Muppet Fact #801
Walter has said in an interview that he owns all of the Palisades Toys Muppet figurines except for the Dr. Teeth Variant Action Figure, which was a Wizard World East convention exclusive in 2002.

my biggest takeaway from star rail so far is that i actually cannot stand paimon. not having an unfunny floating screeching creature with a voice that makes my eardrums want to rupture so they may never experience the sorrow of registering the sound waves she emits is such a breath of fresh air.

TFNation Minicon haul:
(Some Earthspark bookmarks, IDW Megatron pencil case, Rise up banner, some 3D printed jet trail stands for my seekers, APC toys/gear factory Wheejack, and Masterpiece Thundercracker. I also bought some art prints but...)
I was planning on spending the weekend at Manchester and visiting the Museums on Sunday. Unfortunately something personal came up, so I ended up leaving early on Saturday so I didn't see the whole convention day. I ended up having to sprint to the train station in heavy rain to get home quickly... And unfortunately all the art prints I bought got soaked and ruined as I didn't have time to pack them away properly... :')
Unplanned rush home aside I did enjoy myself, and I saw Jack Lawrence's panel about his work in the comic industry, art process etc. which was interesting. His comments about art styles etc definitely made me feel a bit more confident about my work!
Masterpiece Thundercracker was a great find as its complete and was £100 off the RRP! I just need to get a little toy dog to make a buster to go with him!

Yeah furries are just artists with a particular interest. There’s bad people in every group but there’s good people too.

I've kinda become obsessed with these Pokemon bell plushies:
They were made between 1996 and 1997, and it seems like demand for them has worn down a bit, but based off LiveJournal posts circa 2008, they were selling for over 100€ at one point?
They are quite cute, honestly, but very simple: bodies are the most basic shapes possible & limbs / other details made with felt.

Anson Mount at Lexington Toy & Comic Convention
Anson's busy convention schedule continues! He did autograph signings and photo sessions at LCTC in Lexington, Kentucky - March 25 - 26 2023.
Fans at the convention described him as "awesome", "super warm", and "a genuine and down to Earth guy!" One fan gifted Anson the book of John and thanked the actor for talking to him about faith.
Here are some examples of items Anson has signed at the con: a baseball, Strange New Worlds photo of Captain Pike, and this very cool Marvel Illuminati poster of Black Bolt & Co from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

"Buonasera, this is my most treasured find from the Wonderland Of Play/Blythecon event. A 1967 Flying Nun Mini Doll-- NRFB, of course eheheh!"
"I also seem to have brought a little pest along-- a Jersey Devil! I appreciate the enthusiasm but I would like him to stop biting me, sí?"

I've always been amused by the concept of the "cereal convention" in The Sandman, and everyone wondering why there are no children there. Then today I was rewatching the show and I realized something.
That's not weird.
I work for (essentially) a toy company. Every year in NYC there's a huge toy convention called Toy Fair in the Javitt's Center. Children are not allowed.
It's a place for companies of all sizes - from gigantic companies like Mattel and Lego, down to smaller toy companies who sell things like (I am not joking) Mensch on a Bench, the Jewish answer to Elf on a Shelf -to debut their latest creations to resellers like the place I work for.
As far as I recall, tickets are free. You just need to prove that you work for a place that will buy wholesale and resell to the general public. They make their money from the wholesalers paying to be there. And, importantly,
No one under 18 is allowed inside the convention.
Perhaps they once let distributors bring their kids, or employees under 18, but I imagine at some point there were too many kids who just wanted to play with the toys instead of talking about pricing, wholesale, distribution, etc., so they made a blanket ban.
Anyway, all of this is to say it's not that weird to ban kids from a convention about a thing kids love. Sometimes it's completely necessary. (Even if your convention is actually about cereal and not murder.)
