Just went to go see Return of the Jedi in theaters. I haven’t watched it in a while, and after it was over I was left with the painful realization of just how much Disney has ruined Star Wars. With a few exceptions, such as The Bad Bad and Clone Wars S7, many of the new SW productions have lost the beauty that the original films and the prequels captured.

It's easy to watch this scene and think that Shin Hati is just another run-of-the-mill megalomaniac, but I think she is so much more than that.
When I watched this scene, I didn't see a person who wants power just for the sake of it, I saw a person who wants power because she's never had any to begin with (before Baylan took her in). She strikes me as someone who wants it because she wants to give herself the freedom she has been deprived of for so long and no longer be at the mercy of the chaos, turmoil, and malice found across the galaxy.
Baylan Skoll is a fantastic character, but that doesn't mean we should overlook the complexity and nuance that's found in his apprentice.

I feel like ep6 really revealed the weakness of the Ahsoka show—it’s a show about Ahsoka, and for all of ep5’s flaws, it felt like we were finally getting that. But then we had to go back to the pre-established plot: stopping Thrawn, a character she’s never interacted with, finding Ezra, who she had a very limited relationship with, and figuring out what Baylan’s, a new character who she just met, goal is. And it’s really jarring, because these two plots don’t fit together well.
In the Rebels endcard, we already had Ahsoka the White. She’d already figured herself out before they left to find Ezra. The show wasn’t going to be about her finding herself. That show would’ve worked WAY better, because then they could have focused more on the finding Ezra part, instead of flickering back and forth from two plots that could’ve been great on their own, but just don’t mesh well.
I guess what im saying is that I wish they’d had an Ahsoka show about Ahsoka finding herself and becoming Ahsoka the White, and then the original Rebels sequel. The show can’t be both.

Okay but Anakin making a bunch of training holograms for Ahsoka is so on brand—for what we saw of him in TCW, yeah, but especially for what we saw in Tales of the Jedi

Palpatine’s thoughts on why Luke refuses to join him, in the short story “Then Fall Sidious”. I highly recommend it to any Palpatine fan who likes him shown as a complex character and more than just the bad guy.
The story is featured in the anthology book “Star Wars Return of the Jedi: From a Certain Point of View”, and written by Olivie Blake.

Is it me or did anyone else really want to hear Huyang’s story
Stunning visuals, love the setting and imagination and design of peridea. Its literally perfect.
My jaw dropped as they panned to the chimaera. Once i saw the symbol i screamed.
THRAAAAWWWWWNN!!!!!
Thrawn gives me literal chills bro, like dude is cooooollllddd.
Um the scary howler is fucking adorable. And so is Sabine. I can’t go without mentioning her cuz she is just 🤌🏽 ✨sabine✨
Getting Baylan and Shin lore gave a lot of depth to their characters. I wonder what Baylan sees in peridea when his padawan is repeatedly like: “this place gives me the creeps, lets dip”
EZZZZRAAA’SSS BACKKK MOTHERFUCKERSSS!!!!
I saw ezra and i was like laugh crying. The emotions just left me. The hug and the “i knew i could count on you” is just mwah
Overall i rate ezrillion/10

genuinely haven’t been as mesmerized by a piece of media in a long time like the heist scene in episode 6 of andor. No idea where it was going. everybody was so sexy and competent and fucking up at the same time. i was jumping out of my seat when THAT happened to nemik. i could have never predicted that. 5 minutes later the second absolute blind side scene. Kassa shoots first. This show is amazing.

Just left to wonder if Skeen argued for them to fly to the doctor truly for Nemik's sake, or if it was his best angle to separate the crew and have alone time to convince Cassian.
A very scumbag move either way, as he'd have left a potentially crippled Nemik with no money.
It hurts, how real this entire episode felt :-<
