I’ve been trying to sort folders full of old random stuff (images, photos, graphics, stories -- all kinds of crap) and I came across some Really Old SWEU-related stuff I made. Here’s what each thing is and some notes about them.

INSERT PHILOSOPHICAL SHIT HERE -- 2008

Some friends and I made playlists that were musicals for EU characters and I did one for Jacen and it was just called HEY. This was one of the images for the main post I made about it. There was one for each song.

I wonder if I can find the other ones because I remember in one of them Jacen had a mullet.

This shit was ridiculous and I really miss all the people I did this ridiculous stuff with. ;D

THE SARLACC -- really early... near prequels?

My sister and I were like LET’S PUT CHARACTERS IN THE SARLACC.

I can’t remember what the site was gonna be but we had a ball in MS Paint.

Star Wars: The New Jedi Order book 13

Reread: Dec 2023

This one was pretty interesting. It chronicles Jacen Solo's captivity with the Yuuzhan Bong and his mentoring under an Old Republic Jedi living with the Yuuzhan Vong. There's a lot of Force philosophy between the two Jedi. Mostly which amounts to is the Dark side evil because it's inherently evil or evil because of the way people use it. A cyclical argument as old as time. But this is mostly the bits in the lulls. There's some great action in this one. Jacen once again actually doing cool shit instead of being angsty as all hell. Due to some torturous methods he gains a semi-sense of the Yuuzhan Vong in the Force, and consequently almost completely and single handedly destroys an important Vong project. The other great bit of action is the last stand of Ganner Rhysode. Jacen gives him Anakin's lightsaber (his brother's and not his grandfather's) and he goes out in a blaze of glory so big even the enemy canonized him. Lots of world building into the Yuuzhan Vong and what they are doing too Coruscant, which they call Yuuzhan'tar. This is fun and gives insight into the bad guys.

Mostly I just was happy Jacen wasn't being annoying.

Well less annoying anyways.

Ur goes down smiling because she's saving her kids and, honestly? It was heart wrenching

Bart Allen knew exactly what he was getting into, knew exactly what would happen if he confronted Inertia, and was warned before hand that if he went forward he would die

He did it anyways becuase Heroes Don't Run

Sam Winchester had a long streak of fuck ups, topping it off by accidentally releasing Lucifer and jump starting the Apocalypse

(And yes, the plot was complicated and yes, he totally got fucked over into doing it, I know)

Yes, he comes back eventually, but his soul stays trapped there for years realtime. Considering a month out time is ten years regular Hell time, there's no telling how long Lucifer had him as a plaything

Jason knew he would die if he went on the quest. He knew it was the only way it could end.

He did it anyways, becuase the alternative was having Piper die instead, and that was something Jason completely refused to allow

Shiro Fujimoto has terrible parenting skills and his screw ups are still having reprocussions

Regardless, the man loves his kids and his response to getting possessed by Satan? Overpowers the guy before stabbing himself in the chest to send them both to hell before Satan can kidnap Rin because no one messed with his kid

The first time we meet River Song, she dies. It's cryptic, it's random, it's unexpected, and it's utterly tragic when you get to know her more. She and the Doctor meet out of order, and to him, the day he meets her is the day she dies

She dies for the man she loved and married and he doesn't even have the slightest clue who she is, which is the most tragic part of all

Galuf Halm Baldesion goes down fighting. Exdeath takes out everyone else. Galuf is the last one standing between the Big Bad and the rest of the party

Galuf keeps going no matter what Exdeath does. He goes down battered and broken and his HP is literally in the negatives because his force of will won't let him fall

By the time Exdeath retreats, it's too late for Galuf. Healing spells don't work and he's gone

Future Chris is dead. This is a fact. He does going back in time to prevent the dark future that turned his brother crazy, and he dies in the process. He succeeds, but it costs him everything. Himself, his fiancé, his future...

True, there's another Chris running around, but it's not the same person. Experiences make a person, and that Chris is entirely different

It took a goddamn army to put down Zack Fair

Just to rub it in our faces, Square Enix topped it off with the title to song that plays when he dies
