What Putin is doing in Ukraine is not just reckless, not just a war of choice, not just an invasion in a class of its own for overreach, mendacity, immorality and incompetence, all wrapped in a farrago of lies. What he is doing is evil. He has trumped up any number of shifting justifications — one day it was removing a Nazi regime in power in Kyiv, the next it was preventing NATO expansion, the next it was fending off a Western cultural invasion of Russia — for what ultimately was a personal flight of fancy that now requires his superpower army turning to North Korea for help. It’s like the biggest bank in town having to ask the local pawnshop for a loan. So much for Putin’s bare-chested virility.
[ ... ]
Putin lately has stopped even bothering to justify the war — maybe because even he is too embarrassed to utter aloud the nihilism that his actions scream: If I can’t have Ukraine, I’ll make sure Ukrainians can’t have it, either.
[ … ]
This is as obvious a case of right versus wrong, good versus evil, as you find in international relations since World War II.
[ … ]
Ukraine needs to inflict as much damage on Putin’s army as fast as possible. That means we need to massively and rapidly deliver the weaponry Ukraine needs to break Putin’s lines in the country’s southeast. I’m talking the kitchen sink: F-16s; mine-clearing equipment; more Patriot antimissile systems; MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile Systems, which could strike deep behind Russian lines — whatever the Ukrainians can use effectively and fast.
— New York Times columnist Thomas L. Friedman, just back from a visit to Kyiv. (archived)
If you're in the US, contact your representative in the House and urge him/her to support the proposed $24 billion in aid to Ukraine.

If you have the misfortune to be represented by a dumb-ass MAGA zombie like Matt Gaetz and they say no, write back and ask: "Why do you hate freedom?"
Wars don't end just because people in third countries get bored with them.

"You're gonna forget about Palestine and Ukraine eventually."
I'm not gonna forget the mass slaughters Russia did in Ukraine.
I'm not gonna forget the children who died in Palestine and Ukraine.
I'm not gonna forget the doctors that were slaughtered in Palestine and Ukraine.
I'm not gonna forget the journalists who died trying to document the Palestinian genocide.
I'm not gonna forget the war crimes committed on Palestine and Ukraine.
I'm not gonna forget how people died trying to get aid in Palestine.
I'm not gonna forget the genocides.
I'm not gonna forget the people who refuse to acknowledge the genocides.
I'm not gonna forget the photos and videos.
I'm not gonna forget the Palestinian mother who wouldn't wash her hands because it was all she had left of her children.
I'm not gonna forget my Ukrainian mutuals who died, and how it left me shattered.
I'm not gonna forget my Palestinian friend who died because of Zionists and Islamophobia, and how it left me with Prolonged Grief Condition.
I'm not gonna forget the families that were torn apart.
I'm not gonna forget the children who were orphaned.
I'm not gonna forget the screams and cries.
I'm not gonna forget the friends who died.
I'm not gonna forget how America continues to support the Palestinian genocide.
I'm not gonna forget how certain people refuse to acknowledge Russia's genocide on Ukraine.
I'm not gonna forget the footage of the horrors Russia is doing to Ukraine.
I'm not gonna forget the footage of the horrors Israel is doing to Palestine.
You can claim that I will forget, but images of genocide are burned into a person's brain for the rest of their life. I will always remember.

Once I stopped wheezing, I went looking for what inspired this tweet. Apparently anyone consistently ripping into Biden and telling anyone why he's trash is "voter suppression". Liberals have all lost their goddamn minds.

If you haven't watched the documentary 20 Days in Mariupol, I'll share some of the footage from it with you.
Tumblr media
The doctors continued to work for weeks despite the fact that they lacked medicines, water and electricity.
Tumblr media
Residents of the city had no food, water or electricity, and cooked on fires in the street.
This wasn't shown in the film, but people in Mariupol could eat animals, such as pigeons, because of the lack of food, and also shared 1 glass of water among a large number of people because there was no other water.

LGBTQ+ RIGHTS IN RUSSIA ARE BEING ERODED COMPLETELY
The ministry of justice in Russia has proposed to label "the global organization of LGBT" an extremist group. The court case is set to happen on the 30th of November. If passed, this measure will make LGBTQ+ activism near impossible. Activists could face up to 6 years in prison. Yes, 6 years for advocating for equal rights.
Despite the fact that lawmakers have no legal footing to judge "the global organization of LGBT" as an existing group, considering there is no hierarchy, no leader and no such name is used widely, this will probably be passed. And the lives of queer Russians will be in jeopardy.
I beg of you to spread this post. I know it's exhausting considering everything that's happening in the world. I know the genocide in Palestine is more pressing, I know the war in Ukraine is still happening, but please. We need to be heard. Someway. Somehow.
I'm Russian, I'm queer, I will not let this regime break me. no matter how hard it tries.

Our intelligence has gained the information that Russia is considering committing a terrorist act at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant - a terrorist act with the release of radiation. They have prepared everything for this.
Unfortunately, I already had to remind more than once that radiation knows no national borders, and who it hits is determined only by the direction of the wind.
We are sharing all available information with our partners - everyone in the world. All the evidence. Europe, America, China, Brazil, India, the Arab world, Africa - all countries, absolutely everyone must know this. International organizations. All of them.
There should never be any terrorist attacks on nuclear power plants, anywhere. This time it should not be like with Kakhovka: the world has been warned, therefore, the world can and must act.

16-year-old Roman Biletsky died as a result of russian shelling of the Pozhnia village in Sumy Oblast on October 26.
The grandfather said that when the shots started, the boy ran to save his goats, which were grazing in the garden.
"He loved animals very much, raised ducks and goats. He kept two goats, given to him by local residents.
When the shelling began, he remembered that his goats were tied to the cuttings in the garden. He ran to save them, managed to put them in the stall, remove the chains. Then he tried to enter the house because there were loud shots.
At the moment when he climbed onto the wing, already opened the door to the corridor, a shell flew by. The projectile landed on our haystack in the garden. The explosion did not take place on the ground, but on top of the roof, on the slate. He was struck in the lungs, vomited everything. And in the leg," recalls the grandfather.
Roman's grandfather has 1 group of disabilities, his grandson came to take care of him, helped with the household.
"It was my only hope and support. I hoped very much for Romochka, for my grandson. And my last hope was taken away," he says.

* Two years ago on this date, the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began.
* To this day, mass racial genocide occurs throughout the country.
* Never forget this. Don't forgive anyone who is guilty.
* Never stop talking. Any silence, ignorance and apoliticality is only support for all these actions and will help the main enemy.
Everything will be Ukraine.

This night I woke up from explosions. Sound in a way similar to the thunder. Only you know it's not a thunder. It's a war. This morning I saw in the news this photos. Nearly the center of Dnipro city was bombed by russians. As I said, I receive similar news everyday. And yes. People died during this attack. Children died. I don't understand this politic dances around the Aid for Ukraine. I don't understand this "let's not provoke russia". Imagine you're in one room with a maniac who intend to kill you in the most perverted and painful way. You managed to contact your friends. But instead of helping you out or calling the police they typed you back something like: "Maybe you should talk to the maniac? Try to understand their motives?". Will you try to talk? Or fight for your life instead?

It's been 2 years since the full-scale invasion in Ukraine has started. The war is still going.
Rest in peace to all the heroes that fought bravely for their home country. 💔
r*ussia has been trying to erase our culture for a long time, way before this war has started.
From my own experience, which I have shared before, but will share again. At first, I did not believe the rumors that r*ussia would start a war. I lived quite calmly, planning my future. But my life turned upside down on February 24. The first siren is forever etched in my memory. I woke up in the morning and saw my parents watching the news excitedly. First of all, we were worried about my grandparents, who were in a more dangerous zone. The first months of the war felt like they were in a blur, I couldn't believe what was happening. I hoped that it was just a bad dream. Constant running to the shelter, sleepless nights, sirens, distant explosions - everything hit my mental health hard, without even realizing it at first.
And then I had to leave everything behind. My family and friends are still in Ukraine, and I don't know when I will be able to see them with my own eyes. My plans fell apart, and I am still lost. I do not feel at home.
As sad as it is, I have hope that things will get better. I want to see my real home in peace. Long live Ukraine.

Today has seen very few child actual survivors of bombs from the United States and Israel. I’ve seen more dead children than I can count. I’m so angry that I had to step away for a moment because I feel nothing but fury and rage right now.

Around 50,000 people have been forcibly displaced from Artsakh by the genocidal Azerbaijan by September 27.
An explosion at the gasoline storage in Artsakh capital Stepanakert, officially yet unexplained, killed around 100 people and injured 290 on September 25. Of those 290, 7 have died. We can't expect a real investigation, but this just can't be a coincidence.
On September 27, Azerbaijan cut the internet connection of Artsakh for 2 hours.
Azerbaijan and Russia are making life in Artsakh absolute hell to drive Armenians out of Artsakh. This is genocide.
I don't want to end the post on that note. I see so much support among my people in this hell. Finding places for the displaced to stay, donating food and clothes, creating platforms for our brothers and sisters from Artsakh to find jobs in Armenia. There is love in all this madness.
