I have also been staring at angry Buck while turning Bobby's words "I let him into my house" over and over in my head and I am OBSESSED. Because Buck is pissed, but he's also resigned that of course this was always going to happen, and there's also that bit of dawning horror that the fallout is on him because HE told Chim and Hen it was okay to trust her. I hate that we wasted so much time on their relationship being boring and awful when we could have dedicated a few episodes earlier on to something like this happening and let it play out a bit.
Ooh I didn’t even think about Bobby’s “I let him into my house” but GOD he let her into his house! He asked her to move in out of hurried panic rather than dealing with the fallout from a confrontation!! (Cough Bobby hiring Jonah permanently after Eddie blew up at him cough cough)
And then! At the end of a torturous situation, she went directly for the heart(s) of the 118!!
I made the post before hero complex actually aired but my god the set up for the Bobby-Buck guilt crash in season six is gonna just be
anyway, yeah, I also am upset we wasted so much time on this relationship when they could’ve at least made it messy instead of just dead, but the season’s almost over now so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

that news anchor making fun of Travis and Taylor’s relationship makes me annoyed- do people not understand people fall in love at different paces??
There’s nothing wrong with Taylor being in another serious relationship again.
her and Joe are over. She’s allowed to be serious with Travis omg.
I’m going to guess you’re talking about the hosts of The View since I saw headlines about one of their conversations recently. I believe they usually don’t have positive opinions on Taylor. I think some of the things they consider to be “red flags” as odd since Travis’ statement about not wanting to push her away was more so about going at her pace. Like when something’s right it just is and you can’t really plan for that so who cares if they’re perceived as moving to fast, all that matters is how the people in that relationship feel about how things are going. It feels like the conversation echoes a lot of the really sexist comments that were lobbed her way from 2013-2017. I don’t see why they feel the need to talk about her if it’s something they don’t really enjoy talking about, they can bring different things to talk about instead. I think they should follow Whoopi’s lead and just not say anything if they don’t want to engage with it.

The thing about Lucy is that she done nothing with the screen time she had, but even if she did something relevant... people would still find it a problem. People would still use the same “eats screentimes that could be given to already established characters like Ravi, Karen, Albert and May”, because in the end they simply don’t want know anything more about her character after the poor introduction writers gave to her.
First Impression is strong, and she had a really bad one. The opinion people have on her It’s totally understandable, and is mostly the writers fault that people react this way with Lucy.
A lot of people will dislike her character, it doesn’t matter if she is doing something relevant or not. It’s basically what happened to Taylor. She caused a very bad first impression (by wanting to expose Bobby in a vulnerable situation) and the writers made lot of poor decisions with her along the way (floating personality, written to fit Buck’s character needs, eating screen time with irrelevant journalism scenes) that by the moment they tried to make something with Taylor people just couldn’t care less, they just wanted Taylor gone.
Same thing happens to Lucy. Her character is already introduced in a bad decision that impacts negatively a fan favorite character arc (cheating plotline with Buck, who couldn’t dare cheat even when he was still in his S1 slutty era), but said bad decision literally lead to nowhere, meaning there was no point in making it at all.
All the beef people have with Lucy would literally not exist if she was introduced in a different way.

Not quite a fully formed thought, so bare with me.
I think another reason I find the whole Buck and Natalia thing so disappointing and frustrating is because it really has played out as another trauma response from Buck. We had to suffer all of season 5, and a portion of season 4, of Buck and Taylors toxic and somehow boring relationship. Why? Because their relationship was, you guessed it, born out of a trauma response from Buck.
It’s a repeat. Which means Buck learned next to nothing in being with TK. Let’s be real, Buck only and finally cut things off with TK because she was full on willing to put Buck and Bucks family in danger. It took something rather extreme for Buck to officially call it quits.
I can only say “thankfully” Natalia hasn’t been dragged out over a season and a half the way TK was.
It would have been interesting, truly, if Natalia as a death doula had helped Buck process his death (especially if the show is weirdly hesitant for Buck to get proper help and support from his found family. to allow Buck to seek help and answers from them alone, and not outside help). But instead we just got. Buck falling into a brief but boring relationship with a woman who was legit only interested in his death. A piece of Buck, just like TK was only interested in pieces of Buck.
At this point I can only speculate that in the finale Natalia may come back and ask for another chance, but Buck will say no because he realizes he deserves better. Is that growth for Buck? In some aspects, yes. But, and idk how to word it right now, not the most satisfying of rewards at this point.
And look. I get it, I really do. I get how much trauma Buck has gone through, but this story is playing out in a show. I’ve said it a few times before already, but Buck has been going in circles as a character for three seasons. Three. It’s disappointing to think that the powers at 9-1-1 thought season 6 may have been their last season, and so they wrote this honestly messy narrative for Buck. A Buck who for pretty much all of season 6 has remained going in circles.

Also to the people that came back at me then blocked me, it’s not really about Bucktommy stopping Buddie being together because they either will or they won’t go there it’s about the shows need to bring back problematic characters as love interests.
Tommy a whole ass bigot. Bring him back for Bucks bi storyline which even for us who believed in bi Buck taints it a bit seeing as they could have brought on a whole new character if they didn’t want to use someone else already in the show.
Ana Flores the ableist. She would have been a perfectly reasonable choice if her introduction hadn’t been laced in ableism, again if they wanted to use a teacher bring on someone new who hadn’t already given a negative impression.
Taylor Kelly. Taylor was happy to see Bobby crash and burn just so she could progress in her job. She started out this fierce ‘I do what I want’ character who would have continued to be a great antagonist but they turned her into a love interest who Buck walked all over and was nothing compared to who she used to be.
Lucy Donato. I was so excited when they brought her on as she was a cool woman firefighter who would have been great but she was straight away reduced to an affair partner. The way they did interviews and articles about how great this cheating arc was and how much bigger it was going to be was just trash. They thought we’d love Lucy more than we hated Taylor and we just felt bad for Taylor. They took a character who could have been awesome and made her someone most of us didn’t even like.
The way this show consistently tries to brush bad behaviour under the carpet is just weird. You want to redeem someone redeem them but let us see it. So much happens offscreen and it’s crazy.
If Tommy was the only one we could maybe let it slide that it happened we just didn’t see it but once is a mistake, twice is a pattern, three times is a habit.
A lot of us have been under the assumption Buck is bi for YEARS so we can’t get invested in Tommy because we already knew. If Tommy was this nice new guy I’d absolutely give him a chance but he’s not and bigotry is such a huge thing and from what we’ve seen of him so far I just don’t think he’s completely changed at all.

beyond the few scenes we got in canon, how would taylors (and maybe kellys) interactions with the twins and kitty go?
remind me to never color anything no matter how quickly and poorly cobbled together it is again
but anyway to answer your question, taylor does not like the twins at all. she doesn't explicitly hate them but she rolls with heather's clique and definitely harasses them when given the opportunity much like any other scrawny nerd unfortunate enough to be attending the university with her. not to mention their affiliation with noah and team e-scope puts them pretty high on the wanted list for people like her looking to get into heather and alejandro's good graces
jay also dislikes taylor quite a bit, he doesn't take anyone picking on his brother lightly despite being frail and pathetic himself and would be a petty, snarky bastard in any interaction he and taylor had by default, even if it's an argument he can't really win
mickey is just kinda scared of taylor, she's mean, she's loud, and she picks on him and his brother for their illnesses and adversities--as well as his other friends at the uni. he struggles to harbor negative feelings towards anyone for any prolonged amount of time, so dislike or hate would be strong words, but he would prefer to avoid her if given the chance
now kitty would square up the second taylor started talking shit about her boys, she already thinks taylor is a shallow person with no real personality outside of being rich, spoiled, and mean after the race so she wouldn't hesitate to pick a fight if she caught a bitch picking on her best friends. otherwise, like the twins, she wouldn't go out of her way to interact with taylor unless it was forced
as for kelly? since she's so much older and serves as more of an honorary staff member alongside former contestants like dwayne, pete, and gerry, the twins don't have much to say about her or many reasons to talk to her outside of passing. i feel like she'd be apologetic for taylor's behavior but not really do much about it, meanwhile any time jay gets too close to her he has an asthma attack because he's allergic to her perfume. they probably think she's fine though as a person, nice enough anyway
sorry for the wait!! i've been a little busy recently but i'm gonna hop back into the pending asks as soon as i've got some more free time!!! ;3;

tagged by @cold-blooded-jelly-doughnut <3 some more vampire!buck feat. taylor kelly!
For once, Buck is glad he doesn’t need to pick up Christopher immediately after school. Instead it’s Chris’ time with Carla for a few hours before Buck needs to go back to the Diaz household and take care of him tonight.
It’s not that he doesn’t love Chris – he does with all his undead heart. More than Buck learns to realize. It’s just hard to look at Chris’ smiling face while he’s in Eddie’s house and Eddie’s not there. Hard to pretend to stay positive for his kid while not knowing how Eddie is doing in that hospital and he can’t visit him until he wakes up.
A little break in his loft where he doesn’t have to fake a smile is a nice relief.
He’s in the middle of taking off the stupid bullet vest when there’s a knock at his place. He must’ve been so lost in his thoughts, he didn’t even hear the heartbeat now assaulting his ears from behind his front door. When he opens the door, he’s met with Taylor’s sympathetic face as she asks to come in.
“I wanted to see how you were doing since…everything.”
Buck could lie to her, however he’s been lying so much to everyone lately, it would be nice to be truly honest with someone. “I hate this. Bobby had to take my phone away because I kept waiting for Ana to tell me that he’s awake.”
Something flashes across Taylor’s face. If Buck is paying full attention, he might have been able to identify it. “I’m sorry, Buck. Are there any leads to who the sniper might be?”
He shakes his head. “I keep being told they’re working on it as fast as possible but-” Buck yawns, the day, the weeks, catching up to him. He’s barely had any blood since the shooting. Bobby noticed. In the morning he slides Buck’s preferred water bottle full of bagged blood towards him for breakfast. Then again during lunch and dinner when Buck can only manage a couple gulps. It’s only enough to get him through a couple days, yet not sustainable. Eventually Buck knows he’ll have to truly feed. Yet the idea of it brings up memories of Eddie’s splattered blood on his tongue, and Buck can’t do it.
The yawn causes Taylor to raise her eyebrows. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you yawn before. Are you sure you’re okay?” She grabs his face to get a better look at him. That’s when she notices his dark circles under the eyes, his more hollow cheeks, and his paler face. He rolls his eyes when she gasps in realization. “When was the last time you fed, Buck?”
“Taylor, it’s not that big of a deal-” She leaves him to go to his kitchen “-really, I’m fine-” he stops when he smells her blood. Glancing quickly over at her, she’s smirking triumphantly with a knife in one hand and a cut on her other wrist. Walking towards him, she offers her bloody wrist to him, her expression granting no argument to refuse.
“Drink.”
Taking her wrist, he hesitates before bringing it to her lips. Already he can feel his fangs out. Licking his tongue along the trail of blood, he tests it out. AB negative. He can remember the last time he’s had blood from someone who is AB negative. It was so long ago, he made himself slow down in drinking it so he can savor it. The flavor so sweet, almost addictive he wanted to keep  that taste on his tongue for hours after he was done.
Taylor Kelly might just be his new favorite addiction after this.
Sinking his teeth in her wrist, he moans as her blood hits that back of his mouth. “That’s it, that’s a good boy. Drink as much as you need.” Buck whines at the praise she gives him. He could go on forever, except he knows he can’t. As much as he wants to keep going, Buck only takes enough that’s the equivalent of a blood donation. When he looks in Taylor’s eyes, they’re slightly glassy from the blood loss. Along with something else there. Despite Buck being the predator, he feels like he’s the prey in this scenario as he keeps staring in those eyes.
“Thanks. I think I have some food for you to help with the blood loss-”
“Don’t worry about it.” Taylor starts to leave when she turns back around. “Hey. If you ever need to feed again, you have my number.”

Meghan's recent Beyonce outing was a masterclass in clapbacks and trolling us by u/Negative_Difference4
Meghan's recent Beyonce outing was a masterclass in clapbacks and trolling us The first story that came out was that she was at the Taylor Swift concert. All of us said that it was highly unlikely because she would have been photographed at the event. Or she would have been captured by people in the crowds. I personally don't think she was able to source tickets at the last minute. Especially, as I think Taylor doesn't want her association. But this got me thinking... imagine if she was at the concert and was filmed pathetically dancing. She would have been trolled the same. But what would her clapback narrative be? Especially as she would be seen hanging out with all her white friends and contacts. The second story was about her visiting the Beyonce concert on the 1st of September. There she set up a tiktoker to film them as a fan in an adjoining private box. But those videos were released after Harry looking like a miserable turd. Then the photo of her dancing like a granny went viral. So, she quickly made sure that the association with Doria was emphasised. Doria and Beyonce being black meant that any criticism of Meghan or the situation meant that Meghan's supporters and sugars could label any criticism as 'veiled racism' by the sub. The third story was when she attended the Beyonce concert for a second time on the 4th of September (Beyonce's birthday) and hung out in the VIP box with all the A-listers. Meghan made sure she was photographed with only the black a-list VIPS. She was photographed with Kelly Rowland, Kerry Washington, Jay-Z, Ted Sarandos' Wife, Tyler Perry. It was interesting that she didn't travel with Doria (who also attended) this time or take pictures with the Kardashians or Jeff Bezos or Justin Beiber, who were in close vicinity. So the reaction to our comments and criticism was once again framed as a racist agenda by the sugars. The narrative rolled out was that because someone doesn't like Beyonce and because Beyonce and Meghan are black, therefore, any criticism of Meghan comes from a place of racism. The fact that we live in a free society, where we have freedom of opinions, escapes a lot of people. Similarly, comments about her giving duper's delight in the photo with Kelly and Kerry. It was a good photo, but lets not pretend like she didn't look crazy and way too happy to prove that she was there. So I think she did play her cards well this time, she picked to be seen at events that are more aligned with her agenda. She made sure douse herself in tan. And in the worse case, she can fall back on any negative criticism as racism. Well played Meghan, shame that your supporters are too dumb to see it post link: https://ift.tt/Q5Ncq1k author: Negative_Difference4 submitted: September 08, 2023 at 03:00AM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

Yours, Jack (1/5): Hello
Fandom/Pairing: Newsies; Jack/Davey Rating: M Tropes/Genre: Meet-Cute, WWII, Letter Writing, 1940s AU Summary: Jack Kelly doesn’t wake up intending to fall in love. But he bumps into David Jacobs, who’s been drafted in the Second World War, on a crowded street. They strike up an unlikely but undeniable connection, and David asks Jack to write him letters while he’s deployed. Out of their frequent letters, something more than friendship unfolds. Written for the @newsiesficandexchangechallenge
A/N: I’m a simple person. I hear Taylor Swift’s “Timeless” and I need an AU immediately. Hello_Hello_Romeo didn't ask for much of anything specific, just that the boys should suffer. and suffer they will :) (a little. as a treat) So uh, recently I’ve been kind of very interested in WWII and I honestly hate admitting that bc I have a very negative connotation with history buffs into wwii bc they’re always racist old white men but I am neither white nor a man and while that doesn’t automatically make me not racist I hope y’all know that I’m obsessed with WWII in a Non Creepy Way. I just find the social, political, and economical effects it had on the world incredibly interesting! Anyway. That being said. Some shit is historically accurate, some is not bc this is fanfiction and I can literally do whatever I want. Enjoy!
Jack Kelly doesn’t wake up intending to fall in love.
In fact, the day starts like any other. He goes about his morning routine and changes into his selling clothes. After a quick bowl of milk and shredded wheat from his tiny fridge and even tinier pantry, he grabs his bag of art supplies and trots down the narrow stairway of his apartment building.
Just like any other monotonous, will-breaking day, he sets up his stool and easel and sign that reads “Artist’s Sketch $1”.
The DeLancey brothers scowl at him while they set up Mr. Weisel’s produce stand, as if he’s the one with the reputation for taking wooden bats to people’s knee caps. Today, Jack ignores them. He’s not particularly in the mood to pick a fight.
Unlike any other day, things are a little slow going. Jack’s been out here for several hours and the pickings are still slim. An elderly couple taking a walk, a young mother and her two sons—even a middle aged man and his Boston Terrier all take their place in front of Jack for their portraits.
He’s about to pack up and maybe head to Medda’s to see if she’ll have work for him, when he hears arguing just ti the right of him. One voice he recognizes as Weisel’s, the other, however, is new to him.
“I don’t know what kind of operation you’re running here, but either give me what we paid for or give me my money back.”
In front of the produce stand, is a young man around Jack’s age. The crease at the front of his long navy trousers accentuate his long legs, and the shirt and tie beneath his tan pullover sweater is well pressed. He looks taken care of. Jack figures he’s got someone at home—a fiancé, wife maybe—that put those there.
The hands clenched at the stranger’s side and the way his jaw sets determinedly, highlighting his strong nose, however, are mismatched with his clean cut clothes. He doesn’t seem particularly eager for a fight, but clearly has zero intention of backing down either.
Something darts out from behind him, and it’s then Jack notices the little boy who’d been hiding between the young man’s legs. Without breaking Weisel’s gaze, the young man pushes the little boy backwards again, much to the little boy's annoyance, who is insistent on being let in on the action. A wallet drops onto the ground near the little boy, who picks it up and stuffs it back into the older boy’s pocket with a practiced ease.

NBC's Law & Order Franchise -- A Franchise in Disarray
NBC's Law & Order franchise (which started with the original series in 1990) has seen numerous changes over the years, but in this post-COVID-19 era of television, some of these new changes are not for the good.
Tumblr media
The Law & Order 2022 reboot is lacking what made it's original run legacy television, Special Victims Unit lost a beloved show runner/executive producer (Warren Leight who decided the leave at the end of season 23) and cast member (Kelli Giddish, who was fired at the start of season 24, which later resulted in controversy as details of her firing came to light), and Organized Crime which has had a revolving door of show runners/executive producers since it's inception BEFORE it even made it to air.
I'm going to start in sequential order in which negative change [IN MY OPINION] came into play with this once beloved TV franchise that was once taglined by critics and press as "Must See TV/Most Watched Television"
Please Click the read more tab below to read my thoughts on the brand and what I feel can be done to correct the course of the brand, before it's too late... hang on to your seats!
Law & Order: Organized Crime (2021-present, season 3) - a Disorganized Mess.
The Christopher Meloni led series has had numerous complications behind the scenes since the show's inception pre-production. Chicago P.D.'s Matt Olmstead co-created the show with Dick Wolf (and later Ilene Chaiken) and Olmstead left the production after the pilot ("What Happens in Puglia") to be replaced by Chaiken (of The L Word fame). Law & Order: OC never started with much of a premise and a way to establish itself as it started with Stabler mostly bringing Kathy Stabler's killers (the Wheatley's: portrayed by Dylan McDermott and Tamara Taylor) to justice. And in between that, Stabler and the unit going in and out of undercover assignments. The Organized Crime Control Bureau has never really been fleshed out since the series start; season 3 brought some new detectives into the fold to assist with that but storylines in the serialized series have been all over the place.
While Organized Crime was meant to distance itself from the formula of the Law & Order brand, it doesn't feel like a Law & Order show - it feels more like the Stabler show to where we mostly see Stabler as IMO this almost vigilante cop seeking retribution, in this day and age (and Stabler's because he should definitely be matured from this kind of mindset), it doesn't work. This show lacks "the Law & Order feel" (title cards don't even exist in this show except for one episode, "Gimmie Shelter") and I believe it's why the series doesn't hold audience much as SVU or even the rebooted mothership.
It doesn't help that the show is now on it's 6th show runner, being SVU's David Graziano (who is surrounded by a controversy of his own that seems to be being pushed under the rug and ignored by higher ups at the network and at Wolf Entertainment). Olmstead, Chaiken, Barry O'Brien, Bryan Goluboff from SVU, Sean Jablonski and now Graziano. What ever is going on behind the scenes at OC needs to come to a full stop otherwise this show won't make it to syndication status (5 seasons, 100 episodes). This show has a super talented cast that deserve the best; Danielle Moné Truitt and Ainsley Sieger absolutely shine!
Law & Order (reboot 2022-present, season 2) - more like crash & burn.
Now this show is really pushing my buttons and it's only because of how the stories are being written for this reboot starting from the very first episode. Dick Wolf and the network decided to give the mothership it's very much deserved second chance (it never should have been canceled) and they've managed to put together a stellar cast out of Jeffery Donovan (Burn Notice), Hugh Dancy (Hannibal), Odelya Halevi, and Camryn Manheim. Sam Waterston returned as Jack McCoy and this season Mehcad Brooks (Supergirl, Necessary Roughness) replaced Anthony Anderson who only opted to do one season.
I'm not going to sugar coat this, making Rick Eid (who 'developed' a show that was already developed once back in 1988/1990 when he was still in grade school - it's a reboot where nothing has changed formula wise!) the show runner/EP over this series is a very poor business decision. Eid has had a poor history within the Law & Order franchise itself. He was part of a writing team that Dick Wolf and the network had to intervene and dismiss back in 2007 due to declining ratings on mother ship due to the decline in the quality of the writing at that time, Wolf made him show runner over Law & Order: SVU's 18th season and Eid "had to move on [to Chicago P.D.]", basically for the same reason. The. Same. Reason. It's a case of "Fool me once, fool me twice," we're on the 3rd now.
From the minute "The Right Thing" hit the airwaves, I knew it was 2007/2016 all over again! The reboot storylines are tone-deaf, have massive plot holes, pull directly from the headlines without much deviance, skew to certain political leanings (hard left and right) and is shoved into the faces of viewers, and problems with legal strategy that actually go against the actual law and procedures that wouldn't even wash in an actual courtroom (and yes I am aware it's work of fiction but that is why they have legal advisors on the payroll - or at least I hope).
And the characters? Caricatures. I can't really root for any of them - Samantha Maroun & Jalen Shaw (Halevi & Brooks who are great) are the closet ones who are actually being fleshed out as characters that can be relatable/likable. Cosgrove and Price need work bad! Cosgrove is basically a more hard-core Elliot Stabler with a thick Bronx accent in one episode and then another episode he's a young Lennie Briscoe/Michael Westen from Burn Notice mix; it's not consistent. Most seem to prefer him portraying Cosgrove in a Michael Westen-ish style as opposed to Stabler 2.0 (if that's the case swap Donovan and Meloni).
Nolan Price? I don't know where to start. Who is Nolan Price? I don't know honestly but I can tell you he is NOT a great prosecutor. He's no Mike Cutter, McCoy or even Ben or Peter Stone. Price is written just as inconsistent as Cosgrove is and the cases as they make it to court and trial make Price worse, because it seems ambition and wanting to win is the only thing this character has. "Bias" that just aired showcased Price as a colleague was murdered and he had a personal investment in the case. He should have be recused and maybe even suspended due to his misconduct. And Price's arrogance in this episode, telling Jack McCoy that he let him run with the case because "I'm the best." I love Hugh Dancy and he's a magnificent actor but this writing is hurting this role for him in my view.
And speaking of McCoy, where the hell is he? I understand Sam Waterston can't do what he was doing back in 2007 in the courtroom scenes and he is the district attorney but my goodness, his scenes "lack meat" now, it's all bone. Jack says something pithy about the case, yells a little, and walks out his office/elevator/outside. Eid said in an interview that he wanted McCoy to walk in the shoes of Adam Schiff (Steven Hill), if that's the case Schiff was way more involved in his prosecutors cases and had more say in the direction the cases go. Again, it goes back to the writing.
Unlike on OC, Law & Order could use a show runner change, and it could use it ASAP, because what's airing as quality in this reboot is tarnishing the legacy that the original mothership established.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999-present, season 24) - what is going on behind the scenes and on screen is especially heinous.
Warren Leight's departure last year was the catalyst, however Kelli Giddish's firing was the irresistible force slamming the immovable object - so to speak. Kelli Giddish was fired in place of Wolf/NBC wanting younger blood (Molly Burnett, Days of our Lives); not even a year prior Wolf/NBC faced a form of backlash after dropping two cast members of color - Demore Barnes and Jamie Gray Hyder - in exchange for one male (Octavio Pisano). Star Mariska Hargitay tried to step in to keep Kelli on the show but she was overruled by Wolf and the network.
Meanwhile something that hasn't been overruled but more overlooked; new show runner David Graziano's prior and current accusations of bullying, misogyny, and toxic behavior on sets and behind the scenes of show's he's worked on, including SVU. Graziano took to his Instagram to try and 'explain' his accusations but he did not deny them. How can you write and supervise any kind of story about women's empowerment, healing after trauma and sexual assault, inclusiveness, and justice as someone who has/is doing personal actions against that very stance? And how can Dick Wolf and NBC over look it? Money talks in short. He's also running OC for the last 3 episodes in this season.
That aside which is problematic of itself, like the mother ship, the storylines on SVU have taken a turn sideways. Season 24 started off pretty solid, it wasn't the best it's been in it's prime and younger years (S3-7, and again S13-17), but it was passable to view. Now? Post-Kelli Giddish it seems like the focus is on Muncy (Burnett), Velasco (Pisano) and the recurring guest cast (Kevin Kane and Jasmine Batchelor); ICE T and Peter Scanavino's screen time is noticeably decreased this season than season's past. And like mothership's storylines, inconsistency is on display in full view.
Under Graziano in his first 6 episodes (Gimmie Shelter is written by Rick Eid and Gwen Sigan as part of the season premiere crossover) were the solid ones, even before Kelli's last episode I felt a change in tone coming into play; and coming off of the season's Bronx trilogy its even more noticeable. It's like it's a mix of Eid's season 18 and some other show that's NOT SVU. The focus has gone off of the survivors, veteran characters, the pursuit of the worst criminal offenders, the pursuit of justice and the unit itself. SVU has gone off of the rails and if they want this show to continue to break records and preserve the legacy that it has both on and off screen, they better make some changes fast. SVU's ratings haven't exactly decreased but all this 'change' could soon have a negative impact on them; SVU's dominate the entire franchise right now as a show that's consistently been on air for 24 years now in a changing TV landscape.
In summary/my suggestion(s): the Law & Order franchise needs to undergo some major changes behind the scenes, starting with the gentlemen running these shows. I don't directly want to call for the dismissal of show runners/executive producers Rick Eid and David Graziano (certainly from SVU) but I do feel this is the start absent them being given a different set of marching orders that they should follow (not likely). The issues I brought up above only touch the surface, I don't want to sound nit-picky but things could and should be better.
This franchise is 33 years old and still going, and it could go longer and further but if there aren't any immediate changes that make an impact and turn things around, and the shows keep going about as they are: this franchise won't be around much longer. "The Story Is Everything" is what Dick Wolf has said about the L&O brand and NBC even used that as a tagline during the prime years on the network 2003-2007. That's where the investment needs to start.

PART TWO: QUESTIONNAIRE.
start at the beginning, who are you and why are you important?
"My name is Savannah Rose, I'm a 22 year old from Georgia and I'm a singer."
how long have you been making music?
"It kinda feels like forever. I did pageants as a little girl so my mama had me doing all sorts of singing bits and stuff like that. But when it came to actually playing instruments, I think I was about ten? so 12 years?"
how would you describe the kind of music you make?
"For me it's pretty real and raw. Vulnerable. It's very much just a girl and her guitar vibes right now but I'm trying to work on that."
who are some of your biggest musical influences?
"Honestly, Tay swift is my girl. I love how she just writes her truth and doesn't accept peoples bad behavior. But I really did look up to both Shania and Honey K and Jenna for a long time."
what is the first record you ever bought?
"The first one I ever bought? My dad took me to the midnight release of Red by Taylor Swift at target... My mom was so mad because I was tired and cranky for my pageant the next day, but in the end it was worth it."
what has working in the music industry meant to you thus far in your career?
Savy pulled in a deep breath. The last thing she wanted was to dox herself in an interview. But at the same time it was so hard to care. At least now she was taking off her clothes for more money then she ever made in pageants. "I haven't found much success doing just music yet. I'm hoping to change that soon."
what are some stand out moments from your career so far?
"Well, this interview is probably the biggest one so far."
how would you describe your style of performance? what makes your shows worth seeing?
"I try to make sure everyone is having a good time. I mean you always have those people who who will never be happy, but I'll do everything reasonable to make sure you're having a good time."
what are you still hoping to achieve in your career?
"All I wanna be able to do is make a living doing what I love to do."
what’s next for you?
"Well, honestly I'm hoping to get discovered. Signed onto someone's label so I can put out my very first album and see how it goes from there."
PART THREE: BACKGROUND:
Savannah was an unwanted child. Though you've never know at looking at it from the outside.
Tammy Jo was promising Miss Georgia contestant who had her title stripped from her once she got pregnant unexpectedly from a one night stand.
With a baby on the way, there really wasn't much more that Tammy or Harrison could do other then get married. Even if the two were complete opposites.
Due to her dreams being dashed, Tammy Jo entered her three month old daughter into a beauty pageant, much to the dismay

🎂 for justin (i have a hunch about his zodiac sign and i need to confirm bc he reminds me of someone ik irl lmao)
and 🤍💔for taylor !
🎂 BIRTHDAY CAKE — when is your oc's birthday? how old are they? what are their sun, moon, & rising signs (if known)? what about their tarot card, ruling planet, & ruling number (if known)? do they fit the typical traits of these sun, moon, & rising signs?
I don’t know much about astrology or tarot beyond the basic star signs (and Justin most definitely doesn’t put any stock in those things). So I’m going to stick with the very basics here.
Justin’s birthday is May 14, making him a Taurus. He’s a few months shy of his 39th birthday at our current point in the story. When I looked up his birthdate and found out he was a Taurus, my first thought was “bullheaded…yep, that fits.” A little further reading tells me that they can be argumentative, stubborn, and possessive. So yeah…definitely a Taurus.
🤍 WHITE HEART — what are three of your oc's neutral/questionable traits?
1) Taylor is very loyal. Not a bad thing, but she needs to take a hard look at exactly what she’s loyal to.
2) She trusts easily and shares things quickly in new relationships. This has worked out in her friendships with Ayla and Kelly. In her relationship with Justin…not so much.
3) She has a lot of confidence in her own abilities. Again, not a bad thing, but it’s a large part of why she’s in over her head with Justin—she spent way too long believing she could handle him.
💔 BROKEN HEART — what are three of your oc's negative traits?
1) Taylor has a very narrow worldview. We’ll see more of this in the arc I’m working on, but she’s always lived an upper middle class life and doesn’t really understand what things are like outside that bubble.
2) She has a judgmental streak. She’s far more subtle about it than Justin is, but it’s definitely there.
3) She’s got some toxic positivity going on. I think this was always a small part of her personality, but having to curate her image as an influencer has really magnified it.
