Read this before commenting on someone’s weight loss...
Don’t do it.
There is never any valid reason why you would need to call out someone’s weight fluctuation.
This is true in general, and  this is true for people with eating disorders;
A group, however, that often gets left out of this conversation are chronically ill spoonies that may have extended stays at hospitals where you don’t have control over your food; or they may be taking a medication that could literally be life/death... but a side effect can cause weight fluctuations.
There is a reason for or story behind everything. You are not entitled to the details of someone’s personal, medical life, unless they want to share it with you. Even then, you aren’t entitled to everything - only that which they are comfortable disclosing.
TL:DR Live your life, and let others live theirs. Trust me, you can do it, and you will be much happier that way. :) <333

Let’s talk money. The National Disability Institute estimates that having one disabled adult in a household requires 28% more income to sustain the SAME standard of living as a household without disability. 28% more. Let that sink in. The reality is that most households with at least one disabled person (be it an adult or a child) make LESS than similar households without disability. #BVD #MCAS #EDS #POTS #Spoonie #SpoonieLife #SpoonieSupport #ChronicallyIll #Disabled #DisabilityJustice #Inclusion #ADA https://www.instagram.com/p/Crf3c_PO6MR/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Guess who tried to go for a walk in sunny weather? This dumbass. This is before, during, and after. With sunscreen and a hat. I am not sure what to do. I want to go walking without my skin feeling like it's going to melt off. Happy the weather and time is changing. #chronicillnesslife #chronicillness #chronicillnessproblems #lupus #lupuswarrior #spoonielife #spooniesupport #spoonie https://www.instagram.com/p/CkmiobFry3R/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🙏🏼 PLEASE READ THIS: Hi Friends! We need to talk. ➡️ November is #crpsawarenessmonth so it's a chance for me to tell the World about this quite unknown but extremely painful disease. 🎗Most of you know that I am sick but I am not the only one in my family: my daughter suffers from CRPS also called Algodystrophy or #sudecksyndrome The letters CRPS stand for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. ➡️ It is a rare and very painful disease that creates to a gradual muscle wasting, bone loss and local osteoporosis. It also causes severe burning pain or a very cold sensation due to pressure soreness and circulation disorders. It is SO Painful that it can leads to depression and even su!c!de 😥 ➡️ My daughter has CRPS since 2018 and she hardly can walk or stand for more than 5 minutes. Because it's a very unknown disease there's no treatment and I often heard doctors calling it somatic just like they did for Fibromyalgia or others invisible pains. But it is visible though!!! My daughter's foot is generally bright red & swollen. And just right now, she is hospitalized because it was too much for her. 🙏🏼Please Guys, help me and other people living with Algodystrophy by sharing this or posting an orange ribbon for #crpsmonth ❤And Thanks for Reading! It's easy to talk about myself but telling you about my child was quite difficult for me since she is alone in her hospital room while I'm feeling guilty leaving her...🕊 ❤ #crpsawareness #sdrc #crpswarrior #sickchild #unknownillness #crps #crpssucks #crpsfighter #invisibleillness #invisiblepain #chronicpain #spooniefamily #chronicdisease #raredisease #rareillness #invisibledisability #childwithdisability #disability #disabilityawareness #inclusion #chronicpaincommunity #chronicpainlife #spoonie #spoonielife #spooniewarrior #spooniesupport #childspoonie https://www.instagram.com/p/ClDAoYDKBPz/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

It’s been a month since my first surgery, but I am back from the hospital now.
Yes, you read that right - I said first surgery - a week after December 16th procedure I was still in a lot of pain and had some weird nerve issue on my whole left leg and it didn’t work right, got some x-rays done and my spine had already slipped as well, so I went under the knife again a week later, and has general med/surg recovery then hospital rehab (learning to walk again, etc.), but am back now. Now I’m starting home health (PT and wound care).
How are YOU all?!
PS I learned so much while in the hospital, I’d love to share all I learned if it can help anyone... what would be best - ask questions and I’ll answer (anon or regular), just ramble, try and get something published online and go from there?

Raise your hand 🙋🏼‍♀️ if you’ve ever fallen into the trap of “busy” culture Multitasking. Optimizing time. Giving 120%. Always pushing the envelope. It took me nearly 30 rotations around the sun to realize that maybe we’ve been bamboozled. Maybe I shouldn’t give that last spoon to them. Maybe I shouldn’t borrow spoons from tomorrow. Maybe the hustle isn’t worth it. Maybe there’s something more to life than accomplishments. Rest. Without rest, is the work even worth it? You can find me taking some time to rest and enjoy the present. I hope to see you here too. #Spoonie #Spoons #SpoonieLife #SpoonieSupport #BVD #MCAS #EDS #POTS #Dysautonomia #NeuroSpicy #OCD #MentalHealthMatters #YouMatter https://www.instagram.com/p/CrZmn9JLFrK/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I have a fear of being seen moving my body or not standing ‘normally’. I have a fear that I will be judged or told I am faking. These fears are especially strong when posting online and especially when I’m using my mobility aids in public. Today I’m facing that fear head on by calling it out and talking about it. Some part of my brain believes that if I’m as disabled as I talk about being, I wouldn’t be able to kick my leg up. But I AM as disabled as I talk about being, and I CAN kick my leg up! This is my disabled experience. It’s not a one size fits all. I am disabled, and I can still move my body. I have limitations, and some days I have less. I am a cane user, and I am not required to “look” like I need it. I’m disabled but I’m still goofy, dorky me and that’s totally allowed 💛 • • • Photo id: two photos of Rose in her backyard wearing a green beanie, glasses, a black sweatshirt, and jeans. Her floral cane is helping her keep balanced in both pictures. In the first, she stands facing the camera with her arm up behind her head. In the second, she has turned to the side and kicked her leg out behind her and she has her tongue out. Not pictured: intense pelvic cramping, and a subluxed hip about an hour after the picture was taken • • • #disabledandproud #disabledblogger #chronicillness #motivation #mentalhealth #disabilityawareness #chronicallyill #disabled #spoonie #spoonielife #spooniesupport #spooniestrong #spooniecommunity #spooniesunite #spoonieblogger #invisibleillness #butyoudontlooksick #chronicpainlife #edsawareness #chronicfatiguesyndrome #lowbackpain #dysautonomia #babewithamobilityaid #potsie #gastroparesisawareness #spoontheory (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/roseleevader/p/CZP5N_svKbb/?utm_medium=tumblr
