DC Comics has announced a new Batman Black Label miniseries for mature readers. The Bat-Man: First Knight is a 3-issue Prestige Plus format miniseries from writer Dan Jurgens and artist Mike Perkins.

"The year is 1939. The world, still reeling from the horrors of the First World War, is on the brink of tipping into an even more gruesome conflict, as fascism is on the march—and gathering strength in America’s darkest corners. Against this backdrop, a series of violent murders has begun in Gotham, and the recent emergence of the mysterious vigilante known as The Bat-Man has the power brokers of the city living in fear of institutional collapse. All of the evidence in the murder investigation defies logic: the perpetrators are all men who died in the electric chair. But when the Bat-Man comes face to face with one of these sickening anomalies, he barely escapes with his life—throwing into question his ability to survive in a world that is brutally evolving around him!" Right so, I just played for about 2 hours and now it's midnight and since I am sick, bed.

But here are a few late night rambles for y'all

1. All of my Boyfriends roommates think Brice is not dead. My Boyfriend and I think he is because there was his actual body right there. Can Bruce be brought back from the dead? Have a feeling that's what Talia is up to.

2. Oh, right TALIA IS HERE. Which of course makes me go DAMIAN!? WHERE IS HE???

3. Not a fan of any of the voice actors so far. None of them are terrible or make me want to rip my hair out, but they don't really sell it as "this person's voice." Now, with that said--

4. Oh my GOSH they have nailed the character dialogue in this game. Loving the banter and the little things the characters say about this or that it's amazing!

5. Have only played as Nightwing so far. But he has been real fun to play as, let me tell you. Flips, kicks, I have had a little difficulty getting the dodge timing down but it hasn't been that much yet.

6. The game ENCOURAGES you to be stealthy which is AMAZING. Not all the time but when it comes to fighting the GCPD, you get no experience or salvage from them. But what does get you experience? Avoiding detection. Let's go!

7. IT'S SO PRETTY

That's it for now, but so far I am very much loving it. No spoilers please if you are playing through, I want to try and do this blind.

#god beatty writes a good bane thank you sir #i WILL put this on your dash five hundred times I am and always will be emo about it #headcanons #this doesn't seem like a big deal but you gotta listen to Bane tell Bats in Knightfall that he'll kill a man for looking at him wrong #you gotta know that bane is a reactive dog and surrounding him is the worst idea you can have #and you gotta see him not react and just let these kids go -- it's Growth #and he did it because he promised batman of all people that he would be better and that he would try to change and it's TToTT #It's SO GOOD #I am glad Secret Six carried over the growth but I'm so sad DC dropped this thread for Bane actively trying and learning to trust people #He really is just a pound puppy learning that pets aren't dangerous and not everyone is trying to kill you because that's all he's known!! #Leslie is like the very first person he's acknowledged a vulnerable emotion with out loud Gotham Knights makes me holler #anyway here's wonderwall
