Roy let out a slow breath, as if he was gearing up for something. He cleared his throat and entered the coach’s office. Ted had been having a time lately. “One time offer.” He held up his arms and started counting down.“Five…four….”

ted hates paperwork. it’s, objectively, the worst part of the job. he’s never been good at staying stationary for long periods of time, and it’s led to him rereading the same sentence five times in a row. a sigh will tumble from his lips, frustration starting to rear its head in the form of him leaning back in his seat, fingers pinching the bridge of his nose. it’s why he doesn’t initially see roy enter the office, but the gruff voice is enough to tell ted exactly who it is the moment he begins speaking. head tilts up to peak at the man, taking a second to let his eyes roam over him, trying to make sure this isn’t an imposter. . . whatever. imposter or not, this is too good an offer to pass up. “ if this is a dream, don’t wake me now, ” ted declares, as he pushes himself up out of his chair, nearly falling over his own feet in the wake of his haste. he comes barreling into roy, arms cheerily wrapping around his middle. “ this is how i’d imagine huggin’ chewbacca would be. ”

to make matters more amusing, his little act had gotten by. what perfect timing to catch the fox being gullible. head canted towards the light so it wasn't as if they weren't an easy target. quiet little grunt erupts from the pit of their throat. after a beat to register, eyes close ; palms eagerly grasp at neck & jaw. so needy for the act of affection from the ice cold captain.

white fox whines as lungs beg for air, parting to breathe. ❝ yer secretly really devious, ain't ya'? ❞ ears raise from precious laid back state, upright & twitching. ❝ did ya' get it, though? ❞

i love spock with cats just like everyone and i don’t know how much y’all know about cat body language but i felt this would be important to share

this cat is extremely happy (understandable), she’s slow blinking (sign that she’s content/comfortable) and even making biscuits a little bit (the way she clenched her paws like she’s kneading, another sign of comfort/that she trusts the person she’s with)

and i can’t find any other clips but you can tell the whole episode that the cat actor is just so excited to be there

anyways that wasn’t really important i just think it’s nice
