🎄Hello friends, happy winter!🎄
❄I have so many WIPs on just now, here's a sneak peek at my tablecloth dress! It's snowing here and ofc I'm making summer clothes ^^; I am in love with it already.
❄Made with a £3 thrifted tablecloth. She needs a zip, and for me to decide in the strap design, then she'll have to wait in my wardrobe for warmer weather 🌨🌨🌨 what do you guys think?

Cottagecore dressing
I explored the house thematic, but how to dress as a cottagecore girl?
  -Natural kei.
Tumblr media
This fashion is the daughter of the 70's prairie style and its long flowered dresses.
Tumblr media
The basis is skirts  and dresses with patterns such as flowers or gingham. They are the most often, long, frilly, with laces. Shirts look vintage, and all is made of natural looking fabrics. Add a peter pan collar, and try smocks dresses too. Aprons are a must have. Unlike lolita, no specific silhouette.
Tumblr media
Colors are varied, but pale. Pink, blue, green, yellow, purple...But not neon or too pronounced colors. Shoes are mostly without heels, and are not tennis, of course. Hair is braided, or loose, with ribbons in it...
Tumblr media
-Mori kei
Tumblr media
Mori means "forest". It's more evanescent, paler too. Colors of base are white, beige, brown, green, pale grey. The basis is layering: like a jacket, poncho or shawl on a pullover, and a short skirt on a longer skirt or dress for instance.
Tumblr media
And it's clothes you float in. It can be all wool and all white (street mori), small pattern and bold colors (bohemian), bigger pattern is called mori bold. Jewelry consist of mini magnifiers, vials full of plants, crystals and keys.
Tumblr media
On the head, mini deer antlers, or toadstool mushrooms, on headbands.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gothic girls can wear dark mori or black forest mori. The same, but black or dark grey. You can add a large felt black hat, and odd looking jewellery like old medallions and skull crow shaped pendant.
Tumblr media
Romantic or shabby chic mori include white and flowers pattern.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yama girl (Yama is "mountain") is a variant that add elements like hitchhiking shoes and bag, edelweiss pattern or tartan and bolder colors.
Tumblr media
Hama ("beach") girl is the marine variant, with blue dresses, stripped patterns, pea coats, and straw hats.
Tumblr media
-The maiden style
Tumblr media
How can I describe it? It consist into the basic "milkmaid" outfit in plays and operas.
Tumblr media
A shirt (with long or short sleeves), a corset and an ankle long skirt, with flat shoes. I'll add a shawl or a cape if it's cold, and even maybe an apron and a  pioneer bonnet.
It also ressemble dirndl, the traditional Austrian female suit, but it usually have a shorter skirt.
Tumblr media
   -In general:
Tumblr media
Stick to flowered, white, pastel or gingham flowy cotton or linen dresses in summer.
Tumblr media
Or vintage shirts with skirts, with a similar pattern. If you want to wear pants, try capri ones.
Tumblr media
In winter, try Corduroy (as shining velvet is rather a fabric for winter princesses), felt, fake fur or wool.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wear cardigans, shawls, and cape on it. Pinafore dresses will be an interesting shape. Also, consider embroided models. Or even hippie dresses.
Tumblr media
In a nutshell, the Sarah Kay girl style.
Tumblr media
All of this may not be easy to find but try second hand market.
As for accessories, have straw hats and scarfs on your head in summer,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and ear muffs and bonnets in winter.
Tumblr media
Have Mary janes, flats or even clogs on your feet when it's hot, in pale tones (even flowered patterned models).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When it's cold, have laced boots (or ankle boots) and brogue shoes, preferably beige and brown in tones.
Tumblr media
Thighs and socks can be flowered or made of lace in summer, and in wool in winter.
Tumblr media
As a handbag, use a basketry model, or even an actual basket. It can be ornamented with lace or flowers.

Dusty Rose Blouse - Part II
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The blouse was already finished and hemmed but I felt like the bottom half was too unbalanced. It didn't leave me alone and I figured something was missing. I didn't really want to add lace to the blouse (though usually lace is the answer to everything) because I enjoyed the simple elegance of the blouse so far, with only one colour.
I gathered all my fabric scraps together and managed to cut out and piece together a long enough strip for a ruffle. And now I'm so charmed & happy with the blouse!
I showed it today to a close friend of mine and she said: it's the perfect cut for big boobs. Made me laugh that that was her first reaction!

Back in March, I met with Mia and Iona to have a picnic with the plum blossoms. As I am still avoiding trains and other crowded/closed spaces, I had to walk 3+ hours to get to the park and back, so that's why I am wearing a style that would fit sneakers. We stopped by Fru-Full Umegaoka to get fruit treats and pancakes for our picnic. Sadly, it was really windy that day, so we spent most of the picnic trying to protect the food from the dust. You can see how Iona had to help me detangle my hair from the branches because of the wind. Outfit rundown: Skirt: thrifted Pink House (ribbon in my hair is originally the waist sash) Denim jacket: thrifted Music crop knit: thrifted and modified Jane Marple Belt: offbrand Pink top under: Heattech by Uniqlo Retro phone pin: Mayokichiya Wood harp brooch: Zackzack Seiffen Earrings: modified vintage Other brooches by various artists who don't have SM

plants! especially herbs! bonus points if they’re in cute lil pots
throws, pillows, and blankets for optimum coziness and homey feel
diy decor like pompom tassels, banners, knit/crochet/felted/macrame things to fill up boring walls (check your rules on hanging things first)
knick knack dish
soft lighting like a salt lamp or fairy lights
vintage pieces to display (old pyrex bowls, figurines, pictures, memorabilia)
wicker baskets/bins. idk they’re so quaint
cute stationary
a quilt. because quilts. also, bedskirts will generally hide any underbed storage from view
books, especially to educate yourself on hobbies and interests
mason jars are adorable, cheap, and make great storage
^enamel jars are easily thrifted and can hold bulk items
scented candles/wax burner (if allowed!)
cute patterned tea towels, oven mitts, and pot holders. i have a pair of oven mitts with chickens on them, 11/10 would reccomend kitschy kitchenware

List of mori kei clothing stores
For anyone that loves mori kei (forest girl) fashion as much as me but has a hard time looking for good stores:
https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-mori-girl.html
https://forestgirlclothing.com/collections/mori-kei
https://deerdoll.com/collections/mori-girl
https://www.ebay.com/b/Mori-Girl/63861/bn_7023386257
https://www.morimiss.com/wholesale-c19-b0-blouses.html
Sadly, the look is dying out but it's so beautiful, it shouldn't go extinct, either. Also, I didn't list Amazon because they are very limited in such clothing. AliExpress is your best bet and it's my favorite place to go to for shopping. Just expect long delivery times but it's worth it with low to absolute zero delivery fees!
