idol!wonwoo x idol!reader
small instances where both of your fanbases start to notice lingering looks between the two of you until it becomes so much more
a/n: this isn’t much but i had fun writing it, lmk what you think! :)
pt 2
the first interaction is when you’re presenting an award that seventeen happens to win
as you and your co-announcer pass out awards, your fingers brush against his as you congratulate him, and he flashes a smile at you
both of your fan bases were quick to screen grab the interaction, and it very quickly became a cherished moment of more to come
it was closely followed by a different interaction where both of your groups were talking on stage, and you were moving to the side and had tripped over the length of your gown
he was quick to catch you by the elbow to steady you on your two feet
the people around you gasped and moved to make room
which left a spotlight on the two of you
it was slightly comical the way you both looked at each other before turning to the audience with shy smiles
wonwoo stood behind you the rest of the time on stage
when it came time to leave, he offered you his arm as you stepped off the stage
with a bright smile his way, you accepted and walked off together
fans nearly had a heart attack
since then, people would point out almost every interaction between the two of you
if you would be in the same room and happen to make eye contact
during a game competition, you two get paired up together, and safe to say, you demolish the rest of the teams
wonwoo is an extremely smart man, and as are you a smart person, and after the episode airs, fans make memes on how you both make a dangerous and powerful duo
you were both quick to devise a plan, hushed whispers in the few seconds you had together, his shoulders shielding you from the rest of the room from where you both stood
your mics caught your plan clearly, and fans were impressed by how in sync you both were
he worked with distracting other people, making it seem like he was the one they should look out for
however it was you who gathered information and the hidden objects you were supposed to find to complete your mission
in the end, not only were you both able to complete your mission, but you were also able to hide the other object other groups were supposed to find, making it near impossible for them to find
the prize you both won was a coupon to a nearby cafe
it was adorable the way you both cheered in excitement for the coupon, wonwoo even raising your hands clasped together in the air in celebration
you would have thought that you both couldn’t afford your own coffees with the way you both cheered
the video ended with vlog footage of you both walking to the cafe
you held the camera in your hands facing you as you both walked to the location, camera tilted up to capture wonwoo in the frame
fans were surprised to see the way that wonwoo joked with you and tugged on the end of your hair to catch your attention to point to a billboard with your group in it
he took the camera from you to capture a shot of you smiling and posing in front of the billboard
when you took the camera from him, you also made him pose in front of the billboard, which was comical since you couldn’t see much of his face due to his hat and mask, but he did make a peace sign when posing to amuse you
he opened the door for you and stood behind you in line, even crouching down slightly in order to hear your answer when he asked what you were going to order
when it was your turn to order, he walked forward to place your orders before handing the cashier the coupon you both worked hard for
wonwoo even paid for the difference despite you trying to pay, and he stepped in front of you to block your way from the pin pad
you both sat down at a small table in the corner of the cafe side by side so you could both be in frame, and you rated the coffees you had bought
you weren’t the biggest fan of your own coffee, stating that it was slightly too bitter, and he was quick to switch out your straws and give you his cup
the video ended with you both waving goodbye, and safe to say, the video was trending for a week
when you posted a selfie together after the episode aired, it quickly became your most liked image on instagram
wonwoo also posted a different picture of you together standing back to back with your arms crossed
he captioned it “partner in crime”
you commented “dream team”
other svt members would comment under your posts demanding a rematch and wondering how they won
wonwoo would comment the shrugging emoji in response 🤷🏻‍♂️
you once post a picture if you out in the city
a few days later wonwoo posts a picture taken of him holding a camera, and fans were quick to notice the similar locations you were both in
when at other music events, there was footage of you waving to him from your seats with your group, and him shyly waving back
later when he walks with the rest of svt on the red carpet, fans notice him wearing a ring with the top facing in, and it’s not until he waves that people capture your initial on it
on your birthday when you post a clip of someone recording you with a cake while people sing happy birthday, fans swear they can hear wonwoo’s voice singing amongst the rest
one day you post the cutest kitten on your instagram page, showing your fans how you recently adopted a cat
a few months later, wonwoo posts a selfie of the same colored cat, only slightly bigger, sitting on top of an open book (presumably the one he was reading)
fans once spot you both visiting a bookstore and they just about died when they saw you walk out with the same book
at times, sometimes wonwoo is spotted exiting your company building while other times you are exiting his
fans are waiting for the collab tbh
you are both extremely private people, and any interactions you have together publicly has fans eating it UP
rumors of your potential relationship are all anyone talks about leading up to major events where both your groups will be attending
wonwoo surprisingly is the one to confirm the rumors two years later when he posts a mirror selfie of the two of you on your birthday with a simple cake emoji
the internet broke

summary. by a rather unpleasant string of events you find out who… or what your boyfriend really is
warnings. swearing, blood, violence (?) but nothing extreme, (a pinch of angst if u will)
au. vampire!wonwoo
a/n. first of all i’d like to thank zanna ( @slytherinshua ) , ola ( @l3visbby ) and kermit (@humongousbiscuitvoidtree ) for helping me out with certain aspects of this work!! tbh without you i wouldn’t write it <\3 so thank you sm, love you and check their blogs if you haven’t already >:T
second of all, i don’t want to spoil everything but as you can see from the au its a vampire thingy teehee but! i based the creations of vampires on the witcher (mostly the books/part 3 of the game (esp blood and wine))! i’m such a sucker for the witcher (without the tv series lol) so you know i had to teehee!! it’s pretty much briefly explained later in the work but if someone is interested i definitely recommend diving into the witcher or even checking it out on wiki!
word count. 4.7k 😟 the longest work of mine on tumblr 😟😟😟
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
wonwoo loves you. he’s sure that he never loved anyone like this before. if it was possible, he’d spend his entire life; infinity with you. if only.
you feel the same way, obviously. you can always feel the presence of his love, even if he himself may not be around. you love him so much that you sometimes feel as if your heart was about to jump out of your chest. he must feel it too because his pupils grow wider a bit (and he thinks you don’t see it). even his friends, including mingyu who knew him for like forever, told you he’s head over heels for you which made you melt on the spot.
you’ve been together for 6 years now and life with him is anything and more than you could have ever wanted. wonwoo is patient, funny and above all, caring. sometimes it makes you wonder what you did in your past life to deserve this; him.
“i’m home!” you call out, putting the groceries on the countertop. there was not only his shoes next to the doorstep but also someone else’s… if you were to take a guess, you’d bet it was mingyu.
you let out a deep sigh, reaching for a iced tea you bought for yourself.
your classes today were… harsh, to say at least. all you needed today was wonwoo’s arms around you. and a good nap.
overall your days were horrible lately. the ridiculous amount of uni work, your part time job and social life in general. there’s a new guy at your job and you can’t figure out what’s his problem with you. he’s always staring, throwing mean comments at you… the other day he almost got you fired.
you still haven’t talked about this with wonwoo. and you didn’t really want to because lately he seemed busy with something else. but if his - junwoo’s - behaviour is going to go on, you’ll reach out.
you closed your eyes, trying to forget it. you’re home now, it’s all good. just take a shower and go to bed.
you finished your ice tea and grabbed two that were left in your shopping bag. you passed by wonwoo’s office and knocked at the door gently. and before you could even move your hand away, your boyfriend called you in.
as you opened the door, as predicted, saw mingyu. he smiled at you. they were sitting at the desk, looking over at some papers.
“hi guys. hi baby” you hummed, trying to keep a positive tone. you walked up to wonwoo, placing a soft kiss on his forehead.
you put down the two bottles and smiled at them.
“i’ll go to sleep, i’m exhausted” you announced quietly and wonwoo nodded, sending you a warm smile.
“of course… i didn’t even realise it got so late. good night, dear” he hummed. you walked away, sending them a small wave and closed the door behind you. with a deep sigh you started mentally questioning if you have enough strength to do your skin care.
nowadays there is something important going on since wonwoo isn’t home a lot. he’s asleep when you wake up in the morning to attend your classes, sometimes you manage to share a quick cup of coffee. and when you’re back home from work late evening, he’s absent. you always text him once you’re home and when you check the other day, the read hour says something around 1am. it’s exhausting, it really is.
“nonu…” you mumbled quietly, entering your living room at some lazy sunday. weekends were the only days you could catch up, even a bit. he turned his head immediately, eyes landing on you.
“is something wrong?” he asked, concern in his voice.
“well… no. actually, yeah” you huffed and sat down next to him on the couch. he closed his book and a playful smile spread on your lips when you see it’s twilight, again.
“what’s wrong, darling?” wonwoo asked, shifting his full attention to you. he can sense you’re nervous so he grabs your hand. it feels like eternity since he did that, let alone kiss you properly or–
“i miss you” you pouted, avoiding eye contact.
“but i’m here” wonwoo teases you but let’s go when you don’t even snicker “‘m sorry. i know, work has been stressful lately. seungcheol got into some trouble and you know how it is…”
“i really don’t. we don’t even talk that much anymore. i know that it’s your work but it’s just….” you babbled, finally gaining courage to look up at him. your heart clenched at the sight of his sad frown “but i know how you can make it up for me…”
“oh?” the corner of wonwoo’s mouth shifts up, his smirk making you dizzy. asshole. with a tilt of his head, his gaze pierces you but at the same time, it’s soft. and loving. “tell me then”
“well, first of all a kiss. seco–“ you were interrupted by his plush lips on yours. as you melted into the kiss, wonwoo effortlessly grabbed your hips and put you on his lap. with a small bite of your bottom lip, he made you gasp. you felt him smile playfully into the kiss before he continued to knock the air out of your lungs. your hands travelled to the nape of his neck, playing with his hair.
when you finally pulled away, cheeks glowing red, wonwoo put a stray strand of your hair back behind your ear.
“done. and the second part?” he breathed out, admiring your flustered face.
“a date” you giggled, hands shifting to cup his face.
“a date?” he repeated, a small crease forming between his brows.
“we can even go and dig garbage out, i don’t care. just take me on a date, mr jeon” you squished his cheeks, causing him to playfully roll his eyes.
“okay, ms l/n, next friday then. we’re going to dig through garbage” wonwoo sent you a boyish smile and you smacked his arm. finally, your place was filled with your laughters again.
you were waiting impatiently, the minutes on the clock passing painfully slow. wonwoo was supposed to pick you up at 6pm and then you were supposed to go… somewhere. he said it’s a surprise, so you weren’t fully sure what was is.
you decided to wear a cute dress and a cardigan that he gifted you on your birthday. it was your favourite piece of clothing and it went perfectly with the dress.
you played a goofy game that was on your phone, trying to kill some time.
you figured it will be the perfect opportunity to tell wonwoo about junwoo, your co-worker. days passed and his behaviour got even worse. you were uncomfortable around him, your job draining you mentally. and you hated that because to be frank, you loved your job. you loved making baked goods, displaying them and serving customers. and now your, somehow, safe place is making you sick even when you’re just thinking about it.
suddenly your phone dinged.
nonu<3: darling i’m so sorry
nonu<3: i won’t be able to make it
nonu<3: let’s postpone it to next friday, okay?
nonu<3: seungcheol said he’ll pay
your heart dropped. putting down your phone gently you felt tears gathering at your water line.
nonu<3: love you
“love you too” you mumbled and went straight to bed, not bothering to take your makeup off.
when wonwoo came back around 3am, he wasn’t surprised to see you’re fast asleep. there was a little hope in him that you’d wait; that’d you won’t be mad. but who was he gonna fool? when he noticed you fell asleep without changing into your pyjamas, wiping off your makeup and clutching his pillow tight to your chest his heart stung painfully. then he went to grab makeup wipes to remove your mascara stains.
you haven’t talked to wonwoo since then. a week passed by, making you wonder if he’s truly going to take you on a date.
you were just ending your shift, unfortunately with junwoo. you were wiping the tables while he was counting up today’s profit.
“so, that boyfriend of yours…”
the question felt like a bomb, echoing in the empty room. you looked up at junwoo annoyed, his gaze piercing your soul.
“he’s very lovely” you scoffed, looking outside the window. it was already dark outside, not to mention that you still have to go through the park to arrive at your bus stop. normally wonwoo would pick you up…
“is he?”
you ignored the question, moving to the last table. last table and you’re gone. you just need to grab your bag. to do that you have to… shit. you have to pass him by. maybe you don’t need your stuff? you could leave it and– what are you thinking, your id and everything is in it.
“wonwoo is hiding something from you, isn’t he?” junwoo’s voice send shivers down your spine and when you gulped, you could hear his scoff. wait.
“how do you know his name?” you asked, hands trembling.
“i’m friend of a friend you see. but wonwoo once betrayed me…”
your grip on the cloth you were holding tightened, heart speeding up. why this feels like a scene from a crime show…?
“would you like to know something about your lovely boyfriend?” junwoo asked, done with his task.
“uh sure, hit me. we don’t have secrets though!” you laughed nervously and looked at the table. squeaky clean.
you heard footsteps.
looking up you noticed junwoo holding your bag with a playful smile.
“he’s a vampire”
you looked at him in disbelief. then you let out a laugh, shaking your head.
“that’s funny. you’re a funny guy junwoo, wow! a vampire, huh? good one, really–“ your voice died out in your throat when he stepped closer, his hand reaching out.
you snatched your bag from it, dropping the cloth on the floor.
“he’s a vampire. like me” junwoo hummed. normally you’d throw a joke about edward cullen but your coworker canines suddenly made sense.
“oh. cool. i’ll get going though, bye!” you yelled out panicked and rushed to the door. with a slam you ran out of the café, the fresh evening air making you realise how much you were suffering there.
you’re safe. just straight to the park and then bus stop and then home and then… your - apparently vampire - boyfriend.
you took out your phone with shaky and sweaty hands, the speed of your walk faster than ever before in your life.
you started bombarding him with texts - not even caring about the typos - and called him a couple of times but he wasn’t responding.
just when you were about to call him again, you felt… strange. mentally cursing at the city council for not putting lamps in the park you started running. your gut told you to. your gut also told you not to look around.
but you did.
you let out a shocked scream when you saw junwoo. in a blink of an eye he was suddenly one step behind you, grabbing you by your baby pink cardigan. the one wonwoo gifted you.
“leave me alone!” you screamed but the force of the pull was so powerful that you tripped back. luckily, you landed on your back first.
your phone fell out from your hand. you wanted to grab it, but junwoo stepped on your hand. you whined in pain, crunching up.
“see, i’m having a struggle right now. should i already kill you or wait for wonwoo to arrive. because… you think he’s coming, right?” junwoo’s voice echoed in your head.
to be honest, you weren’t sure.
your heart was beating at an inhuman speed right now, trying to figure out what to do.
“but we can have a small compromise” junwoo took off his foot from your hand, causing you to instinctively bring it closer. the tears in your eyes blurred your vision but you managed to suddenly roll over away. “i’ll scratch you up just a tiny bit. if he makes it in time, he might be able to save you”
“fuck off” you grunted and tried to stand up. as you wanted to run away, he kicked the back of your knees. you were helpless to prevent from falling, only to put the weight on your hands. if that hurt, you weren’t ready for the upcoming pain in your thigh, just in your femoral artery.
wonwoo came back home and from the moment he opened the door, he knew something was off.
your shoes weren’t messily thrown on the ground. you didn’t bring leftovers from the café. the apartment was quiet and dark. no smell of baked goods and your perfume, no sound of your calm breathing. or of your heartbeat. you weren’t home.
while nervously scratching his neck wonwoo tried to recall if he forgot about something. maybe you went out with your friends? but no, you’d leave a message… right? maybe you decided to leave him? or… oh. the date.
he pulled out his phone but didn’t see any notifications from you.
his - usually slow - heartbeat sped up, breath stuck in his throat. did you really leave him? he knew it was bad, he felt like he was neglecting you; duh, he knew it. he felt so helpless because seungcheol just needed help with that one guy who appeared in town lately but…
he couldn’t believe you didn’t even text him.
that’s when he noticed something on his phone.
a small moon icon next to the hour.
he frowned, swiping down. do not disturb. oh. how did he even put do not disturb on? after a five hundred years he’s still getting used to all of that technology but– whatever.
his eyes widened upon seeing like a thousand notifications from you and almost the same amount of missed calls.
the sun to my moon, my beloved y/n: wonwoo jelp
the sun to my moon, my beloved y/n: theres a guy ar mw work he creeped me our roday

the sun to my moon, my beloved y/n: do i turn aeousn????
the sun to my moon, my beloved y/n: wonwoo please answer im so sxared
wonwoo slammed the door, almost tripping down the stairs. a guy at your work? why haven’t you told him? okay, you’ll talk later. right now he has to get to the park. you’re fine. you’re gonna be safe, he’ll get there quickly. even if you managed to get on the bus–
he entered his car, calling you. you’ll surely pick up, right? you’ll pick up and tell him you’re fine, you’re on the bus now, you’re safe.
suddenly his car door opened and someone sat at the passenger’s seat. wonwoo turned his head and looked at mingyu flabbergasted.
“what are you–” wonwoo breathed out, his hands shaking. you aren’t picking up.
“what’s the name of the café y/n works at?” mingyu asked. wonwoo threw away his phone, starting the car.
“moon made… something like that. why? i literally do not care right now, she’s–“
“junwoo works there”
wonwoo choked on air, taking a sharp turn. mingyu, who haven’t put his seatbelt on, slammed onto the door.
“fuck”
his friend quickly fastened his seatbelts and gulped upon seeing seeing how the numbers on the counter rose threateningly.
“y/n is in danger, she messaged me… and– what if– do you think he…?” wonwoo breathed out. mingyu, his friend of almost four hundred years, have never seen him so emotional. even when in 1722 wonwoo was about to literally die - because of a fight he got with a higher vampire, seungcheol - he was stoic. calm. normal.
“i don’t know. seungcheol is on his way, he told me he’ll rip his head apart if he hurts you or y/n but…” mingyu sighed, grabbing wonwoo’s phone. he put the password (the date of the day when you two started dating) and looked at the texts. it doesn’t look good.
“it doesn’t… look good, does it? fuck i’m so pissed at myself. somehow i put the do not disturb thing on and i missed all the notifications” wonwoo grunted and looked around “we’re nearby. please hold on…”
“wonwoo…” mingyu started slowly “i know you’re emotional right now but please… please don’t do anything stupid. you’re both higher vampires, this can end tragically”
“i don’t care. as long as y/n is safe and fucking alive. you know what that psychopath did in 1800!” wonwoo hissed, taking another sharp turn.
“i know! that’s the reason why we took seungcheol’s side!” just as he said that, mingyu was prepared for the turn and held onto his dear life to the door grip. wonwoo pulled over and left the car, slamming the door.
it didn’t take long before they located you. wonwoo’s heart clenched painfully upon hearing your cries and hard pants without seeing you.
“i smell blood” he grumbled, looking at mingyu. the thing was that mingyu stopped drinking blood like hundred years ago, he was fine. wonwoo, on the other hand, restricted his drinking but fully stopped when he met you. comparing 6 years to almost 500…
the smell was getting stronger and your heartbeat slower. then he saw you. on the ground, sobbing harshly. a growing puddle of crimson liquid was pooling under your right leg.
“y/n look, your boyfriend!” junwoo’s voice made him sick, not to mention that he nudged your leg with his. like you were nothing.
“nonu?” you whispered, fighting to keep your eyes open. it was barely a whisper to be honest but due to his hearing he was able to catch it.
he started walking towards you but junwoo clicked his tongue.
“stay there, traitor” he growled, putting his hands in the pockets of his pants “move an inch and she’ll be a lifeless body. same goes to you, mingyu”
“what do you want?” wonwoo asked, afraid that if he’s gonna look away for a second, you’ll…
“honestly? seungcheol. but i figured i’d be more fun to watch him suffer… and that human girlfriend of yours seems to matter a lot for you. and you mean a lot to him. well, her too. simple as that. the things in the way aren’t a big deal either. if i have to kill her or you to get to him… it’ll be at least endearing” he explained.
“listen i know i… betrayed you. but you killed innocent people, junwoo. just as you’re about to do with my girlfriend. leave her out of this and no one will get hurt” wonwoo talked slowly, your breathing getting slower.
“you didn’t hear a thing i just said, huh? i don’t care. or maybe i’ll give her to the werewolves? they’re not friends of mine but i’m sure they’ll like her” junwoo said and kneeled. he cupped your face, fingers digging into your jaw with force.
you felt like life was escaping from you, like air from a popped balloon. with the rest of the strength you had, you gathered your saliva and spat at him.
both mingyu and wonwoo were speechless.
junwoo slowly wiped his face and your boyfriend realised something. if junwoo wanted to bare his claws - and he just might to that - they’d go straight through your skin.
but something or rather, someone stops him from doing that. or doing anything in general.
seungcheol’s silhouette would go unnoticed by humans or even some lower vampires.
he yanks junwoo backwards by his shirt.
“if you wanted to talk to me, you’re more than welcome. but leave the fuck wonwoo and y/n alone” he hissed, immediately attacking him “and i made a promise to myself that if you hurt them, you’ll–“
“be dead, i assume. you’re worse than the werewolves” junwoo hissed.
wonwoo rushed to you, not caring about them. seungcheol will manage. he’s a higher vampire, probably older than all of you gathered here. he’s strong.
and you’re not.
he’s falling onto his knees, taking you in his arms immediately. wonwoo scans your face quickly, nothing than the marks from the grip, and moves to check the rest of your body.
then, he sees the wound. a deep cut on your thigh, precisely aimed at your main artery. other than that your hand was probably twisted. but the literal bleeding made him panic. because who knows how many time you have left considering the fact that junwoo cut open one of the critical parts of the blood system.
“wonwoo?” you mutter, fighting to keep your eyes open.
“it’s me, darling. it’s me, please– forgive me. i’m so sorry i should’ve-“ he started mumbling apologies like a broken record, tears gathering at his waterline.
“it’s fine, you’re here now” you mumbled, grabbing his hand with both of yours “i love you so much…”
“hey, hey. i know. i know, y/n, i love you to. but you’ll be fine. i promise” he breathed out, pressing his forehead against yours. his mind was racing with thoughts. he won’t manage to get you to the hospital. it’s way too far. he could stop the bleeding but assuming from the amount of blood you already lost— would it help? he feels helpless while you’re dying in his hands. it’s just a matter of seconds.
“nonu… you’re a vampire?” you gasp suddenly, one of your hands going to clutch his shirt. he nodded, still deep in his thought “then you can– turn me…?”
“bite her, wonwoo” mingyu suddenly appeared behind his back
“but i never– not on purpose–“ wonwoo grunted and stiffened once he saw your eyelids dropping “i don’t–“
“do it” a barely audible plea left your mouth, your hands slipping from his chest; your face scrunched up in pain. everything was going dark, your eyelids more and more heavy.
“it might hurt…” wonwoo warned before baring his fangs; he dived into the left side of your neck, a sharp sting bringing you back to reality for a brief moment. you sobbed harshly before a sudden blackout hit you.
your blood was sweet; the sweetest he has ever tried. wonwoo felt you losing consciousness, your body in his arms like a puppet. your heartbeat halted.
suddenly seungcheol came back, blood splattered on his face.
“that asshole is dead. what’s with y/n…?” he asked quietly. wonwoo pulled away, taking a deep breath. a trickle of crimson blood went down your neck. wonwoo looked at his friends; the tears in his eyes making seungcheol… sad.
“she’ll be fine” seungcheol mumbled. wonwoo grabbed your stiff body in a bridal style; he felt the warmth escaping from you “i can feel it”
“take her home” mingyu hummed, noticing the way wonwoo looked at you “let us know once she wakes up. because she will”
he nodded, for the first time in a long time not sure about the rightness of his decision.
you opened your eyes slowly, your body overtaken by pain. you felt weird; somehow cold.
the first thing you saw was wonwoo on the edge of the bed. his head was leaning downwards, eyes closed. he must have been thinking about something because his brows were furrowed, a deep crease between them. he looked like he haven’t slept for days.
you shifted carefully, noticing the bandage on your hand. the memories suddenly flooded you back; causing you to wince.
wonwoo suddenly felt your arms around his waist, his body jerking in surprise.
“y/n?” he asked, voice cracking.
“tell me it was a bad dream, please. or that you’re real” you whispered, shaking.
wonwoo hugged you back, placing a hand at the back of your head.
“i’m here, i’m real. it’s all good now i promise” he mumbled into your hair, afraid to let you go.
you sobbed into his chest, his embrace feeling like a dream after all of the events.
when you pulled away, he looked at you with so much care in his eyes in almost hurt. you tried to gather your thoughts, trying to think of the best way how to ask him about everything. as you did so, your hand traveled to your neck and you were surprised to feel a bandage there. right.
“i’m sorry if that hurt” he mumbled shyly
“it’s fine. but… what… what am i now? can you tell me everything…?” you asked quietly, your hand finding his. wonwoo intertwined your fingers, taking a deep sigh.
“i don’t know how much he told you but… i’m a vampire. and by biting you i turned you into one as well. you died but the venom from my fangs caused you to kind of… come back” he explained slowly “mingyu is a vampire too. well, all of my friends are”
“that would explain why you know each other so well” you chuckled, instantly regretting that. a wave of pain came through your body, causing you to wince. wonwoo’s eyes widened, sudden realisation hitting him.
“do you need anything? medicine? i can bring some pain killers” he said, pulling the duvet up. your thigh was professionally bandaged.
“it’s alright but… you could give me a kiss” you pouted.
“god, you don’t even know how scared was i…” he whispered before gently cupping your face and planting a tender kiss on your lips.
you wanted more, of course you did, but he leaned away. he wanted to look at you like this forever, without thinking about the possibility of losing you again.
“do you… want to talk? about what happened before?” your boyfriend asked. you sighed, nodding. even though you were glad you’re alive - and able to kiss him again - you had so many questions.
“just… explain everything to me. i’ll listen” you hummed, patting the spot next to you.
and he did. he explained to you that seungcheol is the oldest and that he was born as a vampire, that making him a higher vampire. due to that he can kill other vampires - because the regular ones like you aren’t able. you might hurt another vampires but won’t kill them if you’re not a higher one. wonwoo explained that junwoo and him were friends but his slaughtering of innocent people made wonwoo leave him and tell his location to seungcheol. they had some private fights going on hence the will of revenge. that’s what he was so busy with lately – seungcheol found out junwoo is in the city and wanted to find him. he explained that you’re not going to be a vampire that’s described in books. you won’t have shiny skin, you won’t have allergic reaction to garlic or sunlight, you’ll be able to see your reflection in a mirror. you’ll just feel cold at times and after some time and training you’ll get some supernatural traits.
“did you plan on telling me? that you’re a vampire?” you asked, gently grabbing his arms and pushing yourself onto his lap
“i… i did. maybe on our anniversary. i was scared but i promised myself i’d do it. i… i wanted to ask you if you want to be turned into one to” wonwoo smiled softly, looking at you “because the thought of you dying and me living without you… it made my heart shatter into pieces everytime i thought about this”
your heart swelled. it must’ve been so hard for him. this made you think if he was in a situation like that because but–
“and i messed up. i know work is work but i neglected you. it won’t happen again, i promise. and also… you need to show me how not to accidentally put do not disturb on” he huffed and then threateningly put his finger up, his ebony irises sending you a serious look “and next time tell me right away when there’s a creep at your work”
“do not disturb…?” you scoffed, putting his hand down.
the sun peeked through the window, framing his face in golden light.
“well then, mr jeon” you hummed, placing your hands on his arms for support “can i get a kiss? and can you make it last forever?”
you didn’t have to tell him twice; he finally had an infinity to spend with you. when wonwoo pulled you closer, his teeth grazing against your lips you realised that it all would explain his thing for biting.

—————
you tucked a lone strand of hair behind your ear as you hooked on the earring that matched your outfit, adjusting your dress as soon as you were done. you smoothed out whatever crinkles that were visible and inhaled deeply as you took a final look in the mirror.
it was the night of the dinner. the dress you were wearing was pretty, a v-line maxi dress that reached just below your knees with sleeves that puffed a little bit at the shoulders and cuffed at your wrists. you paired the navy blue dress with a silver belt and a matching silver watch and butterfly shaped earrings. wonwoo had bought the jewelry for you in secret, telling you they would look good with your favourite watch when he gifted it to you a few days ago.
"you look pretty," he complimented you as you stepped out of your room.
very, very pretty, he thought, but he kept it to himself. he didn't want to make you uncomfortable. he noticed the earrings and his heart swelled.
i knew it would look good, he thought to himself.
"i... uh, thank you," you managed a smile at him. "you look nice too,"
wonwoo smiled. he was wearing a button-up that matched the colour of your dress, donning his signature office look. his shirt was tucked into his black trousers, and the sleeves were rolled up to his elbow. his hair was parted and styled neatly, his rectangular frames resting on the bridge of his nose making him look all the more appealing to anyone who had eyes. he looked really nice.
the both of you left the apartment and made your way to his car quietly. the dinner was being held by one of your closest friends, choi seungcheol, to celebrate his birthday.
wonwoo was nervous, to say the least. he was pacing around the living room just moments before you stepped out. the idea of a social event thrilled neither of you, but he was more worried about messing things up between the both of you.
the morning after your outburst, you had been the one to apologise first over breakfast. you told him you had a long week and shouldn't have taken it out on him, but it bothered him. why were you the one apologising when he was the one in the wrong? there was one thing wonwoo realised over and over: he didn't deserve you.
it bothered him so much his heart hurt for days. he didn't think he deserved you, but a selfish part of him wants you by his side. your marriage was forced, but over time it seems he found comfort in your smile and peace in your presence. so his selfishness is working to keep you as close to him as he can. he should have been better to you from the start, but at least (he hoped) it wasn't too late.
it's been almost two weeks since your confrontation, and every day since, he's been trying to make it up to you. you noticed, no matter how grand or subtle his gestures were.
it was awkward at first. you weren't used to being the centre of his attention. he was being more attentive and you weren't just strangers living in the same house anymore, so it felt weird. you were confused. you were finally getting along with him as you've wanted, but it was so odd you contemplated whether going back to the way things were was a better option.
you contemplated going back to the way things were to the time even before you met him.
you had touched on the topic of divorce that morning while the both of you were eating, but wonwoo stopped chewing and paled so ghostly white you thought he was going to fall sick, so you just cleared your throat and said it was about a friend. you never brought it up again. wonwoo still saw through your lie and it's been keeping him on edge. he was determined not to let you go.
you wanted to give in. he wasn't a man of many words, but he was trying. he was trying his absolute best and you wanted so badly to let yourself love him with everything you have to give. but you were scared.
what if he's just being nice? he's a good guy, it's how he is.
so many thoughts would cloud your mind and wonwoo would catch you zoning out often, sometimes even when you watched him. you've seen his kindness. he was a good hyung, son, and friend. he doesn't usually raise his voice and you were sure his heart was made of gold. his smiles were warm and sincere, and he was so beautiful and gentle with just about anything and anyone. there wasn't anything extravagant and special about the way he is with you now, he was just being himself and warming up to you more.
and it was so hard not to notice. he'd come home earlier on some days just to have dinner with you, or sit with you to watch TV while he worked. he'd crack jokes you'd think were funny, and even if you tried, you couldn't miss the fond smile that rested on his features as he let his soft gaze linger while you talked, or laughed, or did something.
it petrified you. the care and love you felt for him scared you to your wit's end. you didn't know what to do with yourself. if you let the walls you tried so hard to build crumble, whose fault would it be? wonwoo's for showing this side of him that you so desperately wanted to see? or yours for never learning your lesson?
"we're here," you heard him say.
you turned to face him, surprised to see him leaning his weight on his elbow that he had propped onto the storage compartment between your seats.
the light from the streetlamp outside illuminated his features so well he looked ethereal. heck, even the light in the car could have been the moonlight with the way he looked right now.
his seatbelt was already off, which meant that you might have already reached your destination for a few minutes. you could have sworn you were at a stop light just a few seconds ago. so had he just been watching you?
wonwoo did park the car a few minutes ago. he turned to announce your arrival, but you were chewing on your bottom lip so deep in thought that he didn't want to interrupt. he settled for taking off his seatbelt and propping his elbow on the storage compartment, watching you with your eyebrows furrowed.
he wanted to know what you were thinking. he wanted to know how you felt. he worried if you were trying to find reasons to leave him, not that it would be difficult. he wanted to know if you thought about him. he wanted to know everything about you, beyond his observations.
please don't leave me, i love you. he thought.
i love you. he realised.
his heart ached. the only regret in his life right now is not realising how much you meant to him sooner.
he noticed you sigh subconsciously and decided to tell you that you were already at the venue. when you met his eyes, he smiled warmly. the kind that emphasised his smile lines as he flashed his perfect teeth and made his eyes small.
you returned the expression with a smile of your own, your heart beating so loudly you were sure he could hear it. you wished so so much that your face wasn't burning up. that would be embarrassing. you haven't had the chance to admit it to him, but wonwoo's smile was your favourite thing in the world.
"shall we?" he asked and you nodded.
you inhaled. suddenly nervous, you fumbled a little with your seatbelt but managed to unbuckle it, moving to open the car door and get out.
"wait, let me do it," he said.
"it's okay, won. i can do it," you tried but he was already out of the vehicle and jogging to the other side.
you collected your birthday gift for seungcheol and your purse from your lap as he opened the car door. wonwoo's heart was beating in his ears as you thanked him with a small smile, stepping out of the vehicle and letting him lock it behind you.
you walked towards the event hall while he collected his own gift, deciding your heart couldn't take it if you turned around to wait for him. you couldn't watch as he tried so hard to win you over. it broke your heart.
but it was also because of your weak heart that you walked slowly, pretending to make sure everything was in your purse so that he could catch up to you quickly. it worked, and you felt his presence next to you shortly after. his height allowed his shadow to loom over you, blocking the light from the streetlamp.
you couldn't resist and looked at him. he had a look of concern washed over his features, wordlessly asking if anything was missing. you swallowed hard. he was closer than you thought, but you managed a reply and told him you were just double-checking and that you had everything. he nodded and the both of you walked quietly across the street.
"can i... uh- can i hold your hand?" he broke the silence, taking the risk after contemplating it in his head for what felt like hours.
wonwoo felt like he couldn't breathe when you didn't respond. you were taken aback and couldn't find the words at all. he was beginning to regret even asking, awkwardly adjusting his collar until he felt your hand clasp his.
he exhaled a breath he didn't even know he was holding and looked at you while he smiled in relief, but you weren't looking at him.
you refused to. if you did, your guarded walls would crumble. the effect he had on you was dangerous.
the both of you reached the venue where the dinner was being held still hand in hand, but you let go as soon as you saw seungcheol to wave at him. wonwoo gave his hyung a hug and wished him a happy birthday and you did the same when he came up to you. the two of you passed the older man his gifts and he beamed, inviting you further in the hall as he welcomed other guests that came after you.
wonwoo licked his lips nervously, wanting to take your hand in his again. but since you made no move to do it, he decided against it and kept his hand balled into a fist by his side. he didn't want to push his luck too far.
the both of you walked over to where some of your mutual friends and wonwoo's colleagues sat. you took a seat next to vernon and seungkwan, who have been your best friends since high school. wonwoo took a seat in between you and his best friend and business partner mingyu, who you smiled at politely while walking past him earlier to take your seat.
"do you need anything?" vernon asked from next to you while the waiters started serving food on all the guest tables.
"no, thank you. i got it," you smiled at him.
vernon nodded and passed you a glass of water that was handed to him by the waiter, which you thanked him again for. he mumbled a 'no problem' as he grabbed another two glasses for seungkwan and himself.
"kwannie, could you get me two sashimis there?" you pointed at the sushi buffet laid out in front of him in the middle of the table.
wonwoo bit the inside of his cheek as he watched seungkwan grab your plate to help you, wishing you asked him for help too. he was fond of seungkwan and vernon, he really was. he was glad that you could count on them, but wonwoo wanted you to rely on him too. especially since he knew you rarely asked for help if you could do it yourself.
the rest of the dinner flew by. you mostly spoke to vernon and seungkwan, and occasionally to seungcheol who came by every now and then to talk or check how things were going.
most of the dinner's guests left after seungcheol's closing birthday speech, and only about twelve of his closest friends, wonwoo included, stayed behind for some drinks and a short get-together.
it was well after midnight when you and wonwoo reached home. since wonwoo had a few drinks, you drove home and let him take a nap in the car. you appreciated the quiet ride, not willing to strike up a conversation. you preferred the silence mostly because you didn't know what to say.
what you also didn't know was that wonwoo only pretended to be asleep in the car. at the function today, he felt his heart sink deeper and deeper into the pit of his stomach as he watched you interact and laugh with other people.
he wouldn't have minded. he would have actually loved it had you not been ignoring him for the most part. he wanted to brush it off as you haven't met your friends in a while due to your work, but you actively avoided eye contact and looked away quickly whenever you did meet his eyes. it made him think the worst case scenarios.
he wanted to share laughs with you too. the dinner was an opportunity he had been looking forward to, but he forgot that it was a social event after all. he couldn't help it. it felt like all his progress went down the drain.
so he pretended that he was asleep in the car and stood behind you when you unlocked the door to your shared apartment. you took him by surprise when you turned and grabbed his arm to guide him in, letting go only when you sat him on the sofa and went to pour him a glass of water.
you set the mug of water down and wished him goodnight. when you straightened up to leave, he quickly held on to your forearm. his grip wasn't too strong but it stopped you in your tracks anyway.
"why are you avoiding me?" he finally asked the burning question in his head.
"i'm not avoiding you," you denied.
it was a lie and even he knew it, but he relented when you gently peeled his fingers off of your arm.
"yes you are," his voice lowered as he stood. "why?"
"i don't know what you're talking about," you averted his gaze.
"you're doing it again," he stepped forward and you stepped back.
"i'm not doing anything," you tried to stand your ground, looking at him again.
"you're taking care of me one moment and then the next you're refusing to speak to me," he explained. "did i do anything wrong?"
his voice cracked and your heart wrenched painfully in your chest. he gently held your hands but you pulled away, apologising softly.
"no, no. i'm the one who's sorry," he retracted his hand and paused.
you shook your head. "you didn't do anything to be sorry for,"
"then why are you avoiding me?"
"wonwoo, please understand," you began, and his heart hurt that you called him by his full name. what happened to the nickname you gave him?
your throat was closing up and you were finding it more difficult to control the tears that were welling up in your eyes.
"what is there to understand?" he pried. "you're confusing me,"
"i can't spend a single second more with you," you admitted, the tears you tried so hard to hide streaming down your face.
his eyes widened and his heart leapt up to his throat. his head hurt. this was it. you were set on leaving him already, no matter what he did to try and keep you by his side. he desperately searched your expression, but all he saw were your tears. you were crying and it pained him. he hated himself for being the reason you were crying again.
"sweetheart, please don't cry," wonwoo reached forward, but you stepped back, wiping your tears and turning away from him.
a choked sob from him forced you to face him again. he sat back down, his bottom lip tucked between his teeth as tears of his own started to wet his cheeks. he wiped his face quickly.
"whatever it is, i'm sorry," he cried. "but please don't leave. i'm sorry, i'm sorry, i'm sorry,"
"wonwoo, please," you begged.
your resolve was crumbling. you couldn't watch him fall apart like this. you kneeled in front of him when he buried his face in his hands. it could have been the drinks he had, but wonwoo found himself unable to control his emotions. you pried his hands away from his face and forced him to look at you.
"please let me go, hm?" you coaxed, but he shook his head, still crying.
"why can't you understand?" you rested your forehead against your fists that were holding his hands. "i can't spend another second with you or else-"
you froze. you almost let it slip and wished he wouldn't ask, but of course he heard it and had to know.
"or else what?"
"nothing," you got up quickly and turned your back to him.
"stop avoiding me, y/n. talk to me, please," he begged.
"or else what?" his voice cleared.
"or else i'll fall in love with you!" you confessed, facing him while you threw your hands up in frustration.
wonwoo was standing again, frozen in place at your admission. you sniffled and sighed, eyes burning into his.
"again," your voice lowered to barely a whisper. "and you won't love me. again,"
your words hung so thick in the air it suffocated you. both of you.
"i'm tired of this, won. if you don't want me, let me go. i can't keep loving you if-"
your sentence was cut short as he grabbed your hands and pulled you into his embrace, engulfing you in his arms and his large frame. this was the first time you were this close to him, and you could feel his heart hammering against the shell of your ear.
a fresh stream of tears escaped the corners of your eyes and you sobbed into his chest. if this was how he felt, why didn't he ever tell you? wonwoo didn't know what to do, so he tightened his embrace, whispering sweet nothings into your hair.
when you regained yourself, he cupped your face in his hands as you pulled away and sniffled. he grinned at you, that heartache he called a smile tugging at your heartstrings. his cheeks were wet with his own tears, which you reached up to wipe. he chuckled and shook his head, wiping your tears with the pad of his thumb and then his face with his sleeves.
"do you love me that much?" he asked quietly. "enough to love me a second time?"
you nodded, still unable to find the right words that expressed your thoughts. you didn't have to, though, because wonwoo understood. he studied your features for a little while, caressing your cheek and tucking your hair behind your ear.
"may i?" he asked again, this time making you raise your eyebrows.
you hummed inquisitively and he leaned forward. oh.
you closed the gap between the both of you, your lips meeting his. the both of you held on to each other as if you were afraid the other would disappear if either of you let go. his hand cupped your cheek gently while the other rested on your waist, and your hands were in his hair and on his back. the both of you eventually broke the kiss and he nestled his face in the crook of your neck while you rested your chin on his shoulder.
"i love you too," he pecked your skin. "i'm sorry it took me so long to realise. please don't leave me,"
"wonwoo..."
"hmm?" he hummed against your neck, worried again when you didn't call him by his nickname.
"that tickles," you joked and a loud laugh reverberated from his chest.
i love you. enough to love you for more than just this lifetime. you thought as you let yourself giggle and tighten your arms around him.

Wonwoo froze and looked puzzled when he heard his door opening— His eyes flicked to the wall clock, registering the lateness of the hour.
This isn't an ideal first response to a situation where he isn't expecting someone to visit at his place late at this hour.
Although it's not the first time, that some of his closest friends just popped in at random times of the day wherein he just got used to it, usually it only happens when there's a serious problem they're dealing with, other than that they give him heads up. Especially they know Wonwoo likes his privacy very much.
He closed his book and was about to rise from his comfortable spot.
As the familiar sound of heels echoed through his home, Wonwoo's confusion mingled with a sense of relief. He recognized the cadence of those footsteps, the unique rhythm that belonged to his girlfriend, Seora.
Now carrying her heels in her right hand, carved a smile on her lips yet tired eyes are prominent on the lady.
Wonwoo's heart swelled with affection at the sight of her, arms outstretched in silent invitation while walking towards her.
“As much as I want to hug you, I'm still wearing outside clothes.” With her lips pouting, Seora's gesture halted him mid-step. Her outstretched arm a gentle barrier.
Just by looking at his clothes, he's already wearing his pyjamas, with a soft baby blue headband adorning his tousled hair — a gift from Seora herself.
“I could just change clothes again.” He reassured her. Clasping his hand to hers, he helped her bend it gently so he could give her a bear hug. “And besides, I usually sleep when my shirt is off.” He teases her, reminding her what he usually does.
Her cheeks blush, imagining him in that state. It's not like she hasn't seen him shirtless, she was just caught off guard by him and yes she's naturally shy.
“Whatever you say.” She rolls her eyes playfully, Maintaining her steady voice.
To be fair, when she sleeps over at his place, He typically wears complete clothing except for those nights when they become intimate to each other.
As they settled in, Seora's tired shoulders sagged with the weight of her burdens, her fatigue visible in the dimly lit room, prompting Wonwoo to notice her state and wanting nothing more than to comfort her.
Her signature smell penetrated his nostrils, Wonwoo's gentle touch traced soothing patterns along her spine, offering silent solace in the face of her unspoken worries.
The feeling of warmth swiftly took over her body, and she leaned her head more against his chest.
This moment may not seem fancy nonetheless, this encapsulates the comfort they both need to end their long days.
Seora led the way for them to get relaxed on the couch. Bathed in the warm glow of lamplight with softly played music, the stresses of the day began to melt away.
“Looks like your night out ended early?” He chirped, not at all expecting her to be at his place.
Yes, he thinks it's late at night, but not in the way he expects when it comes to a night out.
He even knew she was supposed to sleep in her room at her mother's house. “Did something happen?” He tilted his head, curious about how her night went.
“Well, I've been in over my head too much and it's such a no-brainer going out with my coworkers Is a simple escape for that.” Her hands move as she explains. “But I wasn't feeling it. So I just bounced out— didn't you get my message?”
He bit his lip then his body moved to the right at the edge of the sofa, quickly grabbing his phone on top of the cabinet to recheck his notifications.
“Nope.” His brows knitted, and it was his turn to pout.
Seora couldn't help but be amused at his instinctive reaction and looked at her phone. “Well that makes sense, my message didn't get through— my bad.”
She now sees his book and cup of half hot chocolate drink on the mini table before them, indicating he was about to sleep. She bit her lower lip, abruptly feeling sorry about the sudden visit.
“Never be sorry.” He beamed at her and took her hand to intertwine it with him, kissing her knuckles. “And I have to be honest, I feel happy that you thought of visiting me here instead.”
Wonwoo feels safer when she comes and stays with him more than anything. If anything he feels like she's already living here with him— but maybe someday, hopefully soon it will happen.
She pointed at his lap “Can I lay down?” she asked. He grinned ear to ear at her question. He took a couch pillow and put it on his lap, then patted it.
Wanting her to be comfortable, knowing Seora very well this won't be a quick laydown.
Seora smiled and quickly laid her head down as she tried to move her body to find the right position so she could hug his torso.
His hand landed on her crown, caressing her hair gingerly. “You're being adorable, do you know that?” His nose scrunched up, looking like a cat whisker.
Meanwhile, if she was a cat, she would pur right now on how good it feels when he does it to her. “Well, that's just being me.” She mischievously responded.
These little things they do together make her heart swell but all for the great oxytocin.
“So…” Wonwoo trails, “What's making your mind occupied?” He circled back to her worries. She might end up sucking up her thoughts and continuously feel like a burden.
She sighs heavily as she gathers Her thoughts. “It's about work.” She casually avoided his eye contact. “I feel like I'm such a disappointment, and everyone hates me— I keep having errors, and it's taking a toll on me.” Seora’s beginning to feel her tears about to burst out, she then closed her eyes, trying her best not to break down. She instinctively hugged him tightly, shoving her face closer to him.
Wonwoo's eyes saddened, looking at his girl feeling this way. “Are you only feeling this, or did someone talk to you about this?”
“My coworkers and my team leader give me decent advice to help me— but It's just me overthinking, about everyone hating me.”
Her voice became solemn, and thoughts were flowing out of her mind.
“Work became a bit stricter than usual, making me feel like I'm walking on eggshells— I just feel I'm not enough.”
She strongly feels she needs this job, as she carries quite a lot of responsibility in her family. She's now only with her mom and little brother who's still studying. Consequently, she needs to support them, particularly her mom, who is getting old.
A breadwinner you can label.
That's one of the things they have in common, as people know Wonwoo is the eldest of their household and also has a younger brother. Although their differences are, Seora is just starting her life again with this new job in a new city, unlike Wonwoo. His Dad, despite his old age, is much more settled with his business. Meanwhile, his brother is already supporting himself.
Clearly, even though he supports his family, it isn't entirely a bigger responsibility compared to her.
If she could be cutthroat, honest, besides her closest friends since way back. Wonwoo is one of the people she is deeply grateful to be with.
“It's normal to make mistakes, that's where you learn.” He starts to comfort her. “And it's not just a snap of a finger, that you get it already just from one mistake, it's a process of trial and error— and it may seem such constant setbacks but, I'm pretty sure you're growing.” He sees Seora nodding her head, humming in agreement as her voice shakes.
“I know very well it's not easy to not overthink. However, you did tell me your work isn't that simple. It's not repetitive work, which in every task you get is identical.”
He gently put her hair behind her ear, preventing it from hiding her face more.
“So it's highly understandable, also don't forget your progress— I'm confident you're doing your best.” Wonwoo wanders back on his memory lane. When he sees her smiling when she works, of course, he too naturally gets excited and curious about it.
“When you're working here sometimes, I've seen complimenting notes from people who checked your work.” He huffs proudly, and just after Wonwoo's sentiments, he hears her sobbing lightly— her nose sniffle.
Despite the strong independent women facade she has on the external world, to him, she can admit she's too soft for all of it.
As Seora's emotions overflowed, Wonwoo remained a steady presence, comforting her with gentle words and gestures— helping her ease her bottled-up feelings that were now bursting.
Her sobbing stopped when both of them heard a grumble. It was Seora's stomach that was grumbling. It disrupted their solace moment.
“I-I don't want to eat.” Her frail voice stuttered, not even feeling herself.
“I have a sandwich in the fridge, I could heat it for you.” Wonwoo took initiative as he rubbed her arms.
“Seora, even just a little.” Wonwoo tilted his head as he pleaded.
He convinced Seora to eat, mindful of her health needs and her tendency to neglect herself when overwhelmed.
Wonwoo lifted her upper body to make her sit next to him.
Her eyes and nose give the hues of red, stained cheeks that came from her tears.
He swiftly fixed up her hair, then wiped her stained tears away while he looked straight into her orbs. “It'll be quick. Be a good girl.”
While sniffing her nose, she nodded softly at his request.
Seora seems to act like a kid right now. It's one of her antics when she's feeling overwhelmed.
When he brought the heated food and put it on top of the table, Seora noticed the sandwich bag that came with it “Oh! Isn't this a cooking class?” She knows this because one of their coworkers she was with earlier mentioned this name since her soon-to-be daughter-in-law was enrolled on this workshop.
“I didn't know they had a restaurant.” she bit on the hearty sandwich and immediately produced a sound of satisfaction. “Hmm!”
Little did she know Wonwoo was feeling nervous for her reaction, and seeing good feedback made his eyes carve like a half moon, with his signature grin appeared.
“I made that earlier.”
Seora's eyes went wide, left in awe. She would have reacted with her voice, but she was busy chewing her food and now just waiting for him to give more context about what he just mentioned out of the blue.
He rubs his nape, feeling a bit shy. “It's just been 2 days since I started, I just figured it would be a fresh hobby.” It was supposed to be a surprise for her, but since her reaction gave him the boost of confidence, it seems right to mention it to her right at this moment.
Feeling a bit sceptical with her boyfriend's reasoning, “Really?” There's a gut in her telling there's more to it.
“You're becoming a husband material too quickly.” She bluntly jokes and does not even give a thought to what she said until blurting it out loud.
Freezing herself as the blood rushes towards her face.
Entertained by the lady's reaction, still, his ears bloomed into a red shade. “I can't help it… ” Wonwoo mimics the amusement of a Cheshire cat, “You just have to live with it.”
Despite his busy schedule, He's determined to be good at this. He will use his free time to work around this workshop. Truly inspired by her— wanting to take care of the person he's with.
Tumblr media
Once she calmed down and was well-fed, she looked at him directly. “I guess... I've been too emotional since my period hasn't visited me yet.” She continued their conversation.
“I was supposed to get it last Sunday— it's already been 6 days since it was delayed.” Her frustration slowly crept in again.
This isn't news to Wonwoo at all. He has always been updated on her cycle. They've taken precautions before more spiralling thoughts would eat them.
Every time they take the test until yesterday it comes back negative—might seem too much but it gives them the assurance they need and it is safe to say in that specific department that wasn't hindering her monthly cycle.
“Based on research I read before, stress is one of the biggest impacts of a delayed cycle or even skipping a cycle.” Wonwoo voiced out what he read this week, upon diving deep into studies and watching helpful videos from doctors online. “But let's go to the doctor tomorrow, just to be sure.”
The amount of care he could give to her is endless. She pulled her body up and sat on his lap, facing him. Putting her arms around him, she managed to steady her eye contact with him.
“You're right, I've suspected stress as well.” She hasn't been sleeping so well due to her schedule with work. Three days a week, she needs to be at her office, needing to wake up early and still going home a bit later due to heavy traffic.
City life may seem full of glitz and glamour, but it can be a bummer.
She even noticed prominent pimples come and go on her face, proving her point about hormonal imbalance.
It was not a good week for her, indeed.
On the other hand, Wonwoo cups her face gently and admires the beauty in front of him.
He let his forehead lean on her. “We will handle this, okay?”
Nevertheless, there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. In fact, Wonwoo has always been there with her, the clouded mind she has just failed to haze away.
She nodded sweetly at him.
But not anymore.
As the night deepened, they found solace in the simple joys — a meal shared, soft words exchanged in hushed tones, and the comforting presence of one another. In the embrace of their love, they drew strength, knowing they could face whatever challenges came their way, hand in hand. With each heartbeat, they found courage, knowing that together, they could navigate any storm that life sent their way.

✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿
It has been a very tiring week. This is the first time you were given a free night after 2 long months. Working in a firm can really have you working for long hours. You always end up working until wee hours of the night that you always choose to sleep instead of going out. There are countless times of you being invited by friends to have a night out and you always declined. When you finally had the time of course they would all be busy. You groaned in frustration but you are really determined to go out so you did even if you were alone.
“Gin and tonic, please?“ This is your 3rd drink of the night. It’s your first time visiting this bar. It’s decent. Not that crowded and the music is good.
“Here.” the bartender said while placing a drink in front of you.
“Thank you” you muttered shutting your eyes as you sip your drink.
You have been sitting there, minding your own business and enjoying your own company until a group of boys arrived and took a seat next to you.
“You look lonely, how about I buy you a drink?” one of them slur while leaning towards you.
“ No thank you.” you replied politely while giving him a fake smile.
“ Don't be like that. We’re both here to have fun. I can keep you company. I promise I won't let you get bored.”  The man said while laughing.
“Actually, I’m about to leave.” you muttered gathering your things while standing up.
“Hey babe, are you ready to go?” you hear a stranger say while helping you carry your bag.
You look at him clueless for a good 10 seconds before getting the idea that he’s helping you. Before you even grab your bag, he already has it over his shoulder. He offers his hand to you. “ Traffic’s really bad. Sorry I was late.”
“It’s fine babe, let’s go.” You say taking his hand.
The drunk man and his company didn't dare to talk to you until you and the stranger went out of the bar.
*Outside*
“Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. I’m y/n.” a huge smile forming from your lips.
“Wonwoo” he replied, holding out his hand in front of you again.
“Nice to meet you, Wonwoo.” shooking his hand.
“So.. should we break up now?” you said breaking the awkward silence that developed over the past 5 minutes.
“ It’s only 11 pm,” he said looking at his watch. “I happen to live near here, do you want to come over? I make good coffee.”
“Hmm.. how do I know if you’re not going to murder me?” you answered.
“If I wanted you dead I wouldn't have saved you from the drunkard inside”
“Good point… sure! I guess I should try the coffee you’re bragging about.” you said, smiling at him.
It’s true that Wonwoo lives nearby. It’s also true that he isn't a murderer. The only lie he told you was the coffee because the only thing you're trying right now is his luscious lips against yours.
Upon closing the door to his place he immediately put his lips to yours. You weren't shocked because hello? Who the hell asks a stranger to go back to their place for coffee? Lol that's random.
“Wait. You dont happen to have a  real girlfriend..do you?”  you said breaking the kiss.
“None. I’m all yours.” he said, connecting his lips back to yours.
“Jump” he whispered and carried you to his bedroom.
As he settles you on his bed his hands instantly come around your jeans and snap the button of your jeans and tug it down. You are so relieved you shaved last night thinking that you might meet someone tonight and you did. When your jeans are finally off, his hands roam around your body . you lift your arms as He slowly lifts your shirt up to remove it. His lips press against your stomach and reaches to unclasp your bra.”so fucking beautiful” he uttered under his breath while staring directly at your boobs. The only article of clothing you have left is your panties.
“You’re not being fair.” you whispered to his ear while removing his clothes revealing his muscular body. You’re sure that he goes to the gym on the regular because that is what produces muscles like these. You smile checking him out.
“Are you done checking me out?” he says, smirking.
“Shut up and kiss me.” He kissed you like it's the only thing he knows how to do. He was devouring you. His hands roamed around your body. His kisses travels down to from your lips to your neck then stomach, you shivered when his hot breath reaches your inner thighs
“Wonwoo…” you breathe out, almost cumming.
Your back arched as you felt his tongue kiss your clit against your panties. He swiftly moved your panties aside, exposing your dripping wet pussy.
“Tasty” he announced, lifting his head while staring straight at you and taking a break from eating you out. He used his teeth to get you out of your panties.
“Fuck” you moaned as you cum. You grabbed his neck to pull him for a kiss tasting yourself on his tongue. You couldn't think straight. All you think about is his dick and his fucking you.
“I’m on birth control. Please fuck me raw.” you whispered as he reached the bedside table to grab a condom.
“ Are you sure?” he said aligning his cock into your dripping pussy.
“Yes so please...” you said trying to rub your clit to his cock.
“ As you wish," he said while slamming his cock into you.
“ fuck. Fuck. FUCK.” you screamed as he pounded you even harder.
“ such a good girl, taking all of me so fucking well.” he muttered.
For a moment the only sound you could hear is your skin slapping against each other.
“ let me cum.” you whispered under him.
“ again? You already cummed a while ago, sweetie.” he replied.
“ please…” you moaned.
“Let’s cum together.” his thrusts get heavy and sloppy and he connects his lips into yours.
The room that was full of skin slapping sounds was replaced with both of your moans. You arched your back as you reach your climax and now you can feel his juice inside of you.
“Where the hell did you come from?” you said as he flopped next to you. You are now both looking at the ceiling catching your breath.
He looks at you while laughing and whispered “Best sex ever.” then kissed your temple.
You are about to stand when he stops you and says “Stay here, don't move, let me clean you up.”

happy reading!
—————————————————————
“What about the gin bulag or alfonso?” suhestyon mo habang si Wonwoo naman ay naglalaro ng genshin impact sakanyang phone.
“Balak mo ba akong lasingin, baby?” sagot nito habang nakatuon ang atensyon sa kanyang nilalaro.
“Hmm nagrereklamo ka? sabi mo magsuggest ako ng alak!”
My boyfriend put down his phone on the side table and turned his gaze to me. “Yes, pero hindi ko naman sinabing hard. Kaya mag beer na lang kaya tayo?” sagot nito atsaka lumapit sakin
Nagkibit balikat lamang ako at agad na tinignan ang refrigerator para icheck kung may red horse o kahit anong beer. “Hmm”
“Baby we only have red horse here, is that ok with you?”
“Hmm yes. Come here let’s get it done”
It’s past 3 am and both of you are still alive and already drank one case of red horse and smoke 4 sticks of cigarettes. Nasa veranda niyobg napagpasyahan na mag-inom.
“Are you tired baby? can you still drink?”
I shrugged. “No, but let's settle with one case na lang. And let’s just enjoy the view for now.”
Lumapit ka kay Wonwoo para umupo sa kandungan niya atsaka siya niyakap. Habang nakayakap ka sakanya naramadaman mo na lang ang marahan niyang paghimas sa buhok pababa sa bewang mo.
“Hmm that feels so nice,”
Narinig ko naman ang mahina niyang pagtawa. Patuloy lang siya sa pagsuklay sa mahabang buhok. “You smell so nice, Y/n. I can’t smell the scent of beer and cigarette on you. Hmm”
“Uh huh, Woo can you tie my hair?” I said and give him my ponytail.
Oh fuck
Napamura ka sayong isipan because something inside you ignites.
Fucking hell...
Kumalas ka pagkakayakap kay Wonu atsaka hinawakan ang magkabilang pisngi nito. Marahan mong hinimas ang pisngi ng nobyo mo at tinitigan ito diretso sa mata.
“Hmm?”
Fuck, here comes his lazy stares. I can already feel my wetness down there! Of course his lazy eyes is one of your weakness because he really really hot when he does that.
Tinitigan mo pa rin siya at para kang aatakihin sa puso dahil sa kagwapuhan nito. His lazy stares, glasses on, and him on black shirt is like killing you.
“Ang pogi pogi talaga ng boyfriend ko,” ngiting sabi mo at hinalikan nang paulit-ulit ang mapulang labi nito.
Hahalikan mo na ulit sana siya nang hinuli niya ang batok mo. Nakatitig lang siya sayo na parang may masama kang ginawa sakanya. Napalunok ka na lang nang makita mong kinagat nito ang kanyang labi.
“You're triggered something, are you aware of that?” madiing sabi nito habang hawak nito ang batok mo at mariing nakatitig sayo.
“Hmm really? I mean what do you mean by that? masama na bang halikan boyfriend ko?” sinadya mong ngumuso at hawakan ang mapulang labi nito gamit ang iyong hintuturo.
Now you can clearly see your boyfriend's raging eyes. Despite of his stares you slowly grind on his lap feeling his clothed dick.
Leaving your red wine lacey bra.
Kitang-kita mo ang panggigil ng mga titig ni Wonwoo kaya nung hahawakan ka na niya agad mong hinawakan ang dalawang kamay nito upang pigilan sa balak nito.
“Not so fast baby,”
“Chill the fuck down woman, kakantutin din kita.”
You rolled your eyes because your temper cannot take it anymore so you quickly stood up then dragged the fuck down Wonwoo on your living room.
Nang makarating kayo roon ay agad mong tinulak pa-upo sa couch atsaka dali-daling hinubad ang natitira mo pang saplot. Kaya naman mas lalong nakaramdam ng libog ang nobyo mong kating-kati na wasakin ka.
Mabilis kang kumandong sakanya. “No more foreplay lover boy” you smriked and slowly grind your wetness on his hard fuck dick.
“But I wanna eat you before that,” taas kilay na sinabi ng nobyo mo habang nakatitig sa hubad mong katawan.
You crossed your arm, “No. Let me dominate you this time,”
You can already feel his dick twitching so you hurriedly insert his fat ass dick on your hole.
“Fuck, fuck yes! oh my god,”
“Oh god, baby I’m coming” hirap na hirap mong sinabi
“Hmm fuck i’m coming”
“Baby, I think I'm gonna fuck you till the sun shines.”

You’ve seen people stutter, in loss for words when they’re asked “What’s the best thing that has ever happened to you?” If you were to be asked the same question a year ago, you might’ve did the same thing. Stutter and be in loss for words.
But if they ask you the very question today. You can pridefully answer with a happy smile plastered all over your face, “Jeon Wonwoo.”
All your life, you’ve seen people being happily in love, for it to only last a short amount of time. After the sweet lovey dovey period pass, comes the storm. The storm that would leave people in tears, heartbreaks upon heartbreaks and never ending travesty.
Past relationships of yours did nothing to break the stereotypes. Every single relationship ending with misery. Making you realize that it’s not worth the pain if you ever decided to try again.
But then, Wonwoo happened.
It’s like he got superpowers. Jumping straight out of your deepest fantasy. Breaking every fear and accusations. Granting you all the wishes you’re even too scared to dream of. The embodiment of the perfect man.
The first time you met Wonwoo was at a football game. He was dressed casually in jeans and a t-shirt. Very appropriate for the late September weather.
Wonwoo was calm, he wasn’t loud. Unlike his friends who was hollering the whole entirety of the game, he only threw a couple excited ‘Yes!’ every now and then. Making him stand out even more.
“Who’s that?” you finally give in and ask one of your friends. Can’t help yourself from glancing over to his direction way too many times.
“Which one? Be more specific. There’s literally a dozen guys if not more over there.”
“That one, the one with glasses.” you try to conceal your pointing fingers with your purse. “Does he even go here? Haven’t seen him before.”
Your friends started laughing. Landing them a confused annoyed look from you, “Bitch, don’t even think about it. He’s way too good for fucked up bitches like us.”
Rolling your eyes, you glance at his direction one last time. Your friends are right, he’s probably too nice for an insecure heartless girl like yourself. You don’t even believe in love anymore. Not after all the heartbreak you went through.
“Guess you’re right. Relationships are a waste of time anyway.”
•••
“Excuse me, is this seat taken? Wouldn’t wanna bother you but everywhere else is taken. Sorry.” a deep voice penetrates through the lofi music playing from your airpods.
You turned your head with a slight annoyance and was about to snap only to find the mysteriously calm guy from that home game a couple of weeks ago. This time dressed in a warm beige pullover contrasting his jet black hair.
You took a few seconds to soak in his appearance. His eyes were the sharpest thing you had ever seen despite being covered with his glasses. And his nose was red, probably due to the rapid drops of temperature in the early November weather.
“Yeah, sure. It’s yours.” you nod, trying your best to look away.
“Thank you.” he calmly say before taking the only empty seat next to you. Mid-term week would have the library filled up to the brim.
To this day you really couldn’t comprehend the crazy urges that came over you that day, the one that made you turn your seat slightly towards him so you could glance at him easier. Or the one that have you asked for his name and suggested that you two should save each other seats at the library.
“What the fuck? Did you just came out of the library while talking to Wonwoo?” your friend’s jaw drops as you meet her on the bench to eat the take-out she’s currently holding up for you to take.
“You know him? Did you asked for extra sauce?”
“Yeah, I got like 3 classes with him. And I did, had to pay extra for those. Don’t change the subject, why were you talking to Wonwoo?” your friend demands as she hands you the little containers of sauce.
Drenching your lunch with sauce, you answer nonchalantly. “He sat next to me at the library. We talked, that’s all. And I’ll pay for my sauces don’t you worry, love.” you wink at your friends.
“He’s very cute ain’t he? He’s single I think. But you gotta shoot your shot fast cause I know for a fact half of the girls in my class are crushing on him.” your friends wiggling her eyes in a very teasing manner.
You sigh loudly, confused wether you’re happy with knowing that he’s single or a tad bit jealous thinking he got girls drooling all over him.
Shaking your head to rid yourself the ridiculous thoughts, you snap at your friend. “Shut up, you know I don’t do relationship. Besides we’ve only just met, so calm your fucking tits.”
Rolling her eyes, your friend swallows her food before murmuring lazily, too familiar with your cynicality. “Yeah, yeah, you and your stupid relationship bullshit. I’m just saying that Wonwoo’s a catch and a ton of people I know tryna fish.”
And this time it is your turn to roll your eyes at your friend, acting as if you have no care in the world yet your night ends with you staring at the ceiling wondering why this particular man with a smile that turns his eyes into slits wouldn’t leave your mind.
•••
Your friend : I swear if you stood me up again, I will never talk to you ever again!!!!!! You couldn’t possibly be studying on a friday night!!!!!!!
You : Babe, I fucking love you, you know I do. But I have to take a raincheck tonight. Pls don’t hate me <3
Your friend : You better gave me a solid fucking reason. Our whole friendship depends on it.
You : I have a date… with Wonwoo… How’s that for a reason?
Your friend : ????????? SPILL!!!!!!
You : STOP CALLING ME OR I’ll BLOCK YOUR ASS! I’ll tell you everything tonight!
Your friend : YOU BETTER!
And with that you threw your phone on the bed before going back to your make up. Rushing as you glance at the time, knowing Wonwoo would be here soon.
If the countless study dates you’ve been on with Wonwoo have taught you one thing, it’s that Jeon Wonwoo is a punctual man, showing up exactly on the dot every single time. So it’s no surprise to you when your phone rings at exactly 5 PM.
“Hey. I’d open the car door for you but I know you’ll just make fun of me for it. You know.. the whole cheesy gentleman stuff you hate.” Wonwoo welcomes you with a smile as you sit yourself on his passenger seat.
You had to remind yourself to breathe as you take in his appearance. Wonwoo in leather jacket should be a crime. No, Wonwoo in any kinda clothing would look so good it should be a crime. But then again, Wonwoo without any clothing would—
You shake your head vigorously to get rid of the thoughts. Fastening your seat belt as a distraction from the man seated on the driver seat staring at you with the biggest smile plastered on his face. “Looks like you know me better than I do.”
And you weren’t wrong. Not at all. Over the next few weeks, Wonwoo has proven he knows you like the back of his hand.
Wonwoo would casually do these sweet little things you never thought would spread warmth in your chest, like giving you the last piece of pizza or opting to switch your matcha latte with his macchiato when the barista got your order wrong, knowing you wouldn’t have the heart to call the barista out and would just pretend to drink the matcha latte.
You didn’t realized it at first, but Wonwoo has changed you for the better. Often times you’re shocked on how easy it is for you to let go of your ego and own up to you mistakes to him. Only to him though.
“We should’ve just took the next exit, babe. Look at the traffic.” Wonwoo laughs at the ridiculous amount of unmoving cars in front of you. He wasn’t saying it to make you feel bad about insisting to take the current exit. No, Wonwoo would never do that.
The old you would’ve fire back at him. Telling him something along the lines of how should you know that there’s going to be a power line collision that blocked the traffic flow. But instead, you just sigh, “I know, I should’ve just listened to you. I’m sorry, babe.”
Looking very confused, Wonwoo takes your hand and bring it to his lips. “Don’t be ridiculous, babe. How would you know that the traffic’s gonna be backed up?” Wonwoo continue to pepper kisses on you top of your hand. Sending shivers down your spine. “Besides, this means we got more time to listen to that favorite boyband of yours.”
In this very moment, you are now speechless. He is definitely too good to be true.
•••
Life with Wonwoo feels secure, safe if you will. Not that there’s someone out there trying to get you, but you just feel safe when you’re with him. It’s a warm kind of safe. The kind only Wonwoo could provide.
Night’s without his raspy voice lulling you to sleep felt like a nightmare. Hours not spent looking at his piercing eyes felt like it was moving half the speed.
Sometimes you would find yourself wondering how much you’ve changed.
You, the girl who’s no longer believe in love, let alone being in a relationship is now spending most of your time glued to Wonwoo’s side willingly.
You, who pretty much always refuse any form of kindness from other people, thinking you don’t deserve it or scared with the burden of not being able to return the kindness, is now accepting everything Wonwoo is giving you willingly. Be it affection or pretty books he ordered for you with no special occasion.
These changes not only surprises you but also people around you. Shocked gasps echos in you friend group whenever you brought Wonwoo along. Talking about how wild it is for you to be stuck to a guy this long when you usually only stay with a man for two weeks tops.
“Babe, do you.. maybe.. wanna meet my friends?” Wonwoo asked nervously one night. Looking down at you who’s currently laying on the couch with your head resting on his lap. Wonwoo’s finger playing with your hair as the two of you catch up on the latest marvel series that just keep coming.
Hearing him being nervous made you chuckle, “Why do you sound like that?”
“Like what?”
“Like you're nervous or something. And yes, I would love to meet your friends.” you smile at him as one of your hand reach up to pat the side of his face. Making Wonwoo smile back before he leans in and plant the sweetest kiss on your forehead.
You’ve seen his friends a few times but never actually meet them before. His friends are loud, you wouldn’t think Wonwoo would hang out with them given his very calm and collected personality.
You remember clearly how Wonwoo caught your eyes that night, sitting calmly enjoying the game as his friends noisily holler at every single little thing that happened. Meanwhile Wonwoo would just casually balling his fist with excitement whenever your school scored a point.
“Do you think they’re gonna like me?” you ask Wonwoo, suddenly feel nervous as he backs his car into the driveway. It was a small get together held in one of his friends name Hoshi’s house.
Being the over analyzing person that you are, you asked Wonwoo to give you a brief explanation about his friend group. Apparently there are thirteen of them including Wonwoo. They’ve been friends since a long time ago, hence why he’s so comfortable around them despite their differences.
“They would, trust me. I’m just scared you’re gonna get overwhelmed. Cause they sometimes could be too much.” Wonwoo pauses, his hands fly to the either side of your face, giving you a small squeeze of reassurance before continuing, “Especially Hoshi, Seungkwan dan DK. If you ever need me to swoop in and get you out of there just wave your hand and I’ll come to the rescue.” he jokes, planting a quick peck on your nose.
You’re pretty sure your heart just did a backflip.
Keeping you close to his side, Wonwoo lead the two of you to the main living room where you can definitely hear the extravagant noise of singing and laughing.
And right when they spot the two of you everyone who was sitting automatically stand up and clapping, meanwhile the one who’s already standing rushed to welcome the both of you.
“Oh wow, you’re so pretty, no wonder Wonwoo would rather hang out with you. Can’t blame him.” says the guy who introduced himself as Jeonghan earlier, making you burst out laughing. Can’t handle the cheesy compliment.
“Okay! Passed! She’s not the shy type, like the one Seungcheol always bring. Good job Wonwoo!” Seungkwan semi-shout, gathering everyones attention. Pulling laughs from everyone except from Seungcheol.
And with that you easily insert yourself with the fun dynamic Wonwoo’s friend group always seemed to carry. Spending the night laughing, singing and dancing along to the choreographed routine that Hoshi’s just made on the spot.
You were having so much fun with Wonwoo’s friend, you sometime would psyched yourself out thinking he would stare you down and be mad cause you’re being too close with his friends only to find him sitting comfortably smiling warmly at you, enjoying the performance you put out with his friends.
When it was time to go home, you can feel your heart beating fast walking beside Wonwoo to his car. He hasn’t said a word to you. Not until the two of you seated inside his car.
“Did you have fun?” you hear him say, you’re too afraid to look at him.
Staring down at your intertwined fingers, you answer him. “Wonwoo I’m sorry, I should’ve known the limit. I was being too friendly with your friends. I’m sorry.” you softly plea.
A few seconds passed with no sound heard from the both of you. Then Wonwoo chuckles. “Babe, look at me.” he softly say, putting his long fingers under your chin to advert your gaze towards him. “Why are you saying sorry? I love how you get along with my friends.”
To say that you are in shock is an understatement.
“Wh.. what?” you stutter, finally have the courage to look into his eyes.
“Babe, why are you trembling? Do you feel sick?” Wonwoo panics, grabbing you with two strong arms. You can see the evident worry in his beautiful eyes.
And at that moment you are flabbergasted. You couldn’t believe that this person sitting right in front of you, whose currently in the state of panicking thinking you’re not feeling well is real. You really thought he was saving his rage for you to hear now. And you have every single one of your friend’s toxic relationship to blame for it.
A person like Wonwoo exist.
And right now you can feel yourself falling and falling into him. Every baggage you’ve been packing seemed to be fading and now, all you can see is Wonwoo.
Catching him off guard, you launch yourself forward pass the car console and into his lap.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you.” you chant into his neck. Can’t find it in you to look him straight in the eyes.
Still shocked, Wonwoo run his hands down your back in attempt to soothe you. “Hey, are you okay?”
Sensing the warm tears spilling down your face to his neck, Wonwoo abruptly pull you away from him to really make sure you’re okay. “Hey, hey, what happen? I’m lost, why are you crying, babe. Did I do something?”
With staggered breath you finally manage to say, “I have never felt so loved and trusted. Nobody ever loved me like you do.”
You can see Wonwoo’s shoulder relaxed as if a huge weight was lifted off of it. “Oh baby, if only you could see yourself through my eyes.” Wonwoo softly say with his hands running up and down your arms. “I know, you don’t like me being cheesy but let me say this one time. You deserve it, babe. You deserve all my love and more. I hate how you always doubt yourself and thinking you’re not deserving of what you have.”
Partly because you’re starting to blush hearing the sweet, sweet words falling from Wonwoo’s mouth, you hide yourself with both your hands. “I really wish I could love me the way that you love me. The way I love you.”
“I hope so too, babe. But I’ll be here and I will love you until you see how much you’re worth.” You can feel Wonwoo’s fingers circle your wrists and pulling it down so he could stare right into your eyes.
“You’re so fucking pretty.” Wonwoo whispers as he inches closer.
And as soon as you close your eyes, you can feel the warmth of Wonwoo’s lips on yours. Moving softly against yours in the sweetest pace.
Sighing, you let yourself melt into the kiss, into him.
You don’t know which stars to thank for bringing Wonwoo into your life. All you know is you’re forever grateful of having your perfect boyfriend by your side, through thick and thin.
Making you love not only him but also yourself more with every passing day.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Humans are often regarded as one of God's most remarkable creations. Their gift lies in their capacity to feel and, perhaps most importantly, their ability to choose. This choice extends to the depth at which they allow emotions to permeate their existence and whether they will permit these emotions to wield control. Among the plethora of emotions humans grapple with, two stand out as the most transformative: Love and Fear.
Fear can, at times, feel like the venomous bite of a serpent. Its poison infiltrates the body slowly, much like a creeping shadow merging with the blood coursing through the veins. Gradually, your body turns an eerie shade of blue, the coldness seeping into your very core, and then comes the numbing sensation. At this point, it seems as though your soul has departed, leaving behind nothing but an empty vessel.
Jeon Wonwoo, a man of logic and strategy, had experienced this paralyzing fear on just four distinct occasions throughout his life. In his family of Jeon cousins, he had always been seen as the rational and reliable one. Born to Jeon Wooshik and Sunmi, he was their cherished child and the apple of his grandmother's eye. When he was seven years old, his parents had contemplated expanding their business to Japan. However, his grandparents opposed the idea, so he continued his education in his homeland until middle school. At the age of 16, he relocated to London. This was where he first encountered Eleanor, his initial love.
Wonwoo had led a simple, disciplined life. He had a profound understanding of who he was and the influence he held. Yet, he was also acutely aware of the fragility of the intricate game known as life. He understood that the moment one took something for granted, life was apt to roll the dice and reveal its unpredictable hand. Thus, one must continually prove their worthiness. It was his grandfather who had once imparted the wisdom that good things come to those who work diligently for them.
The first of those four chilling episodes transpired when he was 16 years old. At that age, he was the epitome of youthful exuberance, with all the confidence and recklessness that adolescence often entails. He and his middle-school friend, Mingyu, both avid astronomy enthusiasts, set out for a night of stargazing. Mingyu, having recently acquired his driver's license, often drove to a place he discovered in one of his adventures. Mingyu had a dream to build an observatory near the pond in the newly developed section of the jungle, known as Bourbon Street. In one of their ambitious plans, Wonwoo intended to construct a home for himself and Eleanor on the same property. Yet the thing about plans is humor in itself for God.
They were behind the wheel, cruising along the rain-slicked roads. Boys at the age of 16, reckless and unbridled, invincible in their own minds. The night was tranquil, and the promise of adventure hung in the air. Suddenly, as they rounded a corner, a small raccoon darted across the road. Wonwoo's instincts took over; he slammed the brakes. However, the combination of the wet road and the vehicle's speed sent the car skidding out of control. It flipped, the world spinning in disarray.
The experience was an instant awakening. Fear gripped Wonwoo in its cold embrace as he struggled to make sense of the world turned upside down. When he gazed upon his friend, Mingyu, his eyes were lifeless, staring back at him. It was the first time in his young life that he felt the icy fingers of that overpowering fear.
In the days and weeks following the accident, Wonwoo wrestled with a profound sense of survivor's guilt. The memories of the ill-fated night haunted him relentlessly.
He couldn't shake the idea that he should have been the one to die that evening, not Mingyu. Why had the universe chosen to spare him? Why had he survived when his best friend had not? These thoughts tormented him, and he often found himself lost in a whirlpool of sorrow, asking questions that had no answers.
Attending Mingyu's funeral deepened his guilt. As he stood by the gravesite, holding a portion of Mingyu's ashes in his trembling hands, he made a silent promise to his departed friend: he would build that observatory and dedicate it to him, as a way of carrying a piece of Mingyu's dreams and ambitions into the future.
The accident not only left a deep emotional scar but also brought to Wonwoo's attention the stark realities of life. It dawned on him that wealth and privilege could serve as a protective shield against the harshness of the world. The news of the accident had been suppressed, and Wonwoo's influential family had made certain that Mingyu's family was well compensated. Their wealth ensured that they could keep the incident out of the public eye.
Wonwoo's mother, upon hearing the news that her son was safe, clung to him tightly, weeping with gratitude that her precious child had been spared. It was a poignant moment that emphasized how fortunes could dramatically shape the course of life. Wonwoo's grandmother, who had a strong hand in the family, took immediate action. She issued a stern decree that her grandson was not to drive anywhere without a driver, instilling in him a sense of dependency that he had never felt before.
As time passed, The pain soothed and people moved on. After the accident, the municipal held an auction for the land where the accident had happened, and the price had significantly dropped. Wonwoo', well aware of the land's importance, acted quickly to successfully bid for the plot in his name. But he was outbid by someone else named 28. When he turned to look, he saw a lady in uniform and noticed a young girl, not much older than 12, with two neatly braided pigtails and a white frock. She sat prim and proper, yet her gaze seemed fixed on something beyond the scene. The first thought that occurred was 'Isn't she a bit young to be here?'
During the auction's lunch break, Wonwoo strolled near the pond and spotted the same girl. She was assisting a mother duck whose legs had become entangled in plastic and a branch. The duck had pecked at her, but the girl's steady and skilled hands worked swiftly to free the distressed bird. The brood of ducklings stood nearby, watching nervously as the rescue unfolded.
Wonwoo was intrigued and wanted to approach but hesitated, not wanting to disturb the scene. The girl expertly untangled the duck's legs and let her rejoin her ducklings in the pond. Returned with a handkerchief filled with breadcrumbs, and started feeding them.
Wonwoo slowly approached them when her voice cut through,
"You shouldn't walk so loudly; you'll scare them away," she told him gently.
"Sorry," he offered, realizing he had been inattentive. "But didn't they hurt you? Why are you feeding them?"
The girl shrugged and replied, "My mother says that sometimes people who are hurt say harsh things because they don't know how to ask for help."
This response left Wonwoo pondering how a young girl like her displayed more wisdom and sensitivity than most of his friends, peers, and even many adults in his life. As a token of their interaction, she offered him a piece of bread to feed the ducks. Their conversation was interrupted when someone called her
"Miss, Let's go".
She handed Wonwoo the handkerchief, instructing him to feed the ducks well, and then left, heading toward a waiting car where a woman in uniform awaited her. Animatedly, she recounted her rescue mission to the uniformed lady, who listened with a smile.
As the car pulled away, leaving Wonwoo behind, he watched the girl's lively chatter and thought to himself, "Cute kid." He then proceeded to distribute all the bread from the handkerchief to the ducks, tucking the now empty cloth into his pant pockets. It was the first time he had been outbid twice in one day, and it left him pondering how he might acquire the land from the mysterious bidder number 28.
The second time Wonwoo felt that profound fear was during his grandmother's final moments. The room was bathed in a gentle, fading light, and the air was heavy with a sense of solemnity. Wonwoo, his mother, and other family members stood around her bedside, their faces etched with sadness.
His grandmother, a wise and gentle presence throughout his life, lay frail. Her breathing was shallow and labored as she approached the end of her journey. Wonwoo's mother, Sunmi, gently held her mother-in-law's hand. The old woman's eyes, once filled with a lifetime of stories, met Wonwoo's, and in those fading orbs, he saw a mixture of love, wisdom, and sorrow.
With the last of her strength, she whispered words that etched themselves deep into Wonwoo's soul. "Wooshik's father must have been lonely for a long time," she said softly, her voice trembling like a fragile leaf about to fall. Then, with those poignant words, she closed her eyes for the final time.
The third time that chilling fear gripped Wonwoo's heart was on a quiet evening, a month after his grandmother's funeral. He sat alone in his London flat, the room illuminated only by the soft glow of streetlights filtering through the curtains.
His phone lit up with notifications. As he picked it up and swiped through the messages, his world shattered. There, on the screen, were photographs of Eleanor's wedding, a vision of her radiant in her bridal gown, sharing smiles and vows with someone who wasn't him. The images were a bitter testament to the future they would never share.
But it was the text message that accompanied the photos that sent a dagger of fear through him. Eleanor's words were cold and final as if she had made a calculated decision. "I didn't want you to know this from anyone else," the message began, and with those words, a sense of dread intensified. "It is what it is. I gave this a lot of thought, and I don't think the future I envision for myself can be fulfilled with you. The skeletons in your family's closets can easily be discovered if anyone digs enough, and I can't have anyone or anything holding me back. I am sorry, goodbye."
It was the realization that someone he had loved, someone he had envisioned his future with, could cast him aside so easily that brought forth this crippling fear. It wasn't just the loss of love but the revelation that people could be ruthless in the pursuit of their own ambitions, leaving behind a trail of broken promises and broken hearts. It was a fear of vulnerability and the harsh realities of the world, one that came crashing down like a tidal wave on that fateful evening.
The fourth time that fear gripped Wonwoo was on the night before the custody case. He had settled into a fitful slumber on the room couch when the sound of whimpering sliced through the silence of the night.
Groggily, he rose from the couch and followed the plaintive sounds to find you. You were in your bed, yet you were not at peace. The covers were tangled around you, and your body was contorted as if caught in the clutches of a terrible dream.
Tears streamed down your face, and you muttered in your sleep, "Sorry, please, no."
Your forehead glistened with sweat, the beads gathering into small, glistening droplets. It was as if you were caught in a nightmare, a place of torment that he couldn't reach.
Without thinking, he reached out and gently took your hand. He couldn't explain the rush of emotions he felt at that moment—the desire to protect, to comfort, to chase away whatever demons haunted his dreams.
For the first time, he realized that this had become more than just a business deal. In that darkened room, Wonwoo's heart clenched with the understanding that he was now deeply invested in this struggle.
....
For Wonwoo, his pursuit of that particular land had festered for a long time, a clandestine ambition kept secret from even his parents. So, when his father mentioned the L/N family, it felt like the stars were aligning in his favor. It no longer mattered what it took; he wanted it, and he was willing to do whatever it required. Even if that meant getting married. He knew your father was a stubborn man, and how do you tempt someone who seemingly has everything? The answer was simple—by getting to the one for whom he had built that empire.
On a Wednesday morning, Chan presented him with your file. Wonwoo hadn't expected you to be so different from what he had imagined, influenced by popular beliefs and presumptions.
"This is interesting," he murmured, his lips curving into a smirk.
Chan, who stood there holding the file, raised an inquisitive brow. "What is?"
The object of Wonwoo's interest was a photograph. In it, You were sitting in a children's park. Your hair shimmered under the sun; a smile played on your lips as you looked down at your phone. He recalled when you stood, barely reaching his chest in height, feeding ducks in that park.
"She's mostly settled in Switzerland," Chan informed him. "She opened and is running a branch of their family's diamond and stones business there."
"Please turn to the next page," He instructed, Wonwoo's gaze locked on the photograph. He glanced up at Chan as the information continued. "We've gathered that the land was initially solely under her name, but a year ago, an unidentified benefactor was also added."
Wonwoo flipped to the next page and saw a photograph of you pushing a blonde child on a swing. "Her child?"
"Secret child. No one is aware of its existence, not even her parents."
"Secret child, huh?" Wonwoo leaned back in his chair, a sinister smile playing on his lips. The little girl is all grown up now. His fingers traced his jawline.
"What about the father?" He inquired.
"Well, it seems like he's not in the picture," Chan mused, "No pun intended."
Chan caught the fed-up look in Wonwoo's eyes.
"Well, then," Wonwoo said, focusing on the bigger picture, "Burbone doesn't seem that far now, does it, Chan?"
A knowing look passed between them.
....
Late at night, the soft amber glow of a desk lamp illuminated the spacious office of Jeon Wonwoo. A crystal tumbler filled with whiskey stood beside a scattered array of paperwork. The gentle clinking of ice cubes accompanied his contemplative thoughts as he swirled the golden liquid in the glass.
His mind drifted back to the series of events that had led him to this point. Meeting you had been a surprise, to say the least. The sweet and easily chatty girl he remembered from his teenage years had transformed into a rose with thorns, sharp-tongued and unapologetically independent.
When you proposed the marriage, he had seen it as an opportunity to create the conditions and situations that would inevitably lead you to give up the coveted land. There was nothing else about you that interested him, and if he could assist you in gaining custody of a child, there was nothing to lose.
Wonwoo had never been particularly interested in having children, despite his parents' persistent pressure. But as he watched you with Noel for the first time when you both slept in the same bed, cuddled due to the fatigue of the wedding and the flight, something shifted within him. The knots in his heart began to unravel, and gradually, he found himself looking forward to coming home.
Whether you were in your home office or the living area, watching Noel play games or having dinner together, there was an inexplicable warmth in these moments. He had started to make sure that he completed his work by 7 in the evening, eager to be part of these family moments.
He had even stopped smoking at home, convinced by his newfound understanding of the health risks it posed to children. Only two months had passed, but he didn't even realize how much he enjoyed talking to you. It was as if, with each passing day, there was something new and enchanting about your routine, and you were becoming more beautiful by the day.
...
It is widely believed that there's nothing scarier than a man who has nothing to lose. Jeon Wonwoo was widely regarded as someone who had very few things he held dear, making it difficult to get under his skin. Profit always took precedence. So why, when Noel's uncle casually claimed that you both had slept together, did it bother him so much?
The feeling was foreign, something he couldn't quite comprehend. It was none of his business, but still, it gnawed at him. The mere thought of it made him uneasy.
He couldn't explain why your laughter in the field upon his loss resonated within him, why it made his heart pound. He couldn't fathom why he felt pride swell in his chest when he saw you getting along with his family and cousins, especially his parents who hold you in such high regard. Nor he could understand why his heart felt like it was being torn into pieces when you looked at him, your eyes filled with what seemed like a betrayal.
He watched you talking to Eleanor on the balcony, contemplating whether to join you. But before he could decide, you stepped out, looking a little tired. Concerned, he thought about calling you,
As Wonwoo cautiously approached you, he observed your hesitation and stopped in confusion. Just as he was about to reach out and touch your shoulder, he overheard the reason you had paused.
"I mean, what else can I expect? I heard Master Wonwoo’s grandfather used to be a constructor and a loan shark. Poor L/Ns, where they've got themselves, trapped into," one of the maids had said.
"But didn't they build the company?" the other maid asked.
"Well, yes, after getting married, Master Wooshik's grandfather gave his father a handsome dowry on the condition if he leaves—"
Their voices were interrupted by a commanding voice, "What are you two busy chatting about? Come here; dinner time is approaching."
"Yes, ma'am."
Wonwoo's gaze was now fixed upon you, concern etched into his features and lips drawn into a line as he sought to understand how these revelations were affecting you.
The words, "They changed their minds the moment they heard the child's worth," echoed in your mind, like a relentless refrain. The weight of it pressed upon you, causing your heart to ache as your anger grew.
As you contemplated confronting the man who had spoken these words, you realized the futility of such an act. The last thing you wanted was to give them more to gossip about, to become the topic of their shallow conversations. Instead, you decided to remove yourself and Noel from the party, away from these people.
With determined steps, you began walking toward the room where Noel was. He observed your actions, his eyes focused intently on you.
However, as you were about to step into the room, Wonwoo suddenly grabbed your wrist, halting you with a yank. His grip was firm, and his voice carried a sense of urgency.
"Let go of me," you gritted your teeth, your eyes sending a clear warning.
"Where are you going?" Wonwoo asked his tone a mix of concern and curiosity.
"None of your business. Let go of me," you insisted, tugging at your wrist in an attempt to free yourself.
But Wonwoo wouldn't release his hold, and you noticed a waiter emerging from the storeroom under the stairs, looking embarrassed as if caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"Wonwoo -" you started, but he didn't let go. Instead, he pulled you closer, his voice a harsh whisper in your ear.
"Y/n, stop giving them something more to talk about."
Feeling your resistance wane, you allowed him to lead you into the room. Once inside, you forcefully yanked your wrist away from his grasp.
"Don't you ever dare to drag me like this," you warned, your eyes blazing with anger.
Wonwoo sighed, clicking the lock on the door. He turned to face you, his hands tucked into his pockets. The room was dimly lit, the soft glow of a single lamp casting a warm aura. The moonlight seeped through the curtains.
"Sorry," he mumbled, avoiding eye contact.
You glared at him, your frustration and disappointment evident.
"I get it that you're angry," he acknowledged.
"I am not angry at you, Wonwoo," you replied, your voice dripping with exasperation. "I am angry at myself for believing that someone like you could be any different from the others."
Wonwoo furrowed his brow, genuinely puzzled. "What do you mean?"
"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about," you retorted, stepping closer to him. "You're just as shallow as Nikolai."
The mention of Nikolai's name sparked irritation in Wonwoo. He took a step towards you. "Two billion is all it took for you and your family to accept Noel? I mean, what else can I expect from a man who said that I always weigh my gains before making any deal."
Wonwoo stared at you, aghast. "You'll take the words of gossip over the two months that you've known me, Y/n? Is that your opinion of me?"
"Don't you dare turn this on me, Wonwoo!" you shot back. "This has nothing to do with gossip. This is coming from what I have observed. Just a few weeks ago, your parents, who were so set against the very idea of Noel's name being attached to you, which, mind you, I didn't even ask for, are now treating him as if he's their own."
Wonwoo looked at you, bewildered. "People can have a change of heart, Y/n."
"Of course, they can, Wonwoo," you replied, closing the gap between you. "That's the whole point. The moment they realize this is not just some poor orphan but the heir to a two-billion-dollar company, of course, anyone can have a change of heart."
Unknowingly, you walked even closer, until you were face to face.
"Don't you think you're speaking a little out of turn here, baby girl?" Wonwoo gave a mocking chuckle.
You didn't back down when he stepped into your space. "Do you think my family and I even give a flying fuck about two billion?"
"Did you even bother asking me what I talked about with my father? What I say to him for them to accept Noel?" Wonwoo's irritation was palpable. "No, you just assumed and deluded yourself into thinking that your version of things is the truth, and the rest are just out here to fool you."
Wonwoo took a step forward making you take a step back, his frustration evident. "I mean, what can I expect from a woman who was in love with her best friend's husband and raising his child as if it's her own? Now tell me, who is the shallow one? Who is the one who's feeding into her own imagination?"
The room was filled with tension, as both of you locked gazes.
They say that no one knows a person better than themselves, but sometimes, when our fears and doubts about ourselves are voiced by someone else, it feels like a crushing weight on our chest. It's as though they've laid bare our pride in a fragile glass jar and carelessly shattered it, the shards cutting into our very being.
As you stared at the man in front of you, your legs felt weak, unable to bear the emotional weight of his words. The defiance that had initially burned within you had been replaced by a sense of powerlessness. A lump rose in your throat, choking your ability to respond.
"I knew I should've walked out of your office that day," you whispered, your voice trembling with sadness. The room seemed to close in around you, and you found it difficult to maintain eye contact.
Wonwoo, however, realized his mistake a beat too late. He had seen the pain in your eyes, and at that moment, his breath hitched as he comprehended the depth of his error. It was clear to him that he had screwed up.
You moved away from him, your head cast down as you walked toward the door. But before leaving, you turned to face him and said, "I think we're done here, Wonwoo. My lawyer will be contacting you soon."
"Don't be stupid, Y/N. You know you'll be losing Oasis and Burbone Road as a whole if you divorce me, right?" Wonwoo's voice held a trace of warning.
You met his words with a sardonic smile. "Consider it a gift for everything you've done till now. Either way, you were going to work your way to earn full ownership, of your side projects under confidentiality. Isn't that right, Mr. Jeon?"
"Don't call me that," he grumbled.
"I'll take the blame so you don't have to worry—"
But before you could finish, he cut in. "The court will withdraw your adoption application. We're in a 6-month trial period, and the first visit is in 2 weeks from now."
You closed your eyes briefly, collecting your thoughts. "That's for me to think about. As I told you in the office, I know there is always another way, another door."
He turned his body toward you, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "What would that be? Another husband, or this time you'll go to that bastard, Nikolai?"
Your patience wavered as his audacity pushed you. You felt the fire that had almost extinguished rekindling. He had the nerve to say this when his flimsy NDA paraded around as if after his mother, she held the first claim over him. "Maybe. Maybe this time I'll just go to Nikolai. What's it to you? Maybe I'll consider his proposal." You stepped into his space, poking your finger into his chest.
Wonwoo could feel a growl rising in his throat, and your next words shattered his control. "I mean, he'll be more than happy to oblige. Who are you to tell me what I can and cannot do-"
Before you could finish your sentence, Wonwoo grabbed the back of your head and crashed his lips onto yours.
Wonwoo's breath was heavy as he pulled back slightly, his dark eyes locked onto yours. "Repeat that," he demanded, his voice laced with force and a hint of jealousy.
You, equally breathless, didn't back down. "I said, who are you to tell me what I can and cannot do—"
Before you could finish, he crushed his lips onto yours, his kiss passionate and demanding. You broke for a moment, staring at him with heavy breaths, your gaze shifting to his lips. Without hesitation, you both leaned in, kissing again.
He swiftly picked you up, and you wrapped your arms around his neck. His teeth grazed your lower lip, eliciting a moan from you. Your lips disconnected, and the back of his knees hit the mattress. He sat down with your knees on either side of his thighs. His lips found your neck, and his hand creased your backside, giving it a playful squeeze.
"Wonwoo," you breathed out, your voice filled with desire.
He raised his head from the crook of your neck, his eyes dark with passion. "Yes, Babygirl."
Your chest heaved, your lips swollen from the heated kiss. Wonwoo felt two contradictory emotions coursing through him: anger at the thought of others getting to see you like this, and pity that they weren't able to call you theirs.
Your nails scraped gently across his scalp as you both leaned in for another kiss when a sudden knock at the door interrupted the passionate moment. The voice on the other side called your name, and you stumbled out of Wonwoo's grip, your heart racing.
"Ms. Y/N, are you in there?" The voice persisted.
"Yes," you squeaked, clearing your throat, your cheeks flustered.
"Uhm, Ms. Y/N, Master Jeon is looking for you and Young Master, to join him for dinner. Do you—perhaps know where Young Master is?"
"We'll be right there, Cecilia," Wonwoo answered. You looked at him in shock and mouthed, "Unbelievable."
Wonwoo ran a hand through his hair and threw himself back onto the bed. Your heart was still pounding, as if you were a teenager caught doing something you shouldn't be doing.
"Y/N," he began, but you cut him off.
"I'll go first," you said with a hasty glance and fixed your appearance. With rushed steps, you exited the room and made your way to the dining hall, leaving him behind.
Noel was seated next to your father-in-law, and they were engrossed in a discussion about their upcoming fishing trip. You wanted to move him away from that table, but you refrained from creating any scene. Jungkook sat opposite Noel, and you took the seat next to him. Han Joon-hee joined the conversation, Jungkook was telling a tale of the time he had caught a swordfish with his bare hands, and Noel's eyes sparkled with fascination when he heard it. "The swordfish shoved his sword up his ass," Joon-hee added, and everyone at the table burst into laughter.
Eleanor and her husband were conspicuously absent from the dinner table. You and Joon-hee engaged in casual conversation, discussing topics of no particular significance, but your heart felt heavy with the weight of what Wonwoo had said earlier. Throughout the dinner, you intentionally avoided making eye contact with him. The atmosphere remained lively, but there was an underlying tension beneath the laughter.
....
That night, you lay beside Noel in his room, gently running your fingers through his hair as tears welled up in your eyes. As you struggled to hold back the tears, soon sleep engulfed you and a dream began to take shape.
You found yourself sitting in the bedroom of the apartment you used to share with Noella during your college days. Noella appeared, looking just as she did at the age of 22. You bit your tongue to suppress the tears that threatened to fall. She spoke, "The heart is a heavy burden, my love. It's okay to let your eyes shed some of its weight."
Seeing her, you immediately wrapped your arms around her. "I don't know what to do, Ella. I feel like I'm failing. I wish you were here. How could you be so selfish and leave me? How could you leave your son? I'm constantly worried that I'm not doing enough. Whatever I do will never be good enough. How could you be so selfish, Ella? How could you leave your son like this? How could you leave me like this?"
Noella offered an apology with a touch of humor, "I'm sorry, baby. In the next life, I'll send out the memo the night before."
You looked at her, initially offended, but then the two of you broke into laughter.
"You know, Y/n," Noella began, "sometimes the hardest part of letting someone go isn't about filling the voids that formed in their absence. Sometimes, it's about finding the purpose of every piece they've left behind. So let go, Y/n. Let go of the things that are beyond your control. Holding onto the broken shreds will only make you bleed. Your friendship is the best thing that ever happened to me. You were the light that helped me out of the dark, and I am forever grateful that you're here with Noel."
Tears trickled down from both of your eyes.
"I'm sorry that I was too late to realize what Joshua truly meant to you," she confessed.
You shook your head and said, "I'm glad it didn't turn out that way, or else I would've never been able to meet Noel."
"He's a good kid, isn't he?" Noella asked.
"The best," you replied with a fond smile. Then you added, "Good job."
She shook her head, denying the compliment, and said, "No, good job to you. And I'm sorry for looping you into it."
You teased, "You should've thought of that when you were doing it without a condom."
"Touché," she conceded.
You don't remember how long has it been, you rested your head on her shoulder as she caressed your head. She began In a more serious tone, "I've been thinking…"
you raised your head, she continued, "You should name your daughter Iris."
You turned your head toward her, a look of confusion on your face. "Pardon my who?"
You woke up abruptly before you could get your answer as Noel gently shook you, his concerned young eyes filled with worry., you blinked away the remnants of your dream. His small, concerned face hovered over you as he gently said, "You've been crying and calling out Mama's name. Are you having a nightmare, Tante?"
You managed a weak smile and replied, "No, sweetie. It was just a bad dream. I'm okay now."
Still not entirely convinced, Noel added, "Okay, but wake up, Uncle Wonwoo and I have to go fishing with Grandpa and JK."
'Grandpa huh?'
With that, he scampered off to get ready for his little fishing trip with the boys, leaving you to reflect on the bittersweet dream that had given you a chance to converse with the memory of your Ella.
TBC.
A/N: Wonwoo that was a messed up thing to say bruv! But atleast they kissed so welp! When I was writing that scene I just could help but think of that scene from alchemy of soul s2. I think this is the shortest chapter I’ve written of this series. These days I’m feeling as if this work not of people’s liking due to the lack of engagement. Maybe I should put it in a hiatus idk. Let’s see how this chapter does ig.

🪧. ⚜️ Eclipse ⚜️ Prologue // Wonwoo FF//
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⸙͎ pairing: dad!wonwoo × fem!reader
⸙͎ synopsis: what happens when you meet your lover from your previous life, except this time he is a dad coupled with zero memories of you two.
⸙͎ genre: heavy angst, some fluff, reminiscing of memories, happy ending?

⸙͎ word count: 437
⸙͎ author's note: hehe it's finally wonu month as well as mine!!! so this is my special series as a gift for both my and wonu's birthday♡
Lemme know if y'all want a happy ending or sad ending for this.
Tumblr media
"Bubbles run fast, why are you tortoising through the hallway hmph" the little ball of joy kept dragging you down the gallery, galloping like an excited baby bunny, eager to introduce her favorite person with her other favorite human, a.k.a her father.
"I'm not an eleven year old, bursting with energy, kiddo like you Elara!!! Please run slow Ms" panting like a dog, you two finally reach the party venue, all decked up in peonies and gilded with stardust.
"There he is" one last swish from El and that's when your entire world stood still. A feline looking man, permed locks cascading down his forehead, face plastered with the biggest smile the world has ever witnessed while his eyes form the perfect cresents on the night sky of his temples.
I mean it's not that unnatural for women to be smitten by such beauty, right? But for you, he wasn't just another random nerdy looking man you've met on the streets, someone straight outta the books. No! H-he... he was your moon, one that eclipsed over your pain, your anger, your flaws and in return made you gleam the brightest in the galaxy.
☆.☆.☆.☆.☆.☆.☆.☆.☆.☆.☆.
"Wonu-yah quick quick close your eyes and make a wish" you tightly press his biceps while bringing both of your palms together to wish upon the falling star.
"Yah silly girl, you know i don't believe in these." a slight mocking smile leaves wonwoo's lips as his lightly pinches your mochi cheeks to break your concentration.
"Yeah yeah sure sure! Why would you even need to wish for something when you have everything" getting up from the boulder you two were sharing and straddling your way through the beachy sand, you stomp away all angry.
"Okay okay I'm sorry bubbles. Tell me what you wished for" a pair of soft yet firm hands entrap your body from behind, while a cute stubby nose rests on your shoulder.
"For you to hold my hand in every universe and lead me through it. For you to always come home to me ; and for you to entwine me in your orbit in every life" single drops of tears making it way down your cheeks as you hold wonwoo's hands in yours. "W-we won't ever part tracks right? I wanna see the beauty of this world with you, enjoy each and every element only if you're there to clasp me into your arms through everything; and then finally bloom together from the soil again."
"You'll always be the star to my moon, darling. Never alone never separated, always shining bright together."
Oh only if they knew....

a/n 〰 hiiiii here’s my second drabble for this blog ! i ended up daydreaming of bf wonwoo while i was studying at a coffee shop today, i’m not okay btw … why can’t guys at my uni be like wonwoo :( HAHA hope you like it!!
not edited!
Tumblr media
You feel a hand brush over your back as you’re sat hunched over your laptop, working on a paper that was due a few days from today at your favorite coffee shop that was a few blocks away from your university. You quickly turn your head—startled by the contact since you had your earbuds on, only to find your boyfriend looking at you with a small smile.
Wonwoo brushes a few strands of hair away from your face and kisses the top of your head in greeting, “how’s your paper going?” He asks as he settles down on the seat in front of you.
You sigh, “I just started, I had to do a lot of reading beforehand.” You lean back on your chair and pout at him, “I think I need more coffee.”
Your boyfriend chuckles lightly, “how many have you had today?”
“Just two…” You trail off, looking at him with a sheepish smile and he shakes his head at you. It’s only three in the afternoon. “How about something to eat instead, then?” Wonwoo asks.
Wonwoo doesn’t scold you as much as your mother does when drinking coffee, but he makes it a point for you to always have food in your stomach because he can only imagine the amount of caffeine that’s constantly circulating through your body.
You smile at him, “I’ll take a croissant baby, thank you.”
He nods in approval and stands to buy you your food, leaving you to stare at your laptop for a few minutes, racking up your brain to form sentences for your paper.
Wonwoo comes back a few minutes later with your croissant and to your delight, another iced latte that you know is for you. He was about to sit across from you again when you grab his wrist and look up at him, pouting, “can you sit next to me? please.”
He chuckles and obliges, a teasing smile on his face when you scoot over so that he can sit down right next to you, and once he does you immediately latch on to him, hugging his arm while resting your head on his shoulder. “Did you miss me that much already? I was with you before I went to class.”
You ignore his teasing and close your eyes—tightly hugging his arm to feel his warmth, feeling mentally exhausted from reading those journal articles for your paper.
“How was your class?” You ask him, eyes still closed and breathing in his scent. He silently grabs one of your hands that wrapped around his arm, gently taking it off so that he can comfortably wrap it around your waist instead. He pulls you closer and you take this opportunity to nuzzle your face on his neck, sighing contentedly.
Wonwoo is not a fan of huge public displays of affection, and neither are you. The coffee shop was not packed like usual, which is probably why your boyfriend thought he could hold you like this for a little while without feeling uncomfortable.
“I actually have a test coming up for that class, so we just covered some of the possible questions today.” He answers, still holding you while taking a sip of his own drink—an iced americano.
You hum, “good luck baby.”
Wonwoo caresses your side in acknowledgment, and both of you stay quiet for a few minutes until you’ve decided you’ve taken a sufficient break from working on your paper. He has his arm hung loosely around your waist as you sit up and take a sip from your drink.
He takes out his book from his backpack when you begin typing on your laptop again, deciding to read while he waits for you to finish.
Coffee shops and Wonwoo—two things that make you feel at peace. The regular study dates with your boyfriend were one of your favorite forms of quality time, whether it was at coffee shops, his apartment, your dorm, or even the university library.
It’s almost as if Wonwoo knows when to pull you back from working too hard, even in the midst of your comfortable silence. It’s when you carelessly—but unconsciously toss one of your highlighter pens onto the table and let out a small sigh that catches his attention.
His hand lands on your thigh and taps lightly, “do you want to go back to my place? We can watch our show for a few hours and then you can continue your paper if you want.” He asks softly.
You slouch on your seat and turn your head to face your boyfriend, nodding your head with a pout to which he chuckles at. He pats your head lightly, “alright baby, let’s go.”

Game boy
Your gaming ‘enemy’ helps you out
The word ‘Defeat’ seemed to be taunting you as it flashed on your screen for what felt like the hundredth time. A groan escaped your lips as you let your head fall dramatically on your desk. This wasn’t the first time you lost to “1woo” as a matter of fact in your mind you had an unspoken rivalry. A message notification made you lift up your head again.
1woo: Hey. Do you want some pointers?
You kept rereading the message in shock. The enemy wanted to help you? In all the months you played against each other it never crossed your mind that he would actually be nice.
Y/N: Sure thanks :)
1woo: :)
After the last message he sent you his discord. After you joined the voice call you were even more shocked at the deepness of his voice.
“So I’ve been watching your strategy for a while and you typically play like this.” He had another screen up and demonstrated your gameplay. “I used to play like that too. But I found doing it this way and leveraging yourself like this works better.” He showed you a couple times and then asked you to do repeat it the way he did it.
After you caught on to that he praised you and moved on to the next tactic. A quiet moment came as the two of you practiced. “I’m Wonwoo by the way.” You forgot you didn’t even know his name til now. Somehow it felt like you had known each other for years.
As the two of you started talking more you realized you didn’t live that far away from eachother. Wonwoo invited you to go to the pc cafe with him sometime.
Your heart fluttered in anticipation as you walked to the cafe. The two of you greeted each other and went inside. Wonwoo set up a 2v2 game which the two of you won rather quick. Wonwoo was impressed with how much you had improved. A couple hours passed like minutes when your stomach growled loud enough he could hear it. “Shall we go eat?” He asked with an amused smirk.
He showed you his favorite restaurant and what he normally gets. The conversation flowed naturally and before long inside jokes were being made. As night settled in Wonwoo offered to walk you home. As the two of you approached your door Wonwoo asked a final question “Can I take you out again?” “I’d love that.” You responded with a smile as big as his. And just like that you had a second date set up with Wonwoo.

distant // svt jeon wonwoo
synopsis: wonwoo as ur husband, worried when you come home late and drunk, and you ask him why he's cold to you
(forced marriage trope, non-idol au, angst)
—————
you blinked when you saw the time as you glanced at your wristwatch and sighed. your phone didn't ping at all with any texts or calls. not from him, not from anyone. the lump in your throat continued to harden, but you swallowed it down with the final chug of the alcohol in the bottle you were drinking from.
where is everyone when i need them?
you couldn't blame them. your friends and family were all busy with their own lives, and even though you needed them sometimes, you never asked. you didn't want to burden anyone, especially when they have to face problems of their own.
you sighed defeatedly. you didn't have to work the next morning, but will have to prepare for a skull-splitting headache. the week just keeps getting worse. it was late, and you figured you should be heading home soon.
was it even a home? there was no warmth of a lover or the laughter of your family. it was just you and wonwoo, and you guys just lived there. two people under one roof.
"i've left the money on the table here, ma'am! thank you," you slurred to the tent bar owner and left.
the short walk home felt like forever, and your work shoes were starting to make your feet sore. you were upset and now pissed. you drank to feel numb, so why were you in so much pain?
your heart ached awfully, like it didn't fit in your chest. you wanted to rip it out and throw it away, or scream and cry until your knees gave out, or grind the soles of your shoes into the gravel until they tore and your feet bled.
but you could do none of that, so you settled for taking off your shoes and walking barefoot the rest of the way home.
despite your resolve to hate him, you couldn't help yourself. your mind ran with thoughts of your husband and only him, who was cold and indifferent to you no matter how hard you tried to be nice to him.
he was nice. he had basic human decency and kindness in his heart, but sometimes you wished he could be more pleasant to you. more romantic, even. you envied the people he smiled at, even though it was to be polite. you envied the random nice gestures he would do for his friends. you envied the strangers he treated like friends, as compared to the wife he treated like a stranger.
though, you knew you couldn't blame him, either. the marriage was loveless and you were forced. it wasn't like you liked each other before this, but it enraged you that you found a way to see past all of that and fall in love with him anyway.
the lump in your throat returned and revealed itself in the form of tears in your eyes while your heart remained painfully misplaced in your chest. with nothing left to give and exhaustion taking over your drunk and tired mind, you let yourself cry as you dragged yourself home.
"fuck this shit," you cursed as you struggled with the keys, blinking through the fresh tears that were blurring your vision.
i've never cried this much since i was twelve, you thought, annoyed at yourself.
get it together, damn it.
the door opened finally, and you dropped your shoes to the side, leaning on the wall for support as your entire body felt like collapsing. you were so tired, exhausted of all the life you had to give, mentally and physically. you wanted nothing more than to shut everyone out and crawl into a hole.
you didn't even bother to announce your arrival. it wasn't like he cared, and he was probably sleeping anyway. the light in the living room was on, you noticed, though the rest of the house was dark. a figure you recognised immediately stood, surprising you.
you thought he'd be asleep by now.
you heaved a sigh and gently kicked the door closed behind you. he didn't say anything. he just walked over towards you, stopping a good two metres away as you walked in the apartment, still leaning on the wall for support.
"where were you?" he asked, his voice kept low.
the room was spinning and you blinked slowly, just to be sure you weren't mistaking the tone of his voice to be relief, and a little bit of concern. you wouldn't do that to yourself again.
"work," you replied curtly, not wanting to speak to him.
everything was piling up on you and was threatening to spill. you were afraid if you spoke to him you would explode and cry, which you thought would be embarrassing for you since he didn't care, or you might say something you would live to regret. so you chose to keep mum while he kept probing you for more answers.
"i'm talking to you, y/n,"
you mumbled some response, not really listening to him. you were tired and not thinking straight. this conversation wasn't going to go anywhere. you just wanted to sleep.
wonwoo wasn't angry at you, but he wasn't necessarily pleased either. you'd never acted like this. though he never replied, you would always text him if you would be out late or had to work overtime. this nonchalant and dismissive behaviour from you was something new, and he didn't like it.
he stalked towards you and to your dismay, your effort to walk away faster failed as you stumbled and almost landed on the floor. he was quick to react, catching you before you fell.
"have you been drinking?" his voice was softer, no more than a whisper.
wonwoo was much closer now and could smell the alcohol on you. you pulled away from him, a bit too harshly and you could have sworn you saw him flinch in surprise. you staggered backwards a little bit, but managed to regain your balance.
good, you thought. that'll teach him not to mess with me.
"yes, i have," you answered almost defiantly. "i can't cry so i drink my despair away like a fucking loser,"
your slurred response seemed to shock him as he stood there at a loss for words. wonwoo didn't know what to say. you rarely cursed around people. he felt like he'd been hit by a truck. he didn't even know what you were going through, and he most definitely didn't think he made your situation any better.
you were red in the face, no doubt because of the alcohol, but your expression told him more than that. you were angry.
"i'm sorry. i wasn't trying to pick a fight," he sighed.
your shoulders slumped as you regained your composure. "me neither, won,"
he nodded and you raised a hand as if waving at him, turning around to leave and go into your room.
"you're not going to ask why i waited?" he suddenly inquired, a tinge of hopefulness in his voice.
you turned back to face him, a small and insincere smile on your face. you didn't trust the hope you heard in his question. you could have just been imagining things, as you have been in the months you've been married to him.
"i think i'm growing immune to your antics, mr jeon. i'm probably just... drunk and tired, but right now i'm not that curious and don't really care,"
your response felt like a slap to his face. wonwoo wondered if this was your final straw, if you were finally done putting up with his shit. he wondered, was he too late to change?
he waited because he wanted to tell you there was a dinner party you both were invited to and that he wanted to go with you. when you didn't come home for a while after he did, he grew worried and restless. he was pacing around the living room just a few minutes before you came in. he never called, not because he didn't want to, but he just assumed your battery died since you didn't text him at all about your whereabouts.
he was also afraid, though he wasn't sure of what.
he was excited to tell you about the dinner and was looking forward to going with you, but this was it. you were done and he'd need a lot more time to win over you. maybe the dinner could be a start.
"i do sometimes wonder though," your slurring was getting worse and you were leaning more against the wall. "why do you treat me like this?"
your words snapped him out of his thoughts. the ache he felt in his chest moved up his throat and then gave him a headache. was this what he did to you?
"you don't have to love me, but can't i at least be a friend?"
"i don't know how much longer i can live like this," you admitted.
you dropped your bag to the ground and slumped down the wall to sit on the floor. the defeat and exhaustion was now showing on your face. you eyelids drooped and you leaned your head back against the hard surface. your vision was blurry, but you could still make out his figure standing with his fists clenched by his side.
you pressed the palms of your hands to your eyes to prevent the tears from falling. you didn't want him to know how weak and hopeless you felt.
as worried as wonwoo increasingly became at your condition, he kept his hands clenched by his side. he wanted to hold and take care of you, but remembered the way you pulled away when he caught you and remained frozen. it was killing him, but he didn't want to push.
"answer me, please?" you pleaded, your voice soft and airy, like you were going to cry.
"i... i don't know," he admitted, his head hanging low.
you let your hands drop as you chuckled dryly, your smile not quite reaching your eyes when you looked up at him.
"right. i should have known,"
you gathered your things and used whatever small strength you had left to stand. he wanted to say something, but his lips were sealed shut and his voice betrayed him. you smiled at him again and retreated to your room.
"i'll see you tomorrow, won. get some rest,"

𝐖𝐎𝐍𝐖𝐎𝐎(원우), Imagines, One-shot
---------------------
Pairing : wonwoo x gn!reader
Genre : fluff, romance, humour(?)
Word count : 530
Warning : use of pet names(shorty)(?), mentions of crying, use of curse words, Wonwoo and y/n are besties, confession, mention of Mingyu, reader's shorter than Wonwoo, addrative = attractive+addictive
A/n : This fanfiction is purely based on my imagination only. It's totally fictional. I hope this is good enough to make you guys happy. I'm still learning to write creatively. Thank you for supporting me. It means a lot to me. Thanks to my besties too<3...
Wonwoo and you are bestfriends. Both of you yearn for each other's love in secrecy until that one night, when he confesses to you..
---------------------
You whimpered as you tried to fight your tears which were streaming down your face helplessly. But you're efforts in vain as you recalled what you've accomplished.
"Stop crying y/n!"
"You don't understand Wonwoo!"
The tall guy was absolutely perplexed looking at his bestie as he knew that you're not the person to cry easily. He's cracking his mind maybe because you didn't even tell him what had actually happened.
"Can you at least tell me what happened? Gosh!"
Wonwoo grunted as he settled down on the couch in front of you. You got a glimpse of him stirring the hot chocolate hastily waiting for you to give him an answer. He looked so cushy and addractive. Thanks to the woolen sweater you bought for him last Christmas and the round glasses he was wearing that were covered by his raven hair strands. You didn't know for how long you were staring at him, your long term crush until he looked up at you catching you off guard.
"Tell me what happened before I throw you out of the window shorty"
You were not flabbergasted by his audacity to tell that. You were used to it by now.
"I just ended a four year relationship"
"Shit! What? Well anyways I'm so sorry to hear that"
"It's okay it wasn't my relationship"
Wonwoo's jaw dropped. His monolid eyes broadened as they darted towards you who was keeping on a cool face as if you did nothing.
"It was actually Mingyu's idea. Remember he told us that his so called girlfriend was cheating? I couldn't see him breaking down every single second. So yeah"
"Then why were you crying?"
"Do you know what crocodile tears mean? And to make you convinced I made it a bit more dramatic"
Wonwoo let out a disbelief chuckle as he gulped down the hot chocolate which was still warm despite the frosty temperature outside. You huffed as you made your way towards Wonwoo, gliding your hands around his tiny waist, you embraced him.
"It's not fair. My cardigan is too old and I can't tolerate the coldness. Cover me with yours, please"
Despite his now-flushed cheek, Wonwoo wrapped you with his overlarge cardigan. Your mouth curved into a smile when you felt his warmth surrounding you. You loosened up yourself and closed your eyes, allowing yourself into your dreamland.
Wonwoo admired your face, your features. Little did you know, Wonwoo had laid his eyes on you since the first day you guys met. You were wearing a woolen white fluffy cardigan just like his, with a sweet smile spread across your warm face, playing with the snowballs with the appearance of snow fluttering down like magical confetti. Wonwoo got a rush of butterflies as he recollected all of his memories since the first day. His heart thundered in his chest as he timidly pecked your forehead and nose while delicately tracing your features with his finger.
"For years I have yearned for you, for your warmth and your love. And I finally got it. I'll never let you go, my shorty"
"Okay, my half-blinded black cat. I love you too" you murmured under your breath, still feigning to be asleep.

_________________________________________
PRESENT
Wonu was busy adoring Jiyeon, while your eyes were on him, Jiyeon’s voice snapping you out of your trance.
“You’ll be there as early as possible. I better see you at the venue, at least a week before. Please Y/N?”she goes on, from demanding to begging real quick.
“I'll try my best Ji. You know how busy I can get” you say, sipping your hot chai.
They were getting married.
Wonwoo was getting married and it wasn't to you.
The biggest heart break of all times.
The thought of Wonwoo being the first of your friends’ circle to be hitched, is beyond you. Wonu hated commitments, relationships didn't matter.
“I still can't believe you're marrying this annoying ass, Jiyeon. He must've really worked wonders for his previous eight lives” you say, playfully knocking Wonu’s head, signalling him to get off his phone.
“Are you really my best friend?! You're supposed to be happy for me!” he whines. You just laugh at him instead of replying. Honestly, you were happy for him. Though it wasn't something your heart desired for, you were happy to see Wonwoo happy. Even if it means that you won't ever have a chance with him. Maybe you'll eventually forget him, you think. Though that's almost impossible.
Almost.
“But I agree with Jiyeon. You need to be there ASAP, Y/N. You know how much of a wreck I turn into when I'm stressed. And all of us would have more time to spend with each other. I know how stressful all our lives have been and I'm sure we've all missed each other, so please?” he rambles, all in a single breath. As much as whatever Wonu told was true, you don't think you can physically handle it all. It’d be too overwhelming for you, with your emotions splayed out and heart on your sleeve, waiting to be ripped off by none other than the groom. So, you chose the safest option – to arrive on the wedding day.
“I'll try my best Wonu. I can only wonder how stressful it can be for the both of you, but I also know you guys are THE powerful duo who can overcome anything. So, I’ll root for the both of you, hoping everything would turn out well and I'll see you on your big day” you say, wearing a warm smile covering the growing pain in you.
The couple radiate the warmest of energy and nod at whatever you said as it’s nothing but the absolute truth. They've always been this way, unbreakable no matter what. You used to envy that, as your college-self wanted them to low-key breakup. You and Wonwoo were THAT powerful duo before Jiyeon came through, it was only human for you to be jealous of them. Now you just feel tender looking at them, there's no jealousy, which is truly surprising.
Days pass by sooner than you think and you're on your way to the destination. As weird as Wonwoo can get, the wedding’s happening in winter instead of spring or summer like the others do. He was specific about this as he met Jiyeon in winter. Little did anyone know that the both of you met in winter too. Well, it was winter in your lives as you and Wonu were both loners. It’s almost fateful for the both of you to be stuck with each other for so long.
If only this wasn’t platonic, everything would be straight out of a well-written romance fiction. (haha, unlike this one)
Your said date a.k.a Seungcheol, had picked you up from your place early in the morning to drive you. Jeonghan had planned all this, since he can stay without a date as his sister was coming along. Cheol was great company, and he didn’t need to have conversations with you, making the whole scene feel alien. You were truly grateful for that, as you didn’t really have an appetite to digest the things spewed by others at the wedding. The weather was getting a bit warm for winter, making you roll your window down, feeling the sharp yet soothing breeze while you try not to feel like your heart’s about to be grilled because of the emotions you felt. Your thoughts were interrupted by Jeonghan calling Cheol, who’s phone was connected to the speaker. You pick it before he reaches, Cheol sending a small smile to you.
“Hey Cheollie, how far away are you guys?” you hear Hannie, enquiring like the mum he is.
“Hi Han, we’re an hour away. How’s it going over there?” you ask, warmth crawling up your cheeks.
“Hi Y/N!!! I can’t wait to see you,” he pauses, the boys screaming in the background as they hear about you. “These morons won’t let me speak to you, so I'm gonna hang up now and see you both soon!” he says, seemingly pushing Soonie away as he was whining over the speaker to you about not being there sooner.
Laughing, you almost hang up before pausing to ask something.
“Oh, and Han?”
“Yeah, love?”
“How’s he? Is he alright?” you ask, curiously.
Sensing how concerned you were, Han chose to not make it harder.
“He’s alright for now, babe. He’ll be okay. I’d ask about you but it’s way too early and I want you to be wrapped in my arms for at least 20mins before I ask you anything” he says, sighing in relief.
“Hannie, I thought WE were married!” Cheol whines, as you laugh at how he’s sulking over the affection Han has for you. It’s cute, how they’ve been each other's rock for so long and yours too. You’ve genuinely missed your friends so much, your heart aches a little at the instances where you avoided them to protect your peace.
Hannie’s giggles bring you back, as he replies saying that they’re over if Cheol doesn’t get us there ASAP. Now you’re dealing with a sulky Cheol, who’s whining at how Han’s pulling tricks always, though you can’t help but just laugh at your friends’ antics.
Time flies and you’re at the wedding, a whiny Chan and Soon clinging onto you as you walk. They lead you guys to where the others are and upon the sight of you, Han’s running over to you. He jumps on to you as you topple down, Hannie having no intention of letting you go. He asks about Cheol, who insisted that he can drop the bags in your room all by himself. You guys just lay on the grass for a bit and he gets up as the weather’s still a bit cold, to drag you inside the resort. Seeing all your friends made you tear up a bit, which led to all of you shedding a few tears as you guys hug the sadness away. It’s wholesome than sad, because of how much these idiots mean to you and vice versa. The friendships you’ve built with each of them is so darn precious to you and it’s baffling how you were ready to throw this all away, just for that one man. Who was now about to be married. Pushing this aside, you search for two of your other friends who were nowhere to be found. In the garden area of the resort, you find them caressing their own drinks. Mingyu’s got champagne while Jihoon’s in love with his whiskey. They’re still the same old dorks you met; you ponder over while walking towards to them.
“Already?” you say, startling the both of them as they were lost in their own drinking shenanigans.
Mingyu is the first one to get up, lifting you up while he gulfs you into him. He’s so warm and smells like home, you’ve missed this puppy.
“I’m so glad to see you, Y/N. Do you need a drink too?” he asks, ready to order one for you. You shake your head, not wanting to show up drunk at your best friend’s wedding. The minute Mingyu lets you down, you run to hug Jihoon. You feel tears stinging your eyes, heart feeling heavier than ever. Sensing that you need your time with Jihoon, Mingyu walks away telling that he’ll see you around and to contact him if anything. You hug him goodbye before turning back to Jihoon.
Honestly, he’s the best person to let your thoughts be and to just sit with it than avoiding it like a plague. Jihoon glances at you, ordering a glass of gin with ginger ale while you were settling down. Once the drink arrives, he pushes it to your side, signalling you to have it.
“Jihoon....I can’t” you say, hesitantly but low-key really needing some alcohol in your system.
“You’ll need it for later, Y/N. Have it please?” he requests, raising his glass and waiting for you to clink them with. You give up, taking the glass and toasting it with Jihoon’s before having a sip. The way your sip lasted more than it was supposed to, seemed like you were quenching your thirst but with alcohol.
Well, fuck being sober at the love of your life’s wedding, I guess.
You hang with Jihoon for a bit more, before a cute Joshua is waltzing through the room, letting you know that it’s time to get ready for the ceremony. At this, Jihoon just nodded at you and hugged you off, saying that he’ll see you at the hall in a bit. The hug lingered for a while which was broke by Jisoo, coughing to subtly steal you away from everyone.
What was with him?
Well, he had a crush on you. Everyone else knew, except for you. Even Wonwoo knew. Shua wasn’t sure if his adoration has stayed a crush for so long, but he wasn’t ready to give up on you. Though a part of him is sad that you’re not the bride, he’s slightly happier to have a chance to woo you. (PS: everyone knew you were head over heels for Wonu, cheers to being the monarch of simp nation. JK, you were too obvious around him)
Hand wrapped around his arm, Shua leads you to your room, informing that Cheol will be over to pick you up in two hours or so. You slowly get into your dress, adoring how beautiful it looks before the makeup artist’s knocking at your door. You let them in and then sit down to get your makeup done, while you snack on carrots and stay on your phone. In no time, you’re dolled up real nice and right on time, Cheol enters. He smiles at you before engulfing you in a hug, careful not to ruin the art you are.
“You look lovely, Y/N. If I weren’t gay and married to Han, I’d walk down the aisle with you tonight.” he jokes, making you laugh.
“There we go, a smile was all that was missing” he says, taking your hands in his.
“How are you feeling, dove?” he asks, eyes scanning for any discomfort or sadness.
“I’m doing alright, Cheol. Thank you for checking up on me, always” you say, giving his hands a tight little squeeze.
“Glad that Jihoon made me have a good ol’ glass of Bombay Sapphire with ginger ale. I think I can survive the ceremony without breaking down and confessing my love to Wonu, while he’s getting married to Jiyeon” you blurt out, jokingly. There’s a moment of silence as Cheol gawks at what you said before you tell him that it was a joke and how they should get going before it gets late.
Guess you are late, as the person you love would be walking the aisle with his lover, who sadly isn’t you.
Before entering the hall, you go over to see the bride and groom. You head to Jiyeon’s room, heart hurting yet happy for her. Knocking on the door, you open it to see Jiyeon, pacing around the room in her wedding gown. She looks ethereal, and so ready to share her life with your best friend. As soon as she notices you, she runs towards you to hug, and tries to collect her breaths.
“Y/N, I can’t do this. I can’t. Can you marry Wonwoo instead?” she asks, voice laced with panic. It’s pathetic how you actually consider that for a minute. Laughing it off, you pull Jiyeon back, holding her hands in yours, eyes meeting hers while you muster up the courage to say –
“Hey Ji. You’ll be alright, okay? It’s not someone you don’t know, it’s just Wonu. Everything will be alright. Breathe for me, please?"
“Right, you’re right Y/N. It's Wonwoo, why’d I didn’t think of that? Anyways, thank you Y/N. Though you’ve always been his rock, you secretly managed to be mine too” she says, a wide smile plastered on her face.
“So, I'll see you on the aisle, yeah? All the best Ji, you’ve got this” you say, leaving before she replies. Your feelings were up your throat, waiting to be pushed out anytime if you hadn’t left the room. You do the same thing you told Jiyeon – breathe. You take a few deep breaths, fixing yourself as you head towards your best friend.
Best friend.
As you were about to knock, the door opens revealing an equally nervous yet, oh-so beautifully dressed Wonu. He’s pulling you inside, locking the door behind, not giving you time to process. You wait for him to say something, instead he just looks at you like he’s about to cry if you don’t hug him.
So, you do. You embrace him in your arms, for the last time as a bachelor and probably the last time as your love.
After staying in each other’s warmth for a while, he lets go, letting you take a good look at him.
“God damn, Wonu! You look so sharp, didn’t know you could stop being in your nerd element” you joke, winking at him. He laughs, before twirling lazily to give you a 360 of his carefully crafted tux.
“Ready, big guy?” you ask, searching for any hint of resistance in his eyes. He locks eyes with you, nodding slowly. Things have always been like this with him, words didn’t seem like a necessity. You were more than glad to not be talking more than that because honestly, you wouldn't be in one piece.
“Yeah. Yes, I’m ready Y/N. Don’t think I've ever been sure of anything, than this moment right now.” he says, lips curling into a soft smile. That smile of his was reserved, only you had seen it apart from Jiyeon, of course. You reciprocate the same, hugging him for the one last time and leaving the room with the feeling of your heart, suddenly weighing a ton.
As soon as you exit the room, you find Cheol pacing around in the hallway. At the sight of you standing outside Wonwoo’s room, Seungcheol is walking towards you.
“Hey dove, you alright?” he asks, so full of concern. You smile so much as a reply. So much that your cheeks hurt and tears slowly start to well up from within the depths of your fragile heart.
“I'm okay Seungcheol. Let's head to the hall before we're late, yeah?” you slur, trying to shake your tears off. He comprehends how sensitive you are and just nods at you, silently hooking your arm to his while the both of you walk towards to hall.
You realize, the pain you feel, is beyond anything your brain could fathom and mere words can describe how much it hurts.
The hall looks so elegant and everyone there look so beautiful, like dolls in a dollhouse. There are lots of orchids and tulips, as an ornament to the room, making it look so soft yet neat. You move towards your friends, praising how good they look in their tuxedoes and chit-chatting your way through the whole thing, trying your best not to think.
Weirdly, Joshua’s by you the whole time, stuck like gum. Not that you mind it or anything, it's actually really comfortable. Cheol had left your side to sit with Hannie and he had taken over. His subtle touches and the way he looks at you – it helps you feel so grounded and you're more than thankful for that.
Music starts playing, indicating the beginning of the ceremony as you see Wonwoo, gracefully walking down the aisle with a faint blush and a soft smile set on his gorgeous face. Your heart falters at the sight and it refuses to function further when he looks at you, sending you one of his reserved smiles. You reciprocate the same, hands slowly being taken into Jisoo’s. You're amazed at how helpful his touches have been, it's shocking.
Gazing at Wonu, everything fades out for you except for the love you have for him.
And in no time, Jiyeon’s walked in, vowing to love your best friend until the last of her breath and with everything she’s got. You can feel your heart clenching, and Joshua senses the same too, as your clammy hands squeeze his unconsciously.
The thing was, Shua didn't need words from you to understand either. He looks at you, his pretty eyes checking for any discomfort and when you smile back at him, he decides not to bother you further.
There's a sudden cheering of the crowd, making you turn your head towards the couple as you see them kissing.
Vows were said, promises were made and bonds were created.
It was too late for you to do anything. You feel the emotions rushing out of you as you excuse yourself to get away from there.
I need some air you say, to all your worried friends. So busy running away from the love of your life, you don't notice Joshua following you.
As soon as you get out, clutching your chest you slump down onto the sofa at the lobby as tears paint your face. The pain is so much that you find yourself trying hard to breathe while the emotions keep nagging at you and drowning you in the depth of the love you have for Wonwoo.
While trying to calm yourself down, you feel a hand on your shoulder, the radiating warmth grounding you for the Nth time this night. You look up thinking it's Jihoon, but it's not.
Hong Jisoo stands there, tears in his eyes but also looking so fondly at you.
As if you're a porcelain tea cup who’d break if looked at any harder.
You feel pathetic, but Joshua pulls you into a hug, letting you wet his shoulders to your heart’s content. Hearts suddenly seem to weigh a ton, the energy draining all while you try your best to catch the breath you never had in the first place.
He's gone. The love of your life is no longer yours.
Jeon Wonwoo, your best friend but also the person who mattered so much, like how the sun was to the moon.
For the coldness in him, he had found his summer. But left you to be nothing, than a petal of the harsh Winter, waiting to writhe away in utter grief.

we’ll paint the sky together
Tumblr media
pairing: wonwoo x fem!reader
genre: idol!au, fluff/angst
w.c: 656 lawl it’s always like this
description: it would be otherwise but today he’ll share the yellows and you’ll share the blues
a/n: in my soft wonwoo feels today and I just started painting uh oh spoiler so here ya go!! <3 Oh and he performs love poem by IU for you
Tumblr media
His limbs were screaming at him - for mercy but he had yet to find you. You weren’t home like he’d suspected because at days like this home was not your comfort. You’d told him that.
“Wonu-yah”
“hmm?”
“I love you” a pause. he’d then turned and rewarded you with a forehead peck. And waited.
in the consort of warmth and him. Oh him. a smile grazed your lips,
“I love you . . . . and you should know that it’s been long. So long since I found comfort in someone other than me . . . . then-. . . . you came along and now , now you’re my best person.”
‘Best person’? Oh how much he loves you
“You’re my comfort , my love and jus-. Thank you for making me feel I can come back to you”
So now he was rushing to you and if you are where he is on his worst days he’s very close. To seeing you, holding you. And he let out an audible sigh of relief as all the warmth of summer rushed back to him or it could be you it was you because there you are.
As he walks over to sit next to you, he notices your head tilted up ,eyes shut and a smile to greet his presence. As he sits ,his hand is on your waist to pull you closer, the other gently moving to tuck your head in his neck.
The sky , he’d noticed, always seemed much prettier when he was here. He lived his life again in those moments. It was something you both shared , the sky held too many memories.
He’d gotten to know that when you had picked up a new hobby of painting to pass time while he played his games,
“wonu”
“yes, love?”
“we’ll paint the sky together okay?” You’d seemed all giddy at the thought.
“Keeping only the sky reserved for me ? I see how it is”
“it’s just…I only look up to the sky when any moment has been intolerable for me and it does not give me peace , anything at all. Or when I feel lonely? Both ? and it doesn’t even make sense but I thought maybe if you join me ,my perspective will change ?”
and he still wonders how he found someone who loves him truly.
“I saw your performance wonu . . . . and I’ve never felt more grateful to be loved by you. I hope you know that even if I can’t attend your concerts.”
“we both know it’s not your fault you can’t tolerate loud noises without getting headaches and aren’t you the one who tells that you don’t have to be grateful to be loved. It’s a gift for being alive, isn’t it ?”
And even though he heard you sniffle and tuck yourself closer to him , your smile tickling his neck ,he didn’t look away from the sky because,
did you change his perspective about the sky, too?
“I’m glad you remember me saying that.”
“of course I do, I love you after all”
Tumblr media
Everything was set up perfectly - the lightings, his outfit, and he’d already told Mingyu to record his performance for you, now all he had to do was his best.
The only issue? It was raining and he was scared his only way of helping you would go waste. but somehow just as the lights dimmed and he became the focus of the crowd, it all stopped. The rain , the cheers , the thundering clouds. All he could, no, would see was the sky. The blue blue sky.
and oh? It looks familiar. He knows the sky today. As the notes fall and rise to come to an end he realises with moist eyes - there you are- without even trying- in the form the sky that you both painted together.
