BLP... 😑 If it's a fully lost cause I will admit defeat and start rewriting. BUT let's chat about some of the other bits!

This fic is the first anything I started writing in about seven years. It's very close to my heart and I'm determined to see it through.

It was originally going to be a one shot. LOL. This is because sometimes people lie (to themselves...)

There is a chapter coming up that I keep referring to in my own head as "the backwards chapter" because it keeps jumping between past and present.

I can't believe I've got them so many chapters in without them even kissing. Oblivious!Bojan and FocusedonESC!Jere, my beloveds.

My favourite Bojere moment so far in the fic was the hug in London as I feel it's the first time they connected away from everyone else and on a more personal level. I thought it would be a cute idea and ran with it.

One thing I noticed is how much more comfortable I became with writing the JO guys as time went on, because the band shenanigans started to emerge. The glittery airport sign and the "I'm not dead, you assholes" parts were two of my favourite moments to write.

I can also pinpoint exactly where I started shifting around who hangs out more with who in the band, and I sort of assume that's obvious to everyone.

I have some vaguely drafted parallel scenes from Jere's perspective for reference. For the record, he's getting massive side eye from his delegation, especially Mikke.

I don't think it will surprise anyone to learn that Gregor is my least favourite to write, but I've actually written and rewritten several parts of his dialogue to try to make it seem "reasonable", if that makes sense? He has a job to do and is laser focused on that, but... well. He's Gregor, and he's a dick about it.

I'm well aware of how Voyager keep cropping up in the background and I'm not sorry. (I'm also not done, they're in the next chapter too haha.)

Favourite thing about them?

I love his sincere desire to change the world for the better, as well as his love of others and hope for a better future. Of course, it's not just hope but also a DRIVE to make the world better. He just seems like such a sweet, hardworking dude, and if he was real I would love to know him.

Least favourite thing about them?

The fact that we don't get to see more of him. TBF, he died well before the start of Naruto, so we only see him through memories (and that one weird Infinite Tsukuyomi filler story, but I digress.) I want to see how he'd interact with MORE canon characters, I want to see MORE of the original Akatsuki, and I want to know MORE about the Hidden Rain Village.

I'd love a spin-off miniseries about the Hidden Rain Village.

Favourite line?

I'm not always the best at memorizing lines, but I'll go with this one, where he sets out to go on a mission to scout out an area.

Sadly, there are only a few characters we see him interact with in canon, and many of them are minor.

In a happier timeline where nothing bad happened and the Hidden Leaf was magically not corrupt at all, I could see him being friends with Naruto.

OTP?

Nagato/Yahiko/Konan. They have a deep bond, forged through their collective efforts to endure many hardships. To me, it's as if they are destined to be together and to always develop a deep, intimate care and affection for each other. Even if they were to reincarnate, they'd find each other once more.

My man's underrated. I feel like most people tend to either forget about him or just think of him as the guy that became the Deva Path. I mean... I get why, but I wish he was more popular. How can you not love him?

I am very neutral on him, so my apologies for some lame-ass answers. Also, i felt like I spent a lot of time writing my opinions on Yahiko.

Favourite thing about them?

His abilities were neat, as one of the few who could use Wood Style. i also respect how he tried his best to keep Team 7 in check and (later on) help rebuild the Hidden Leaf after Pain destroyed it.

Least favourite thing about them?

The fact that he was sidelined for most of the War Arc, serving little use outside of buffing up Zetsus. IDK, that was kind of disappointing.

Oh, I also feel weird about the fact that he's supposed to watch Orochimaru in Boruto. Like, if we treat the anime backstory as canon, dude should be traumatized by Orochimaru.

Favourite line?

That one where he threatens to use "draconic measures" on Team 7 when they keep arguing and fighting each other, I guess.

Kakashi once they are both adults. Sai after he is free from Dan's control, since they could relate to each other a lot (especially if you treat his anime backstory as canon.)

First thing

(warning:all caps) HARUKA?????? LIKE THE MOMENT SHE STARTED SINGING MY JAWS DROPPED. SHE SOUNDED GORJEOUS. I REPEATED TIMESTAMP 1:28 SO MANY TIMES I HAD LITERALLY ASCENDED. RUI TOO AT 0:33 THAT WAS AMAZING. AKITO'S GROWL WAS SO GOOD. AND THE ART IS SO PRETTY THE LIGHTING THE OUTFITS THE VOCALS THE HARUKA (I really like haruka idk if you can tell). THIS WHOLE COVER HAD ME STARING AT MY SCREEN IN SHOCK. 17382947193728/10

Oughh this song...this might be my NayutalieP bias showing by this was ADORABLE. The little chibis were amazing. They really just added some of the best characters and had them sing one of the best songs in the game. The one thing that stuck out the most to me was the MIXING OMG. They all blended so well and Emu/Mizuki's vocals had me ascended. Those little symbols that represented each character was so cute (count pearl and Kohane...). I know a lot of people wasn't a big fan of the devil manners and alien alien covers but honestly their definitely my top 3.

Honestly at first I had kinda mixed feelings about this. But then I listened to it and omg. Yes. The mv is my favorite, besides maybe the Alien Alien one. I never knew I needed Toyamino in my life before this. Honestly I was never a big fan of booo, especially the MMJ cover (I'm sorry 😔) but this cover is just. Yes. Minori's chibi was so cute and THE OUTFITS??? Yeah definitely a fav.

Man, I have so many feelings about this. I love Setsuna Trip so I can't really bring myself to really hate it. Shiho absolutely ate and left no crumbs. Airi slayed just as hard in this as in the original minoairi cover. I love how everyone yells "Hah? More guitar!" I saw that some people really disliked Kanade in this but I don't think she sounded too bad! Her voice was sometimes drowned out by the music and the other voices sometimes though...but she really harmonized well with Airi and Shiho. The art and MV is so bright and flashy it makes me feel like I'm at a disco party. Kinda reminded me of an anime opening lol. Overall I think this cover was a bop

Honestly I have no really strong feelings about this. I mean Honami sounded so angelic in this and everyone harmonized so well. This was one of the rare times where the Vocaloid actually mixed really well with the others. The MV is definitely my favorite (besides maybe Devil's Manners). The art is so pretty (Mafuyu my beloved) and the purple lighting??? Yeah I'll take this. No strong opinions I just think it's really pretty. Would sleep to this.

They really just took my favorite characters and Vocaloid and made them sing one of my favorite songs. This entire cover was targeted to me. The strong vocals really made the chorus Pop Out. They all sounded so pretty please SEGA release a full version it would be a crime to not. Also the mv made all my girls look GORGEOUS. I love how dynamic(?) it is (lots of motion, idk what's the word for that). Amazing. My skin is clear. My crops are watered. My grades are up. I have 20/20 vision. The sun is shining. And it's all thanks to this cover.

Band name: How did they and the others come up with the band name? Has the name changed since it was founded?

Seven figured the best way to lure Ori into a band and past their insecurities is to make it gym related. Like finding an abandoned cat under a dumpster. Pspspsp.

Half joking. A theme was noticed lol in all of Ori's suggestions. And they were cool with rolling with it. He was very excited when they did. Their original name was 'Leg Days'.

Training: How did they learn to sing? Have they had any formal training? How do they continue to maintain and develop their singing voice?

Ori's parents are trash. And he spent a lot of time growing up with his grandparents. They both can sing very well. His grandmother did choir well into college but his grandfather is completely untrained (or as far as Ori knows). His nana taught him some stuff. And when she died, a way of bonding with his gruff grandfather was aimlessly practicing those stuff while they worked on projects.

I'm sure Orion has sent Ori more formal videos, and Ori sometimes watches them to please Orion. But he's not that into them. His nana's ways are tried and true.

Performance: What are they thinking and feeling while they’re performing? How do they act on stage?

What are they thinking? 'Don't throw up. Don't throw up. Don't throw up.' I guess it could be said that Ori still has a flavor of stage fright. But he loves sharing the moment with his friends -- so he focuses on that.

He burns off the nerves by being a clown. Not literally. He's definitely jumping up and down, engaging his fellow bandmates, feeding off the crowd and doing his best to return the appreciation that they give out. Though, he WOULD like to be a clown on stage for real (one day. ONE DAY! He's gonna juggle. And not even Orion will stop him. Well, maybe.)

Tattoo: Did they keep the tattoo with Seven’s initials? Why/why not? What was that decision/execution process like? (Bonus: What do they think of Seven keeping their tattoo?)

It was quite simple. Ori is quite simple. There was no deep decisioning or weighing. Seven is his best friend and she will always be his best friend. He will always love her, that's it. (That's a touch more complicated -- they're not sure. They're hopeful, but given their luck in life and how Seven has been acting, maybe Seven forgot to take it off [ha, Seven?] Or wants to hurt them.)

Development: Ori is an oc I created for an RP that I was in but I didn't get to play (if you wanna creep his app and og pinboard <3). I was a kick, and sorta still am, to play a character type/personality I haven't before/in a while. Gymbro who is "simple"/straightforward and is treated as a failure/sees himself as one yet who is still unrelentingly kind cropped up. I was also really inspired by the AJR song 100 Bad Days, that I had been playing on loop back then.

Since I've never played Ori before, he's still a work in project. One thing I'm looking forward in developing is how honest yet stalwart he is. He's a mess but he's a lot more steady than he gives himself credit -- or maybe responsible is the better word. It really cropped up in that moment he gestured for Gigi (HIS HERO!!!) to face forward while annoucements were being. It will be interesting to see that grow and be pushed against when faced with characters like Gigi, Blake, and Seven's Rage (which, yes is it's own character)

This is an open-ended mission though and I'm not doing it all in one year or some such insanity.

Bygone Days: O'tkan Kunlar by Abdullah Qodiriy. An Uzbek author telling a love story and the various obstacles the main characters have to deal with, giving a fantastic account of Uzbek culture in the 19th century.

Great Expectations by Charles Dickens (through Dickens Daily). Guys I'm sorry I hate Charles Dickens and reading it in small bits and pieces is the only way I'll ever finish one of his books. rip

Frankenstein by Mary Shelly (through Frankstein Weekly). It just started yesterday!!! Sign upppp for some Gothic Goodness!!

Next books to read are Typee by Herman Melville (I loved Moby Dick so much I need more Melville in my life) and The Home and the World by Rabindranath Tagore (Nobel prize and pretty cover, I am too easy).

i hope you know that puella is usually very deceptive in the way they word things or even just, purposefully cropping posts and including some tags but not all (that give context) or will post a singular screenshot of a post that is out of context if you just scrolled you could see originally it wasn't anything bad just an unfortunately worded vent that clearly condemns whatever puella condemns too.

puella didn't listen about children killing animals, despite it being actually proven fucking wrong (google it if you fucking have to) but i knew that'll happen, puella only ever doubles down on what they state. it was extremely fucking upsetting though to see them double down on calling abused children future serial killers but.. alas i knew they wouldn't change stance from past interactions.

i don't think i'm personally some saint but i also don't see the benefit in calling these types of people out, which is where puella and i clash. also puella has lied about me being a year older and my boyfriend being a year younger, which i don't believe was a mistake, i have no proof it was intentional to slander me, but all my accounts either said 20 (i was 20 at the time) or just 'adult', so i have no idea why they lied. especially concerning that i was called weird (alluded to me being a pedophile) but no one actually cared for the person they were calling my victim? it makes me feel really sick they twisted my relationship into something sinister and at the same time was mad at my boyfriend still after labelling him my victim.

i'm not saying puella is intentonally doing this but it's an alarming pattern and i make habit of blocking them and all they're mutuals to avoid them. puella has been doing this shit for years i don't see them changing. before they post another callout i'd love to see them address them lying, their antisemitism towards me and ableism in regards to introjects and child abuse victims. them going through abuse doesn't negate them being ableist. it's unfair puella believes they don't need to ever rethink what they believe because they went through trauma too but then hold others to the standard of not being allowed to want to retraumatise themselves after being abused and somehow thats callout worthy rather than alarming behaviour that this person need support rather than vilification that further pushes them towards unhealthy coping mechanisms.

i don't think wanting to retraumatise yourself is good, but it's not a fucking moral failure. no one is going to be hurt from that other than the person themselves.

I've got a news flash for you guys that think you deserve photo credits for editing(as in color altering or sharpening) photos you didn't actually take:

That's not how it works!

I work for a real media outlet and when we get photo submissions in or we use photos posted publicly, and then we take those photos and edit them, we DO NOT claim any credit on that photo at all. The credit still goes to the original source. We lighten all the photos we get in because they automatically always print a bit darker and we also have to sharpen them up or enhance the quality sometimes and if my ass claimed credit for all the photos I did that to, I'd have been fired a long time ago. In fact, my company fired a girl just last year for crediting herself on photos she didn't actually take. And it doesn't matter the reason you're crediting yourself, you just aren't supposed to credit anyone but the person who actually held the camera and took the damn photo.

I just wanted to say this because of all the times I've been bitched at and seen others bitched at for not crediting edits. So, when I post a PICTURE of Aidan, you don't have to credit me.

If you do choose to credit someone for an edit, I would put [Edit by so-and-so] and honestly you should only do that if you are also crediting the original source, because if I took a photo and seen people crediting the editor and not me all the time, I'd feel pretty pissed.

All I ask for credit on are my gifs, and I ask that you be sure it says "gifs by" because I don't claim any ownership of the actual films, series, or interviews I may gif. And if I make a wallpaper for desktop or phone, and in those cases only if I've added some artistic flare to it. Cropping a picture to android screen size does not make me an artist.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, give credit where credit is due.

Oh, and don't get me started on the people who feel they deserve credit just for FINDING a picture online. I've seen plenty of you get attacked by people getting angry because you didn't credit them for FINDING a picture that they DIDN'T take on the internet. STOP APOLOGIZING to those people! If you wanna give a shoutout and say "Thanks to so-and-so for finding this gem" or whatever, they should be thanking YOU! I understand some things take some digging to find, and showing appreciation for the person doing that is fine, but when they act like you are obligated to credit them or that they are OWED a credit or your thanks, that is so lame. I'm sorry your life is so bad that getting credit for finding pictures of celebrities is what makes or breaks you. Really, I am.

Anyway, I just needed to get that off my chest because it drives me nuts. And the person who comments on this and gets bent, well, now everyone will know that you are one of those people who expects credits for edits or for finding pictures that you didn't take.

The next time you go to post a picture, I want you to stop and pretend it's a written work instead. And ask yourself, if I edited someone's story, would I credit myself instead of them? No. The answer is no. You wouldn't. You would credit yourself as an editor at most and then most certainly, credit the author as the author.

Photos should be treated no differently. If you credit yourself as an editor, only do so if you can also credit the photographer.

1000% no questions asked, canon Steve and Bucky are going as each other. Steve will be a little traumatized when Bucky somehow comes up with his Actual athentic WS mask and puts it on him but he gets over it the second it makes Bucky laugh rather than have a panic attack or cry or something horrible like that and just says he looks dumb and squished with it on instead. And Bucky, Bucky will be laughing a lot that night because he either a) stole the original stage Captain America uniform from the exhibit at the Smithsonian or b) found a criminally good dupe for it somewhere and Steve doesn't actually know which. Idea b is more promising though because he's not quite sure Bucky would fit into that costume with how Big he is now. Serumed up and a bit chunkier than he was even in Romania. Bucky's laughter gets even better worse when Sam sees them and clicks his tongue, looking at the silver, body safe paint on Steve's exposed arm. Turning tail only to come back with two rolls of aluminum foil and wordlessly begin wrapping him up.

Shrunkyclunks... oh shrunkyclunks, Steve's little baby could bat his eyelashes at Steve or sass him a little and Steve will Bend. To. His. Every. Whim. So, Steve ends up in a somewhat slutty cut, horrible version of his Cap suit while Bucky hangs- literally hangs, because Steve's that strong, off of his arm in one of the chorus girls outfits. Complete with pumps, stockings, and panties. They don't make it to the private party at Stark Tower.

I'm including alpha Bucky and omega Steve because even though I don't write them often enough to have a particular world for them... I CANNOT get the idea of big, pretty omega Steve in a cheerleading costume out of my head. Like. Short but high waisted skirt. Crop top. Maybe a bow in his hair, no wig though, just a pretty little bow. Color high on his cheeks all night as he giggles and blushes his way through every interaction. Any time they sit down Bucky, dressed as a star quarterback, pulls the blonde to sit in his lap or sit with his legs over his lap.

Can you tell I have a bit of a fixation with that? ^ CE in pink, in drag... I just- I'm damned with the bisexuality and he too pretty.

I think Chris and Seb would go as something silly that ends up being romantic and real simply because you can really tell they actually, genuinely love it. They genuinely are in love. They both sang that song from Grease in different interviews so... maybe there's something there? (Idk what exactly though, it's been a long time since I've seen the movie haha.) Some characters from a cherished movie, play, or other form of performing media because they do fucking Love their jobs. Or, or- if they're at a private, friends party where the group is tight knit and they can know for sure that no one will take pictures or say anything... they'd go as Steve and Bucky. Particularly WW2 Steve and Bucky, Chris going as far as to actually shave for the event because their first time meeting and interacting and falling in love will always have a special place in their hearts. And because not shaving and just breaking out the last Cap suit that was Chris' wrap gift felt too easy- even if nomad Steve has a special place in his heart.
