This woven bag was recovered from an area rockshelter. Pottery associated with the bag and the natural fibers (nettle) used to make the bag suggest an association with late precontact Oneota tradition. Perishable items such as this are rarely preserved in western Wisconsin. This one survived because of the rockshelter’s dry environment.

This cord was also made yesterday but I didn't have the spoons to post it last night after it was done. I put it on the dice bag I'd knit while pattern testing my diagonal stitch dice bag pattern, and ended up really liking how it looks, so if I end up selling all the dice bags I sewed a couple weeks ago, I may make an option to add a hand woven cord to go with it for a bit extra. It took about 2 hours to weave this one, including warping, but it's also only about 2 feet long because I didn't warp my loom to the max size it can do.
