Today I have struggled mentally with being in constant pain. I have a dulling disk and doc thinks that is what is causing my leg problems and pain in pelvis and legs. It is excruciating to the point where I can't do anything and I'm crying both in pain and sadness that I am like this. I get upset as I feel I am holding my family back and stopping them being the care free children they should be and my husband has to stop doing things and work to be at home with me. A very close friend came round and we talked about a mobility scooter and I think that is what I am going to get. I have put it off for the last 3 years as felt to young for one. It has taken me this long to get used to the idea that my back and mobility is always going to be a problem. I know it's not a biggy for a lot of people but I was always the sporty one who loved any sport and keeping fit and now I can't even get out of a chair without help! Crazy. I get angry that I am like this and sad as I morn my old me and the mum I was. I'm now having to find a new me and be a different mum to what I used to be, also try and be more resilient as a person but it is so tough. Hey, I’m really struggling right now. Like really really struggling, as in I’m not surviving paycheck to paycheck. I am over $10,000 in debt (not including school loans) and my mom rekindled her relationship with my abusive stepfather, and will be leaving me pretty much homeless in about a month.
I work 40hrs p/week at my regular job, I dogsit when I can, I DoorDash 10+ hours on the weekends, and I am selling most of my belongings (seeing as I won’t have a place to live in a month, might as well make some money.)
If you could help in any way, I would more than appreciate it. And if not I more than understand.
Would really appreciate if y’all could share this around. I am so sorry to even post this, and to ask for this. I feel embarrassed. And I am absolutely beyond terrified.
