It looks slightly better in person!
Decided not to add lashes out of fear of needing to redo the entire eye. Maybe one day?
A few people irl want to buy it so thinking about making prints. Two of them are fighting for og rights. Oops.

The Girl With The Pearl Earring is a singular painting in Vermeer’s work. What is today Vermeer’s most famous work had once long been forgotten. The oil on canvas was only rediscovered in 1881 when art collector Arnoldus Andries des Tombe bought it at an auction and donated the portrait to the Mauritshuis in the Hague after his death.
The Procuress, 1656, by Johannes Vermeer
View of Delft, 1660, by Johannes Vermeer
Vermeer’s works were mainly female portraits, except for two urban landscapes, as well as two allegories. He drew inspiration from the daily life of Dutch society, especially the middle class of the 17th century. Vermeer’s View of Delft is probably the most memorable cityscape in 17th-century art. It is not a typical landscape with rural motifs, it rather shows an outdoor sight of the town.
The Milkmaid, 1660 by Johannes Vermeer
Vermeer was a master at using light to enhance the mood and character of his images. Here, for example, he differentiated light on the rear wall to enhance the figure's three-dimensionality. He juxtaposed the bright yellow of the milkmaid's right shoulder to the shaded portion of the wall, while placing her shaded left shoulder against a bright backdrop. He then painted a white contour line along this shoulder to accentuate the figure's strong silhouette.
The Art of Painting, 1668 by Johannes Vermeer
The Art of Painting (Dutch: Allegorie op de schilderkunst), also known as The Allegory of Painting, or Painter in his Studio.
Many art historians think that it is an allegory of painting, hence the alternative title of the painting. Its composition and iconography make it the most complex Vermeer work of all. After Vermeer's Christ in the House of Martha and Mary and The Procuress it is his largest work.
