She's really outgoing and approached you first

She was straight to the point with what she wanted [Or at least she tried]; To be your friend

The first time she saw you was at the arcade. She wanted to approach you then, to maybe start up a conversation, but you were surrounded by a group of people. You were about to beat the top score of a game that hadn't been passed before. People were cheering you on and that's how she found out your name was Y/n

After the people finally leave and you go to a table, drinking a coke, she approaches you. Her hands are close together and she has this weird feeling in her stomach. What if you don't like her? Oh god, she's starting to think this is a bad idea, but before she could back out, you look over to her having felt her presence

"Um... Hi?"

She awkwardly waves and slowly walks over to you. She gestures towards the game you were just at, "I saw your game"

You awkwardly chuckle, gesturing for her to sit next to you. "Yeah, I've been trying to beat that stupid game for months. Hi, I'm Y/n. Are you new to town? I've never seen you before."

She then tells you how she is new and gives you her name and you quickly become friends

You hit it off really well, because you both share many of the same interest

She was ecstatic when seeing you in her class

She's very protective of you

If anyone ever talks bad about you, she's quick to defend you

Definitely starts fights that you have to drag her away from

She prefers your house over hers, because of her brother [And mom]

She hates when Billy talks to you, because everything he says is rude and offensive. Billy does NOT like you. Mainly because he hates Max being happy

When the mall opens up, you both go together a lot [with Eleven third wheeling]

Cute little ice-cream dates and Movie dates

She loves looking at you and listening to you talk

You don't hate Mike, but you will listen to her complain about him

And BOY does she complain

You'd think he was the devil himself with the way she talks about him

Speaking of her talking about people, whenever she talks about you to other people, she doesn't shut up. She goes on and on and smiles while she talks about you

You're an important part of her life and the guidance counselor, Kelly, knows about you. You're the only thing keeping Max sane

You're the only person Max trusts after her brother's death. She can't lose you and that becomes her biggest fear

Yandere Stranger things if their darling was targeted by Vecna:

(Only the characters in Hawkins) Characters: Lucas Sinclair, Max Mayfield, Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, Robin Buckley, Eddie Munson, Jason Carver, Chrissy Cunningham, Gareth Emerson

Warnings: obsessive behaviours, possessive behaviours, mention of cult but you’ll miss it if you blink

Lucas Sinclair:

Lucas would act similar to how he did with Max except more overprotective and clingy.

He’d constantly be around his darling, making sure that they’re listening to their favourite song.

Might even sing his darling’s favourite song if their ears are hurting from the headphones of their walkman or if their walkman breaks.

Max Mayfield:

Max is dealing with Vecna as well so she’d make her darling do the same thing as her and keep them close by, in fear of losing them.

She lost her brother, no longer has connections with her father and barely talks to Eleven anymore, so she’d probably be terrified of losing her darling to Vecna.

Nancy Wheeler:

Nancy would be extremely overprotective and worried about her darling.

She’d feel like her heart was going to explode if she ever saw her darling without their headphones on.

She’d also have to be touching her darling.

Whether it’s hand holding, an arm around the waist or an arm around the shoulders

Steve Harrington:

He’d have a panic attack every time his darling is out of his line of view.

He’d be like Nancy and have to be touching them (Not in that way you perverts)

Super overprotective and wouldn’t want his darling to leave the safety of his house.

Robin Buckley:

She’d be in overdrive mode.

She usually rambles but it’d be constant rambling over her darling’s well being until they have to ease her out of it.

She’d be pretty protective but not suffocating.

Eddie Munson:

He would freak out because Chrissy died in front of him because of Vecna, which is why he’s being hunted by the police.

Would constantly be checking on his darling, making sure they’re listening to their favourite song, eating, drinking water, etc., etc.

If he ever saw his darling start to float, he’d probably have a panic attack.

Jason Carver:

Bitch would be so confused.

He has no clue who Vecna is but would think it’s Eddie’s cult and fault.

Would try to protect his darling and help them ease their symptoms.

Chrissy Cunningham:

You’d end up trying to help each other because you’re both targets with a lot of symptoms but obviously, with lack of knowledge on how to survive, you’d both be dead.

Gareth Emerson:

Has no clue about Vecna’s existence but would try his best to ease up the symptoms.

Max would be an obsessive and possessive yandere

You are robin’s second cousin

You would be a new girl transferring into her school

Unexpectedly she was your tour guide and unfortunately for you, she was having a rough day

By the looks of it, she didn’t want to be friends with you

So you joined the cheerleading team and became close friends with Chrissy Cunningham

At first, Max would just glance at you in class/pep rallies but then it became lingering stares

She would be the type to admire from a distance and not comment

So you invited her to a sleepover and surprisingly she was extremely talkative

Frequently she would try to touch your hands or absentmindedly brush her fingers across your exposed thighs

Fortunately for her, you didn’t pay attention to it so she used that to her advantage

Would attempt to braid your raven hair into cute hairstyle ideas

Like she would literally have the gel in one hand, hair scrunchies on her wrist, and hair accessories sprawled out all over her vanity

Even lets you braid her ginger hair

So she would try to become friends with you

Being naive, you accepted her friendship unaware of the danger that awaits

Now things really started to heat up when you invited her to a pool party

It was the beginning of summer and you wanted to start off with a bang

I just feel like max would have a perverted mind and would peer down your bikini top while being so subtle whilst talking to you

Would often glare at people who also look at you

Cause why were they looking at you if you belonged to her??!!

But there was this one boy who really crossed the line with you

❝Who the hell was that, [name]?❞

❝Relax, max, he’s my boyfriend.❞

❝Boyfriend?? You’ve never told me that you had fucking boyfriend!!❞

❝Well, I’m telling you now.❞

She went completely off the radar after that and it became worrisome for you

While you were stressing about her, she was planning your boyfriend’s demise

But first, she had to ease more into your life to gain more perspective

She had drugged your drink with a truth serum

The next thing that you knew is that you were spewing all of your secrets to the redhead

One of them being that you like girls

Of course, max didn’t see this as a problem as you were perfect too and for her but the other thing that you said really triggered her

❝I’m pretty sure that my boyfriend’s cheating on me.❞

❝Do you want me to kill him?❞

❝What are you talking about?❞

❝Your asshole of a boyfriend, do you want him dead?❞

❝No! Max, I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.❞

Soon after, she drugged you with sleeping pills and actually came forth with her plan

You found yourself in a glass box and immediately panicked

Warningly walking inside, she would reassure you with sweet words

❝Are you gonna hurt me?❞ You blurted out

You just had to know

She would plant a chaste kiss on your lips, ❝I would never hurt you.❞

That erupts a tiny cry from your lips

She would try to soothe you and kiss away the incoming tears that fallen down your face

❝Why are you doing this to me?❞

❝Can’t you see it?? I love you, [name].❞

❝People in love don’t kidnap others!❞

❝Well, I do! Cause whether you like it or not, you will learn to love me!❞

❝I could never and would never love you, Maxine! You need serious help!❞

Then her ginger eyebrows would crease in frustration and partial anger so you thought that she would lash out in rage but she didn’t

❝Well, it looks like someone’s not eating tonight.❞

She just got up, leaving you in complete darkness, and left

You cried yourself to sleep, not believing this new person that Max was becoming

Next time that you saw her, you would plan to escape

So you played along; talk when spoken to, eat when given food — the normal basics

Then you would lure her into the cage, pretend that you love her, and then escape

When she came the next day, bringing you breakfast, she stayed outside the cage and tried to make small talk still being cautious

You gave her short meaningless answers but, hey, at least it was progress

Ok maybe you felt a little guilt upon hearing the defeated sighs arising from her lips

So you decided to delay your plan and scooted over as close as the glass barrier could allow you to get

❝What's your favorite song?❞

❝Ummm… ‘Running Up That Hill’ by Kate Bush.❞

❝Really mines—❞

❝Material Girl by Madonna. I know since you would play it non-stop at our sleepovers.❞

It was enough to emit a tiny laugh from your throat causing a genuine smile from the redhead

❝[Name], you have to know that I didn't mean to scare you...or even hurt you. I guess…that I became too attached because you really make me feel safe and loved. And…god this is embarrassing… but I don't want to share you either. You know…just one day we might forget about this, leave Hawkins together, maybe settle down in Los Angeles and get married, and have most likely two kids.❞

❝Wow, it sounds like you have my whole life panned out.❞

❝It sounds a little extreme, I’m very aware. I know that don’t want more than three kids, you told me yourself. You also said you wanted to see Los Angeles at night and you would just adore braiding your kid's hair and dressing them up. You would be the best mom to them, hopefully even a better wife.❞

❝Friends for now, then we’ll see where life will take us.❞

Apparently, that little banter pursued her enough to bring her inside the cage with you

Luckily she wasn’t a critical thinker and left the door mildly open

Hesitantly, you hugged her tightly, wincing slightly when she reciprocated the hug

Gripping tightly on the pocketknife and you jammed it into her stomach, wincing when she let out a pained grunt as you snatched the keys out of her hand

The betrayal on her face was priceless as you locked the door behind you

But you shouldn’t feel bad cause she’s the one holding you hostage, not the other way around

❝Let me out, [name]! This is not a game!❞

❝No! You're gonna rot in there!❞

❝Wait, so that stuff that we talked about…was it all just a decoy? Did you really want to get to know me?❞ She placed her hand against the glass door, her baby blue eyes doe

❝Yes!!— Well, no!! Ok, I kinda have mixed feelings. You're delusional if you think that we can just move on from this and move away from Hawkins, get married and have children. Your dreams are basically one in a million, mayfield.❞

She was silent after your outburst and began searching in her back pocket for something

❝W-what are you looking for?❞

She held up an identical key to the one in your hand. ❝You really think that I wouldn’t have a spare key.❞

You broke off in a dash, heading straight towards the stairs and she was hot on your heels

Currently, you were two steps away from freedom

You. Were. So. Close.

But you know that happy moments are always short-lived

She grabbed your shoulders tightly and injected a needle in your right thigh making you yelp in pain. ❝I didn’t want to do this, darling, but you gave me no choice since you insist on being so god damn stubborn. Now relax, baby, I’ll be right here when you wake up.❞

Just then your vision started to go hazy as you lost your footing on the stairwell

❝What did you do to me, max?!❞

She whispered in your ear. ❝What was necessary. I know you better than anyone.❞

Just like that, you fell limp, eyes shutting down momentarily and you fell directly into her arms feeling a soft kiss on your temple before everything went black

She loved you too much to ever let you go and god be damned if someone ever took you away from her

max shows you off every chance she gets, she’s so proud to have you as her friend/partner

when you’re with others, max constantly showers you with compliments, making sure everyone knows just how great you are

but she also makes it pretty clear that you two are the duo and no one will come between you

“Y/n is my ride or die and I am theirs. It’s just that simple. We would never leave each other, ever.”

if someone doesn’t vibe with you or even dislikes you, she won’t hesitate to cut that person out of her life

whether platonically or romantically, max has always been VERY overprotective of you

whenever someone talks over you, max starts snapping or clapping in front of that person’s face

“Hey! Attention up here, y/n is talking you, asshole.”

she even stood up to billie after he made fun of you once, he actually didn’t dare to do that a second time

she definitely hypes you up every chance she gets, even if it’s just you getting out of bed after a long night

when you’re not doing too good, max goes completely out of her way to make you feel better

she has all your habits, including gesture and mimic memorized. the second your mood drops, she will know

After your social battery ran out at a birthday party, Max didn’t hesitate on taking you home.

she wasn’t tired, she just didn’t want to make you feel guilty for wanting to leave

cuddling with you is one of her favorite things. she just feels so safe and calm when she’s close to you.

all in all, max is a giver. she loves to gift you things, she loves reading to you and just loves taking care of you

mike has never been great with words, but when he’s with you he doesn’t feel like he needs to explain himself

he loves spending time with you more than anything, it’s his way of showing affection

that’s why he literally takes you everywhere with him

he takes every chance he gets to make you laugh. even if it makes him look like a fool

mike definitely puts your happiness first. as long as you’re okay, he’s fine

Jane 'Eleven' Hopper & Maxine 'Max' Mayfield Headcanons

What a combo

At first, Eleven competed with Max for your attention

Eleven saw Max as competition because you became close with Max while Eleven was gone

When Eleven hurt Max, you confronted her

"What is wrong with you?" You yell at her as she's near tears

"Why do you like her more than me?"

"What are you talking about?" You shake your head, "I don't like Max more than you! You're both my friend."

She frowns, "I was your friend first-"

You sigh, sitting down in front of Eleven, "I know you don't get social cues, but you can have more than one friend. Besides," You gesture your hands out, "Max is great. You'll love her if you get to know her"

Max had tried being friends with Eleven, but Eleven denied her. So, imagine Max's surprise when Eleven finally started being nice to her

They both start hanging out without you and they realize they have one huge thing in common; They both like you

They realize they have a better chance working together than against each other

They're like the opposites of each other, so whatever one has the other has the other side [They are the same coin but different sides if that makes more sense]

Eleven doesn't always understand your problems, so you find it easier to talk to Max

Though, if you ever have a problem with someone, Eleven is more than willing to help you 'fix' it

Max is the more outgoing out of your trio and she plans you all going out and such

People suspect you all are closer than you appear, but you're a bunch of girls, so they just see you as girl best friends

Lots of sleep overs [Usually at either your house or Eleven's]

They're both really protective over you

Will Byers:

This man is so attentive and caring when it comes to his darling.

If they have sensory issues, specifically with a certain fabric?

He'd replace all his clothes that are made of that fabric to one that his darling likes.

If his darling is having a meltdown he'd immediately try to help sooth them, it doesn't matter if it's in public or private.

Eleven (Jane) Hopper:

She's in the same boat as her darling, they'd both be trying to help each in every situation, especially meltdowns.

Lucas Sinclair:

Lucas would very nice and helpful but because of the basketball team and his popularity on the line, he may not always help his darling when they're having a public meltdown.

Would always help in private tho.
