Be a man, stand together, there is strength in numbers, build a wall because they don't think we are going to do anything. Well this 👆 is how it's done. If they show up? They won't be expecting this kind of reaction. If they make a move like a monkey give em a gorilla ass whoop'n. 🤔
I haven’t seen anyone talk about this, which makes me think it isn’t being reported, but right now the largest protest for Palestine in the history of the United States is taking place in Washington DC. Thousands turned up to show their solidarity for Palestine and to call for a ceasefire.
Look at this, they won’t be able to ignore us for much longer.
Album Review: Firewind - Stand United (AFM Records)
It’s a Firewind release through and through. Which is never going to be a bad thing, even if it doesn’t quite thrill.
Hard rock power metal titans Firewind are back with their brand-new studio offering ‘Stand United’, out on March 1, 2024, via AFM Records.
When I say that we know exactly what we’re getting with Firewind, that’s not meant in any negative way. It simply means they have honed their craft and continue to deliver recognisable tunes associated with who they are. Stand United isn’t going to set the…
"BREAKING: The UN Security Council has passed a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza for the month of Ramadan. The resolution passed 14-0, with the US abstaining for the first time."

In response, Netanyahu immediately said he was cancelling his trip to the US.
The resolution, put forward by Algeria, Ecuador, Guyana, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, South Korea and Switzerland, calls for an unconditional release of all hostages on all sides.
Russia attempted to put the word “permanent” into the ceasefire language but the US voted against it.

War is cruel, war isn't good and certainly not a solution.
Those who wage war destroy everything that was fought for long and with many victims of various kinds.
Cities, regions, families, relationships - in short - lives are destroyed.
Those who are in power don't care about all that. They only see themselves and their own needs. They send to death young men and women who still had so much ahead of them. And for what? For power! For something that interests no one but them. They spread their sick ideologies, false information and prejudices. Those who are against it are laughed at, harassed and made to look stupid.
Herodotus once said:
"No one in his right mind prefers war to peace; for in the one the sons bury their fathers, in the other the fathers their sons."
Apart from the fact that in modern times only the daughters would have to be added, nothing else about the statement has changed. He who wages war (and perhaps wins it) has lost the peace.
Europe, let us not forget that people are not born to kill but to live. Let's make sure that peace is restored and that those who are against it are banished for all time!

on twitter, a viral thread started where people around the world shared their translations of “If I must die”, the last work of Dr Refaat Alareer also known as "the voice of Gaza". A beloved poet, teacher and life-long activist for Palestine, he was recently assassinated along with members of his extended family by a targeted Israeli air strike. His loss leaves a hole in the heart of palestinians all over the world.
Below the cut, I’ll be posting the translations of his poem, with links to the original posts. Unfortunately, tumblr limits posts to a maximum of 30 images. I will update when I can.
"The Writers Guild has reached a tentative agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers to end its strike after nearly five months. The parties finalized the framework of the deal Sunday when they were able to untangle their stalemate over AI and writing room staffing levels.
“We have reached a tentative agreement on a new 2023 MBA, which is to say an agreement in principle on all deal points, subject to drafting final contract language,” the guild told members this evening in a release, which came just after sunset and the start of the Yom Kippur holiday that many had seen deadline to wrap up deal after five days of long negotiations...
Despite today’s welcome news, it still will take a few days for the strike to be officially over as the WGA West and WGA East proceed with their ratification process. During the WGA’s last strike in 2007-08, a tentative agreement was reached on the 96th day and it wasn’t over until the 100th...
All attention will now turn to ratifying the WGA deal and getting SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP back to the bargaining table to work out a deal to end the actors’ strike, which has now been going on for 70 days.
Details of the WGA’s tentative agreement haven’t been released yet but will be revealed by the guild in advance of the membership ratification votes. Pay raises and streaming residuals have been key issues for the guild, along with AI and writers room staffing levels."
