"Spencer, seriously....this is...this is too much."

Spencer looked down at his hands, a slightly blush tinging his cheeks. It was your one year anniversary. A whole year of being married to your best friend. And Spencer had gone all out with his gift.

"How the hell did you get this Spence?"

"I uh, well. It took a little bit of time but..."

"Actually." You cut him off and placed the book down on the table. "I don't want to know. Don't tell me. I fear I'll kill you if I find out the truth Spencer."

You launched yourself across the couch and wrapped your arms tightly around him. It was the most perfect gift on the planet.

"Actually." He whispered in your ear. "If you look over at the book case, I managed to get the whole set. All six of them."

Spencer didn't even feel you leave his arms as you left off the couch and rammed your shin right into the coffee table.

"Shit. Shit. I'm fine. It's fine."

Nothing could stop you. You kept moving, ignoring the pain on your shin as you stopped in front of the book case he was referring to.

When you and Spencer had bought a house six months ago, you both realized that one of the rooms would have to become a library so that you both would be able to store the sheer amount of books you had. It was completely unsurprising when you both realized that you had too many books for just one room, so the library quickly became a place for all of your favorite books, novels, collections; while the other bookcases around the house were filled with assorted titles.

What Spencer was referring to was the bookcase next to the fire place. It's where you had kept all of your multiple first editions. Both you and Spencer were doctors, it was how you had met in the first place. You were attending Harvard, obtaining your Ph.D in Literature with a focus in Renaissance and Early Modern Literature. Spencer was at MIT, four minutes down the road, obtaining his Ph.D in Engineering.

The both of you had come to a consensus to not buy one another books, unless it was a special occasion. Part of this was because of the fact that you were starting to run out of room. The other part was because you were starting to run out of specific books you wanted. The ones you had started truly collecting were first, or second, editions of novels where things would start costing thousands of dollars.

Which is why you completely ignored the blood slowly trickling down your leg, and stared in complete shock at the new edition to your ever growing Shakespeare collection.

"Spencer. You found a full set of Shakespeare's work with Pope's introduction, noted, and critiques. I have been saving up for these for years...please tell me you didn't spend this much money on me Spencer this is..."

Spencer walked back into the library with the first aid kit you both kept under the sink in the bathroom. He watched you completely ignore the injury on your leg, just so you could go and see what he had gotten you.

"They're in such good condition too." You reached out and pulled one of them off the shelf, feeling the leather beneath your fingers. "Spence--oh!"

You had turned around and almost walked him in the head with the book. He had kneeled down and started to wipe of the blood that was trailing down your shin.

"Shit Spence, are you okay?" You placed a hand on his head while he placed a band aid on the cut.

"I'm fine honey. Are you okay?"

"I am more than okay." You started to bounce on the balls of your feet as you remembered the fact that Spencer had just bought one of your dream collector's items.

He stood up and kissed you on the head.

"Spencer you don't understand. This is fucking incredible. I mean--"

You continued to ramble, not really paying any mind to Spencer as he sat down on the chair across from where you were. His eyes were filled with light as you flitted through pages, searching for quotes to tell him about, or sharing your opinions on Pope's opinions, or on Pope's Essay on Criticism, and how he almost completely contradicts himself with his comments on Shakespeare and his plays.

He could sit and listen to you talk for hour and hours. And he gladly was about to do so.

He was mesmerized the second he saw you using your arms to move yourself along the short distance from the vehicle you came from into Luda Mae's shop, he's never laid eyes on someone with a mobility aid ! (other than crutches)

Wants to meet you but is far too shy.

Luda mae notices and she gives him a little nudge (Older women got insane matchmaking skills I swear)

He nervously walked up to you for the first time and was blushing profusely, though you couldn't tell cus of his mask. Poor boy couldn't even get any words out.

When Luda introduces him he feels like he might melt !! He's a precious man, albeit murderous.

After your friends get brutally murdered, and you're chained up in the basement, Tommy begs Luda and Charlie to keep you. Luda of course says yes, but Hoyt takes a bit more convincing.

Once you're a bit more warmed up to the place, you're allowed to move around freely and interact with the objects in the household.

They don't really bother with trying to keep you tied nowhere, how are you gonna escape? Ru N ?

Once you reciprocate Tommy's love, he doesn't leave you alone incase you get hurt trying to push yourself somewhere. Before, he was keeping his distance due to not wanting to scare you.

Eventually you find yourself infatuated with him, and the house he lives, even the lifestyle they live, as long as Tommy is there, you love every second of whatever you're doing.

Snuggles are what consists of your nightly routine with this big man, he's cuddle material just look at him <33

Once you and monty got stuck in the hallway cus you both thought you could fit thru at the same time. Charlie pointed and laughed while Tommy was frantically trying to loosen the tightly wedged together chairs. Luda wasn't there to record </3

Once you found yourself in Tommy's lap and needing to pee but you didn't have your chair working due to an issue with the wheel, so Tommy carried you to the washroom !! He's thoughtful, and he carries you out when you're done.

No matter how embarrassed you are, he will never think less of you because of your wheelchair.

very random BUT what do you think the tlh/tid gangs' fave games to play on a board game night would be?

I'm going to pretend this is a modern AU because I don't know enough early 1900s board games to carry it. I Googled it and am still not sure. Though apparently Monopoly was invented in 1904 and this would be the funniest drabble in the entire universe.

James and Cordelia are obvious chess girliepops. I think Alastair is, too, because surely he played with Cordelia as kids.

I think all of the Merry Thieves would really like Clue. Christopher is the best at it. Matthew is the worst.

Matthew loves and is good at Mouse Trap.

Matthew likes Pictionary but is terrible at it.

Christopher, Grace, and Ari are excellent at Pictionary. This is because Ari is good at art and Gracetopher both are phenomenal at creating elaborate blueprints, which is a skill that comes in handy here.

Thomas and Alastair actually do like Monopoly and have come up with elaborate ways to collaborate and cheat. Their favorite is switching hotels around on the board. If people notice, no one can prove it was them. They also share their money and when one of them wins, they both call it their win.

Matthew also cheats at Monopoly, but he steals the money from the dealer (if he can't be the dealer himself, which Alastair won't let him.) So far, no one has noticed. He wears that as a badge of pride, but the inability to brag about it wears at him. He tries to enlist Anna to help him eventually, and she readily agrees. They have a great time together, but Anna is clear that she will throw him under the bus if they're caught, LOL.

Cordelia also cheats, but not at Monopoly. At LIFE. She rigs the spinner before her turn by slipping a tiny earring into the board where she wants it to be. Then, when everyone else is distracted, James removes it for her. Like Thomas and Alastair, a win for either of them is a win for both.

having some thoughts abt durge/shadowheart romance, spoilers below

to start with i wasnt really expecting this to go well, id heard spoilers that indicated shar was gonna be a little bitch abt it but that kinda worked for the story i wanted to tell - shadowheart and my durge lyss making each other worse, reinforcing their separate indoctrinations, etc etc. women's wrongs power couple would have been nice, but i was also pretty interesting in the slow tragedy of two women who almost escaped their worst impulses, that the love you wished would give them the strength to leave instead gave them the strength to stay and then rotted the happiness out of itself.

i know ive seen other people talk with disappointment about how theres no bonding over your mutual amnesia and that also sucks but man. what really gets me is the dissonance.

like, shadowheart is sooo pissy about lyss killing a selunite cleric, subjecting the harpers to shar's shadowcurse. like, yeah, the bhaalspawn enjoys the feast of death or whatever, but girliepop, that was as much a sharran win as a bhaalist one.

but yk, fine, fine, that is technically before she commits herself to becoming a dark justiciar by killing the nightsong, theres leeway there.

so why is even a dark justiciar shadowheart so judgemental abt killing investigator valeria?? what, babygirl, makes this somehow worse than killing dame aylin??? it is literally the same thing. im just as destined and chosen by bhaal as you are by shar, and we both are spilling celestial blood in an unholy consecration of that destiny. what the fuck.

and like, i get that a huge part of shadowhearts narrative arc comes from her cognitive dissonance, her desire to not be Like That competing with the fact that being Like That is exactly what shar demands. but like. it feels like if shes on the dark justiciar path, there should be more space for her to recognize the parallels. especially when last light was a p prime example that our goals can align.

idk theres such frustrating tonal whiplash constantly, as sharran shadowheart is virtually indistinguishable from selunite shadowheart in how she responds to dark urge accepting bhaal :/

it made the cutscene after house of grief a bit funny. "hope youre not trying to steal shar's favor from me." "of course i am. im much better at wickedness than you." well, thats for damned certain.

"Not much, whachu doin here?" She asked. Not even knowing why she was speaking with her father in the first place.

"Chillin', but i was thinking bout goin home, an old fart like me has no rights to be at a party full of young horny people! Thats against the rules." He said sounding older than ever.

"Gonna take weather with me doe, hes old too. im afraid his old crusty bones will fall apart if he isnt careful enough" Joutaro added.

"Oh" exclaimed Jelean, a sour face painted on her face 👀🦷🦷😈.

"You sound like you want me gone daughter!!" Jorato said with a bitter tone😠😠.

"NO FATHER i would never do such a thing, i am also afraid that your old bones will fall apart."

JOTERO left with weather report to do old man stuff at his home. JOLENA was glad that her old man was taking care of himself, she really wouldnt want to clean up his crusty dusty musty bones if he died.

Jolenaen continued being gay and dancing to the trash music playing on the speakers..

But then out of nowhere a group of girlies swarmed her. They were everywhere clawing at her like cats claw de... The thing... What do u call it?... The thing on the window.

IT DOESN'T MATTER OK.

She did not understand what was going on. When a group of girlies swarm her like this, they usually want to get closer to her. But not now. They were asking questions about her father.

They were asking for his number and stuff. She didnt know why as she didnt have the dilf eye. .

She shooed them away, there was no way she was going to give them the number of her gayass father. (She did not know he was a gayass)

She was going furious as some of the girliepops returned trying their luck again. But to no avail. Jolena was very stubborn and was not planning on leaking the personal details of her fathers credit card number to some random lady.

She then went and commited a few war crimes, just to spice up the night. She was now wanted in 13 European countries.

But then the girliers returned, she had no way to fight them and she succumbed to their voices squeaking like the goddamn rubber chickens.

Back at jootas house he was hitting that evil vvizard vveed with wes "weather report" bluemarine.

They were both fucked up on the vveed. If jolana figured out he was doing this behind her back she would probably take and crumple him like a piece of paper. Then smoke him like he was doing with the vveed right now.

Out of nowhere Wes said " hey džotaro my dude, what about the funny... will we commit the funny today??"

"Oh, of course we will my evil vveather vvizard!"

There was silence for a moment, then joteroad continued "Thats why i took you here in the first place!"

"Ok then... So uh.. when will we start😳😳"

obligatory Chase Redford answer. Does he deserve this placement? based on canon probably not but I was obsessed and I have a lot of fun with my own fanon of him. Same idea with Alistair tbf.

More legitimate though out answer? Probably Cerise or Maddie? They get the screen time deserving of favoured spot. Cerise has a good arc and had a lot of potential. Maddie screen time just never misses lol.

🤮 least favourite character?

Easy pick on Headmaster Grimm. Both because he's a dickhead but also in canon I just don't think he even lives up to his full potential? Like he's decently intimidating and pretty bad, but then they just let him off? Hate that man should have lost his job. As character his arc would have benefited from some fuckin consequences

of the students I'm saying Crystal. The hate defo rubbed off from gummy lol but also wtf was her character she didn't even go well with her story origins what happened.

Hard because yknow, most of them end up rebel by the end there. ANYWAYS if Briar counts which she doesn't I pick her. She's technically royal but I like her for all the reasons that make her a rebel. her arc with the book, rejecting her future, snapping at Apple. God Briar had so much potential and even besides that she's just a genuinely fun character <33

Faybelle pissed me the hell off sometimes but by god I respect her commitment to being a bad bitch. I love a character who is unapologetically mean, knows they're mean, and revels in it. I think having an evil destined character like Raven but who really was into it was such a good narrative choice.

Tough choice, gonna say maybe... Daring? If they hadn't ruined his character in epic winter he was honestly jus ta very fun character but also the moments of genuine care for the people around him. idk he has high himbo energy and I respect that. Is he self centered? yea but not nearly to the extent epic winter seemed to think. His date with Lizzie? his respect for Cerise? his concern and care for Apple? sibling moments with Daring and Darling? this man had fuckin layers and i think he's neat

💜 top 3 rebels?

Maddie my girliepop you never miss not in canon not in Gummys rewrite which should be canon, literally never a miss with Maddie I think she deserves top spot

Cerise I respect. She had a lot of potentially and what they did end up doing was very good fun. One of the characters who I think had the most interesting relationship with the rebels because she was almost kind of born to rebel. Her parents rebelled, she by product of them had one of the most interesting relationship with the conflict. She's also just a fun character.

Darling the wlw rep we fuckin needed. I'm counting her as a rebel because i think she is? She technically seems inline with her "true" destiny but she acts under the assumption she is going off book and is chill as hell with the other rebels. I'm counting her. Anyways, interesting character, wlw rep, fantastic for the plot whenever she's around. Also feeding my sibling dynamics quota because all fanon with her and her brothers in great (go read Gummy rewrite has some fantastic charming siblings stuff)

Love Alistair, but mostly my own characterization. Kitty is great and i appreciate her arc with her mom, but we get so much screen time with Maddie and she's such a good character you just can't help but love her! Maddie also has a hat-tastic characterization in gumjesters rewrite so yknow <33 doesn't hurt
