“The room swelters with heat, the strings warp and twist in her ear. Tom Riddle, murderer, encircles her, and they spin.”

Wolfer by Peppershark is one of the most unique magical AU’s of any fanfic I have ever read. Peppershark has a way with words that will fully immerse you into the world she creates and leave you pining for more.
Old West AU with magic.
Synopsis:
In the year 1889, Tom Riddle has travelled west to a little gold-rush town in the foothills of California’s High Sierras. What happens next shouldn’t have been so easy.
He never meant to find a woman this early in his plan, but lucky for Tom this little fury is just a firecracker of accidental magic.
It gives him a fine feeling seeing the preacher’s daughter going about the town, doing the Lord’s work, and not even knowing she belongs to him.
Of course, Hermione Granger doesn’t even know she’s a witch.

T-36 days until Camino Portugues
I've still to decide on my weapon of choice for kicking the Camino. Up until a couple of weeks ago I was planning on using the Yedoo Wolfer. I'd modified it a little fitting it with oversized tyres to handle less than perfect roads now having watched a video about the Camino Portugues I'm having doubts. My instinct says take the Kickbike Cross 29er. The Cross 29er is better suited to the job but I really worry about it's hydraulic brake lines getting damaged on the flight to Lisbon. The Wolfer is fast and agile but it's designed for racing, it uses regular bike parts and can be repaired by any bike shop. The Cross 29er is robust, it can handle really bad terrain. I proved that by once scooting down Croagh Patrick! I just worry about the disc brakes and hydraulics going bad, getting them repaired in the middle of Portugual I'm guessing would be difficult. What to do?

“…Tom prefers killing with his bare hands, without magic, because then he knows even his worst is still better than anybody…”
“…If death is the only thing more powerful than magic, Tom needs more. He needs to see it from all angles, to unspool its threads and find where it begins and ends…”

Are we going to get more Price of Water and Wolfer? Absolutely in love with your works 🫶 No rush just curious!
Yes, I’m in the middle of a Wolfer update! Last month my work got crazy but last week I picked up fun writing again because you have to keep doing the things that make you feel alive. Even when you’re busy.
Here is a snippet:
“Weasley!” Old man Filch barks.
Ron swings his muddled head.
The codger’s grin is wide as it is toothless.
“I thought you was the one who was sweet on the preacher’s daughter!”
Cold clarity cuts through Ron’s murky mind, wasting a perfectly decent buzz and a half day’s wage worth of shitty ale.
His own voice sounds dead in his ears.
“Well I ain’t the one going to the altar, now am I?” he replies darkly.
He must look powerfully down, or Filch and Hagrid wouldn’t have shut up like they just did. The pair turn back to their whiskeys with hang dog looks.
Outside the air has a damp pause, like spring has been lingering in the rich black soil underneath the morning frost and any day it will break through. Light hums along the mountains’ black silhouettes: dawn.
The scent of changing seasons mocks Ron.
Ain’t nothing new. Nothing, except the way he just spent the night drinking away money promised to his father.
He huffs a plume of mist, shouldering into his jacket.
“There a wedding?” comes a slurring voice from the shadows.
Ron is still too drunk to properly spin around.
“Thought I heard folks talking about little Miss Granger,” says the slumped-over form of James Potter.
How the man is downright skunked when he’s been six weeks barred from Stumpy’s, Ron couldn’t explain.
James wears a tattered overcoat and boots with their soles hanging open like jaws of a half-dead hound. Ron is shocked the man hasn’t frozen to the boardwalk one of these nights, though on second thought, perhaps the liquor warms him enough to keep him alive.
His salt-and peppered head bows, hatted with a fur trapper’s coonskin, and when he rises, he puts a near-empty fifth to his lips.
“She’s just a child,” the man says, his voice clearer for wetting his whistle.
“We’re all grown, Mr. Potter,” Ron says, a bitter feeling bobbing in his throat. “Harry too.”
Potter’s gaze snaps up to Ron’s, and Ron remembers the man had hazel eyes. Now, they’re faded like a dusty amber bottle.
