REN FEST WAS SO FUN!!!! ♪(´▽｀) i showed up at lunchtime to enjoy a hearty baked potato and stayed late to watch the fire dancers! and my fishing net cape only got caught on stuff a couple times!! the weather was perfect-- couldn't ask for a better temperature to wear the odd combo of a faux fur vest with leggings. and believe it or not, i actually had people recognize me as Loki 🐍

basically my entire costume (except the snake) was either (1) thrifted or (2) put together on the cheap from craft store supplies. i'm super proud of how it looked given how little i managed to spend on it, and i'm already hard at work brainstorming all the big and small improvements i'll make for next year's festival (; ´д`)ゞ ...

Personally dislike the fact that urban street is littered with corporate storefront and franchises as the ultimate goal of economic growth and modernity. Bring back indie local store, mom and pop shop, smes, for that chaotic all-over-the-place aesthetic and actual livelihood

📮 do you like the countryside? would you leave the city for it?

Tbh i don't think I really have a clear grasp of a true countryside bc even though I grew up in a small farm town surrounded by a lot of land and nothingness, I wouldn't consider it the countryside — I think I envision more of a Steinbeck-like rolling expanse of hills & land where everyone and everything is spread out whereas all the "countryside" type places I've been to have more of a suburban sprawl vibe in my head. I do like the idea of living closer/within nature and farms but I love and rely too much on the accessibility and offerings of the city™️🌃🙏
