cannot get over the idea of michael having to explain anything traumatic that happened to him well after the fact and it's just. so clear he hasn't dealt with it at all. eyes downcast, voice shaking. he doesn't realize he's crying until somebody tells him.

it's like it's happening all over again.

I fr can’t stop thinking about michael afton being a tmnt fan. Like in 87 pre scooping he’d watch it while waiting for the immortal and the restless to come on and then post scooping it’d become a bit of a comfort show ig. He’d go see the 1990s movies because he was bored and be surprised that he actually really liked them- the first one at least. Then throughout the 90s he’d get his hands on as many of the comics as he could. In 2003 the new version would come out and he loved it too, same with the 2007 movie, 2012 and rise, and now mutant mayhem. He loves all of them.

His favourite turtle is most of the time mikey, he doesn’t like 12 raph at all at least in the early seasons, he LOVES rise raph, has mixed feelings about donnie for being purple and kind of an inventor- too similar to his father but he still enjoys them kind of.

I feel like, even as an adult, Mike can't shake the feeling of being a small, scared kid. Everyone around him is an authority to be wary of; a potential threat. I imagine that it's hard for him to interact with anyone on a peer level, because he doesn't put himself in the same 'adult' category as others he meets, not really, but he does recognize himself as older than actual children. He's been permanently boxed into the big brother role.
