The vibe really deteriorated as the day went on, and now I'm sitting in bed, awake, feeling like garbage

#it was an okay weekend but i was jittery and numb for most of it #tried to write christmas cards for the first time in 2 years. cried while doing so and then had to lie down after i did 5 #i got frustrated with the story i'm writing and considered dropping it or deleting the whole thing #spent friday alone pretty much all day which normally i'm fine with but for whatever reason made the loneliness really hit hard this time #spent all thanksgiving day waiting for a familial confrontation #got asked by my 6 year old nephew how old i was and then he followed up with 'well why arent you married what are you doing' #which i'm pretty sure is something he heard in a conversation someone else was having and he repeated it bc he's 6 fucking years old #which btw i don't hold against him or am mad at him about bc he's an innocent kid #but that made me feel really shitty #spent an hour today panicking about this dog virus #and in between all of that i was self diagnosing myself with mental illnesses #which made me feel awful bc it made gaslight myself in thinking maybe i wanted one? #which is so fucked up to the max and i'm so sorry for even putting that here #but i put this all here bc i could never have this conversation with people irl #they'd get too worried or they'd think i'm overreacting or i need to date or need to do something with myself besides read #i'm so sorry everyone #i'll try to be better #i just had to put this out somewhere #and i didn't put this in a journal bc my last entry sounds so teenagerish out of context i don't even want to look at it #anyway i have to try to sleep i have to go into the office early tomorrow #i'm sorry guys #i really am😔

Based on your twitter post, what are the moral lessons of the books that you think perfect lyctorhood would go against?

i've seen people say that it would contradict discussions about the power imbalance between necro and cav but i honestly disagree! i think that if you take perfect lyctorhood and frame it as what being necromancer and cavalier was before it was perverted by the creation of traditional lyctorhood it actually equalizes the two. i think that two characters can be necro and cav without the power imbalance if its framed as them being in service to each other instead of the cavalier in service to the necromancer, because in perfect lyctorhood they're using each other's souls instead of it being a one-way power exchange

Thinking about it again bc a thing that happened yesterday and the thing I just reblogged but I think my mom especially does not take my phobia of spiders/certain bugs seriously bc I tell her all the time and she's just like 'but it's just a small spider! it won't hurt u' like that truly does not change a single thing and I am aware a lot of them will not hurt me

anyway thinking again about how ayru's relationship with the force is just. deeply spiritual. he obviously holds a lot of the beliefs of your typical sith such as, you know, the force is his weapon to wield to attain more power in the world - the power to break his chains, to set him free.

but unlike your typical sith he also sees himself at the mercy of the force. partly as a natural extension of his visions of the future (and the past); he sees the path already laid out ahead so how could he not, at least a bit, feel he's just along for the ride? and partly as a way to cope with everything that's happened to him.

I think with sidious being such a huge and evil almost godlike figure in his childhood and early adulthood (and even late adulthood too tbh) it's been a comfort for him to feel there's a benevolent and bigger, more sacred godlike force that freed him from his abuser, one who, unlike sidious, does show mercy, if at a price (in ayru's case his legs).

#sorry for this like. huge wall of text. it's 2am and i'm having thoughts. that's my excuse. #he meditates at least daily #it's almost like prayer to him. a way to connect to and listen to the force (and to himself) #he's a very jittery person and really feels the safest when he's surrounded by people he cares for (the bounty hunter sleeping pile :)))) ) #so he relishes in just quietly reaching out and feeling surrounded by the force. to him the force's embrace so to speak #feels a lot like love. it's comforting to him is all.
