it's been nearly 6 months since the ted lasso finale and im still pretty much:

#ted lasso #messing with us tedbecca shippers and giving rebecca some rando...ruining a canon ship...trying to girl boss a character-#-who you didn't even let have her own work plot when it was time...#making two men who had a beautiful relationship growth fight last minute over said girlboss and making them grossly misogynistic #leaving one of your characters in an ab*s*ve relationship was an awful woman and all the mentioned ab*s*ve moments were-#-just for sh*ts and giggles #ohhh and also making it mandatory to forgive even the sh*tty people when it's ok not to #taking your lead away from a place he was most stable and maybe or maybe not having him get back with his ex who told him he was too much..#-got with their therapist (and you never dig deep into that mess) and maybe cheated...#yes to be with his son but there were options for him to stay in london and bring his kid and ex so they could both parent or show a-#representation of these kind of situations and maybe have henry living with each parent 6 months each and getting the best of both worlds #also your boss is more rich than she started and was providing for you your kid and ex #instead we get ted only deciding to leave after his mother told him his kid missed him (as if that isn't obvious) such a weak way to go-#-about it and tbh ted leaving his kid far away to go to london instead of like half an hour way is kind of stupid all round really #they wanted a mary poppins situation except mary poppins made some roots of her own and had connections so it didn'twork #yeah i am still...feeling a lot

will says that el has a book of letters from him because he’s just pointing out that they kept in contact regularly whereas he and mike didn’t but somehow mike interprets that as if will was implying there should be something romantic between them too and it stumps will bc that’s not what he meant at all and he doesn’t realize yet why mike is actually so mad or who he’s mad at, and while we clown mike for being oblivious i think will is oblivious too bc this isn’t the first time mike’s done that and yet. will doesn’t question it. he never does and they never talk about it. he just continues with what he’s saying about how they used to be best friends. they never talk about the fact that when will fights to salvage their friendship mike talks about it as if it was more than what it was and as if continuing as they were would get between his relationship with eleven. which implies that he himself feels that their relationship is inappropriate if he wants to date eleven concurrently and explains why it’s the only friendship within the party that seriously falls apart and why will is the only party member that he completely changes his behavior n actions towards and why he’s the only party member that he no longer touches once he dates eleven. which again also explains why after they start dating it’s only when eleven isn’t around that he allows a softer, more open and present mike to reappear around will. it’s just like. why would he do any of that if he’s not projecting? will is literally the one with a canonically confirmed interest in him and yet he’s mad at the roller rink because will is ignoring him [or so he thought at that point]. he’s not mad that eleven lied. he’s not mad at what those bullies did to her. he’s mad that will didn’t talk to him. he’s so mad and hurt by will that he doesn’t even console his girlfriend who was encircled, taunted, and had a milkshake thrown on her all on tape. he stays by will’s side despite everything, even when she’s fidgeting and crying to the side of them. to top it off he even makes a passive aggressive bitchy little comment at dinner afterward because he’s still. mad. at. will. will is the one that ruined his day. not those bullies being cruel to el, but will. it clouds his vision so much that he can’t even pretend or begin to attempt to entertain the idea of being there for her when she so clearly needs him. how does anyone fucking watch any of that and not get what’s going on. #I have so many thoughts on this episode #I like what they’re doing with Carol and Brad and Rachel and Dana #The standout characters of this season tbh which I like a lot- I’m glad they’re focusing on previously underrepresented characters #Especially Rachel and Dana! I’m happy that Rachel is being moved away from just kinda being a one note “woke girl” stereotype and I’m glad #Dana is getting more development as a character rather than just being there to react to the other characters #I also love the development of Dana and Poppy this episode! I love how Danny did that! Poppy’s initial resistance to Dana bc she feels #Threatened by her and like she needs to stick to Hera #But then actually being able to admit that she likes Dana’s game and afterwards feeling really bad about herself and breaking down bc she #Had to admit that the thing she was working on just wasn’t that fun #And that she was just following in Ian’s footsteps because she wanted to feel the way he does about MQ #and Dana being the one to pull her away from wanting to just. #sorry i remembered hidden inventory arc n im insane about them again :(( SAD LITTLE GAY PEOPLE IN MY PHONE!!!#nah but it just...OUGHHH they make me so upset!!!#its just they way they start out immediately understanding each other bc gojo has been alone on a pedestal basically his entire life+#but then he meets geto who treats him like a normal dude!!! not a weapon!!! and just watching them annoy each other as normal teens +#makes me emotional bc theres so much cruelty and just DEATH in their world but at the least they have each other to get through it!!!#theyre the strongest together after all right!!! then toji happens and gojo starts to perfect his abilities with him automating infinity #and then the gap between the two just gets wider and wider...until the final confrontation where the one who understood gojo all this time #not only leaves him but calls him arrogant at the same time showing gojo the ONLY person who he though understood just..doesnt+#and hes left alone again in the same place he was years ago...AND OUGHHHHH #idk i watched a video analysis of hidden inventory where the guy said geto was just as egotistical as gojo except in having a savior comple #and tbh i never though of that before!! but looking back it makes sense with how he spoke to riko + the way he slaughtered the whole villag #to not just save the girls but also prove to himself that he could make the world he wanted #the guy in the video put it basically that since the gap between gojo and geto was so wide geto would rather be the best villain+#than second best hero and that makes a lot of sense since his ideals/goals as a villain go against his usual rational behavior #he KNOWS its probably impossible (for him at least it wouldnt be for gojo which he admits) but he has to do it for himself #sorry im rambling but AHHHHHH how tf did gege write this??? its such a small part of the story but its arguably the catalyst for everything #aside from plot wise it simply just is impactful emotionally! gege had to go thru a toxic codependent homoerotic friendship to write this+#theres just no other way #jjk #jujustu kaisen #gojo satoru #geto suguru #satosugu

#i just finished watching the atla live action #as an avatar fan #I thought it was a wonderful adaptation!#the original is still the best #but this live action was still great #(esp when compared to that... OTHER live action)#i only had two real complaints #1. i didn't like how Bumi's intro was handled #it would've been way better if they stuck to revealing him as Aang's friend AFTER the fight tbh #like they did in the original #they didn't take advantage of the foreshadowing #instead he was just kinda like “yep i'm your childhood friend Bumi btw you're an asshole” right off the bat #2. it was too short 😭#c'mon i binged that shit in two days #even though they were ~1hr long #8 episodes wasn't enough #bonus mini complaint: I needed more Momo and Appa #but all in all #i was very impressed with how much ground they were still able to cover in such a condensed format #the casting was A+++#the references were done very tastefully #the things they did change didn't detract from the show at all #and in some ways added to it #it made me just as emotional as the original #anyways... eagerly waiting for season 2 #(it's happening... right??)#def excited to see my girl Toph #tragic clowning #avatar the last airbender #atla live action

i think in an ideal world, if dan humphrey wasn't a manipulative piece of shit who couldn't decide if he hated the people he was surrounded by or wanted to be him, he and blair would've been the otp. like he would bring her down a healthy bit and she would elevate him a healthy bit. they were good together until dan started humphreying. im pissed off bc i wanted to see blair win and dan would've been good for her especially if she hadn't lost her child or they had another tgt like come on !!
