Tout a déjà été dit sur Top Gun Maverick mis en Scène par Joseph Kosinski. Non seulement le film est un énorme carton au box-office et il a réussi à séduire la plupart des critiques. Je ne suis pas un fan de l’original réalisé par Tony Scott. Malgré un réel impact visuel, l’intrigue ne m’intéresse pas alors vous imaginez mon intérêt pour une telle suite…Sur grand écran, il faut avouer que ce second opus est une vraie claque. je crois qu’on a jamais vu un tel ballet aérien filmé avec cette rigueur d’authenticité. On voit que les acteurs et les techniciens ont mouillé leurs chemises pour nous offrir de tels plans. le côté « fan service » est bien sûr présent, mais il n’est jamais envahissant. Tom Cruise et Jennifer Connelly sont toujours aussi charismatiques. La séquence avec un Val Kilmer malade est assez émouvante. Même si l’intrigue est assez convenue, on peut y voir dans ce long-métrage une certaine introspection sur la carrière de Tom Cruise. Malgré son âge et ses différents déboires privés, il reste un acteur de premier plan et prouve qu’il est encore aujourd’hui la plus grande star masculine d’ Hollywood. Sommes-nous en face d’un chef-d’œuvre ? Bien sûr que non ! Top Gun Maverick est un blockbuster estival sincère, qui réussit avec un certain brio à allier action grand spectacle et émotion.
