The oldest known pet cat existed around 9,500 years ago. In 2004, a French archeologist found a grave of a cat in Cyprus dating back to 9,500 years ago, meaning that humans have owned cats as pets since then!

Cats also have an additional tool to enhance their sense of smell. Cats have a special organ called Jacobson's organ (or the vomeronasal organ) that is located inside the nasal cavity and opens into the roof of the mouth, right behind the upper incisors.

I feel like Keppino is that type of character where even though they try their hardest to be edgy and brooding and Totally A Lone Wolf Bad Boy™ it is impossible to take them seriously. Their so goofy that all tries to be edgy fall flat on their face.

BEHQHHAHAH no honestly tho you're right for the ending part. I cannot take her too serious bc she is a Fake Peppino Critter and like, the og is so goofy and shaped that Keppino also falls onto this line of goofy and shaped. But that is something I'm glad about! I wouldn't want Keppino to be too serious or edgy anyways ^^

The truth about Keppino tho is that it doesn't really try to be the edgy thing that you'd expect them to be! They're actually simply quiet and, due to how they were created to look, give off that aura. I'm sure this was what was wanted of him but he kinda just does what he needs to do and moves on! While this does give it that aura of bad boy, trust me Keppino is just. A silly and kind fella. Quiet, but willing to like pick flowers with others and make cupcakes and listen to cute/upbeat sounding music, etc etc!! (Later in lore of course !)

ok this is really self-indulgent but. could we get some hc's for yunobo with a crush or s/o, whichevers easier, thats really good with kids? its cute that slergo and offrak are yunobo's assistants and im?? not actually sure what the whole deal with that is but like. they're still kids, let them be a lil goofy silly, as a treat 🥺

So I'm actually of the firm belief that Yunobo does let Slergo & Offrak be kids! There's a little piece of information that I won't mention (but you can find it in Yunobo's bedroom), that tells you why those are boys are with Yunobo all the time! However, I think he recognizes that they're still little, no matter how smart they may be, so I'd like to think he doesn't really push them to do much other than simple tasks. Teach them the value of hard work and helping your community, but without taking away all of their fun, etc. Alrighty, headcanons! I'm gonna make it x reader style (I hope that's okay) and it'll be gender neutral (aka no gendered pronouns)

Whenever you arrive in Goron City, the children always love flocking to you! You always show them extraordinary kindness and make time to play with them whenever you're in town.

Though it wasn't always this way - luckily Yunobo, as your significant other, was sweet enough to introduce you to the townsfolk and out of sheer fascination, they all just started asking questions about you. Where were you from? How did you know Yunobo? You didn't look like a Goron - so what were you?

You love teaching them about things you learned along your travels - the different kind of uses for all the gems that Goron City mined or what kind of fruits would keep them warm in cold areas. They also loved to hear all the stories you had to tell about the monsters and critters around Hyrule (Satori was still their favorite to hear).

Mine-carting with the kids was something you thoroughly enjoyed; they often pulled you away from Yunobo in order to ride in Mine Cart Land with you, and you always made sure you had plenty of rupees on hand so everyone could get their fill of zooming around the amusement cave.

Offrak and Slergo you were especially close to. Being that they were often at Yunobo's side, helping him with YunoboCo, you came to spend quite some time with them. So much so that they start referring to you as an older sibling, and it lights your heart up with joy. You remember fondly of an evening after a long day of running errands, the boys being so tired after that you found them curled up and snoozing in the lobby of YunoboCo. With you carrying one, and Yunobo carrying the other, you took them both back home to their beds, carefully making sure they weren't disturbed as you did.

Yunobo watches you with adoration with how gentle and caring you are towards the little ones in the city. They took to you quickly, and whenever you'd leave, he'd be asked about the next time you'd be back because they couldn't wait to see you again!

With how much he already loves you, it makes Yunobo wonder how you'd be as a parent of your own little one...with him. The idea of a life of domesticity with him makes the Goron flush wildly - but he realizes it would only make senses, and that kind of thing he can find himself only wanting with you.

ROUND ONE MATCHUP TWO: GOOFY CRITTER

In this matchup, we'll be seeing the Dahu face off with the Cactus Cat! Similar to our first round, these are both just silly little critters. They differ from the hoaxes because these guys weren't created specifically to trick people, they're just silly.

The DAHU is native to the mountains of Europe. At first glance, it may appear to be a simple goat or deer-type creature! But if you look a little closer, you'll notice that the Dahu has uneven legs. This is for better movement up and down the steep cliffs. As the story goes, there are two subspecies of Dahu -- the laevogyrous which goes up and down counterclockwise using shortened left legs, and the dextrogyre which goes clockwise with short legs on the right.

The CACTUS CAT is from the American Southwest. Unlike what's pictured here, the Cactus Cat doesn't actually look like a cactus. Instead, it looks more like a regular bobcat (plus a fancy barbed tail). The name comes from the beast's tendency to slash open random cactus with its ferocious claws to drink the juice inside. And according to legend, the Cactus Cat is a bit of a lush, because the juice is fermented and therefore alcoholic!

and you're right anon!! i'm kind of in my feels about them thinking about the s2 ending [sniffs] i feel the top magic types eda can teach raine are: illusion, beast keeping, and construction

for context, all these HCs apply for before eda's curse tore them apart

illusion magic

personally i think illusion magic is one of the best magic to go hand-in-had with bard magic

bard magic is centered on music, and with illusion magic, it can help with special effects in performances

illusion magic is the magic raine got to get the hang of the most and the quickest - they specialize in creating mimics or replicas

it's also the most playful session raine and eda have in the teaching sessions

they get to make silly and goofy copies of belos, bump, and the others + doing the best (or worst) impressions imaginable

no one's keeping track but eda totally has better impressions with being putting a comedic spin on them and raine has the better impressions with the accuracy of mannerisms

beast keeping magic

listen, listen, eda's mom is part of the beast keeping coven i'm a firm believer eda got a thing or two from gwendolyn

just picture this: birds and all types of critters approaching raine, combined with their musical talent raine is disney royalty baybehhh

eda will just be awe-struck at how much of a natural raine is with beasts, maybe get a little jealous they're having raine's attention more but she's just so glad to see them so happy (with how raine's having some difficulty making friends, those fellas are the closest thing they have to a friend besides eda)

and since eberwolf (the head of beast keeping coven) is raine's ally, it's bonus points for them to be familiar with beast keeping magic which easily helps them be friends

construction magic

now i don't know about dell's magic but if eda's dad carved palismen before, i feel that there coulddd be a relation with construction magic

personally i like to think that construction magic goes beyond building houses and establishments - i think it can be used with creating and crafting things in general

both eda and raine are creative individuals!

imagine them making instruments together just [sniffs] imagine if they kept that first instrument they made together

the lute raine made has a very high pitched tuning, but they're so fond of the craftsmanship and design on its body because eda painted it for him and carved it a bit with dell's help

maybe that's why raine only ever uses the violin now, because picking up a lute reminds them of eda

the tambourine eda made makes doesn't sound as elegant as she hoped because of how the rims are varying in sizes so the jingle jangles clink in different intervals, but raine put so much effort on sewing a beautiful pattern on the head that she keeps it for the memories <33

Non fandom related but

I don't know if this has been answered before, but why do you have a fascination with birds? In light of some hints I see in your post, including the most used tag on your account, my personal favorite birds are Great Horned Owls!

I am happy to answer non-fandom related asks :) The reason I have such a fascination with birds is because ah, I'm super duper autistic and they have been in some form or another my special interest since I was 11 years old, and I'm currently working towards a career in ornithology right now.

It's hard to pick a single bird when ever single one I see is more radiant then the sun and softer then dust motes, but, if I had to choose my two favorites would have to be [in no particular order]: Great Blue Heron: These lovely creatures fill me with a deep joy. Most would say their defining traits would be their elegance, and while I don't say they're not ! I would say that they can look adorably awkward on their big stilts of legs :) [my most recent post w/ bird skeletons [grace] were Heron skeletons actually [though not all specifically Great Blue Herons]] [they are also Extremely fun to draw, you can add a certain bit of mystique with their strange anatomy that you can't really get with any other critter!]

Mourning Doves: These sweet drops of candy can get me giggly and peppy with nothing but a ruffle. They have such big empty eyes I can not help but fall madly deeply in love; who let them have little drops of burnt sugar attached to their itty-bitty faces? &! When they do strechs and puff up their wings they look softer then freshly fallen sediment, it is hard not to adore them :) Honorable mentions would probably be: Bar owls: they are treebark and lycan and freshly fallen ash, and also supremely stupid . [/aff] they are Burning dust caught in the air in a midsummer morning! !!!

Red tailed hawks: Ohh red tailed hawks, I'm filled with a deep longing and envy when I see them, to be a sunset and fallen trees and autumn all at once, is it hard to be more radiant than the [eye of heaven]?

Kestrel: these guys! goofy silly :) [their steel greys and bracketed blacks and lovely oranges are so so So lvoely]

Fuecoco's my favourite starter Pokémon! He's just so goofy and silly. Not a single thought behind those eyes. /pos (Also I have a little Gen 9 bias but shh /lh) Overall I just really like Fire starters c:

I also really appreciate Sandygast, small sandcastle fella who was my first shiny in Scarlet/Violet (the black colours are amazing too!) Gen 3 to Gen 6 the designs peaked imo, but I seriously love every single one of those critters :] Name any Pokémon and I will go on a mini-rant talking about how I appreciate them.

Honourable mentions goes to the Chimchar line, the elemental monkeys (people hate them but I think they're really neat), the Turtwig line, the Gligar line, Buizel, and East (Blue) Shellos!!

As for Pokémon characters! I'm very basic haha, fav champion would probably be Cynthia (or Steven/Wallace), they're just soo cool!! The Gen 9 rival-trio scores really high in my heart, they just have so much personality even just in-game, and watching them banter and talk to each other was such a nice experience. I particularly like Nemona because she's just so excited to see me!! Gets me pumped up too :D Penny is just a solid mood and Arven needs a hug and more dogs.

Honourable mentions goes to Team Rocket (Jessie, James, Meowth, Wobbuffet), Clemont (from the XYZ anime), and the Sun & Moon anime squad!

I probably forgot a bunch as I can guarantee I like a lot more characters and Pokémon than I listed out here.

When it comes to arachnids I'd always been more of a spider person maybe because of spiders being cute and fluffy and scorpions not being fluffy, I also thing I subconsciously absorbed some of the depictions of scpriopns in media being like, angry and boring looking, idk I just never thought a lot about them? It wasn't until I saw my Asian forest scorpion up close for sale in petco I was struck by how SILLY these critters faces actually look i was never aware of, and they have cute little toes just like spiders, i couldn't resist bringing him home and since then I've had such a love for scorpions perhaps more than tarantulas, ironically in a way because I have no fear handling spiders by hand but something about the scorpion stinger makes me too nervous even though I know they're not all that different when it comes to disposition I likely wouldn't be stung, I dunno, but I do love watching the goofy little guys walk around and eat, the way they hold prey in their crab claws is also so charming

Now I own two but I'm feeling like I'd want more, if I ended up going to another reptile expo I'd probably end up buying another scorpion haha

holyshit the Critters movies (yes there's more than one) are NOT goofy. Gremlins movies are goofy, the plot of Critters is basically fuzzy ravenous piranhas from space hit a small town and eat people. I saw the first one when i was like 8 and was traumatic. As an adult I can acknowledge that the film are not really super scary by today's standards, but again, these aren't really goofy like the Tremors movies or Gremlins. They're /meant/ to be scary, not funny. Just wanted to warn you!

Eek! Is that so? The wiki summary sounded pretty silly (alien bounty hunters, neat), haha, but I'll take your word for it. I was actually terrified of Gremlins and Tremors as a kid... and I guess a lot of creature (puppet) based and schlocky horror movies I have watched now tend to be un/intentionally funny to me. :)

I started doing 30 days a little bit ago but I missed some days and then didn't finish because some stuff happened and also, I'm not a 24/7 regressor and I even go chunks of time without regressing and I only use my blog when I am regressed. Soooo I'm just going to answer a bunch of these in a kinda long post!

1. Yes, I sleep with many stuffies actually! I have so many and I put them around me often. I recently got a Mickey and I love his texture!

2. I don't have a cg. I have a lot of chronic health problems so I live at home with my bio mom (who knows I openly enjoy childlike things, but not specifically that I regress). Because I rarely go out, and rarely interact with others even online, I haven't ever had a caregiver. A few years ago a considered asking my (now ex)bf how he felt about it but when I sort of tested the waters about his thoughts on regressors it... didn't go well so I never brought it up again. Also my bio mom does help me with some things, but she does that because of my health issues and not because I'm smol.

3. Aquarium! I like the museum and the zoo a lot too, and also just going to the mall, or target! But the aquarium is my favorite and I miss it!!

4. I don't use a paci, for a few reasons but mostly I don't tend to regress that young. I do have chewelry though! I use that when I'm big also.

5. Blue! I also like red! And green! And sometimes purple!

6. Stuffies! I love blankies too and have a handful of baby blankets, mostly because I am Very sensitive to textures and hate certain ones, but I like a lot of baby ones. I have so many stuffies though. I've loved them all my life and I still buy new ones when I find ones I love.

7. Fall! But I do like spring for how sunny it is, even if I normally stay inside.

8. I like watching movies/YouTube/TV and sometimes playing games (switch, board games, in phone games). I used to really like to color but one of my health problems affects my hands and I usually can't color very much.

9. Coloring better than drawing! When big, I'm kind of an artist, and so it's still hard for that part of my brain to turn off when little. Coloring doesn't matter how it looks but I can be perfectionist about my drawings.

10. It changes! I love love love Little Mermaid! Also Aladdin! And Lion King! When Tangled came out I watched it every day for months. Same with Moana.

11. Donald! At least out of the main crew. I also love Mickey and Goofy. I've always loved Eeyore. And Sully. And Tigger!

12. Probably Ariel + Eric, I love both! I like Belle and Beast too.

13. Octonauts is a top fave. I watch a lot of YouTube and less TV shows though.

14. I really like Fred Jones from Scooby Doo

15. Yes, I have a dog! He's a big white husky and I call him "silly butt" so often he responds to that just as much as his actual name.

16. I've always really loved dragons so probably one of those!

18. I have many. It depends on the day to which one I snuggle or bring with me around the house. Most of them are baby blankets, one is a star wars blankie, and some are Cloak brand blankets (they're so big and usually silky-soft)

19. Lavender is one of my favorite smells! I also have a pain relief blend with lavender, peppermint, wintergreen, and more that I love! I also just got some candles and oils from Magic Candle Company and their Jungle Cruise scent (I think it's call Jungle Boat) is one of my new favorite smells!

20. I think it was Spiderman! And iron fist! It was a few months ago during a better day

21. Crayons! Sometimes markers and colored pencils!

22. I'm an Aries! But my moon is cancer and rising is aquarius which are both water signs! Which makes me a weird Aries sometimes!

23. Disney stores!!! It's like a little piece of magic! I live pretty far from either park (though Disneyland is my park) and it's nice to visit something like that without having to have a lot of money and travel. But sadly the one that's near me closed as part of a lot of closures Disney did. Now the closest one is at least an hour drive away and I don't like that mall as much. Also I do like build a bear but they don't always have things I actually want, especially cuz each store has different critters. I got Nala the last time I was in a Disney store.

24. Fave games... Hm well I'm deeply attached to Kingdom Hearts (even if I haven't finished the 3rd game). I really love the Dark Pictures Anthology games! They are spooky and werid but I am sometimes a spooky baby.

25. I really love fruit! Applesauce and fruit leathers are easiest for me to get myself, but sometimes my mom will help me with a clementine or cutting up an apple. Sometimes I have pudding, or dry cereal.

26. Juice! All different kinds!

27. Chocolate!!! I had ding-dongs for breakfast the other day when I was regressed early.

28. Lots of stuff and weirdly at the same time very few things. I have some pretty bad social anxiety, and also generalized anxiety. And yet there aren't as many specific things I fear. I really don't like creepy crawlies (spiders and most bugs) but I can deal with them, and when I'm outside I just leave them alone! I'm usually very paranoid about sounds and stuff but that fades when I'm regressed.

29. I'm really bad at finding something "unique" to talk about! I don't feel like I have any random of cool skills. I am also limited by my chronic health conditions and so I don't have exciting or relatable things to talk about very much... How about... I am super nerdy! I have a bunch of fixations that cycle around and they are all like, TV shows or movies or books or genres or games. Ummmm also I just bought my second official Mermaid tailskin. I have a mermaid tail my friends and I made a long time ago, but last year I finally got a monofin and actual professionally made tail! And I just got another tail to go over the same monofin. I don't have anywhere to regularly swim near me :( but I still really wanted a more bright/colorful tail than my first one!

30. This is gonna come off as odd maybe but being in a lot of pain can put me in little space. My chronic pain can fluctuate and sometimes when it's really bad or multiple of my issues are bad at once I involuntarily regress. It helps me stress out less and deal with my pain in a more simple way. And that it's okay if I need to cry. And it helps me get distracted by simple stuff and stop focusing on my pain level.
