Furious with the medical community today. Refused pain relief injections due to my weight. "Losing weight will help your pain. Injections will just mask it and you'll have no impetus to lose weight then." GET FUCKED. I hate our fatphobic medical system.
OH and then this PA at the rehab office said she was going to send a note to my PCP and tell her I should use Ozempic. And to get me to a nutritionist, because clearly I don't know what portion control is.
Excuse me, bitch. I probably know more about nutrition than you do.
Thankfully my PCP is, you know, sane? And will just be like, "yeah, get back to your post-surgery diet and you should be fine." and I'll be like "good idea, I should do that" because I should. I'm not stupid, I know that it will help my pain to lose weight. But it's fucking ridiculous that I'm being denied something that will help me be in less pain while that happens.

Hello everyone! I'm excited to start this blog and share my weight loss journey with you all.
I'm sure many of us can relate to the struggles of trying to lose weight, especially after having the SADI surgery.
What is SADI-S: SADI-S (Single anastomosis duodeno-ileal bypass with sleeve gastrectomy) is a newer variant of duodenal switch surgery, which for three decades has helped obese patients control their weight. The key benefit of SADI-S is that one intestinal bypass is made, rather than two, resulting in less time in surgery and reduced risk of intestinal leakage.
Let's look at the rollercoaster a little👇🏾👇🏾:
I remember feeling so hopeless before my surgery, like I was stuck in a never-ending cycle of dieting and gaining weight back. But since having the surgery, l've noticed a significant change in my appetite and eating habits. It's amazing how much more mindful I am now about what l put into my body.
However, the journey isn't without its challenges. There are days when I feel like giving up, when the cravings are too strong, or when I don't see the results I want as quickly as I'd like. That's why I'm so grateful for this group and the support that comes with it. Knowing that I'm not alone in this journey and that there are others who understand what I'm going through is incredibly comforting.
So, l'd love to hear from you all! How has your weight loss journey been so far? What are some of the challenges you've faced, and how have you overcome them?

So I was so excited because my husband and I went to see Bring Me The Horizon in concert.
And we had seats and were able to sit surprisingly comfortably in them.
And ofc the show was amazing
And I was feeling myself in my outfit and I wore my favourite boots that actually zipped up all the way!!
Check out this 1 year difference where each of us have since lost 20% of our body weights - EACH!!

And then we both woke up the next day with COVID.
Of course, the fact we are 8 weeks post op before we got sick is good I guess but winter is going to be hard this year.
Gonna have to get our masks back out I suppose.

Same spot. Entirely different lifestyle. Just under two years apart. Half the person I “once” was.

The number of ppl who are like “I had my surgery 3 weeks ago and only lost 10 lbs” like….
You’re not gonna lose 65 lbs in a month. Especially not when your body is healing from being literally sliced open.

VSG surgery!
Hi everyone!
I'm Hailey, and I had VSG surgery on December 13, 2022. When starting my weight loss Journey in September of 2022 I was 250 pounds exactly. On the day of surgery I was down to 217, and today I am down to 176. Are there any other sleevers on here? I would love to make some friends!
I am also 25, I have 2 kiddos, a husband, and a German Shepherd puppy.

I’ve lost 50 pounds in 5 months, the first thing I noticed was how my ankles felt like they were lighter less burdened I guess the second thing I noticed is I’m not as strong as I used to be mentally or physically but that’s okay I’m tired of being strong and third thing I noticed was I still don’t want to talk about my weight even as I gather love for myself it’s just not something that I’ve ever had the inclination to discuss no matter how often it’s brought up to me

I’ve never done this, and I feel very shy about it- if I’m honest.
This past year has been eventful for me, to say the least. I’m at the end of my weight loss journey now that I’m pretty much at target weight and I’m left with all the loose skin from years of being morbidly obese and abusing my body. My confidence and body dysmorphia because of this really affects me, both mentally and physically.
After taking my life back and working so hard to get to where I am now, I’m still left a slave to my body once again and am ashamed and embarrassed of my loose skin. The loose skin causes health issues like rashes and infections as well as ruining my confidence.
Some people suggested making a gofundme, as paying €8k for this surgery isn’t possible for me right now. I decided, what’s the harm? And made it. I’m not expecting anything, but if you could even just share this that would be amazing.
Thank you all for being on this weight loss journey with me and being so so supportive.
I appreciate every one of you💖
If anyone donates, just know I appreciate you so much
