“I hate the script, the vault dwellers sound so cheesy—“ my Brother in Steel you realize that’s the point, right? They were bred to act like the physical embodiment of an HR e-mail. Did you not catch the memo that Vault-Tec put out regarding their experiment facilities?
eleven is fascinating to me because he came right off the back of tens horrible traumatic breakdown after he lost everything and he immediately tried to establish himself as the opposite of that. he is funny and goofy and almost childlike, and he bulldozes on in his adventures with amy like nothing happened at all. but then something happens and his masks slips and it's like oh! the core of this man is still anger. he is so so angry all of the time and this façade is the only thing stopping him from being consumed by it. he isn't over any of it and he hasn't moved on. he is wearing a fez and laughing but under that all that exists is age old anger and grief and it is going to consume him
Sam: An ad for a new McDonald's sandwich, The Macbeth.
Ross (with a Scottish accent): Did ye work up an appetite (Jacquis and Anna start laughing) unseaming the foes of your liege lord from the nave to the chaps? When the dawn breaks, how shall ye break your fast?
Sam: Oh, shit!
Ross: The new McDonald's Macbeth, the only sandwich with meat taken from a cow that trusted the butcher with its very life.
The entire cast is laughing now.
Ross: That beef is placed upon a bun along with pickles and a super special sauce. (suddenly yelling) The new McDonald's Macbeth, it is a meal you shall wish to enjoy tomorrow and tomorrow.
The cast continues to laugh.
Ross: And tomorrow. (sings the McDonald's jingle) I'm loving it!
while I was looking for gabriels in the intro, I noticed this redheaded person w dark clothing and lighthaired person w light clothing that appear to kiss in the theatre:
i'm making this about the 1941 kiss theory

edit oct 7: a few kind people have mentioned that they remember a post from the official good omens account (possibly on twitter) that said the two people kissing are War & Pollution, and the shadow beside them is Famine. (If you have the link please send it this way! I have done a fair bit of searching but with no luck and it's haunting me bc it must be real but i can't find it)
@0owhatsamsays also pointed out that in the X-Ray bonus video "Title Sequence Easter Eggs" Peter Anderson says there are specific characters from season 1 in the highlighted boxes, and as you can see, the kissing booth (top level, far right) is one with a little trail of stars coming off of it.
the thing about joe hills of nashville tennessee is that on a server of folks roleplaying mad scientists and zombies and kings and creeper-goats and kakashi of naruto and mayors and businessmen and slimes and iskall and dungeon masters and doom guy and dwarves and elves and aliens and whatever the gigaverse is, you have Joe Hills The Regular Human Guy From Nashville (Tennessee), and yet his normalcy is frequently more bizarre somehow than whatever else is going on. and this never ever fails to enchant and delight me.
