summary: you’re the daughter of bruce banner and natasha romanoff. what happens when tony recruits a new avenger named Peter Parker?
warnings: mild language
word count: 2389

Being the daughter of Bruce Banner and Natasha Romanoff wasn’t easy. You felt overwhelmed at times, having high expectations from everyone. Both your parents being an avenger meant that maybe you would be one too. But you were only a teenager with the IQ of 164 and could break a guy’s neck half your size. You once solved a Rubik's cube with a blind fold in under a minute. You were a black belt by age nine and were home schooled at the avengers tower where you lived since you were a kid.
You were by far the youngest one living in the tower which you enjoyed. You would be lying to yourself if admitted that you liked the attention. Everyone being impressed with your skills at your age. How great your parents were doing for raising you. Getting to stay up for hours working in the lab with your father.
That was by far your favorite thing to do. You had a special bond with your dad that you couldn’t explain. Yeah he was the Hulk which was cool and all but the part you liked about him was Bruce. The genius with the PHD’s. It was like you two had your own nerd language no one else understood. Not even your mother or even Tony Stark could decipher it. You practiced morse code, sharing inside jokes.
And your mom. She was like your best friend. Mostly because you didn’t have any your age in the tower to hang out with and you didn’t go out much. You could tell her anything, even trying to explain your secret language with your dad but she quickly gave up trying to understand it. With her, she was the best mom a mom could be. You trusted her with your life. She taught you everything you knew about self defense. Your mother was a badass and you hoped to only be half as good as her. When you weren’t in the labs with your father or Mr. Stark, you with you mom and Wanda. Being the only ladies in the tower, you three became quite the trio.
You have sleepovers at least once a week. Wanda was like an aunt to you. She showed off her powers and you were in complete awe, trying to wrap your head around it but you couldn’t. Something you did keep to yourself was the jealousy. You didn’t have powers. But you wish you did. Having a high IQ and knowing how to fight weren’t exactly super powers.
“That is so cool.” you breathed in aw during a sleepover. Wanda’s red energy glowed around her hand, her eyes a shade of ruby red. “I still can’t understand it.” you chuckled.
“Me neither.” Wanda admitted.
Nat just smiled as she was braiding your hair in a French braid. “So,” she quipped, wanting to change the subject. “I hear we might be getting a new team mate here soon.
Your eyes perked up, moving your head. Nat scolded with her narrowed eyes since she was still braiding. “Really? Oh sorry.” You turned back so she could finish.
“Yeah. Tony told me. Sounds about your age, a boy.”
Wanda cooed and you rolled your eyes. “Oh hush. So what?”
“He could be your boyfriend!” Wanda said excitedly.
“Please, I’m too busy to be infatuated with a boy right now.” you said, waving off her comment.
“Okay. maybe not a boyfriend but you could use a friend your age to hang out with.” your mother pointed out.
“I’m too mature for kids my age.” you bragged.
“Good god you sound like your father.” your mother groaned making you and Wanda laugh.
“Anyways he’s coming over tomorrow.”
“When?” you asked.
“Why does it matter? You’re too mature for them remember?” Wanda teased with a giggle.
You gave her a dull look. “I want to make sure I won’t be busy when he’s here, that’s why.”
“Suuure.” she sang.
You sighed. “This is already annoying.”
“We’re just teasing.” your mother said, patting your shoulder to let you know your braid was finished. You picked up the mirror to admire her work, smiling. “Thanks, Mom.”
“Welcome, baby.” She kissed your cheek, making you giggle.
***
The sleepover ended and you found yourself tossing and turning, wondering about this possible new avenger recruiter. Was he a boy like your mother said? Was he cute? You had no idea and it was driving you crazy. You couldn’t sleep.
You realized sleep wasn’t happening. It was well after midnight. Normally you would be in the lab right now working on a formula or something. You sighed and slipped on your robes and slippers, tying it around your waist. You went to the kitchen to get yourself a hot cup of tea then made your way to the labs. It was normal for you to be around this around so you wouldn’t startle anyone.
You paused when you saw the light underneath the door to the labs. Who else would be there this late? You quietly opened the door to see Tony. Figures.
“Might as well come in.” Tony said, startling you.
“Sorry.” you said, closing the door behind you.
He looked over at you from his hologram, floating in front of him. “Couldn’t sleep?” he asked.
“No.” you said before taking a sip of tea. “Would have made you some if I knew you were down here.” you shrugged.
“It’s okay, I’m not offended.” He went back to the hologram, clicking on a push pin repeatedly, his arms crossed over his chest.
“What are you looking at, Mr. Stark?”
“A profile.” he said.
You stepped closer, getting a better look.
“Of who?”
“A possible recruit. Surely your mother told you by now.”
“Yeah she did.” you said with an airy chuckle. “Not much though.”
“His name is Peter. Peter Parker.” Tony said. He touched the hologram, revealing a photo.
“Why him?” you asked, rather curious to know the answer.
“He has powers I haven’t seen before. Calls himself Spider-Man. He’s on youtube.” Tony played with the hologram to pull up the video. He pressed play and you watched in aw.
“Whoa.” you said, impressed. “How old is he?”
“Your age.” Tony replied. “Fifteen.”
“A fifteen year old did that?” you asked, referring to him lifting up a two ton truck.
“Yup. From what I understand, he has spider-like powers. He has super strength, travel with this web like stuff and wears a onesie.”
“A onesie?” You looked more closely, paying more attention to the suit he was wearing in the video. Blue sweats, red hoes and a matching jacket and a red mask goggles.
“Obviously he doesn’t want his identity to be found out.” you observed.
Tony nodded. “I started a prototype suit for him. No avenger is gonna get caught in that onesie.”
“A prototype? You mean like a suit?” A touch of jealousy ignited in you. All these years, Tony never brought up the idea to make you a suit but he makes one for this new kid who hasn’t even been in the tower yet? You already began to resent Peter Parker.
Sleep evaded you that night. You decided fuck it, and not worry too much about Peter. You might have been more of a friendly mood if you slept more than a couple hours the night before but alas, a false smile will have to do. You took a shower and went to the kitchen to get something to eat.
“There she is,” your mother greeted.
You gave her a lazy wave of your hand.
“Rough night?” she smirked into her cup.
“You can say that.” You yawned as you poured your mug of coffee. You rubbed your eyes, not bothering to put any makeup on earlier that morning.
“You know Peter is coming over today.” she said.
“I know.” You went to make your breakfast, putting a bagel in the toaster and getting some eggs.
“So you’re just...not gonna dress up at all?” she asked.
“No,” you spoke, your back to her as you stood at the stove.
Nat chuckled. “I see what you’re doing.”
“I’m not doing anything.” “You’re saving yourself from future heartbreak.” your mother continued. “So you’re already building up a wall.”
“Mom,” you whined. “Please. I don’t have the energy for this.”
“Okay, I’m just saying. You could use a friend.”
“I don’t want any friends.” you lied.
“Oh, please.”
“And this is the kitchen!” you heard Tony’s voice say from down the hall.
“Oh great.” you muttered, rolling your eyes.
“It’s bigger than my apartment.” a new voice spoke who must have been Peter.
They came into view, Tony smiling. “Ah! And here are two teammates! Natasha Romanoff and her daughter, y/n.”
“Whoa, you’re black widow.” Peter beamed at your mother.
Your mother smiled, giving a small wave. “The one and only.”
Peter turned to you. “Nice to meet you, I’m Peter.” He offered his hand but you focused on your eggs that you were making.
“Uh, yeah.” you said. You could practically see your mother’s eye roll from the back of your head. “Nice to meet you.”
Peter awkwardly lowered his arm, glancing over at Tony who shrugged.
“Want breakfast?” Tony asked.
“Ah thanks but I already ate.” Peter said.
“Surely a growing young man like you could use a snack.” your mother spoke up.
Peter chuckled. “Guess I can eat.”
You had to fight the groan that so badly wanted to escape your lips. “I’m gonna eat in my room. I have homework.” you lied. You hastily finished making your breakfast, taking it to your room.
“Hey, wait up!”
This time you did groan, seeing Peter chase after you. “What?” you said annoyingly.
“Did I do something?” he asked, confused.
“What do you mean?”
“I kinda got the vibe that you didn’t like me back there.” Peter explained.
“And?”
Peter paused, looking back and forth. “And, I wanna know why?”
“I don’t have to explain anything to you. Now if you don’t mind, I wanna eat my food before it gets cold.”
You left Peter, stunned and confused. It felt good as you smirked yourself.
“What happened?” Nat asked as Peter returned to the kitchen.
“Uh, I have no idea.” he admitted. “She doesn’t like me.”
Tony scoffed. “What? How could she not like you?”
He shrugged. “I don’t know.”
Nat rolled her eyes. “Boys are so dumb.” she murmured.
“I heard that.” Tony replied.
“You were supposed to.”
“You’re her mom, what did I do wrong?” Peter asked Nat.
She sighed. “You didn’t do anything wrong, sweetie. She’s just stubborn and not used to being with teenagers her age.
“Oh.”
“Just give her time, she’ll warm up to you eventually.”
You groaned to yourself, trying to eat your breakfast. That didn’t go like you wanted. You weren’t ready to meet him. By that you meant, you were hoping you’d never meet him.
“Honey, it’s me. Mind letting me in?” your mother spoke.
“Fine. It’s open.”
Nat stepped in your room, closing the door behind you. She stood awkwardly in your room. “So, uh, that went well.” “Mom.” you whined again. “I had no idea I was gonna meet him then. I was caught off guard.”
“You still could have been nicer to him.”
“Mom, please. I don’t need to be friends with him.”
“Least be mutual, respectful. He asked me if he did something wrong when you left, which he didn’t. I can tell he’s a good kid and you know I have good instincts on reading people.”
“Yeah, I know. I just...I’m scared.” you admitted. Something you would only admit to your mother.
She joined you on your bed, resting a hand on your thigh. “I know honey but you can’t just ignore him. He might be a part of the team so you might as well be friends.”
You sighed. “I was kinda rude wasn’t I?”
“Yeah.” your mother said.
You scolded at her making her laugh. “I’ll apologize when I see him again, okay?”
She patted your leg. “That’s my girl.”
Nat left you be with your thoughts. You finished your breakfast and went back to the kitchen to wash out your dishes. Tony was there but no Peter.
“Hey, Mr. Stark, where’s Peter?” you asked.
“Oh, he left.”
“What?”
“He said something about you not liking him not made him wanna join the team.”
Your jaw dropped. “Wait what?”
“Yeah, I even tried to bribe with him a billion dollars but it wasn’t good enough. You might still be able to catch him.” He pointed at the glass that was the front of the building.
You rushed downstairs, almost tripping.
You saw Happy in the driverseat of a limo, about to pull off.
“No wait!” you shouted.
Happy looked over at you and stopped the vehicle. “Is Peter here?” you asked him.
“Yeah, in the back.”
You went over to the back of the limo, knocking. The window rolled down, revealing Peter. “Oh it’s you.” he said.
“Yeah. Uh why are you leaving?”
“Well I didn’t feel very welcomed. Didn’t see the point of staying if no one liked me.” he shrugged.
You sighed. “Look, I’m sorry I was a bitch. But you shouldn’t leave.”
“You weren’t a bitch.” Peter said.
“I kinda was. And it wasn’t anything you did. I’m just not around people my age…” you shrugged.
Peter looked at you with soft brown eyes. He was like a puppy. “You said you had homework...but I never saw you at school before?”
“I’m homeschooled.” you explained. “See what I mean?”
Peter smiled just a bit. It was cute. “I also have a high IQ. Makes social interaction tricky sometimes.” you admitted.
“How high?” he asked.
“A hundred and sixty-four.” you said.
Peter stared at you.
“So please...don’t leave just because I was rude. I can tell Mr. Stark likes you and that’s not an everyday thing.”
“You really think I should stay?”
You nodded. “I saw you on youtube. Thought you were pretty cool...Spider-Man.”
He chuckled and maybe blushed? “Uh thanks.”
“So...will you stay?” you asked, still unsure if you changed his mind or not.
“I will...on one condition.”
“Yeah?”
“We become friends.” Peter grinned.
You smiled, playfully rolling your eyes. “Okay fine. You drive a hard bargain, Peter Parker.”

hot takes continued
here we go. season 12 episode 12.
so. it’s time to chit chat about drag race. if u dont like my opinions sry.
this is gonna get bigger than one episode or one season. this is meta drag race.
but first i guess the episode. right. so. obviously it was a “musical” so obviously i wanted to see jan sing and obviously she did not. I do think that this challenge [not necessarily placed in this episode] would have been a great time to do a like returning queens. but i digress.
i think that it was a little muddled. like it wasn't like any of the “girl group” numbers where it’s just the verse and chorus. all of the verses were placed in different spots throughout the show. I also think it’s ironic that this whole episode is to promote this live vegas show which is obviously not happening right now. but alas.
i agree with bob in that i liked jackie’s verse the best.
i did not love gigi’s outfit in the challenge. you couldn't make out the heart as easily bc the red was all the same color. I also think the material used was too chunky- it was quilted. i would have rather had the heart be quilted, not have a corset underneath it, and have the rest of the top part not be quilted. i thought it was a good concept but i would have preferred different #choices. i also would have rather the hair been straight instead of curled.
i did not have a huge issue w crystal’s orange and green outfit. i also appreciated the callback stars and stripes hair. though maybe not together?
jaida was good as per usual. i want her to win, but we will get to that later.
also let us note the basketball wives hair that made a comeback [gigi, jackie]
runway time.
crystal and ******’s outfits did not fit the way i wanted them too, and the problems were both in the hips. when i saw them i thought the hips should be exaggerated, but instead they both looked weirdly deflated. and crystal’s torso section could have been brought in. [i did see on instagram that the person who made crystal’s look [casey caldwell who is a nyc based designer, works w a lot of neoprene/thick materials- just look up on instagram caseyyalater] actually made it for dragcon and crystal bought it right there, so it wasn’t tailored]
in the dior v dior battle, i thought gigi won. jackie’s dress was just i think a little too large [not in terms of tailoring, in terms of diameter] but it was very jackie
gigi said that her outfit was quintessential gigi, which i think it interesting bc if you look up showgirls performances, it very much is. however in terms of the character portrayed on drag race i didn’t think it was. it was very well made, etc. but it just didn’t fit the “perfectionist trope” of the show.
jaida is once again wearing a gown with a presequinned fabric, which i am not mad at. it is quintessential jaida.
critiques.
again ooh we have to nitpick bc we accidentally cast too many winners on this season blah blah blah. i was not a fan of when they said oh well we will have to look at report cards. as if they didnt intentionally load up gigi and ****** with wins at the start of the show.
and then it’s like oh well jackie and crystal have to lip sync blah blah blah. and you know that jackie is going home. bc the judges absolutely love crystal, all because of that mullet.
to quote bob “I used to be really upset at queens who won the judges with their personality” and that is still mostly true for me. i don’t think her placement is unjust or whatever, but like if ru didn’t like the mullet, she would not have been given the confidence boost to turn her trajectory around, compared to jackie and widow and jan, who did most things right but just were not rupaul’s fave, and must have had a much more difficult time mentally on the show.
and FWIW heidi falls into this category as well. race chaser i think said it - all of her success comes from ru’s ideas. and being naturally funny and charismatic and having ru like you as a person is a huge gift and huge talent, but the inability to wrangle it...  that being said i think she deserves the world and will grow [and has already grown] from this experience.
and the thing is that crystal also keeps going back to the same stuff which could have been funny if the episodes were more than one apart or if she didn't do it twice in one episode but. idk.
now, who will win, who should win, hmm hmm hmm. tbh i don’t think it will be crystal. they just crowned the oddball and they like to mix it up, or at least try to. also why looking at the history of dusted or busted scores [and s/o to jan for coming in @ 4 [after the disqualification]] crystal is at a 2, and bebe won with the lowest score at a 3 [w 2nd and 3rd place at 4 and 5], and that was in season 1, which was a whole other ballgame. leaving us with jaida and gigi. i am team jaida. i think that she is much more developed as an artist and performer than gigi, and I think that she will bring us something new.
[here comes the meta part]
the title is america’s next drag superstar. and i think in the beginning of the show, they decided that that had to mean something new and exciting, something that pushed the boundaries of what drag could be [which is rly ironic coming from them but]. which has developed this culture of what is the formula to be successful on drag race. and some people were more overt about this [jan] and some people were more subtle about this [gigi and jackie].
but for some reason, the [Black] pageant queens will make it to the top and then never win. - and they’ve had overt conversations regarding pageants and pageant culture on the show before - but balls and pageants were like the building blocks of drag culture in the us [from what i understand]. so inherently that means it’s no longer “new” and exciting. but the thing is that so many of these fashion [/nyc] queens work so exclusively with these high end designers to produce these looks [i think bob said it can cost like 10K to prep all your stuff for drag race] and with that the ability to design and sew falls away.
and i think that is reflected in the challenges and how they have changed. this season there was one design challenge. and that is just so disappointing to me bc i think the design challenges really separate who has a full understanding of their persona and who does not.
and with fewer and fewer design challenges, you have more and more designer items, and the ability to create something has fallen to the wayside. personally [and i will probably make another post about this later] i want to bring back the design challenges in one of two ways. 1. have an all designers season. where drag designers work to make elaborate costumes based on a prompt and given certain materials. bc on the show designers are not credited as much [that part comes on instagram]. 2. i want to have a drag race blank slate competition. where contestants audition and are given a list of prompts but cannot bring anything except like a notebook. no prepared outfits. you can sketch designs to the prompts, but all the materials are provided. contestants still have a main challenge and a runway, but rather than 2 days, they are given a full week to execute the challenge and the outfit. this would totally change the game in my mind. like one you wouldn't have to have money or take out loans to compete, you could just come and show who you are. and two the audience could see more of what goes into this stuff. AND if drag race really wants to feed us, they could do like a wed. ep and a friday ep. to spread things out.
my favorite challenges are design challenges, and while i think the first challenge this season gave us a better introduction to who the contestants are, the design challenge is a really good thing to have at the front.
i do think that if they had not had the debate that there would have been another design challenge in the mix, but bc it was an election year.
anyways, i want jaida to win bc she’s excellent at what she does. and at this point there is something new and exciting about making all your own clothes and being polished and knowing who you are.  and tbh gigi doesn’t bring anything new to the table. sure the ability to sew and design is good, but compared to aquaria and violet the designs were not as diverse or inventive. on top of that, the fact that gigi is outwardly apolitical [and doesn’t understand the connotation of “privilege” in today’s times] is just not a good look. I also think that it is interesting that gigi came in as the look queen but actually did better in the acting challenges.
idk my main takeaway is that gigi is really really good at playing other people, and with that comes a lack of self awareness. striving so hard to be perfect can come at the cost of not knowing who you are as an artist. like gigi’s brand is literally “im that bitch/bitch” which again, just isn’t what i want in a winner.
and tbh the gigi bug bit early but ended when ru gave her the win on the madonna episode. [i will say that jackie could have won snatch game but tbh i was annoyed w her for being a little dickish to the safe girls that week [though what she said was totally understandable] and also i <3 jackie cox [and chelsea piers we stan chelsea piers in this house] i think there is something so gr8 abt being a nerd and being prepared and being on brand about it. also jackie is always the one to hop on the dolls’ lives and comment their venmo. hashtag cool aunt jackie. [though that here for cox t-shirt and the promo photos make me uncomfy though i get it]]
re jackie coming back to complete the top 4... IDK it’s nice and all but they've already established that they don’t want her to win- otherwise she would not have been eliminated.
also in my mind there are only 12 places so jan actually came in 7, widow 6, heidi 5, jackie 4.
anyways these are my thoughts. as usual, raw and unedited.

feedback is always appreciated xoxo
masterlist | buy me coffee☕
Loki Laufeyson had taken a special interest in you and of course you would find that flattering, though unsettling and suspicious (the latter, more than anything). He would often appear in the same places you frequented, and he would spare no compliment, albeit most of them could be considered more of an insult rather than anything. It was annoying. Though funny. And nice in a sort of I-have-caught-the-gaze-of-a-trickster-god-is-that-even-good? way. He is definitely persistent and terribly charming when he wants to be, but to trust his word would be stupid and so you refrain from entertaining him because really now, you are a realist, and he definitely wants something.
You possess power and not once or twice did a man like Loki try to sweet talk his way into a favour. Normally you would send such a pest flying, though you have your doubts when it comes to Loki. That and he is Thor’s brother, and Thor is not only a friend but also a dear co-worker, and beating up his younger brother would surely break some sort of ethics code. You know Tony probably would not care of Loki’s well-being (might even cheer you on to be completely honest), but as a soldier you have a strict morale code and a tendency to listen to orders, either by contract or otherwise.
But even with all of this in mind you could not quite help being a bit smitten. And the unsettling awareness of your own heartbeat made you wonder if he could hear it, too. The answer to that would be no, though you know he knows what he is doing to you. Irritation grew into anger fairly quick.
But to be fair, how does one not resist him? His eyes are the colour of a forest, dark, alluring, though icy, as if covered in snow; and he is most refined and graceful in movement. Not to mention he looks fantastic in a suit. Once, at a work party, he had noticed you lingering about away from the guests, enjoying solitude with a flute of champagne in your hand and a wistful look on your face. He had moved to your side seamlessly and said nothing for a whole minute. There was silence, though it was intimate, as if words were not needed in order to be close. You enjoy his voice, though you appreciate his silence perhaps more. He lies often, that you knew already. Only when his lips are sealed is he truly being genuine.
Alas, he could not help himself, and he leaned in, and you could faintly smell sandalwood and ink, “They are a rowdy bunch, aren’t they?” Strangely there was no malice in his voice; it was soft, amused, though thoughtful. His gaze was strained on Thor and his large glass of ale, telling an animated story to SHIELD agents, a tired-looking Captain America, giddy Nat, and grinning Tony who tried to steal the show quite literally. Loki then glanced at you, awaiting an answer.
“Yeah.” You said simply, “That’s why I like them.”
“But you don’t enjoy attention.” It was a quick observation; he was watching your reaction intently. You turned to him with a smile.
“If I did, I wouldn’t be standing by the door, would I?”
He grinned, “Well…” He drawled, “Perhaps you fancy a different kind of attention. It’s easier to spot you outside the crowd then within it, after all.”
“Looking at me often enough to know, huh?” You raised a brow. He shrugged.
“Why? Have you caught me staring?”
You gave him a look. He seemed awfully pleased with himself.
And then there was a night at Asgard, in the palace, serene and magical in every way. The whole world seemed to be asleep and the chirp of crickets and languid dance of fireflies was what awoke you, or so you mustered when you wandered the dark lonely halls. The air was fresh and warm; it was summer, it was always summer there. You had entered the gardens and even deep into the night the scent of roses was so sweet it was nearly choking. Under the moonlight you had found him. He was wandering, just like you had been.
At first Loki had seemed surprised to see you, though that slight shock had melted into a pleased smile and he had said something slick and you had replied with a roll of your eyes. The two of you fell into step and pebbles crunched under your feet. He was curious and you were alert. You passed statues and fountains, all appearing somehow prettier in the dark. You are not sure when he had started speaking of the moon and it’s cycles, though once he did you glanced upwards and saw it change from new to crescent and so on and so forth and that magnetic light along with his pleasant voice made it all so dreamlike.
Perhaps that was it; that was the night you had realised even if he did have some ulterior motive it didn’t matter because his company is much too valuable. The though made you even more bitter, if anything.
It’s late into the evening and Fall is merciless: cold, windy, rainy. The kitchen is alight with warm light and two cups of tea lay in the table, cooling by the minute. It tastes fruity, you conduct after a careful sip. The playfulness of the drink does not match the mood at all. You frown softly, stare into the depths of your mug and see your reflection in it. You sigh; your shoulders slump. This whole situation is absolutely hopeless.
Wanda, across from you, sits in her pyjamas and wonders how can she help. Seeing you so defeated is heart-breaking – you are one of the strongest people she knows, always ready to support someone both physically and mentally. She wishes she could use her powers – in a fleeting thought she imagined wiping your memory of a pesky, handsome prince, and now her mind, coming up empty of solutions, wanders to that idea again – though she knows you would not appreciate it (if you ever regained your memories, that is). The best she can do is make tea, or coffee, or hot chocolate at the very least and offer her warm embrace as a safe space where you can be loved and cherished and not toyed with.
Wanda would punch Loki. She had realised so when she noticed how conflicted you looked each time you even mentioned him.
“What if I talked to him?” Her voice is rasp, deep – perhaps silence had stretched for far longer than you had imagined. You glance up at her and she gives you a loving smile, “You know…Witch to trickster…”
“I… don’t think that would help much, W.” You mutter into your drink, “But I appreciate the effort. Really. Just… don’t worry about it. I’ll deal with him…Eventually.” You take another sip. “I just…wish I knew what he was thinking. If he’s serious. Or is this…just another ploy.”
She looks at you for a long while, “…What if we knew? What he was thinking. What if I could find out?”
You perk up, “You can do that?”
She smiles, “There are only few things that I can’t.”
It needs time, she explained and you decided to be patient for as long as your nerves allowed you, which to be fair was not that long. It was another gathering, another one of those meetups at Stark Tower that always ended in heated arguments. You held your ground when Loki approached you to wish you a lovely morning – even if it was pouring till noon – and you held your ground when Tony accused you of being on Steve’s side too much. Wanda was nowhere to be found. Unconsciously you searched for her, for any trace of her, and your heart skipped a beat when you felt her familiar warm aura pulse in the air like a heartbeat.
The conference was long and extremely draining. You were boiling on the inside when you entered and anxiety was choking you when you left but there was not even a ripple of this shown on your face. It had stopped raining a while ago. The air is cold and damp and you shiver before you pull your arms closer to your body. You stand outside and take in the scenery, breathe deeper, feel yourself align with nature and calm.
You feel her again behind you, and so you don’t jump when her hand lands on your shoulder in a comforting squeeze.
“…Well?” You ask, your throat dry and voice scratchy.
“I was thorough.” She says and you hear a smile in her voice, “And you know I don’t like him. You know I don’t. But there is no doubt in my heart that he likes you, (Name).” You turn to her, “Though, I’m not sure which is worse. He really liking you or just pretending.” She notes your confused gaze and sighs, “He’s dangerous.”
“We’re all dangerous, W.” You counter. “If we weren’t heroes we’d make for extremely powerful villains.”
“As long as you don’t forget that he was one.” She lets go of your shoulder, “Well, anyway. I met Tony in the hall on my way here. He looked frazzled.”
“Ah,” You nod, “he was being a baby again. Yelling at me for defending Steve.”
“One of these days those two will have a serious fight.”
“Yeah.” You agree. A few drops of cold rain dot your cheek, “Yeah they probably will. Have you seen Loki?”
“He disappeared right after the meeting. Sorry.”
“No, that’s fine. I…I’m not sure what I wanted to say anyway.”
It was past midnight when you left the Stark Tower; most of your time was spent trying to make amends with Iron Man himself, though he was too stubborn to listen. The only thing that kept you from snapping was the occasional glance out the window - the moon was full until it wasn’t, half alight until it was only a sliver. The cycles, they kept changing. Wherever Loki was, he was near enough to make those fantastic illusions.
He cares, you’d think and smile and look at the moon, he really does.
the end. hope you enjoyed!

Greasy Baby
Tumblr media
Genre: fluff, greaser!hyuck
Word Count: 2.4k
A/N this au stems from some enlightening conversations with @cinanamon who is graciously allowing me to use some of her ideas, this one’s for you bb ;))))
greaser!hyuck is...a lil shit to say the least
like ye he’s a handsome boi i mean,,,imagine him in a leather jacket,,,hair gelled back,,,yes pls
but he knows him and his group of bois (dreamies hello) are hot shit and he’s not afraid to show that he knows it
him and the dreamies are always seen cruising around town,,, harassing hollerin at the ladies from the inside of hyuck’s beat up mustang (is that a time period correct car??? idk and idc to look it up lol)
he never actually physically harasses anyone, it’s all fun and games (for them at least don’t accept cat calling kids men ain’t shit)
there’s just...nothing else really for them to do around town
the only forms of entertainment come from the drive in theater and the soda shop that all the kids hang out at after school
he attends his local university since him and the gang come from a small town and didn’t really care to leave or have the grades to go to a better school
and you...well you don’t really know why you decided to attend a university in such a dinky little town
maybe it’s because you wanted a change of pace from the city, and maybe it’s because it’s your mother’s alma mater and you spent a few of your summers there
but somehow you find yourself at the school
the only problem is,,,everyone who attends the school grew up in the dumb town,,,meaning everyone already knows each other and has their friend groups and cliques
leaving you to fend for yourself and kind of live as an outsider
sure you make acquaintances in your classes but,,,it’s hard for you to make solid friends when everyone else already knows everything about everyone else
so you’ve been living your life on campus, smiling at the acquaintances you’ve made when you pass by them on the street, but you never really hang out with anyone after school
your sophomore year you got a job at the soda shop bc college ain’t cheap and they were hiring
surprisingly enough you made close friends through the job, your coworkers went to the same uni as you and the clientele were also in some of your classes
so you began to actually go out more (when you weren’t working obvi)
on day you were on campus walking to your next class and you saw one of said new friends
but while you were distracted with waving to them you bumped into someone and woop guess who????
you guessed it our boy hyuck with the rest of 00 line walking past
he was bouta pop off but then he sees it’s you the cute lil waitress from the soda shop that he’s lowkey seen around and been crushing on for a few months now
so when he sees you stuttering out an apology bc boi is brighter than the damn son and took your breath away
he just smirks and lets out a lil chuckle and just says ‘don’t worry about it sweetcheeks’ with a wink and then he’s off
you stand there for a moment in shock bc like obvi you know who he is even if you’ve only been around a few years who tf doesn’t know hyuck and co
and ofc your friends all saw and were like...b don’t even worry about it he just be like that sometimes ya know
and you’re like yea u right and forget about the whole encounter
but guess who doesn’t ohohoho it’s mister lee donghyuck himself he be thinking about it the rest of the day bc wow you’re even prettier up close huh
and the rest of dream are like...mmhmm ok mr. lee not sus at all we’re on. to. you.
so guess where hyuck ever so casually zooms off to after his classes are over????
oh boy you guessed it right off to the soda shop but oomph poor bb you’re not actually working that day and bb is sad :(((( meanwhile his boys are just laughing at him bc omg hyuck is so w hi p pe d
so now bb is going to the shop every moment he can until!!! finally!!! you’re working again god bless!!!
as soon as he sees you’re working baby sits bolt up right and starts fixing his slicked back hair that he had totally not been running his hands through out of nerves
the other boys weren’t there bc??? they have better places to be than at the soda shop for the 50000 time that day even though chenle and jisung had been there earlier just to laugh at him
but now holy shit you’re coming over and you look so cute in the dumb poodle skirt they make you wear as a uniform with your hair placed in a high ponytail
meanwhile you’re sw e a t i n g bc shit it’s hyuck and he’s still a handsome ass boy and you have to serve his table n ow f u c k
so you sidle on over and give him your usual spiel asking what he’d like to order n shit
and this boy omf remember when i said he was annoying?
well yea he fucking goes ‘are you on the menu bc I’d certainly like to have a piece of you’
and you’re like...boy tf oh my god i want to SLAP him
but you grin through it like ha ha...funny ok...our specials for today are...
hyuck ain’t listening anymore bc he’s busy mentally kicking himself bc??? really hyuck??? you’re trying to make her like you wtf were you t h in k i ng
so he just points at some random thing on the menu, his head hanging in shame
and yea you’d think it was cute if he hadn’t just gotten on your damn nerves
but, alas, you have to continue serving the boy who had ordered literally just a fried egg but you know who were you to judge
he eats the egg rather quickly and then just...sits there...not doing anything...and you don’t know what to do like you can’t kick him out he did order something and it’s not particularly busy
meanwhile hyuck’s head is spinning trying to think of how to woo you after completely embarrassing himself earlier
after like an hour passes you head over to him, ready to ask him again if he wants anything else to eat
but as soon as you get to him he jolts upright scaring the shit out of you and he’s like fuck sorry i didn’t mean to scare you
and you’re like it’s fine now seriously do you want anything else-
but he cuts you off and suddenly...lee donghyuck?? is grabbing onto your hand??? and rapidly apologizing to you for being so Gross earlier
you gotta shake the boy off of you and honestly,,,he’s really endearing like aw he’s so embarrassed what a bb
when you get out of his grip you’re like bro it’s ok tbh i get much worse all the time
suddenlt hyuck is ready to f i g ht like who tf??? i will square up
in your head you’re like,,,bitch ik you catcall don’t even try...but in reality you’re like mmmhmm sure ok you couldn’t hurt a damn fly
hyuck is angery now like wdym im tough >:( don’t you see my leather jacket and cool hair and car???
and you,,,oh you little reader pat lee donghyuck’s fUCkiNg head and now he is blushing oooooh
in a smol voice he asks for his check and leaves you a v generous tip despite your protests
and by that time his confidence seems to come back bc he winks and tells you he’ll be back
you giggle and give him a lil wave bc...wow lee donghyuck is just a cute shy lil bb hehe
and now hyuck is coming in every day,,,sometimes with his boys,,,sometimes alone but no matter what he’s always sure to, in a respectful manner, flirt with you and chat you up while dream just look on in amusement bc, again, hyuck is wh i p p e d
y’all just kinda...live like that for a few weeks but it’s v clear to e v er y body that there is shit going down between the two of you
like at this point hyuck’s hanging around campus with you too so like,,,everyone and their mother knows at this point bc,,,like i said earlier,,,everyone in this damn town knows everything about everyone
so ya’ll are stagnant, hyuck flirting, you laughing and sometimes flirting back
until one day ohhh boy there’s a new boul in town and he is not ashamed at all
and by that i mean he’s the biggest fucking asshole to ever step foot in the town, thinking he’s hot shit and everybody wants him when everyone hates his g u t s
and this boy has been hanging around the shop, livin his life, waiting for his moment to strike
but uh oh he made a mistake bc the first person he attempts to come on to...is you
and hyuck has been there bc he knows this guy has been hanging around and he wants to keep an eye on you his girl
it was a good thing too bc... this boul is going all out
tugging lightly at your skirt when you come to take his order while he uses the same cringy line hyuck used on you that first day
and hyuck knows you’re a big girl who can handle herself which you make very clear by firmly rejecting him with a smile plastered across your face
but...boy does not and will not let up
and you’re getting more and more frustrated and hyuck can tell esp when you keep throwing exasperated looks in his direction w the occasional eye roll
he would laugh but he’s too busy trying not to flip his shit
until boy fuckin just goes to grab your ass and you immediately move back, ready to reprimand him
but all thoughts are brushed aside when a loud crash sounds followed by heavy footsteps
hyucky had stood up so harshly that his chair had fallen over but he hadn’t even bothered to fix it bc he immediately stormed over to you, loosely wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you into his side
he is m a d like you thought he couldn’t fight before but now he looks like he could rip a guys head off and you lowkey find it hot but that’s not what’s important right now
the guy is like oh woops sorry bro didn’t know she was taken but hyuck is not having it going off about how you shouldn’t treat anyone like that period no matter if they’re in a relationship or not
and yes hyuck and his friends had been the same way a few months before but meeting you changed his way of thinking and his friends as well
bc the idiots had never had any female acquaintances before but now they have you and you’re like a sister to them except for hyuck obvi bc he’s in looove
anyway back to the matter at hand i swear i keep going on tangents soz
you have to calm hyuck down before he actually punches this guy in the nose and the guy throws some money on the table before booking it out of there bc he’s high key scared rn lol puddy
your boss comes out and is like...y’all good? and you’re like uhhh yea mind if i talk to him for a minute? n he’s like ya sure whatever
so you pull hyuck over to a back room and you’re like,,,bro,,,wtf you good now??
but hyuck is on a roll now and just flat out says ‘i’ve liked you for a while now so will you do me the honor of being my gf?’
you ??? for a second before snapping himself out of it and you’re like ??? hell yea boi tf???
so now y’all are dating woo!!!
he makes sure to come to the shop whenever you’re working
at first he even would miss classes but you were not gonna have that oh no education comes first kids >:(((
and he was like ugh ok fine but he always managed to get other dreamies to be there when he couldn’t just so he knows you’re ok :(((
you get really close with the other dreamies tho so now you’re all one happy family
even when hyuck isn’t at your shift he makes sure to pick you up afterwards
waiting outside, leaning against his beat up mustang …leather jacket on…waiting for you to come out…and when you walk up to him he grabs you by the waist…pressing a chaste kiss to your forehead…before opening the door for you…driving off to who knows where…but neither of you care as long as you’re together…
sometimes you go to the drive in and cuddle up in the backseat making out for the duration of the movie hehe
you climb onto his lap and sometimes you can hear the people in the next car wooping and hyuck just gives them the finger before bringing his hand back to settle on the back of your thigh
ahem anyways enough of that
other times you just,,, drive around,,, windows down,,, blasting music and laughing,,, just living your life as two college students should hyuck’s hand resting on your thigh shhhh
you always stop at the same dingy diner that’s hidden away on some side road
(shout out to steph for this next part love you bb uwu)
and hyuck always rummages through his pockets  for change to buy you a drink, even when you say he doesn’t have to and you know he doesn’t always have the most money he says he wants to
trips to the diner are always followed by sunset drives where you have to remind him to watch the road bc  he finds it so much fun to smiles t you and try to kiss you while driving and you scold him that he’s going to die one day, him saying it’s better to live hard, die young

Stu/Billy Reaction to Quiet Wallflower being a Siren
@nyx-daughterofchaos98
Im glad you sent in this! I hope its to your liking! & I added quite a bit into the scenario & I changed it slightly
Sorry that it’s so long, the actual request is simple, I just like the idea of a little backstory behind the request:
1. Quiet, wallflower girl who never registers on Ghostface’s radar bumps into Stu a few days before a school camping trip. She’s very polite & kind & even gives him a hug when she leaves. Over the next few days, she gets to know both Stu/Billy, but doesn’t exactly get super close with them, holding them almost at arms length. Both Billy/Stu watch her during the trip, deciding when to go in for a kill. 1) One night, during the full moon, they watch in confusion as she sneaks out to the lake after everyone had fallen asleep, in only a robe, strips, walks into the water, & disappears beneath the surface. Seconds later, they hear a song, hypnotic and sweet. It was beautiful to listen to, and Stu shuts his eyes & just listens. 2) Until Billy hits his arm and points silently, & sees a rude jock that have been bullying the other students over the past couple days. He walks like he’s in a trance to the water, wadding in & then freezing. Reader comes out of the water. A siren (like from the show on freeform) emerges from the water, and holds out a hand as the song gets louder. 3) The jock smiled dreamily & went in deeper, going to her. She grabs him, & disappears beneath the water. There are bubbles, & a struggle & then utter stillness. Then there is movement as reader emerges from the water, grabs her robe, looks around, & heads back into her cabin. 4) Conclusion, how would Billy & Stu react to the quiet little wallflower, who was always content in staying in the background & keeping others at arms length, being a siren hiding on land until the humans she’s staying with decide she needs to head back home. And would they let her know they know? (Bonus if she knows about them too) 5)
Being a quiet wallflower tends to keep you off the radar of many people
And you’d like to keep it that way tbh
Unfortunately life wasn’t on your side; you had accidentally bumped into the infamous weirdo named Stu Macher
Slightly panicked you quickly but politely apologize, giving the tall boy a simple hug & another sorry before leaving
This of course captures their attention; you’re completely on their radar and it was obvious to you (considering they’re likely trying to include you into their activities ex: parties, hangouts, etc)
You trying to ignore them and stay off their radar; unfortunately that doesn’t work as you begin to ease up w/ them. Of course still keeping them a good distance away from your personal space
The more you hangout w/ them the more they’ll likely believe it’ll be easy to kill you
But you’ve come to terms that despite everything, you’ve grown attached to having them in your life
Eventually the school’s planned camping trip is around the corner; everyone was ecstatics. Minus you
This just seemed to increase your anxiety, but considering you now have more than just a couple of acquaintances, people you dare call- friends in your life. You have to go
While you’re at home packing and planning for the trip that’s literally tomorrow, Billy & Stu are coming up w/ a plan to kill you, maybe a few other campers
It would be an easy kill tbh. They knew you’d rather sleep in your own tent and further away from the group, one could be on watch while the other kept you quiet while spilling your guts throughout your own tent
You had completely tripled checked everything; especially the calendar. The trip was gonna last around a week and there was various activities that you were gonna have to do. Luckily the day you were worried over wasn’t until the last night
The next day: As everyone was boarding the bus you were forced inbetween one of the schools jocks and the preppy girls. The prep wasn’t one you’ve talked to considering they were pretty bitchy, however the jock decided to mess around
He was pushing back on all his friends as they pushed him back towards you, you tried to keep far away as possible from the prep while dealing w the jock; however his crew kept forcing him closer
It was getting uncomfortable & annoying
He was more of the douchy jock to so he didn’t really back up, his hands slightly grazing you here & there
“Can you back up please?” You asked desperately
But alas you weren’t heard
As the students piled into the bus you caught eyes w/ Billy & Stu who only grinned at you, motioning for you to sit near them
Billy made a kid move further back and you quickly took that seat considering you wanted to get away from the jock behind you
Billy sat on the outside w/ Sidney on his right, Stu sat by himself considering his girl was talking w/ another friend of hers further up front
You’d thought the group of jocks would go to the back but the douche quickly slid in beside you- squishing you further towards the window
Having gotten closer to the boys they knew you’d rather much have your space than be squished up against other people
But you also didn’t like having the spotlight on you
Billy was gonna shoo the guy towards the back w his group of imbeciles but you shook your head while just pushing yourself closer to the window, resting
The ride to the camp site started; it was ok at first. But the dude kept touching you
Like he’d lean more towards you, try to start a conversation w you, let his hand drift towards your thigh
You’d smack his hand away and curl further into the window side
Lets just say it was a long and annoying ride
But fortunately when you get to the camp site you’re allowed to stretch and pick where you want your tent
Taking your stuff and putting it the furthest but not too far from the group you’re quick to set it up and toss your items into the shelter
It was around 4pm meaning y’all had a couple hours before dinner so you were free to chill or walk around so long as you let a supervisor know & didn’t go too far
You decided to stay at the campsite and relax; in your tent away from everyone else w/ your music/sketchbook/book/etc
Meanwhile Billy & Stu were finishing up their tent; quietly planning your murder
The duo were hoping to catch you either away from the group or in the middle of the night-where they can keep you silent while they spill your intestines all over your tent
Maybe drag you further into the forest and torture you; a slow brutal death
Maybe even make it seem like suicide?
Ahh but the ideas of all those horror movies they’ve watched could help inspire them to make your death...more..grotesque?
Either way as the day continued and nighttime fell the group was quick to settle in for the night after dinner
The boys were still awake when they heard the sound of a zipper
You were dressed in nothing but a robe; quietly making your way out of your tent and to the lake that wasn’t that far off
After the boys deemed it possible they unzipped their own tent, watching the figure stray away from the group- course they took their knives- a kill is a kill
They trailed the figure barely seeing the outline of the person in the dark; they watched as the person had taken off their clothing article- revealing the person to be female
Once the robe was off you slowly walked into the water, the boys watching as your figure disappeared deeper into the cool dark lake
The clouds above slowly moved away, the moon shining down on the lake in it’s full glow. The boys were confused as the person didn’t come back up for air
Soon a sweet alluring tune echoed throughout the forest, ripples stirring the once still lake; Billy & Stu silently argued confused about the situation
Ngl Stu was probably slightly scared
Billy likely is confused & irritable
But the serenity was disrupted as the sound of footfalls thudded nearby, branches shaking and twigs snapping
Stu & Billy watched a tall male stumble out of the woods; w/ the moonlight they could make out who it was- that one douch that kept getting handsy w/ you
Billy made a motion towards the dude to indicate that they could kill this asshole too
Billy was the one to silently step closer towards the dazed jock
However the tune they heard had increased in volume, the movement to his left causing him to pause & watch whatever moved
What they assume to be the person that walked into the lake was now exposed slightly; their hair soaked and sticking to their body, skin having a slightly grey hue, eyes different in a creepy but entrancing way
Tbh they probably were just as enthralled by the person as the jock but it seemed as if the jock was literally in a daze
Stu quietly made his way to Billy; watching the Jock walk into the water, not saying a word nor making any other movements
The duo were likely freaked out- just slightly(Stu a bit more)
As the jock got closer to you, you backed further into the water, hands stretched out which now had webbing between your fingers
Once the dude was in your grasp you dragged him to the bottom of the lake, bubbles rising to the surface as you did your thing
Billy & Stu stood there waiting for anything to happen; tbh they felt like they were hallucinating bc of some serious whack drugs
But the figures didn’t come back up, not for a long while
“Dude I’m kinda freaked”
“Shut up!”
The boys were likely arguing on what to do, it’s not like anyone would believe them nor why one of the campers were missing
About 15-20 minutes later the female came back up to the surface; walking out of the water towards their clothes
W/ the moonlight Billy & Stu are able to see who the figure was- surprised they watched as you quickly got your clothes and started making your way back
Guess they’ll hold off on killing you, for now they need to get closer to you and figure out WHAT you are
They tailed you all the way back to camp- waiting before heading back to their own tent
Throughout the time spent camping they boys seemed to get increasingly closer to you, being more social w/ you and inviting you do do more activities w/ them
This has you confused but you don’t question it rlly
Overall, Stu & Billy are likely confused, curious and considering how you can be of use or if you should just die. Like in all honesty they’ll probably corner you eventually and start explaining what they saw, pestering & threatening you to explain to them. And if they deem you useful you’ll either be part of their scheme of Ghostface or you’ll be their source of blackmail, getting information on others and keeping any evidence from being found by the police or anyone of that matter.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
A big shout out thanks to a friend name Xu Xu! I could of NOT done this without’em as people are too dang strict about AOTC only. Like I get it, it’s so it ensures players KNOW the fight. But even though I lacked AOTC doesn’t mean I do not know the fight. We one shot Heroic Argus in one go with 3 mins to spare before Argus berserks. Argus is BARELY any different from normal, but people act like it’s the most difficult boss when all he does is hit hella harder. It’s not like I wasn’t in the ilvl to even take on Argus either. I do not know if Xu Xu has tumblr buuuut the name of the bird is totally a shout out to Xu. Thank you so much for lending a hand and finally got the mount and the achievement for it.
Got a bit of a story below here...
Sooooo I been working on getting AOTC for months. I do not got the time or resources to create my own raid team, so all I got are pugs to join in if I got the time. After all that’s kinda the reason blizz created these ques to allow people to still be able to enjoy the game content. I learned ALL the fights, spent months gathering the gear so im at the ilvl needed for a Argus kill. But alas, people want only AOTC and yes I get it. It’s to ensure that the fight will be a 1 shot. Buuuut let’s be real here. In my experiences even people with AOTC, it does NOT guarantee that the raid will go smoothly. I rather be with people who may not have AOTC but have put the research to know all boss fights and gained the gear to take down Argus then a bunch of AOTC salty assholes.
What do I mean? Well the first group my friend helped me get in, so ALL these people got AOTC right? But as soon as the  fight starts, things are going smooth for like 1 min into the fight. I’m doing at least 2 mil dps cause I pop everything at beginning so I’m hitting as hard as possible to get Argus to 70% to get passed 1 phase. But guess what, these people with AOTC...they kept dropping blight RIGHT in the stack group. I had to keep moving out of the sudden dot of doom PLUS argus doing his extra heroic aoe move and to move again because cone of death. I avoided all the cone of deaths it was the dang blights that was causing an issue. I’m poping my defenses to survive which was going fine but these AOTC players (and me at the time did not have AOTC) kept dropping blights (like 2-3) right in the stack group. (And even if some didn’t have AOTC, still does not excuse to not know what to do with blight wheeenn normal does the same move.)
So I get blight. Now I’m already moving to get out of a blight that is dropped right in melee. So I got blight and displacer(blink) way to the back of the group as that is where blight is to be dropped. But my hp was already low due to all the damage from argus and these players sloppily dropping blights. I die because I ran outa defenses to pop and argus did his aoe move just as I dropped my blight down. It’s not the healers fault, just dps that apparently want to get everyone killed so now my dps drops because I’m dead. A few other players are dead due to the same issue (or had caused it.) So I’m just all..welp, I just know it I’m gonna get kicked because of other players messing up. But I’m watching.
We still had plenty of people still up, they get passed 2nd phase no problem and then theres the 3rd one with the adds. And hardly ANYONE was interrupting cosmic beacon. My friend who went as a healer was getting annoyed and she being top heals, shes completely outa mana trying to save everyones ass. They managed to get passed that phase even though I saw another cosmic beacon go off. Now last phase. And guess what. The suppose all super strong aotc tanks just LEFT argus in the middle. The only thing that argus did was kept spinning around as now im trying to stay behind him and raid is yelling for tanks to move it to skull mark. Argus kills me and half the raid because of his swipe finally tanks position him to skull. But since so many kept dieing, tree was now gone and it was a complete wipe.
And yet this dumb ass raid leader kicks me out of group? When I had not done ANY of the huge mistakes, barely got a chance to do much because of other people screwing up. So my friend leaves and we can tell that group was just going to be shit. So we join another Argus group. This one was more chill, a good RL that is carefully picking and gathering to get a team set up. So I’m hoping we can one shot with this group, still feeling hopeful.
I’ve been in bad pugs before, sometimes you get in really good ones and other times really bad ones. It’s expected when you go for pugs. But this one....THIS ONE tops the CAKE! So once again, AOTC is the ONLY way to get a one shot kill huh? Lol.
WELL, the RL gets the team all set up. We are just about ready and summoning people in when all of a sudden. This asshole DH tank name Activedh from Area 52 began dissing and just being HUGELY salty about the other tank. Just kept going on and on and on about how horrible of a tank he is and that if RL doesn’t kick the supposed “bad tank” that he wants to be kicked out. I mean this DH kept it up but in the end. This DH tank just proved to everyone in the raid how much of a HORRIBLE tank he is because this story gets better. Ohhhh does it get better. I cannot MAKE this up. So RL tell’s the DH if he doesn’t like that the other tank is staying then he can just leave. So this DH is sooooo vengeful and angry over something so stupid he does end up leaving but also PULLS ARGUS! Does the biggest dick move all because he was having a shit fest over nothing? Now this is an AOTC I’m a bad ass and I know everything kind of player cause he also done mythic or whatever. But he’s blaming this other tank name moose that he’s a bad tank. But he just had a 2 yr old tantrum over nothing and pulled the boss to get everyone killed. Yet Moose is the bad tank? Does that make ANY sense at all?
So we all die but w/e NO ONE leaves, we all stay and we just get a new tank. RL just gets a few more dps and we’re back to summoning players in. And we all didn’t know but that SAME player logged on his monk. He qued up and got invited in only to pull boss on us AGAIN and then leave. He got us good on that, I got to hand it to him there. We totally did not expect it. But RL wised up to it as he was using something as he can tell that it was the same player. It’s not that hard to find out as you can go to the armory and just see the pets etc. I do not know what is used to find out but I’m just glad we had a smart RL.
Now for someone who was boasting and giving the other tank a hard time over nothing, we didn’t even begin and he sank so low of a level to log on another character just to try to troll us and get us killed again. Like yanno what, no one got mad really. We found it hilarious that someone would stoop to such a pathetic level of a tantrum, no one left still. The RL saw he signed up again but now he’s on a warlock and we’re like WAIT don’t invite him but wait until after we beat Argus then invite him so he can see we one shot the boss. :D
So RL leaves the list up, doesn’t invite anymore. We get to fighting argus, everything was going hella smoothly. Tanks did not do bad AT all like this AOTC asshole was dictating how much moose sucked. Hardly anyone died. Only just 2 people. But no one was making mistakes, people were on it. Phase 3 I got onto an add to make sure it doesn't cosmic beacon and gone through that phase no problem. We get to last phase, module orbs are getting smacked down every time they pop up. We are all on it. We kill Argus with like 3 mins to spare on his berserk. I get my mount FINALLY thanks to Xu and being so kind to get me in.
But yanno, ONLY AOTC’S ARE THE BEST RIGHT?! YOU GET NO PROBLEMS IN AOTC ONLY’S.
Tumblr media
And the only tid bit of the screen shots I took of the chat. Lol. Not making up this story at all. This is after we killed the boss and what raid chat began talking on lol. He never got invited back in, I figured he unlisted cause he figured it out lol. In the end we proved his dumb ass wrong and everyone in the pug raid got Argus down and that was that.
I may have been struggling to try and get AOTC before BFA drops, to get the mount before it goes away. It ended up being an adventure and a good story that will never be forgotten. This is my sort of luck and it shows why I been struggling for so long but I got it done and it’s all thanks to Xu!

I'vee written this from episode 29 through 32-ish and I want to dump a quick review of what I think of the characters at this point. Just for the lols for when I finish the show and I find I was completely wrong on most of them! Im using a compiled list on Google drive for the characters, so following that order they are split into clans.
Here we go.
Wei Wuxian. I really liked him at the beginning (what a funny cinnamon roll) but ever since he went missing into Burial Grounds I'm not sure...I see his points -especially when he criticised the Jins and stood up for the Wens- , but I can't believe he doesn't see he's being corrupted. Like come on. Just let the others help you for once, this is just looking for troubles. On thin ice. Used to be 9/10
Lan Zhan. Didn't like him much - or at all - when he was introduced in Clouds Recessess. I thought he was a stick in the mud and I wasn't too fond of him. He's missing for good chunks of the story. As my opinion of WWX deteriorated, I like him more or more because he's the one making sense out of the two, this gets him a passing score, even if barely. 6/10
Jian Cheng. He was my sweet sweet baby. Unparalleled sibling energy with WWX, cute angsty ship with Wen Qing, likable personality, the drama with the core. He had it all. But at some point...I don't know man. I just don't agree with anything he says anymore, and he's just becoming more and more sulky about his inferiority complex as a Clan Leader. I feel that, not counting the 16 years later part I didn't watch yet, he should get the title of co-protagonist rather than Wangji, since he's much more involved in the plot. Used to be a 8/10, still pending.
Jian Yanli. I like her. I feel like a dumb ass for getting attached and only remembering halfway through the flashback part that she's going to die, as per the first few episodes. I'm hating every second of it, like why killing her when the show is full of unpleasant people? Poor Li. Also the ship is a big plus. This kind of drama is just *chef kiss*- (and edit: after I watched the last episode of the night and she died...it's fine I'm not crying.) 8/10
Jian Fengmian. I don't really care much about him one way or the other. A little whipped by his wife - not that it is bad per se, but she really is bad so - , didn't particularly like that he favored WWX over JC. I think he could have been better, but he was pretty decent. 7/10
Madame Yu. No. 1/10
Lan Zichen. Possibly the last dude I 100% trust in this show not to let me down - as long as he isn't influenced too much by Mang Yao. I like him in a sort of uninvolved way. Don't look forward to see him on screen, don't wonder where he is or what he is doing, pleased when he shows up and does his sensible thing and then disappears again. Kept me on my toes after he escaped from Could Recesses though, but really took him so long to come back I almost forgot I was worrying about him. Way to go Zichen. 7/10
Lan Qiren. He's alright? I don't care much. Pretty dope when he took a stand against the Wans when they attacked, but I find him to be a little too much sometimes. 6/10
The files lists some juniors I haven't seen yet. They seem baby? Cute. I assume they are going to be so-and-so 's children, like in a Boruto way. Looking forward to see all the characters paired up.
Jin Guangshan. I thought he was annoying because he had a bunch of illegitimate children that I lost track of but then he became even more annoying with his very transparent power grab -and the fact that no one seems concerned is baffling to me. Overall I think I would have pretty much liked it more if the son Zixuan was clan leader and we didn't have to deal with this piece of work. 2/10
Jin Zixuan. As I was writing this post this man went through all sort of things. From proposing to having a child to being murdered. Honestly, we didn't start off the right foot when he booked the inn where WWX & co wanted to stay. I kept wishing he would kick the bucket because I hated how he treated Yanli, and I thought he would wind up to be a minor villain...while it seems he was the only normal member of his family. I feel bad for hating him so much. 8/10.
Jin Ling. Biggest reason why I thought his dad would be a bad guy. For the first part, I thought the Jins would be the villains because of him, and not the Wens, though in the end I wasn't that off the mark in a sense. He was just a cartoonish villain. I have yet to see him again after the flashback part, but his first introduction was awful. 3/10
Meng Yao. So the thing is, I was really partial towards him at the beginning. The bit at Cloud Recesses? The part with the Nie family? Perfect. Felt so bad for how everyone treated him. I started to excuse what he was doing like "it's ok, the head of guards is a dick to him" "it's okay he was double crossing the bad guys eheh" "it's ok he is...murdering civilians?" But seriously he let me down so hard. Also his face looks so different I didn't recognise him at first. At the beginning I thought I could maybe have a cute ship with Zichen but to tell the truth I don't want Meng Yao anywhere near him now. I seriously thought he wanted to murder infant Jin Ling at some point there to climb the ladder and become Clan Leader. I'm sure he set WWX up and schemed to murder the last dregs of the Wens and Zixuan. 1/10
Jin Zixun. Pretty inconsequential. Could have done with him imo. I'm only including him because I love when WWX goes "I don't even know who you are" like three times and that's a mood because where the heck did he come from.
Mo Xuanyu. I don't get why he looks like WWX. I sort understand why they used the same actor but story-wise I don't understand. How can random people look at him and recognise WWX? Also, he is kinda stupid for giving up his life to be possessed by a bad guy to get revenge but whatever floats your boat I guess. 4/10
Nie Mingjue. I don't care much for him. He bullies his brother too much and his short temper is annoying even though often justified. I thought I could kinda always rely on him to be the voice of reason despite not liking his character but then he said the stupidest thing in the show "I'm not sitting on that chair" and left it to the Jin Sect Leader...look how that worked out. Love how he basically disappeared after that, I think because he knew he screwed up big time (jk). 6/10
Nie Huaisang. Funny. Definetly underused. I hoped he would be part of the main gang. When he stopped showing up, the show took a terrible turn in its atmosphere. Please come back as sect leader in the 16 years later part (I mean, who else is there? I hope he didn't die in the meantime because he isn't showing up in this final battle). I wish I saw him swing a sword at the least once but alas. 7/10.
Wen Ruohan. I mean. What can you expect. Typical bad guy sitting on top of a lava pond that controls zombies. Wasn't expecting much development from his character and he surely didn't deliver. A good 2-dimensional bad guy to kill without thinking too hard about anything I guess. Awful person tho. 4/10
Wen Xu. I didn't even realize there were two young Wens. I thought he was his brother at first, but without the spice. Literally why was he there. 4/10
Wen Chao. He sucks, don't get me wrong. But watching him coming up with all sorts of awful things is very entertaining. 2/10 as a person, 9/10 as a villain. Cheered when he died.
Wen Lingjiao. Same as her lover, but more annoying because she got on my nerves sometimes. I was so glad when she got it. The (1) good thing coming out of WWX's corruption. 2/10
Wen Zhuliu. I really want to know what drove him to serve Chao with such devotion. His technique was kinda cool. I think he would have been an okay guy but sadly he associated with Chao. 4/10
Wen Ning. I thought "No, poor Ning is dead" ten times already and still counting. Please WWX just let him die. He is/was just a sweetheart and I loved him with all my heart. His death and everything that came after it filled me with rage, when i thought he died I was brokenhearted, and the fact that he gets blamed for killing people when it's arguably WWX's fault is so unfair. We didn't deserve Wen Ning. I don't really like that he became the Ghost General tho. 10/10
Wen Qing. I liked her. Same as her brother, how their story ended up upset me. I hoped they would get to live peacefully in their commune in the woods. That part of the story was *chef kiss*. The romance with JC lacked closure imo but I understand that they both had things going on and they would need to stretch the story too much to get the together or at the least talk about their feelings. I hoped till the end she wouldn't be killed because I knew Ning came bad 16 years later, so they must have avoided being executed, but more realistically I guess he's just a zombie and she's just dead. I lowkey shipped her with WWX though I feel this would be an unpopular opinion in the fandom -when I learned WWX has a different endgame ship I was kinda bummed sorry. I thought we would get a sort of love triangles with JC, I can't say I'm disappointed because it would have been a terrible plot. They really have a good platonic relationship, I loved to see them build that village. 8/10
Song Lan/ Xiao Xingchen / Xue Yang. What's the deal with them? They seemed to be set up to come back but only Song Lan does a passing appearance. Are they coming back? What was their significance? So weird because the untamed usually doesn't introduce characters to just drop them when the episode's over.

IT (2017) Review.
I had been excited for the new adaptation of IT since I first saw that iconic picture of Pennywise, grinning creepily with pleasure and contempt. I couldnt wait for it. When the first trailers dropped it got me even more hyped and excited to see what Muschietti would bring to the table, as I was unimpressed with the miniseries. Today I saw IT, and have to say am fairly underwhelmed by it. What I hoped would be a thrilling, scary and atmospheric horror film was an oddly edited, cliche and predictable film. Over this review I will be talking about what works, what doesnt, what I loved and what I hated and finally, an overall score out of 10. Please remember this is all opinionated and very personal, rather than a group opinion. What I loved: Personally the best part of the film for me was the losers club. Not only were all very well performed and gave off a very real and serious vibe, the children acted like children, a rare occurrence in many modern films. The kids throughout this movie are swearing, making your mum jokes and mentioning dick size, like a kid would. Muschietti really nailed this side of the spectrum and due to the great performances by all the children and realistic and relatable behaviour, I found myself really enjoying the club, far more than I thought I would. Another thing I thoroughly enjoyed was the coming of age theme throughout. I really liked this and thought it really added to the story. In a way Pennywise could be a metaphor for all the problems and hard times these kids are facing, and them dealing with him is them working together to beat their daily problems. It may seem stereotypical but I thought it was sweet to see the club grow and learn in such a small amount of time, all of them facing their fears and issues (some more literally than others) Im glad the story wasnt just, "oh look, there's an evil clown who is hurting people, let's go beat him up," as for me this would have made the film flat and uninteresting. I'm very glad it was included and felt it really added to the film. Pennywise is a weird one. I thought he worked at points but at others I just hated him. Saying that, he definitely had far more good scenes than bad but I still just felt unimpressed at his character. It wasn't even Bill's fault, it was just the look and feel to him in general. Again, sometimes he was incredible but sometimes he felt to comedic and cartoon like. Overall though, he was a very strong character and I did enjoy when he was on screen (most of the time) The cinematography in this film in my personal opinion was beautiful. So many scenes were shot so well. Muschietti made sure to use locations and places to their full effect and it shows. The shots used also fit in with the scene. For example when outside in the day the shots were wide and vast, showing off the beauty of Derry or the quarry. However when inside a location it felt claustrophobic and cramped, adding to the intensity and fear of the scene. The lighting was also on point. When in a dark room it felt eerie and as an audience member I felt blind but at the same time little details and important features were clear and visible. When outside the lighting felt very true to life without blinding you of course. Both lighting and the cinematography were very well done and should be applauded. The sound design in the film really sold it for me. Most of my fear produced actually came from the sound rather than whatever else was going on. One scene which I will never forget is Pennywise exiting the cupboard. It really did chill me. But the main reason for doing so is him tapping his long, gloved fingers on the side of the box. It was genuinelly terrifying. The sound was perfectly managed, sounds in the foreground were loud and violent whilst little ones in the back were small and hard to pick up, but the amount it added to the atmosphere was great. I'm very glad the sound was well done and pin pointed in just the right settings and times as it really added to the film for me anyway. What I didn't like: To me, the jumpscares in this film were terrible. I hoped to every possible god that all the jumpscares would be fair and needed. Alas, this is not the case. Thankfully, IT didn't stoop to the level of the classic "it's just a ....." jumpscare but far to mamy were predictable and dull. There were pointless loud noises and violins squealing at me from the screen and a lot of the scares were cheap and commonly used in Hollywood films. There were probably 7 scares which I predicted and out of all of them in total, only a few made me jump. Which isn't great. One thing that really annoyed me was Georgie's walkie talkie screeching whenever he ran by. Stuff like that is what ruined this film. Yes, it is better than a loud bang or smash, but still. I could do better and I've never made a film. It really did upset me as I do love a good jumpscare, but there were very few to be found. As much as I did love them, the kids in the film made such stupid and contradictory decisions. It really got to me. They would constantly wonder off by themselves after all being told not to and it was so annoying to watch. Even Bill, who said to them all countless times to stick together decides to walk away from the group. You could argue that this is Pennywise luring them away with his powers but I personally believe it's a dull way to create another cheap scare. Another thing they all do is the classic, "let me go in this dark room, nothing could go wrong" This is just so pathetic. For example the library scene with Ben. No one would ever follow those eggs and go down there. It felt wrong and fake, exactly the opposite of what this film wanted and was meant to be. I do see why it was needed, but there were far better ways to lure the characters. Pennywise, as mentioned above, did work. But there were so many instances where he didn't. And what does it all come down to? CGI. What ruined him for me was the large amount of CGI that went into the film. I understand that it's nessecary and in some ways it did help, but it sucked any amount of realism out of the film. What does this result in? A lack of tension and fear. For me, the more realistic, the more scary. That's why for me, The Strangers is the scariest horror of all times. It was so real and plausible that it made it far more intimidating simply due to how it was handled and filmed. No CGI, no demons or ghosts. Just 3 insane people trying to murder a couple. It sounds basic but it is so much more scary than IT. For example, the garage scene was so poorly created it nearly made me laugh at how conical Pennywise looked. It just didn't work for me. I do understand it's hard to create a film like this without using it, but I believe that more practical effects could and should have been used. Even if that had meant making it less extravagant. One thing I enjoyed about the miniseries is that it seemed more real because there was no (or very little) special effects or features. This made it feel more real, and in turn, added to the danger and intensity. I wish this interpretation had done the same. The editing was so odd in this film. It went from happy to sad to scary in seconds. It felt misguided and oddly created. A good example is the basement scene. It goes from Pennywise screaming and trying to kill Bill to Bev sat on a staircase in the sun, content and happy. This breaks the tension with ease. Whats even weirder is that it never show the aftermath of the scene, Bill's reaction or thoughts are never shown, it just stops. It's almost like a scene was cut. It felt wrong and misplaced. I understand in some aspects why what was done but still, it felt so strange. Many scenes felt cut and half completed, some seem to short and others to long. The best word for it would have to be inconsistent. I really enjoyed some of the editing, but disliked others. The kiss scene. Is dreadful. This is not a fairy tale world. This is a world where a young boy has his arm ripped off and is pulled into a sewer. Magical kisses do not tie in well with that sort of theme. This infruriated me. Genuinelly. I don't understand. It wasn't to develop character or even a relationship, it wasn't to advance the plot, it didn't add anything to the story. It took away from it. What seemed so real was whisked away in seconds. Was it meant to show that the underdog can always succeed or help others? I for one, am clueless. It really did disappoint me. Am I supposed to believe that a kiss from a random boy can wake up a girl who has been affected by the deadlights? It was so random and wrong. It felt like it had been ripped straight from Disney and plonked straight into the film to add to it's character and charm. It didn't work. At all. And it really did spoil the film. It was cheesy, unasked for and laughable. I still can't think of any reason for including it. My final complaint is the end scene. The final fight. For a start, I'm glad it wasn't long and drawn out over 20 minutes. It would have become boring. But it felt so odd. How Pennywise just collapsed to the floor and started to deteriorate. Again, the end scene reminded me heavily of a Disney film. "We beat you out of love and teamwork." That sort of thing. I understand what they were going for, and it was a sweet ending but it felt wrong to put it in a film like this. What happened to the battery acid? That was great and it made sense. But instead we get the classic fall to his "death" scene. I'm glad they all conquered their fears and I'm glad that they could beat their common enemy but it could have been made far less lovey dovey in my personal opinion. I get that it was to make the audience feel and perhaps even relate but to me this fell very flat. Another issue regarding the scene is Bev. I do understand that sexual abuse must be a horrifying thing do deal with but the fact that Pennywise didn't scare her is dumb. He is the true manifestation of any fear, a monster, a beast. Yet she isn't afraid? Again I know that the whole overcoming her fear had to be included but it was fairly annoying to see that she wasn't bothered even in the slightest. It may seem like nitpicking, but I cared about the film a lot and some bits and pieces made little sense to me, regardless of what the general public say. Overall: IT is not a bad film. It's not incredible, but far from bad. It had it's scary moments and ideas and the film is certainly not for the weak hearted. Themes and ideas are shoehorned in nicely and darker topics are presented in a careful and appealing light. Performances all round are great from everyone, especially the losers club. Pennywise is an intimidating villain throughout and never fails to either disturb or creep you out. It does have it's flaws, but as does any film, and it is impossible to say that IT is not an entertaining film. Even if I wouldn't class it as a true horror it is very amusing and fun to watch in pretty much any situation and I would recommend it if you're ever bored or have nothing to do. Unfortunately I didn't feel it lived up to it's hype but hopefully chapter 2 may be able to improve and evolve from that. I didn't watch the film I was expecting and hoping to see, but it did work and it did achieve it's goal; to entertain, and entertain it did. Overall score: 6/10 Best shot?: The best shot of this film for me is when Georgie attempts to crawl away from Pennywise, his arm bleeding and him crying. IT's inhumanely long arm appears from the drain and we know it's all over for poor little Georgie. So harrowing, but so good.

“Kill Me”// im sorry
Even More Drabbles - Accepting @fawking-izaya Leave a “Kill Me” in my ask, and I’ll write a drabble about my character killing yours.
(🐈)         Iza was by no means a holy person or saint. He always had severalreasons to kill; although, in the end, none of his reasons ever did matter. Hewould claim it’s for the greater good and justice and that he as doing theright thing in ridding the world of corrupt people. In retrospect, that neverwas the reason; rather, it was a cover up for the real reason: self-fulfillment.
With anunyielding and undying hate towards people of any kind Iza had always questionedwhy people deserved the things they have. He had never felt much remorse forthe people he had purposely gotten killed, surely Iza would have gotten caughtby now, but that was not the case. Iza was smarter than he made himself out tobe. He wouldn’t stupidly get himself caught in such actions.
It wasuncleanly, and certainly not something he would want to dirty his paws with, let alone having the blood stain his hands. He was sure the taste of humanblood would be bitter and disgusting. A sophisticated feline such as himselfwould rather be in his luxurious bed napping the day away till dusk.
As of rightnow Iza was at his desk, a bored expression on his face. It was past dusk andwell into the night. The city lights were bright, and truthfully to Iza it wasa pretty sight, but it was soon ruined by the sights of people scrambling below.Iza moved his head to rest on the palm of his hand as he scrolled throughvarious sites and chats. There were several potential victims Iza could havepicked and done away with in the same night, but that was not his style. Hepreferred people who held a significance or power somewhere.
Many of themwould have been a walk in the park if Sinzuo was still around.
That crazedwolf would pounce and kill anything in his sight and to him it didn’t matterwho it was, but alas, he was nowhere to be found. For all Iza knew Sinzuo could have gotten caught or died somewhere. Truly, Sinzuo was love at first sight, perhapsbecause their morals were similar or for worse their sense of justice was thesame. In the end, Iza wouldn’t claim he had any association with Sinzuo andwhomever he would take down in front of him, but to Iza, Sinzuo was perhaps oneof his closest friends even if they are anything but friends.
In the end, their senses had always came down to the same basic component: Murder.
If Iza thought about it there were several people he couldpotentially get rid of, such as the people who confuse him for Izaya. He leanedback against his swivel chair and turned to one side with a hum. Iza wasn’tsure if he actually wanted to go out and do it himself.
Would it beeasier to get someone else to do it? Iza did have a record to keep of gettingrid of people indirectly; keeping a ‘out of sight out of mind’ approach.
Iza knewIzaya’s schedule well enough, but he was sure Izaya had about the same amountof information, maybe a little less considering Iza’s elusiveness, but eventhen Izaya himself was also quite elusive. Iza was sure Izaya would know thathe was most active at night, but that was more or less a given. Was it possible that Izaya knew of the feline’s harbored anger towards people? Perhaps, butperhaps not. It was not as if they were personal with each other and it waseasy to tell the mask each of them wore. If anything they were more likestrangers despite the clear similarities and strong etched differences betweenthem.
How Izayacould love people made Iza sick to his stomach; although, the irony is that Izaneeded people even if he would rather be apart from them. Without people he wassure he would have gone insane years ago, whether that was reverting back intohis cat-likeness or perhaps he would have been so far gone in his own madnessthat he would have ended up like Sinzuo: an anti-social being that would attackif provoked.
It would havebeen easy to claim that he too, loved people as much as Izaya and was thereason he chose to kill them but how insane must he be to think that? It wasalmost laughable. There was no simple answer for the reasons why Iza acts theway he does or has developed this mentality of him against the world.
Simply put: He was unstable. Iza always held a front to appear acertain way towards people depending on his needs and desires. It was clearlydebatable who was more dangerous, but Iza liked to think that he was better andfar more dangerous than someone like Izaya.
Who elsecould kill in cold blood and never think of it again? Hell, who could see it asa sport and a simple game? That’s all it was to Iza, just a simple game. Heknew Izaya liked games, but perhaps not as crucial or dangerous as Iza’s typesof games. It was debatable, but perhaps it wouldn’t be debatable for muchlonger.
Iza pushedhimself off his chair. If anyone should get rid of Izaya it should be him.Forget Shizuo, he would never have the nerve to finish the job, but he knew tonot be hasty. For all he knew Izaya could always be prepared foranything.
                                                             ⚔️⚔️
It had been several days ofassuring this would secure the kill.
Did Iza have a real reason tokill Izaya? No.                 Was he going to do itanyway? Yes.
Lurking around downtown, Izawaited patiently for his moment. One could say Iza was at his lowest point. Healready knew he could never be human and he figured he may as well never becomeone. Surely, it would be easy for Izaya to pick a fight with someone likeIza.
An ear turned, hearing light sounds of footsteps and cheerful humming. That had to be Izaya.Who else would sound as if he were cheerful about mayhem? Aside from Iza, ofcourse.
The only problem now wascatching Izaya. Iza knew Izaya to have a lot of agility, but even Iza himselfhad the reflexes of a cat and many capabilities Izaya didn’t have, such asbeing able to see in the dark much more clearly.
Iza thoughtabout his next move: Would Izaya be curious enough to check a sound from analleyway?
Easily, Iza knocked over a trashcan and hid himself from sight. He heard the footsteps come closer, sounding asif they were carrying his target to the area to check out what hadhappened.
Sure enough, there was Izayalooking over the area with curiosity. Instantly, Iza meowed in a pitch Izayawould recognize as a completely different cat.
He heard Izaya sigh, “Justa damn cat. I should have known.”
Iza peaked from his hiding spotin time to see Izaya turn around uninterested and Iza took this chance. Withlight footsteps he crept up behind the informant and pulled out his pocketknife. As he was about to make his mark at a vital, it was blocked. Iza was notsurprised, he expected this much of Izaya.
The adrenaline rush had startedto appear, heightening both Izaya’s and Iza’s senses.
“And just what are you doing?”
At Izaya’swords Iza couldn’t help his facade of false love, “Why, I’m simply showingmy love for you Izaya-san. So, why don’t you let me express it?”
Izaya jumped back, keeping hiscalm composure, he remembered a situation similar to this, having to do with ademon blade wielded by Anri Sonohara. He couldn’t help but wonder if the plagueof Saika children were returning. There was something off about the half-felinein front of him, appearing as if he was intending to commit to killinghim.
As an information broker, all Izaya hadto rely on was the information he gathered and his own wits. With keen eyes,Izaya simply observed, being wary of Iza.
Iza brought his hands together,as if he were about to pray, his right hand still holding the pocketknife, “How mean, Izaya-san has nothing to say about my love for him.” Izacontinued the facade, hoping to confuse Izaya. Easily, Iza twirled his knifebetween his fingers as if he had done the actions hundreds of thousands oftimes and walked towards him. There was a grin on Iza’s face as he approached, much like a cat that has caught a mouse.
“It doesn’t matter if you loveme Izaya-san. I already know you don’t care for me. Another love lost meansabsolutely nothing to me.”
Izaya backed up with each stepIza took. This was not the same as the fights he would have with Shizuo.Something about this was completely different, but at the same time he canunderstand just what it was. The glint in the feline’s eyes shone bright;although, it was not the same as the way Saika’s curse would make a victim’seyes shine. Feeling threatened, Izaya raised his knife, “What is it that youwant from me, Kitten?” Izaya asked, keeping his voice steady. He didn’t want toprovoke Iza any further.
Iza stopped walking and held hisknife in his hand. His ears leaned forward hearing Izaya call him ‘Kitten’. Thefeline was not insulted by this but, to think Izaya would call him Kitten hadthrown him off. Iza’s tail flicked to the side in annoyance along with an eartwitching, and instantly Izaya noticed this.
“How annoying.” As much as Izadid love to be called Kitten, it was reserved for people he could tolerate, gotalong with, or if they were a master of his. Hearing Izaya say it; it sounded wrong. As if it were implying thatIzaya was someone he could tolerate, when in reality it was hardly the truth. For worse, Iza felt as if Izaya had intentionally implied that he owned him.
Izaya wasn’t sure how to feeltowards Iza’s words and felt he had made a mistake. Most cats, or at least hiscats, liked to be call pet names. Looking at Iza again, he looked as if he hadgotten wounded with his ears flat and his tail swaying left to right and backagain. From what he knew of cat body language, that was not a good sign. Itmeant that he had just further angered a feline who was more than willing topounce for the kill.
Iza was furious and the knife inhis hand looked much more pleasant than it did earlier. The only thing that wasmissing from such a beautiful blade was of course, a dark color. It was almost convenientthat Izaya was there, even though Iza did plan for this. If the blade didn’twork Iza always did have other ways of completing the task, but he wasdetermined to get this done within the night.
“I’m not your kitten, don’t youdare say that to me.” Iza hissed the words, narrowed eyes looked at Izaya.
Izaya took that as a sign toturn and run, which he did. Iza didn’t say anything, instead he followed behindthe informant. Izaya was going to treat this as the same as he would run fromShizuo, except he was going to be dodging large objects like trash cans orvending machines. Instead, Izaya would have to dodge small needles, which was aharder task than dodge something large; given the fact Iza had excellent aim itwas difficult.
In a quick turn, Izaya tossed afew of his own knifes that he had.
Easily Iza deflected the knifes, and tossed a needle to a pressure point when Izaya had turned back around. Izamissed the pressure point in Izaya’s leg, but anything was better than nothitting at all. It would make it easier to catch Izaya if he was slowed down. Evenif Iza had punctured one of Izaya’s legs he kept throwing needles, anything toget Izaya to start bleeding. If there was blood in the air, the easier theinformant would be to find.
When he felt a prick on the backof his thigh, Izaya hissed. It didn’t feel like a knife, instead he figured itwas something small, but it hurt just as much as a knife would. He also felt aneedle scrap his cheek, where blood had started to seep down. There was nothingIzaya could do about that. Right now, he had to find a place hide, or at leastbuy himself time. Izaya make a sharp right turn down an alley way. He tried toscale up the wall, but just as he was about to jump he felt another pain in hisleft leg.
Iza had punctured a pressurepoint and down fell Izaya to the floor. It felt like he couldn’t move his legat all with two needles in his leg. It was ironic for Iza to be using needles regardless,he was deathly afraid of them, but Iza quickly found that he could hold andwield the needles just fine. If they were being used against him there was no wayhe could fight without anxiety taking over his senses.
As Izaya was, Iza felt he hadjust won this fight. Izaya was on the floor clutching his leg. Iza gave a coy smile,it didn’t fit the situation. It almost looked as if Iza was having fun withthis hunt. If Izaya knew any better, he had just played into Iza’s cat-likeinstincts to hunt and kill. As if to rub more salt into the wound, Iza threwhis knife into Izaya’s already punctured leg.
Izaya hissed at the knife beinglunged into his leg but he kept a cool exterior. “You wouldn’t just kill me,would you?” The informant inquired hoping to buy more time and hoped to change Iza’s mind. There was no way Iza could kill him. Right? He knew Iza to be quite docile.
Ears leaned forward hearing whatIzaya said and Iza couldn’t help but give a small laugh. Iza took another knifeout of his pocket and looked at it, as if it had the answer on it. “I have noreason to.” Iza said simply.
Izaya had felt a shimmer ofhope. He was certain Iza wouldn’t go through with it now, it’s when he noticedthe glint in Iza’s eyes and how his hand had tightened on the blade.
“But that wouldn’t stop me fromdoing it just for fun.”
The words sent a shiver downIzaya’s spine. He wasn’t ready to die. Not yet.
Izaya hadn’t thought he wouldfeel this feeling of intense fear and with no way of running away; what were thechances of his survival? He still had his knife, surely, he could fight Izaback, but the feline had an advantage.
The informant invaded death forso long, how could someone like Iza catch him so easily? Even Shizuo couldn’tcatch him besides destroying part of the city in order to accomplish such afeat. Izaya took the blade out of his leg, as much as it hurt he had to armhimself. It was almost strange how Iza was just watching almost waiting forIzaya to right back, but maybe that’s what Iza wanted.
Iza watched how Izaya pushedhimself up with the help of the alley way wall. He still wanted to play, if youcould call this playing. It would have been boring if Izaya had given up soeasily; although, this was a sign of uncertainty if a cat couldn’t finish offcaught prey. Iza figured Izaya wouldn’t know that. How often has his cats broughthim mice? Since when had Izaya ever had a mouse in his apartment? From whatIza remembered, Izaya’s apartment was very clean.
Seeing Izaya struggle to stay upon his leg, and hold out the knife as if to make distance between the two. Izasaw this as a means of defense. What else could Izaya do in this situation? Itwasn’t as if he had help or if he had foreseen this happening to him.
Iza took a step forward and whenhe did Izaya moved back. The feline frowned.
               How mean.
Izaya gritted his teeth as Izawalked towards him. He could try to run again or he could try to fight Iza withhis own throwing knifes but he was sure Iza would be expecting either answer to his unasked question.
What are you going to do now?
Izaya sighed. What can he do inthis situation? Who would help him of all people? Iza was closing in and histime was running short.
Maybe there are no other options…Ican’t get through to him, so what would stop him from killing me anyway? Izayathought bitterly, and with no other option left he dropped his arm that heldthe knife to his side and dropped the knifes to the concrete floor. The informant turned so his back was pressed against thewall instead of his side.
Iza saw this action as a meansof surrender. It was the right choice he felt. It would make it easier to getrid of the other quickly. The feline got in front of Izaya who looked as if hehad already accepted his fate and placed a hand on Izaya’s cheek, in a sweet gesture“Don’t worry Izaya-san, I’m sure someone will come after me just as I have cameafter you.”
Izaya didn’t know what Iza wastalking about. It wasn’t making sense, but it felt as if Iza was trying tosooth him that he death wouldn’t be in vain. It was almost sweet of Iza to talkthis way, but as sweet as it was there was bitterness not to long after.
Iza had no real sympathy forIzaya other than the fact he was about to die. The feline was not acold-hearted killer as he made himself out to be.
For a pretty last image, Izaclosed his eyes and pressed a kiss on Izaya’s lips; a kiss of death.
Izaya couldn’t help himself, itwas very symbolic, if not ironic. Then, a stab to his heart and suddenly, hewas heartbroken.
Iza pulled away from the kisswhen he had stabbed Izaya. He couldn’t help but lightly laugh seeing the lookon Izaya’s face. It was not exactly peaceful, nor was it hurt rather it seemedas if Izaya understood everything now.
It had been a few minutes and Izayawas long gone now. His blood was on Iza’s hands, but Iza felt it wasappropriate. The only question Iza had for himself was what he was going to donow. Guilt never did hurt him or else he wouldn’t have been able to get rid ofthe hundreds, if not thousands of people that came before Izaya.
Although, something about thisfelt off. No more competition.
               How boring.
