Alrighty!!! And sorry for the day delay, some things came up but now I am here :D.

Putting it under the cut for length

So, I would think that Kagami and Danzo's relationship would always be a rather secret one. Kagami being an Uchiha, would definitely make it a little harder to just up and lead a relationship. I would think that their friends might expect something, bu they also don't know for certain, they just often like to tease them about being so close and seemingly understanding each other without a word.

But despite all that, Kagami and Danzo have a rather healthy and strong relationsip-.. in the beginning at least.

Of course with the closeness they have, it will instantly create suspicion when Danzo more and more withdraws, working on his secret plans, avoiding to say anythign about it when in the past, Kagami always had been the first one to know almost instantly. But Kagami can't know, because he is involved in those plans... not as someone that will carry out a task, but as someone to be a steppingstone in this.

Danzo being closed off of course leads to arguments, it starts with Kagami pestering him more and more, he is worried, he wants to know what is going on with Danzo, wants to know why he acts the way he does, but he just dismisses him until Kagami decides to take action. He needs to know and so he croses a boundary he never wanted to cross, snooping through his lovers papers and researches so he can hopefully find out what is wrong. This of course leads him to finding out what dark plans Danzo has and also, in what way he involves Kagami and also other Uchiha into it: Eyestealing.

The confrontation of course is nasty, Kagami is hurt and does not want to believe that those would be his true intentions and Danzo is straight out furious. The confrontation escalates into a fight, lots of words falling from each side until in a moment of vulnerability, Danzo just knocks Kagami out, deciding then and there that the first step for Kagami has already come. Danzo is not ready to just kill him, of course he still loves him but Kagami has powerful eyes that he needs for Konoha's protection and who knows? Maybe Kagami might turn around and attack the village one day, like Madara had. This is the day Kagami disappears, without anyone knowing how or what had happened to the Uchiha. And no one wold ever know until Danzo's death (where I think that they had searched through all of Danzo's things to know what things he had been involved in).

Okay so, for Kagami to actually experience the massacre, he would survive whatever killed him at the age of 25. So this will be rather canon compliant but we love us some AU's. Danzo was too selfiish to just let Kagami be slaughtered in the night of the massacre, so in the days leading up to this plan coming into frutition, he has his lover stay over at his place a lot more, but of course he also fiures out, that if Kagami finds out, that his entire clan, friends, family, people he is close to, are about to be wiped out, Kagami wouldn't jsut idly remain in Danzos apartment and wait it all out. In the night of the massacre, Danzo makes sure that he drugs him up, sealign him away in a safe compartment and Kagami doesn't even know what hit him until he wakes up again in a holding cell deep within the ROOT HQ.

His mind is foggy and he can barely understand the words spoken, nor is he even able to make out who is talking until he can see Danzo, surrounded by two of the ROOT Anbu working on his arm, which wouldn't be weird until-.... he can see the firece redness of the Sharingan looking back and forth... But not just one, multiple... and there were a lot more eyes he could spot on the table. Danzo is rather indifferent to Kagami's distress and rather tells him that he should be happy that Danzo decided to save him from this fate, solely because they were lovers, but of course, Kagami will learn to resent him, each day a little more.

Another route to this could of course be that Kagami just barely survives the massacre, or just survives out of sheer luck because he was out on a mission. Kagami understandably is shattered, no understanding what had happened and even less so: why? He knew Itachi, he had always been such a soft and kind child and suddenly he snapped and killed the whole clan... on his own? It doesn't make sense but that's all that Konoha knew. Kagami falls into depression, unable to really do anything anymore he just mindlessly accepts missions, that even put him at risk but he doesn't really care anymore. The only one who really makes him feel something good in his life is Danzo, who has been with him through everything, trying to see if they coul maybe even take Sasuke in so he would at least grow up with someone from his clan.

Things had pretty much been set for that to happen, until, out of fumb luck, Kagami finds out about Danzos involvement about the massacre. His world shatters all over again, the person he was trusting so much was behind all of this? Manipulated one of his kin to go against his own family and friends?

Now here we can either have Kagami just straight up giving up, not caring anymore and it could lead to an absolutely tragic end or just have Kagami rather... just being there physically. The other thing would be Kagami furiously confronting Danzo, or even dragging his ass to Hiruzen, who would probably find a way to just look over the crimes in favor of his friend.

I hope those takes were okay :'D. I also have a lot of other KagaDan tragic/angsty takes, but those don't really involve Danzo's general plans involving the Uchiha.
