This line killed me.
Part of me really feared Disney would Disney-fy the story and force some 'love at first sight' nonsense where it didn't happen. Something where Percy would be inexplicably smitten from day one or something.
But nope, this boy fully 100% clocked the way Annabeth has been nothing but unkind to him from their first interaction on.
Genuinely loving the fact that growth is demanded and expected. Can't wait to see it.
And, quite honestly, I also love that it was made Percy's choice. In the book, it was much more Annabeth's decision - she volunteered herself and... Percy didn't exactly have the broad circle of heroes to pick from, the way the show presented it. Here, it's Percy's choice - and it shows him putting genuine thought into his decision.
I love that we are getting to see Percy strategize and use his brains.

Y’know, I was thinking about like, before the Justice League forms in this au.
Just slowly rotating Bruce meeting Clark and Diana before they start the league, maybe even help each other out.
Need another heavy hitter? Time to call in Clark! Someone mind controls Superman again? Time to call Diana! Need information about some sort of artifact? Diana is there! Want weirdly specific information that no one should know or to get into a place they can’t? Time to call in Bruce!
Need a distraction? Boy does Bruce have you covered! Need diplomacy because this alien AI is pissed? Diana pulls on her training as a princess, warrior or not. Need to seem harmless- why, there’s a sunshine alien sweetheart with the same vibes as an overgrown puppy ready to help!
Honestly it’s a surprise no one has realized they know each other yet, but then again Bruce really embodies being a cryptid and just doesn’t sit still for any potential photos. Sure there are some with Wonder Woman and Superman visible with him hidden in the shadows, but no one outside of Gotham really knows about him.
Like I am imagining their friendship being both “two extroverts adopt this introvert” and “we’re coaxing this stray cat with its dozen of kittens over no matter what”
As always, I shall implore you to check out @phoenixcatch7 as this AU is a combo of my cryptid batfam au and theirs, called Possessed Doll

Okay, I was watching someone's VOD because I can't get enough Slay the Princess content and some people have gotten variations on routes I've never even seen before!!! I have somehow never seen the variation of The Razor where you start off with Hunted and Paranoid right away in Chapter 3, and I was not prepared for how funny Paranoid's unique dialogue lines are there.
If you choose to flirt with The Razor for your first option, while Hero and Hunted are like "I'd rather not":
(Paranoid pls)
And if you choose The Look option:
(PARANOID PLS)
(And I've definitely seen Hunted's line before but I always kinda forget how funny that is, too, when Hero is confused:
I think it's the matter-of-fact delivery of it, LOL)
Also, after she kills you, the part with the Cheated is hilarious too because, like, usually to me it looks like he's mostly really talking to Broken, but:
And his line when Cheated suggests we start stacking Voices isn't as funny per se but I do want it as personal reference because it's interesting to me:
Final note: I am actually pretty sure that outside The Adversary's route when the Narrator flat-out admits to you that if you think something it becomes real, and The Apotheosis's route where IIRC he says something similar to you about giving her power, Paranoid is the only one of the Voices who independently lands on the concept without any leading:
(I've seen this line before, too, but I do really like that little detail.)

I had a dream where it was DFO but Izuku was raised and molded specifically to be the kind of person who would appeal to All Might as a successor so that he would pick him and AFO could spy on him as well as set up a grand betrayal. However, Izuku knows that his father is evil and doesn’t want to be his pawn. Plus, All Might makes him believe in heroic ideals earnestly.
Eventually, Izuku lets it slip right before UA that he has an abusive parent, though can’t bring himself to confess the whole truth. All Might immediately offers to take Izuku in, which he accepts in a heart beat. But if he was too afraid to tell his caring hero mentor the truth, no way is he brave enough to stand up to his abusive villain father. So he makes up a lie about finding a way to get even closer to All Might in order to bring him down harder, which AFO accepts.
So now Izuku is stuck between a rock and a hard place: he has to keep feeding his father information about All Might otherwise AFO could kill him for insubordination, but he also doesn’t want the only person who’s shown him love in years to get hurt, let alone find out what’s really going on, lest that love dry up.

Hank with an Eldritch Horror Reader
Here's another thing I wrote two years back! It was an interesting concept which I really liked, so I actually really enjoyed writing this request!
Hank J Wimbleton was a grunt of many things, but not one to be scared unless he had a good reason to be. There were many things in this world he did not understand, you were one of them. Upon meeting you, his first instinct would have been to either fight or run away - who could blame him, it was all he knew. No matter how many times you reassured him that the very last thing you wanted to do was to harm him, he’d draw his weapon, uncertain of whether or not he should believe your words.
Once you show no resistance towards him whatsoever and simply restrain him using your powers or other methods, that’s when, thrashing around as much as he could, he would start listening. You may or may not have seen a grunt up close, but this was your chance to finally examine one. As you scrutinise him from every possible angle Hank realises that you were simply curious about his being and finally lowers weapon.
Your voice would likely hurt his head and freeze the blood in his veins, so you might have to resort to telepathy or speak through a marionette, if you can find one. Though, once Hank’s interest in you has been piqued, he’d be more than happy to find you one. A lot of people in Nevada seem to be redundant in the first place. Regarding telepathy: You will be able to have a two-way conversation with Hank like that, but, for the most part, he doesn’t think in words. Still, he can do so, if needed.
If you’re on the rather small side, he will make an effort to pick you up, or hold you, and bring you back to base. Depending on whether you can float or not, this might be rather difficult, but he’ll try. If you’re large, however, then he will simply “tell” you to follow him. As an eldritch being you could likely either change your form or scare away anyone in your path in the first place, so he doesn’t particularly worry about anyone being stupid enough to attack you.
Spend time with him, he’ll get used to you more and more and, eventually, grow a bond with you. Proud, he’ll show you to Doc so he can figure out what you are, but do not be fooled. Hank wants to know what you are to some degree too. Once comfortable with you and certain you won’t harm him, he’ll start observing you, touching you to some degree. See how you react, how you feel, how you are.
Despite your conversations being, for the most part, one-sided, Hank will ask you directly what you are and if you’re some form of eldritch deity. Since you’re an amicable creature he can’t exactly wrap his head around, it’s worth a try.
Although he would like to do so to some degree, he won’t take you with him on missions. It’s his way of saying “I care a great deal about you, I don’t want you to die or worse even if you are capable of defending yourself.” If you really insist on aiding him, he will let you, begrudgingly. But beware that he will have your back. In fact, having you around will give him a greater reason to fight and improve his overall performance. Though, it will also be a major stress factor to him if something were to happen to you, so choose wisely.
