A sea-shore cowl for my godsister to use up some of the million chunky blue leftovers I have! I absolutely love how this came out since it was pretty much improvised.
Yarn: Stylecraft Special Chunky - my best guess at the shades is White, Duck Egg, Teal, Empire, and French Navy (they were all scraps without labels!)
Pattern: I used the ‘long wave stitch’ from this video for the main body of the cowl, and the ‘wave border’ from this video for the sea-foam edge!

As requested, here’s the progress on one of my “completed” whales :) Naturally, I still have to edge it and attach it to the jacket, but it’s so sparkly.
You can also see my nice antique pincushion in the back :)

I guess I forgot to post here yesterday for day 5...
I had bjork hair in the original photo.
The Great Wave shawl was my first brioche design. The shape reminds me of the water in “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” by master Japanese print maker Hokusai Katsushika. The woodcut shows the rough, foaming waters of the sea tossing the small boats of fishermen as they make their way through rough waters.
The wave shape is slightly curved to better wrap around your body and has an easy decorative motif along the edge and end. The size of your wave is fully adjustable and can be created in any weight yarn. All of the brioche increases and decreases used in the pattern are linked to video tutorials on my YouTube channel. It's a perfect project if you are already familiar with two color brioche stitch and are looking to take your skills to the next level

He sighs at all the people losing their minds over his brother's chest. It should've been obvious that denial would only spur Floyd on to stick his chest out more often and rub it into everyone's faces. At least Jade finds the entire thing quite amusing to watch.
