Jealousy, Jealousy | Yesung’s ending

You still were not sure about your decision after these days of making your mind up. Maybe you would stop everything right now. But inside you thought Yesung will be the right person for you.

He was sweet, caring and a gentleman. And you were almost the same age, going almost the same path. You wanted something serious and you knew he did too. That was, at least, the hint he gave you before.

It was a little weird at first when Ten came back for his lessons. His eyes were different after that day he bumped into you and Yesung. There was a lot of tension between both of you.

You stopped him before saying goodbye on the aisle after the class was over.

"Ten, I want you to be honest with me. Can I ask you something?"

"Go ahead."

"You're a great man, but do you like me?"

The question caught him off guard. For a moment he tried to hide himself from you, but just decided to give up.

"I love you... However, you don't, right?" he knew already the answer.

"I'm sure you'll find the right one," you took his hand. "I just don't want you to fall in love with someone who doesn't feel the same. I'm sorry."

Ten's lips made a sad smile on his face. His arms wrapped around you, as if saying goodbye. You knew this was the best for you. So he could stop seeing you in that way, hopefully this wouldn’t change your friendship you thought.

After your shift, you searched for Yesung on the building. You avoided him on lunch time, even didn't answer his calls, but now you made a decision.

You waited for him outside the practice room. Some staff said Super Junior was there, so you better waited outside with Yesung's jacket on your hands. Thankfully, Yesung was the last person to leave the place and you surprised him grabbing his hand from behind.

“Hi!”

“Y/N? I thought you were avoiding me."

He looked back to his members walking away, but decided to stay with you. The practice was over so if this was the time to see you he would take it.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't. I was just nervous, that's all," you apologized with a smile. "Here, your jacket. Thanks."

Yesung took the jacket from your hands, smiling. “So you came to see me?”

“I think that’s this looks like, yeah.”

“I’m all sweaty, sorry you have to see me like this,” he rubbed the back of his neck.

“Is ok. I just want to say I would like to go out... with you, I mean...”

Yesung’s eyes sparkled.

“I would love that too, to be honest,” he chuckled. “I just didn’t know if you wanted to see me again.”

“I know, again I’m sorry I left like that. I just made up my mind and I would like to continue this.”

He smiled and kissed your forehead with his soft lips. “Dinner? Tomorrow?”

You nodded.

“Sounds like a plan.”

Heechul knew about your past, he knew that you got bullied a lot during your younger years. Some even hit you right up to the point that human contact was something you feared. He tried to be understanding, he tried to keep to himself once he noticed you didn't want to hold him. But something inside of him keeps trying for gaining your trust.

He slowly and silently wraps his arm around your shoulder as you grab something to drink in the kitchen. Your body freezes instantly on high alert even knowing that Heechul would never hurt you the way they did. ''Can you please remove your arm?'', you ask with a lump in your throat. ''I'm sorry''.

''Never apologize, we will work on this together and I'm here for you, always''.

Leeteuk got scared the first time you pushed him away as he was trying to hug you. He thought that you didn't want him or that he did something wrong until you came back after a long hot shower explaining to him what happened.

''Do you want to watch a movie?'', he asks as he sits down next to you on the couch. You nod, grabbing the remote and you both try to find a good movie.

After a while, you lay your head down on his lap, your eyes are getting heavier and before you know it you are off to dreamland. Leeteuk caresses the skin on your arm, softly and gently with tiny strokes.

''We will overcome this, step by step''.

After a few dates, Yesung tried to hug you but you refused, excusing yourself and you ran back to your car. Yesung was confused but also very intrigued to find out why you behaved like this.

''I thought you needed some snacks'', he says before you let him into your apartment with a bag full of snacks. ''Or is this weird after 5 dates?''. You just chuckle.

Yesung didn't even have to start about that evening as you sit down next to him, telling him the story you don't really talk about.

''I promise you, I will be there and we will find a way for you to be comfortable with me''.

After a few months of dating, he kinda knew what was going on. He understood, but also kind of disappointed that he couldn't wrap his arms around you. He just wanted to hold you, to protect you.

''Can we try again?'', he asks as you both are getting ready to leave for work. ''I really want to hold you''.

You are unsure, you tried many times but it never worked out the way you both wanted it. You nod, Shindong appeaches you slowly, wrapping his arms around you. Your body freezes but for some reason you place your head on his chest.

''Your past is behind you, I'm here and I will protect you no matter what''.

Siwon is a gentleman, not pushing your boundaries at all. But he sometimes wishes that you would hold him or that he could wrap his arms around you during the night.

''Babe, maybe we can try with just one arm?'', you suggest, having a feeling of guilt wash over you every time you watch Siwon retract his arms. Siwon sits down next to you on the couch, his arm on your shoulders. He notices your body react, frozen in place and you can't even move away from him.

''It's just me. I'm here. I will never hurt you, never''. He places a kiss on your temple, whispering the same words over and over again.

Eunhyuk knows everything about you, including your past. He invited you to a party a few weeks ago and you were very reluctant to go. You don't like crowds of people, loud music, and being home late but you made an exception for him.

Eunhyuk holds your hand as you both walk through the big hall where a lot of people are talking, dancing, and drinking. He greets a friend of his, you know him from a few double dates. As soon as the friend leans in to give you a hug, your body retracts itself, walking backward while still holding onto Eunhyuk's hand.

''Don't act so silly, it is just a hug''. Eunhyuk glares at his friend, he wished he could have stepped at the moment the friend leaned in, but it all went so fast. ''Never ever try to hug her again, you don't know her reasons. Not everybody is like you''. He turns to you with a smile on his face.

''Let's go home and watch Harry Potter''.

Donghae knows you are not into PDA at all, you told him after a few dates that you don't like physical contact, but not the reason for it. Donghae tried to hug you this evening when you came home exhausted from work. You pushed him away and locked yourself up in the bedroom.

''I'm sorry baby, just please let me in and tell me what is going on''.

You are hesitant to open the door, but you do it anyway. You sit down on the bed with him, opening up about your past, the bullying, and the beatings you endured. He doesn't know what to do because holding you is not an option.

''Let me tell you this, I will never hurt you and I will do everything in my power to help you get through this''.

Ryeowook sometimes gets frustrated with the fact he can't hold you or place his arm around you. It resulted in a fight and both of you said some things that you shouldn't have.

''I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said those things to you. And most importantly, I shouldn't get angry with you over your past'', he mumbles as he stands in front of you. You came home after you ran out to your friend's house.

''I'm sorry for reacting that way, so I decided that maybe it is the best to just get over it''. Ryeowook is confused and the confusion gets bigger once you wrap your arms slowly around his waist, you put your head against his chest and you sigh deeply.

''We should give and take in a relationship''.

Kyuhyun lies down on the sofa, scrolling through instagram on his phone and he hears you coming home. He waits for you in the living room. ''Hey babe'', you mumble and you sit next to him on the sofa. He places his phone down on the table, placing his hand on yours to show a sign of affection.

''You are tired'', he notices the dark circles under your eyes. ''Why don't you join me on the couch?''. Kyuhyun knows about your past and he tries every few days to put his arm around you or just show some affection that you are not used to.

You carefully crawl over him, placing your body next to him and you rest your head against his chest. ''Can I wrap my arm around you?'', he asks politely, pressing a kiss on your forehead. You nod, tired of letting your body get control over things that happened ages ago.

''Small steps are important, now rest, you deserved it''.

As you scroll though your Twitter you notice all the hate and hurtful comments from Yesung’s fans. You’d been able to handle it after a month of coming out as being in a relationship but today wasn’t a normal day. Yesung had posted a cute collage of photos documenting your one year anniversary, and despite having a lot of supportive fans there were a handful who hated the fact you’d taken Yesung away from them which wasn’t true. You’d heard what happened to Sungmin and feared a similar situation.

You hear the front door open and quickly wipe away a few stray tears. Yesung walks into the room and you shut your laptop a little too quickly.

He raises an eyebrow, ‘is everything ok Y/N?’

‘Everything is good, nothing to worry about, I missed you,’ you speak, your words coming out mumbled and suspicious.

Yesung furrows his eyebrows in confusion and sits down next to you on the sofa. He grabs your laptop from your hands and opens it before you can stop him, and starts scrolling through one of the trending hashtags #GetAwayFromYesung. You bite your lip as you watch his face turn away from confusion, to hurt, and lastly into anger.

‘Why can’t fans see that I’m happy with you Y/N? I don’t want to be single forever,’ he pouts.

You take the laptop from him and hug him, ‘there are supportive fans who want you to be happy. Things will calm down when they see they still haven’t lost you, since we’ve been dating a year and you keep the fans happy. We can get through this together.’

He sighs, ‘you’re right but I’m not going to let anyone think this kind of behaviour is okay.’

‘What are you going to do?’ you ask, concern in your voice at his sometimes unpredictable nature, ‘don’t do anything you’ll regret later.’

He smiles and takes out his phone, and you watch him scroll through many photos until he pauses on one of the two of you cuddling on the sofa with his cute dogs in the middle of you, ‘I love you Y/N and no one will ever break us up without a fight.’

He posts the photo with the caption ‘Love overcomes every challenge and when you find the one keep them close’

You lean over and kiss his cheek, ‘I love you but the guys are going to get concerned with how much emotion you’re showing.’

He pecks your lips, ‘you’re making me a softy. I love you so much.

House Party, el Covid y la música.

Durante 2020 y 2021, fuimos testigos de una pandemia “moderna”, pues a raíz del Covid-19, toda nuestra cotidianidad se vio afectada, obligándonos a modificarla y cambiando el espacio publico por la privacidad de nuestras casas.

El covid, afectó también a las producciones musicales; pues los conciertos ya no podían hacerse, en el caso del K-pop, las presentaciones en vivo en los programas se vieron obligadas a dejar de invitar al publico; las premiaciones se cancelaron y en algún punto de la pandemia, se reanudaron, pero sin público con el cual interactuar.

Al Covid ser una crisis mundial, de salud, la OMS, se encargó de difundir ualquier tipo de información que ayudase a mitigar los contagios y reducir el numero de muertes que la enfermedad provocó: uso de cubrebocas, lavado de manos constante, distanciamiento social, entre muchos más.

Como en toda crisis, muchos famosos se unieron a campañas para combatir el Covid, otros más hicieron uso de las redes sociales para “transmitir” mensajes de “aliento” a sus seguidores y algunos mas hicieron uso de sus habilidades artísticas, para emitir mensajes de paz y esperanza. Uno de ellos, fue el grupo “Super Junior” de Kpop.

Super Junior

Es una de las bandas de kpop más importantes y famosas de la ola del hallyu. Pues ellos han sido de los pocos grupos coreanos en permanecer todavía activos a pesar del cambio y transición en el kpop. Pues la mayoría de los grupos que fueron parte de la llamada “2da generación”, ya se han disuelto, no siendo el caso de Super Junior. Este grupo, en 2021, celebrarían su 15 aniversario, y tenían grandes planes para compartir con sus seguidores, mismos que en cierta medida se vieron mermados, por la pandemia de Covid-19.

Sin embargo, el 16 de marzo, de 2021, estrenaron su regreso a los programas con su “comeback” House Party. Esta canción forma parte de su ultimo álbum “The Renaissance”, el cuál fue atrasado en su momento por la crisis del Covid.

La canción, trata sobre la pandemia, pero no de una manera mucho más encantadora y vivaz. Algunas de las frases que corresponden al mensaje son:

"De acuerdo a las nuevas reglas tenemos que cuidarnos para protegernos unos a otros" ¿Fiestas? No. ¿Vamos a un concierto? No. No usar cubrebocas es una tontería" "Quédate en casa, es peligroso salir en este tiempo" y "La solución para que esto termine la tenemos todos nosotros"

Esta canción, a parte de las críticas positivas, atrajo la atención de Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, el director general de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, quién felicitó a través de su cuenta oficial de Twitter.

Esta canción es muestra de como las crisis suelen afectar en el arte, a pesar de que podemos pensar de que la propia industria musical, movió a su favor este tipo de mensajes. Sin embargo, la influencia de la pandemia, sigue impresa en la humanidad a pesar de que parece haberse controlado casi por completo.

Yesung, de son vrai nom Kim Jong-woon né le 24 août 1984 à Séoul, est un chanteur, danseur et acteur sud-coréen. Il a débuté en tant que membre du boys band de K-pop Super Junior, ainsi que deux de ses sous-groupes, Super Junior-K.R.Y et Super Junior-H. Son nom de scène Yesung signifie « voix artistique » en coréen.

Yesung ! Lui, je l'ai connu tout d'abord dans le groupe des Super Junior et en solo sur l'Ost du drama Cinderella's Sister.
