hey!!! jules/tea here (depends on where you know my from). something has really caught my attention recently. In the cats fandom, there is so much content for tugger and munkustrap and mungojerrie and misto i get it that are very hot and easily relatable!! but there is also very little content for the queens. i am not trying to call anyone out cause yall are so valid!!!! but also i just wish there was more content for the ladies!! i remember going through the mungojerrie tag and there was a lot more personalized content for jer and for teazer it was all her and her mungojerrie...i love the chaos duo, but i just wish there was some more for my favorite feral queen, without her brother by her side. it is not just rumpleteazer that there is a lack of content for!! it is all the queens!! i wish i could see more with jenny and demeter and bomba and cassandra and all of them!! yes, this is an old fandom and a good amount of content is from 2012 but maybe we should take some time to appreciate the ladies cause they deserve the love too!! Alright, if they wanna go ahead and hammer down on an actual semi-linear plotline for the movie, then go for it man, but there better be at least something added in that addresses the nature of the Rum Tum Tugger and Mistoffelees relationship, even something as simple as in why of all the characters it’s Tugger that’s singing Mistoffelees song and pretty much doing exactly for Misto what he did for himself in his introductory number.

And if they, um, just so happen to dance together a few extra times because of it then so be it, no complaints here✨

About the new Cats movie, there is something that is scaring me, and scaring a bunch of other people.

If they make the strong sexual tension between Misto and Tugger non existent.

I just have to say, The Tugger x Misto ship is the most popular, and if not, one of the most popular ships in all of the cats fandom. Hell, Tyler Hanes (Rum Tum Tugger) has exotic fan art of the two together framed and on his walls.

It’s not that there was not enough evidence to add those portions of the movies. If they do not add them, they are just blandly stupid. They had a big sexual tension from the very first movie, and it’s even larger in the 2016 rerun. I read a few posts explaining experiences of seeing Cats this year, and all of them said there was strong sexual tension between the two toms, and went into more detail.

If they do not add any Misto x Tugger to this movie, they are not blind to it, but are Increadibly rude and very disrespectful to even at least some form of a relationship.

So I came up with this random HC concept of what the Cats would do at a butterfly farm. It's honestly trash, but I had fun making it.

Mistoffelees: probably enchaning the butterflies to change color or get bigger or land on Victoria, cause he knows she wants to hold them

Victoria: trying to hold the butterflies and would probably freak if she stepped on one

Mungojerrie: trying to eat them

Rumpleteazer: also trying to eat them

Munkustrap: chilling with the butterflies and trying to stop the twins from eating them

Demeter: looking at the flowers and maybe trying to touch the butterflies. She, of course, attracts most of them cause she's the calmest

Tugger: trying to catch them but not hurt them, just to look at them and maybe get Misto to change their colors to his liking

Bombalurina: trying her best to get red or black ones to land on her because they'd compliment her fur. Ends up attracting them because she's wearing floral perfume.

Tantomile: just admiring the colors

Coricopat: chasing them for a while, then gets tired and chills with them like Munk, which gets more of them to land on him

Etcetera: going into a frenzy chasing them, then getting so excited whenever they land on her that they fly away

Electra: trying to patiently teach etcetera how to properly attract the butterflies. Spoiler: it doesn't work.

Jemima: sitting completely still and quiet, and ends up attracting more butterflies than anyone else. Until Etcetera scares them off, that is.

Skimbleshanks: picking up butterflies gently to give to the kits so they can hold them

Jennyanydots: teaching them about butterflies and trying to make it educational

Jellylorum: scolding them if they try to hurt the butterflies

Asparagus Jr: is here to humor Jelly

Gus: quoting a midsummer night's dream or some other Shakespeare play

Bustopher: there to humor Jenny

Cassandra: acting annoyed and apathetic but secretly thrilled whenever a butterfly llands on her

Alonzo: staying with Cassandra and trying to get her to show she's enjoying this by trying to get butterflies to land on her, which just results in them flying away.

Old Deuteronomy: watching the butterflies and laughing whenever they land on him.
