oh anon i have SO many thoughts … i’m actually writing a snow days with svt reactions post currently that will be out in at most two weeks!! it’s finals week at uni so i’m slammed until then, but here’s some crumbs to tide you over.

literally so mad seeing so many people defend soobin/taeyong/mingi/woozi for liking made in abyss like it actually makes me so upset because. like. why dont you care. why dont you care that your faves are into a piece of media that has all of these disturbing, heavy, topics/themes and portrays them in a way that feels exploitative...like do you truly not care about the content of the show/manga or do you just refuse to accept that people you're a fan of can do shitty things. because i dont know which is worse.

and im saying this as someone who is VERY into horror, and has watched and enjoyed "extreme" horror. because theres a difference between a piece of media that deals with disturbing and heavy topics in a way that takes these topics seriously and isn't exploitative, and a piece of media like made in abyss that does not do those things, and just includes disturbing shit so people can get off to it.

THEY RECOMMENDED THAT SHIT TOO LIKE...come on. also i gotta be honest im not excusing soobin for saying he doesnt want to recommend it for "being provocative"...like thats all he had to say about it????? thats it??? thats the only reason he doesnt want to recommend it??? yeah no everything else he said definitely shows he endorses it and thats really not enough for me to feel that he actually understands how gross it is. he said he was having fun watching it. thats enough for fans to take it as a recommendation and he knows it
