Here's a little revamp/update on Chrysta that I've been meaning to do for a good while now! Our girl has got a few new looks for her more casual or formal days, along with her very first and original outfit! [Tap for better quality]
I gotta say I had a blast drawing this... It's been almost a full year since I made Chrysta and got into the Fandom, this is my little self anniversary gift! Hope you guys love her as much as I have over the past months! 🩷

Do you ever feel like "oh boi that media is really interesting, it's my new obsession now, I love it, I wanna consume everything relating to it, beautiful, wow, fantastic. It's so inspiring! I want to make art for it!!! " but you also feel like you need a sort of "incubation time" to process everything and find the courage to "ruin" your new favorite media with your own creations? When in reality you are just doing what makes you happy and fueling the fandom of the thing you like?

Finally updated Mars' ref: Now including wings!! He hasn't had wings since his very first design (back when I was 13/14 and he was just a regular red dragon) and, well, I missed em! I've been debating giving him vestigial wings for a long time and decided why not! Optional, that way when I inevitably forget to draw them, I don't feel too bad about it LOL

Well now I’m curious how often the group plays with the toe beans. Or just gives the otta’s foot rubs. Bet Thea loves massages.
They used to play with the toe beans more when the ottas were babies since their feet were small and easy to handle. But it gets harder to play with the beans when the otta's feet grow to be the size of your own face. However, the squad actually have a very specific reason to mess with the otta's beans even when they're adults!
An otta's ideal environments are places that are very wet/damp. They do best when there's a lot of moisture, and their skin and coats are specially adapted to this. So when they spend a lot of time in places that are more dry/arid (like a ship's cargo bay), their coats and foot pads start to dry out and that can get very uncomfortable for them. To combat this, the squad give the ottas regular baths with special shampoo that keeps their skin and coats healthy, and then they apply an ointment to their footpads that keep them moisturized. To make applying it easier, Knox taught the ottas to roll over on their backs so he can hold their feet up to brush the ointment on. The ottas then lay there for a bit to let it soak in. It turns out looking something like this:
Thea can't stand it, obviously.
