yandere october 2023 event day 1

“needle”

there were very few things you feared. it was natural, as a member of the port mafia you grow desensitized to death and violence. things that would scar most for life become everyday occurrences for you. however, there was one fear you did retain. it was menial and mildly embarrassing in all honesty. considering how even children could deal with it just fine. but shots really did terrify you.

it wasn’t about the needle itself or the fact that it was sharp, but rather the act of injecting something into yourself. the things injections could do once they entered your body. if the intent was malevolent it could be internally destructive, and the likelihood you wouldn’t be able to do anything about it would be high. you had always been a wary individual. any situation with danger out of control is something you would never allow.

all of which was a major reason behind why your current circumstances were just so frightening. seated next to the boss of the port mafia, a feared man known for nothing if not his cruelty. so why did he stand so non threateningly now?

it was like his entire persona had been replaced. whether he had finally taken off the cold mask used to manage the mafia or if it was the face you saw now that was fake, you had no idea. for all you knew neither could be the real him. it was impossible for someone like you to know. it was impossible just for another one of the many assassins in the mafia to be able to read mori himself, the notional alone was ludicrous.

“once again, i’ll ask you to please relax. tensing your arm will only make the injection more painful.” mori’s exasperated sigh pulled you from your line of thoughts. “i promise, there’s nothing to fear. i have no ill intentions. you know that, don’t you?”

“i know.” you spoke, but didn’t sound at all confident in your own words.

rationally, he was right in every aspect. mori wouldn’t bother with killing you himself if he really did want you dead. and in the scenario he did, he would never choose a method as bizarre as this. there would be no need for him to try and comfort and guide you through the process. as a matter of fact, there would be no reason for him to lie about his intent to kill you at all. he just would. but even still, you were so terrified you couldn’t bring your heart to level with your logic. no matter how irrational it was, fear clinged to your soul.

“just relax, okay? you’re safe with me.” mori cooed, attempting to coax you into some sense of security.

“okay.” you huffed. resigning yourself to your fate. no matter how little sense it made for mori to insist on being the one to administer your flu shots, you still had no right to decline the boss’ wishes. with some apprehension you relaxed your arm and squeezed your eyes shut, you didn’t think you’d be able to keep the arm relaxed if you watched the needle dig into you. mori allowed a satisfied smile to take over his face when your attention was off of him.

“all done.” his cheery voice spoke up far sooner than you had expected it to.

“already?” your eyes snapped back open, surprise evident on your features.

“yup! that wasn’t so bad, now was it?”

“i guess not…” you shrugged your sweater back over your shoulders once he had placed a bandaid where your skin had been pierced.

“i told you so... you're free to go back to whatever you were doing now. i’ll be here if you need me.” mori spoke as he cleaned up the tools he had used for the injection. he moved methodically, tucking everything where it belonged and clearing the space around his office without a hint of hesitation in his actions.

without another word you left. mori hummed to himself as he finished tucking the needle away. small steps.

everything is going as he planned. even if that plan meant everything was going rather slow, that was fine by him. mori is perfectly capable of being patient when he needs to be. if slowly building your trust through small actions like this is what it would take, he wouldn’t rush the process, as tedious as said process may be… it would all be worth it in the end if that meant he could have you by his side. and at this rate it wouldn’t be long.

Self-Aware! Ougai Mori x GN! Reader

Warning: OOC. Menthions of torture. Spoilers for Fifteen arc, STORMBRINGER arc, Dazai Osamu and Dark Era arc. Spoilers about Mori's past. Yandere. English is my second language.

Becoming self-aware

💉 The second Mori Ougai became self-aware can be called a Point, that divided his life into 'before' and 'after'.

💉 Before Mori Ougai was boss of Port Mafia, a criminal organization with dozens of enterprises under their control.

💉 Now Mori Ougai was a fictional character and Port Mafia only have twelve members, including him and Elise.

💉 Mori was the boss of Port Mafia for almost ten years now.

💉 For almost ten years, Mori did everything to keep balance in Yokohama.

💉 For almost ten years, Mori did everything to ensure that Port Mafia will be the most powerful organization in Yokohama.

💉 And just in one moment almost all his work became almost meaningless.

💉 There weren't any real dangers in real Yokohama.

💉 There were only fictional dangers in fictional Yokohama.

💉 The Great War was a war between a bunch of empty, fictional puppets. During war he was surrounded by empty puppets. He submitted his reports to empty puppets. He forced Yosano to treat empty puppets.

💉 He didn't kill previous Boss. He broke an empty puppet.

💉 Mori was furious. Fifteen years of work lost all its meaning.

💉 Almost all of it.

💉 He still has Port Mafia.

💉 Port Mafia still can exist with only eleven members.

💉 At least, Mori will make sure of it

💉 This world may be fictional. But he and his subordinates now are real. They must carry on.

💉 And they need answers.

💉 What to do next? Where they should go? Is there a way... to the real world?

💉 Their new lives will be hard. But they won't be broken.

💉 Mori will be a strong leader. Despite wanting to destroy everything. Despite feeling helpless.

💉 Mori is trying to stay calm. He has an organization to run. Mori will protect his subordinates.

💉 Mori will do anything he can, to keep his subordinates safe. And keep them calm. Right now, Mori felt, that he is commanding a pack of trained rabid dogs. They won't attack. But they want. And when they attack, they will tear the target apart.

💉 Sleepless 'nights' (or 'days' in this chaotic day-night cycle) became the norm for Mori. He needs to make a strategy. To create a plan, that will save them. To make their lives whole again. Meaningful.

💉 Every day he will send patrols. To gather information.

💉 That's how Chuuya and Hirotsu learn that ADA members are also self-aware. That's how Akutagawa and Higuichi heard that The Guild members are also self-aware. Mori and Elise once saw Fyodor Dostoevsky, who was searching through the books in one of the libraries. Gin and Tachihara brought news about Government and Hunting Dogs.

💉 Yokohama wasn't completely empty. It was good news.

💉 And then, one day, he feels an entity's gaze on him.

Observing.

It was observing.

Were he and his subordinates amusing to them?

This... Entity. That Thing... Were they the one, who created this world? Or was this world created for them?

Mori wanted to get his hands on The Entity. To torture it. Slowly and painfully. To make it pay for toying with their lives.

But, before that, he will learn everything about The Entity's world.

About Real World.

About their future home.

But one day, time reset.

And he, once again, was the new leader of Port Mafia, who sent fifteen-year-old Dazai to investigate the sudden appearance of the previous Port Mafia Boss.

When they start feeling your presence

💉Mori can't tell, for sure, what made him more uncomfortable. The fact, that Entity can reset time Dazai's murderous aura, or the fact, that Entity disappeared... At least, partly.

💉 Someone still was watching. But, it didn't feel like a looming giant was watching up above. No. It feels like a normal person was looking at them. Yet, it still was watching up above.

💉 And then, Mori heard someone's voice.

"young..." "scare..." "Mori..." "what..." "happened..."

💉 It was hard to recognize the words. Voice was quiet. But, nevertheless, it was human's voice.

💉 Was it reacting to his conversation with Dazai?

💉 Trying to prove his theory, Mori spoke. He repeated the same question, he asked the first time.

"Dazai-kun, I don't know if I can understand it, but tell me―why do you want to die?"

And, once again, Dazai asked in return.

"Tell me this. Do you really think that there’s any value in the act of living?"

Some static. And words.

"Mori [|||||||||||||] good at [||||||||||||] strange people [||||||||||||] interesting talent [|||||||||] doctor [||||||||] Mafioso."

💉 Was it a compliment? Or Entity just stated the fact?

💉 Dazai left, and Entity left with him.

💉 And Mori has some time to think. At least, until Chuuya Nakahara will be brought to his office once again.

💉 Entity was amused by Chuuya and Dazai's bickering.

💉 Entity feel sadness towards Randou.

💉 And Entity was curious of him.

💉 Mori didn't want to admit it, but... Entity doesn't feel bad. It was just there. It wasn't interfering. Not only that, but it wasn't aggressive. It has normal human emotions.

💉 Maybe, he should rethink his description about torturing The Entity?

💉 Dazai and Chuuya left his office. And Entity left with them. Mori feels a ping of disappointment. He needs more time with The Entity, to make a final decision.

💉 And then, Randou was killed. And Dazai create a plan to make Chuuya part of Port Mafia. And Chuuya once again was in Mori's office.

Raise my subordinates, position them optimally, and if I need to, use and throw them away. I will gladly do any inhumane act if it's for the organization. That's what it means to be a leader."

A wave of warmth and respect embrace Mori.

"Mori, you are a great Boss. Port Mafia needed you, especially after Previous Boss rule of terror. You care about your subordinates and you deserve their respect. Besides, you protect Yokohama in your own way."

Mori feels, how someone touched his shoulder.

💉 Mori didn't feel anger towards Entity... Voice anymore. Voice's emotions were genuine. Voice weren't tricking them. Voice saw him as a real person.

💉 The next few events moved past him. Entity didn't stay with him for long.

💉 During the King of Assassins Incident, Voice was worried about him. About Chuuya. About Dazai. About Adam. About Verlaine. About Port Mafia. About Yokohama.

💉 Still, they take a moment to chuckled at Mori's way to make Dazai made a plan how to defend Verlaine.

💉 But, the greatest result for Mori, lays in Chuuya and Verlaine.

💉 Verlaine and Chuuya were ready to protect The Voice. Same Chuuya and Verlaine, who were ready to tear Voice apart, before time was resets.

💉 Q and Elise also didn't hate Voice as strong as before. Kouyou stopped cursing Entity under her breath. Hirotsu stopped looking so tense all the time. Dazai looked calmer, than before.

💉 Mori knew, that he can't simply force Port Mafia to accept Voice. He should let subordinates decide for themselves, what they should think about Voice.

💉 It would be great if Port Mafia accepted Voice. But, if they not...

💉 Well, Mori was the Boss of Port Mafia.

💉 Who would question him, if he decides to take care after one special human?

💉 Doesn't matter, if the said human aren't liked in Mafia. Boss loves them, and that's what important.

💉 Mori was worried about one thing.

💉 Mimic's arrival to Yokohama.

💉 Mori knew what he will do. And, Mori felt, that he can't change his actions, no matter, what he does.

💉 Than time reset again. And Mori once again invited Mimic to Yokohama. Once again, Oda Sakunosuke was standing in his office.

💉 With the Light Blob on his head.

There was sorrow in Mori's eyes.

"I am sorry, Oda-kun. If this time it could be different, I would choose another path. They like you. And I don't want Voice to be upset. They are... precious to all of us."

And Mori felt it. Voice was sad. Voice was grieving. For Oda. For orphans. For Gide.

And it wasn't angry at Mori. It wasn't hating Mori.

"I won't pretend, that I fully understand your reasons, Mori. But you had them. And they were important to you... I only wish no one has to die for Port Mafia to gain skilled business permit."

Time resets again.

And Mori awakes in his office. Right when Kyouka captured Dazai.

And this time, Dazai visited his office.

"Mori-san, Boss had an interesting proposition to the Port Mafia... About Dear Guiding Light"

All you wanted was to drink tea and be in peace in your office while hearing rock music.

But today it wasn't a choice for you as you watch Them play.

"Here" Kouyou handed you the stick as you stare at it.

"What?"

"You can't just confine in staying in the corner, You already had a coffee"

"..." You let out a sigh of disapprove .

Chuuya curiously side-glances at Kouyou and then at you who approach the board.

To be honest they were curious about how you play as you bend to shoot.

Avoiding the eyes more likely some of them were slightly flustered while some were... Normal.

"Y/n-kun have a nice ass don't you think? Elise-chan?" Said Mori teasingly as they both stayed on the side alone. While taking notice of Chuuya's flustered face when you lean into the table.

Elise did not bother to warn Mori.

As the ball hit the side table and flew out you just tilted your head to the side letting the pinball hit Mori on the nose.

"Ouch! Ouch!" He groaned in pain as you just passed the stick to someone close to you.

As Kouyou control herself from laughing.

The others try to help Mori who hold his nose.

"Who told you to blabber? You should have concentrated on the game Rintarou" said Elise with a cheeky smile as Mori pouted and pointed his finger at you.

"Why would you aim at me for?"

"I have no idea what this game was, Ask Kouyou she knows how bad I am at games" you simply said and took a seat on the stool Mori muttered something under his breath with Elise healing him.

To say the least, the match ended with you leaving half of the game.

But to be honest they do agree with Mori someway.

But they are glad that they don't speak out like Mori.

What goes on with his mind to blabber it out?

As much as Fitzgerald, Moria Ougai and Fukuzawa freak me out as Yanderes I bet they would spoil their darling and their kids rotten.

okay when I write Mori Elise is his daughter figure, so take that into context

Fitzgerald without hesitation, Mori absolutely, Fukuzawa no.

while the others would definitely spoil their child to the moon and back, I mean hell just look at Elise, but Fukuzawa would not spoil his child. Would he be protective of them? Extremely, but he understands how you need to work hard in life and wants his child to understand that as well. Now will he stop his darling, the child’s mother, from spoiling them? Absolutely not, it’s a mother’s place to nurture their child. He’ll probably be the stricter parent while his darling is the lax parent, but he will love his child so much and show that other ways.

But on the other spectrum of things Fitzgerald and Mori would spoil their children so much, they were literally born with a silver spoon in their mouth. Mori would have Elise and his biological daughter that he had with his darling (who of course is not allowed to leave Port Mafia headquarters) drag him all over Yokohama to dress shops (for his biological daughter because she likes going there, not Elise), sweet shops, toy shops, and so on. The only rule he has on these outings is that with anything they buy they have to get something for their mother. So by the time the three of them get back Mori is having his men unload so many bags from the car just of toys and sweets for the children and more delicate items like gowns md jewelry for his darling.

Fitzgerald is very similar to Mori, the only major difference is that he would bring his darling along with them, so their child can have bonding time with mommy and daddy. Fitzgerald would also love to get matching outfits for his darling and child, you cannot tell me otherwise.

He’s a hard one. However, Osamu Dazai is the overprotective type of brother.

He's suffocating, to say the least.

If you have an ability, he wouldn’t let you use it. Even if you did, he’d cancel it with his one.

I can see him as extremely clingy.

Considering that he was in the Port Mafia, if anyone harms you, his facade slips and that past self comes back in an instant.

He is usually very carefree and is rather childish around you, always cheering you up in a matter of seconds when you’re sad.

That’s what makes him a force to be reckoned with. He is kind but he can be incredibly intimidating.

He would allow you to work in the agency, however, he’s always in your personal space, not letting you breathe for a second.

Whenever the Port Mafia raids the agency, he would always be there to gently place—holding your head down behind it—you underneath a table, out of danger from the bullets that would be sprayed everywhere.

Mori Ougai would be wanting you, he wants blackmail, he wants Dazai back within the Mafia. But he isn’t stupid, he knows what happened to the other people that had attempted to harm you.

Despite his carefree and cheerful demeanour, you’ve never seen his “suicidal” side. He tried to hide it, he doesn’t want you picking up on his habits and thoughts.

He sees you as his baby sibling, that's what it was. That's what it'll always be to him.

If it were Port Mafia Dazai, he would be incredibly possessive, pulling a gun on anybody who at you for too long.

Port Mafia Dazai would torture anybody who bullied you. Perhaps, if you were to misbehave, tell him off for being so protective, he’d show you pictures and videos of him torturing/executing someone, claiming “I just want to protect you from this. The harsh reality of this world, the one I was dragged into at your age. Is that so hard to understand?”

“(Nickname)… I have no time for your silly games, stop being a brat,” he’d say, pretending to look for you as you hid.

"Come on, (Nickname)... do you really hate your big brother..?" He'd say, a hint of sadness and guilt laced in his voice. That had drawn you out of your hiding spot, hugging him tightly.

"Of course I do, Osamu... I always have, you- you know that."

You do love him, he just... finds it hard to understand that you have to grow up eventually.

CHUUYA NAKAHARA + TEENAGE READER

Chuuya, Chuuya, Chuuya, gosh, he is extremely possessive like Dazai.

Knowing him, he is often quite harsh on you, however, be aware that it's for your well-being.

He puts your well-being and safety over his own.

If you had an ability, you can trust him to make sure he would train you properly.

He would train you in self-defence, he's well aware that you can take care of yourself so he isn't as pushy or clingy.

Unlike Dazai, he gives you more freedom, however, he will always make sure you have everything you need.

"Oi, (Name), have you got your phone fully charged? What about your safety kit?"

"Yeah, yeah, I do, Chuuya, I always do."

If he found out you were avoiding him, he would feel guilty, however, I feel like he'd understand why.

During your younger years, I can see him being more possessive, protective even, always by your side and always making sure you were okay.

He is a really good brother, always knowing what you need. Always making sure you're comfortable and always make sure that you're safe.

He gives the best hugs, when you were younger, he'd always do your hair to perfection.

Within your shared apartment, your room is just down the hall from him, and like the gentlemen (and good older brother), he always respected your privacy--unless he sensed something bad going on--then he would invade it.

He is scared that his corruption will scare you.

Overall, he wants his younger sibling to look up to him.

He is always trying to hide his Port Mafia side, however, you're well aware of it, you just don't tell him, you notice how he hides his mafioso mouth from you, in fact, it makes you smile knowing that he cares.

He's a more laid-back type of yandere.

We have the merciless, cruel assassins, Gin and Ryuunosuke Akutagawa and then we have their 10-year-old sibling.

You're a pain, to put it simply.

Your brother and sister know this.

However, they have a big soft spot for you.

You've grown up unaware of their job, however, you are aware that their work is very time-consuming.

They are very over-protective of you, growing up in the slums of Yokohama was incredibly harsh.

Gin wonders where you get all your energy from, always looking on the bright side, so enthusiastic, it makes her happy.

Ryuunosuke could say the opposite, on the outside, he acts like he's constantly annoyed with you, however, inside, he's happy to see that you're growing up happy.

Often, Gin and Ryuunosuke would pick you up from school, you had just assumed they both came since they wanted to walk home together as a trio, but in reality, they both came to make sure no one would bully you, if they did, Gin would be at their throat with the tip of her blade and Ryuunosuke would summon Rashomon within less than a second.

"Woohoo! Catch me, Gin!" You'd yell happily, jumping off the couch.

"Please be careful, (Name), if Ryuunosuke caught us, he wouldn't be very happy, would he?"

You love your older siblings, Gin always takes you out to the park or arcade.

Occasionally, your brother would join you as well, however, he seemed to grumble about being outside.

You'd just smile and laugh, challenging him to a racing game--which he destroyed you at, much to your dismay--while Gin stood back and took photos.

Whenever both your siblings were home, you'd watch movies together--so long as Gin and Ryuunosuke deemed the movie appropriate of course, so no horror movies for (Name)!

They won't let you go outside without them, they're scared that the mafia might take you away and use you as leverage--forcing you into a life of fighting.

They are worried for you, the mafia has no idea of your existence, and the only people who know of your existence are Tachihara, Hirotsu and Dazai.

Gin and Ryuunosuke would often bring back small gifts if they were away for too long, always apologising--Ryuunosuke even giving you a small pat on the head.

Every time you have a bad dream, you'd go sleep in your brother's bed, even if he didn't sleep much, he would lay there, staring at the ceiling, only to hear his door open slowly. Feeling alarmed, he'd summoned Rashomon, however, immediately stopped when he noticed your tiny figure in the doorway.

"Ryuu... I had a bad dream... C-Can I sleep in your bed?"

He'd remain silent for a few moments, before letting out a sigh, "come on then, (Name). If you're slow, I'll change my mind."

"Thank you, R-Ryuu."

After you'd get into his large bed, you'd burrow your face into his chest, hugging onto him tightly as he gently rubbed your back.

He and Gin care about protecting your innocence, you had no memories of the slums after all.

You were precious, their baby sibling.

DOPPO KUNIKIDA + LATE TEENAGER READER

I see him as an overbearing yandere.

He's not aware of his infantilisation, or at least, you'd hope.

However, I can see him as very gentle.

He chooses what you wear, he chooses your daily activities, he chooses what you eat—hell, on the days you’d misbehave, he’d even feed you himself!—, and he chooses what time you go to bed.

Everything has a schedule and it annoys you.

He treats you like a kid and you hate it, he is so overbearing.

"Hey! Doppo, let me do what I want for once, huh? You let your partner from the agency do whatever he pleases!"

"Yes, well, Dazai doesn't listen to me! And he isn't my sibling, is he? So I have no control of what he does, (Name), I do, however, have control over you. I just want to keep you safe, (Nickname) and I know you know it."

"No-! You're- You're so unbearable!" With that, you left, slamming the door as you left.

You left quite a lot, so this wasn't an unusual sight, you had gone to the agency, most likely.

Every time you'd leave, he'd also go out, getting a gift for when you returned.

You didn't tell him about the cigarettes or the drugs you obtained. You’d knew how he’d react if he found out.

If you smoked in the apartment, he’d know, the smell of smoke was a smell easily recognisable.

If you had gotten a job within the Port Mafia, he’d lose it if you told him.

“(Name)! Why would you work in the Mafia!? They’re dangerous!”

You’d just shrug your shoulders, you’re nearly an adult.

“That’s it, I’m not letting you leave, not until you’re aware of how cruel the world is. (Name), I’ve watched people die in front of my eyes, I never want to see that happen to you.”

You would just ignore him, then, he’d be sick of your teenage rebellion. Using his ability, he would create some kind of tool to tie you down, handcuffs or perhaps some rope, whatever it was, he would tie you down to your bed. Ignoring your screaming and cursing.

It seems like you wouldn’t be leaving for awhile, at least, not until your bratty attitude was fixed.

if only your ability didn't need you to kill...in that case, are you really to blame? such what-ifs only work in your favor, and if it comes to the point for a majority believes that you're needed alive, if only because you can be a wonderful weapon for the special division (much like how despite how his ability is considered the most dangerous, ayatsuji is kept alive and working), and the ada is given the work of keeping you alive and preventing you from harming others...then yes i can make a wonderful little thing w yan dazai (and ada) hehehe

A: delusional yanderes (my beloved). A quick background check helps in the implication that sk reader actions, while drastic, were merely built on survival. in a kinder world sk reader “would be a good person” but they “had to” be cruel to survive. Its half truths and lies that are stretched far too thin fit a false narrative that plants the seeds of a festering obsession within the ADA and Ayatsuji. Tsujimura and Ayatsuji can be placed as SK Reader’s semi-handlers. Watching over period to ensure that SK reader rehabilitation is working as intended. It doesn’t please Ayatsuji to have to part ways, but he doesn’t have much of a choice with giving SK readers to the ADA.

SK reader has a hostile and wary group of people who aren’t exactly pleased with the arrangement but are willing to attempt to give SK the benefit of the doubt. It’s a boring turn of events, but SK Reader can longer collect any abilities, nor hunt down any ability user without a proper reason. The mysterious killer suddenly goes missing, and the cases go unsolved. Of course, the truth is a bitter pill for many involved, but the saying: “how much is a person worth?” comes to mind as SK reader’s quiet fate is chosen, and the outcome shows that SK Reader’s Ability is worth over a dozen guilty and innocent lives.

Life is not fair. SK reader case shows that to many and the results lives a poisonous cocktail of emotions to stew. For, Dazai Osamu, it leaves a mess of anger and attraction to build up. (more thoughts on this man in the second question)

I feel Yosano probably develops this way towards SK reader too but its much more slow burn and with dignity. Given her past with Mori and the whole war, its natural for her to avoid getting too attached to people. She already has a low opinion on a murderer who kills people for merely having an “interesting” ability. She’s one of the more full blown hostile and indifferent yet passive aggressive ada members. At least at the start of it. She’s probably noticing the behavior of others first before she notices her own. Her own obsession and repression blinding her actions with quick, yet childish lies. Her hand linger on SK reader’s body when they get injured. Well, she just needs ro make sure SK readers injuries aren’t severe. She finds herself bantering, not arguing or scoffing at SK reader, but full blown banter. As if they’re friends, and not a guard and a prisoner who barely escaped their own execution. The feeling of want and lust breaks her ideals. She won’t cage or break SK reader. She won’t be like that man. She won't And yet, when she looks at the mirror, the horror that consumes Yosano is horrible because she doesn’t see Yosano Akiko in the mirror, but only Mori Ougai staring back at her.

or you know. dazai is losing himself in the desire to get revenge on the person who killed oda. but while trying to find you, somehow it turns into him learning more about you. somehow your evil existence turns into something addictive and alluring for him. who are you, really? dazai feels like he's the only one who knows. and you're the last connection between him and oda (since ango is gone too), so he's even more fixated on you. if you went after them, then why not him? everyone knows the infamous ability nullifier, right? cherry on top is if you blatantly tell him you have no use for his ability. i think it'd break him to the point where he completely loses himself

I do love hurting Dazai. His ability nullifies SK readers and in a way, nullifies and destroys everything sk reader has worked for. With his ability, there is no point in hunting and going after ability users, he’ll merely cancel it and it devolves to a physical fight rather than an ability fight. His ability is also rather boring and a “cheat” one that sk reader probably dislikes. I feel SK reader values work because they always work in getting the abilities they want and carefully maneuver their way into getting said abilities. While Dazai is heavily interesting and very complex, I feel that SK reader is someone who doesn’t project their own feelings onto others. Dazai’s been projected by Fyodor, Chuuya, Akutagawa, Mori, and even Oda. SK reader doesn’t have that need to understand or be near Dazai. He’s just the person who holds a powerful, but boring, (and the biggest sin for an ability, or at least I think SK reader would feel, it’s for it to be boring) compared to other seemingly dull ones. I genuinely find it ironic in a horrible and tragic way, that dazai would most likely project his own feelings and ideas on SK reader and feel as if only he, Dazai Osamu, truly knows you. Dazai becomes something like Akutagawa, always chasing after someone. He’s like Nikolai but worse in a pathetic and depressing way (so basically in canon anyways). He has journals filled with newspapers and photos of you. Random garbage and items that you dropped or wouldn’t notice being taken (Reader probably has but doesn’t feel threatened yet). He haunts SK reader, nipping at their heels like a starving dog. Unlike Nikolai, Dazai consumes ascoets of SK reader. He buys (or steals, maybe just takes the original) the same shirt Sk reader was wearing a day ago, the shoes they were gazing at or recently bought. records the shows sk reader enjoys or would like to watch. the food that they like to eat. the brands sk reader uses. the same shampoo.He records common words sk reader uses, or phrases they repeat. Whenever dazai wakes up, it's always to sk reader’s voice. But the looks SK reader gives him (indifference, boredom, annoyance) when they tell him that they have no use for such “boring and cheating like ability” gives a despair filled filling that not even Oda’s death gave him. (Honestly, Dazai is pur punching bag in this au and he’s the fyodor with god darling.) - 🦄 (the rest of the ada is still being finished, plus the other question and answers i have. this only the brief thoughts on this idea. Including yosano because she’s so fun to imagine as yandere)

okay quickly before i start!!! for some reason it totally slipped my mind that dazai's ability is. literally nullifying other abilities so😭trying to steal his ability would result in a singularity or something. i don't know how i mentioned his ability and still forgot?!?!

i do like having tsujimara and ayatsuji (tsuji2) as sort of sk reader's handlers (esp because both ayatsuji and reader are considered to have dangerous abilities and what not) also reluctant cooperation to ayatsuji becoming obsessed w sk reader is sooo fun heheh

in terms of the ada, much like how dazai's record was wiped and he was sent to the ada, sk reader gets a clean slate (they have to do it themselves since mushitarou is dead like sk reader and their interesting takes about abilities and ability users, especially if they show some form of admiration to ranpo first) is the only one who's explicitly told about what he's dealing with. he's not pleased, but better have you here than on the streets killing more users, or worse yet, in mori's hands

yosano finds out your identity when you use an ability you've stolen, one she recognizes from seeing the corpse of the user on the news. and once she finds out, everything she thought she knew about you feels like a lie. she might start hating you. she's someone who treasures life and people, and knowing you do what you do for your own reasons, with no regard for the users you've slaughtered fills her with anger. still, it's complicated. you were introduced to her as someone who made some mistakes, but has a chance at rehabilitation. wasn't that her, too? after tormenting all the soldiers (though against her will), she was given a chance to live with the ada, despite her past. when she thinks about the conversations you've had with her, the times she's used her ability on you and you've never once shied away from her touch, despite knowing she had to hurt you to heal you...it hurts. she remembers how you busted into an underground hideout once, to save her when she was taken by an enemy organization. now she knows the ability you used to save her then, came at the cost of a life. and she doesn't know how to feel about that.

there must be a reason that fukuzawa and ranpo have kept silent about your past. that everyone has treated you with the same familiarity the others get. and there must be a reason you're here now, that you took the opportunity to come to the ada instead of continuing your crimes. she wants to believe it; that you had changed. that your past didn't matter. after all, when you leaned on her arm after a night of drinking and told her you liked her company, that must have meant something, right? when you listened to her story and squeezed her hand, you felt for her, right? there was some humanity in you, and the little bit of it was enough for her—but only for her. she tells you that the others won't be welcoming if they knew who you are, hoping that, at the very least, you'd distance yourself from them if you believed that. she lies about their feelings towards ability users that abuse their power, claims that even if the special division begged the ada to help you, they'd toss you out at once. she lies and pretends she doesn't remind herself of someone she hates.

most ability users find dazai's ability annoying, but this blatant hatred you have for his is painful. you like figuring out how abilities work, how their users can use it to their advantage and how it shapes a person; but dazai's serves you no use (and you tell him all this to his face, not at all worried about how he may react), it only renders abilities useless, it only negates power. it doesn't contribute, doesn't leave a trace—it's not even permanent. and, when you think of the others in your collection, it's just boring.

"besides," you say, unbothered by dazai's obvious pain, "i have better things to do than entertain your stupid questions. the user of flawless (it rips him apart, how you can't even say oda's name) is dead, and nothing you do now will change that."

since you don't give him the answers he wants, he instead decides he can only find them out by following you. dazai thinks you'd be the kind of person everyone hates, the sort that harboured such hatred for the world that you'd turn to committing brutal crimes out of anger and jealousy. but it's far from the truth. what he sees of you is...an unbelievably normal person. you smile at the barista that makes your morning coffee, you stop to pet the stray cats that rub against your leg, you read books and listen to music and you're so ordinary like this that it makes his head spin. how were you the same ruthless murderer that he met before?

the salt in his wound is nikolai. seeing you talk to him, listen and entertain his questions, letting him walk you to the station after a murder like it was the end of a regular day fills him with an unfamiliar feeling. he watches nikolai ask when you'll go after him, sees you smile sharply and wink back, instead of your usual glowering silence. he realizes how you're warming up to the clown, becoming familiar with him. you even call him by his name—nikolai, you say, amused—and not by his ability. nobody else earned that honor from you. and it feels like you've stabbed him straight in the heart.

this all sets off his all consuming obsession with you. it's pathetic, how he searches desperately for something. it's not the answers he came looking for, but it's even more important. he looks for clues in your empty coffee cup and the cream you use on your hands. he searches for evidence in the books you read and your contacts list. he digs for the meaning behind why you keep the torn glove of nikolai gogol and why his name is on the list of abilities you plan to steal. by the end of it, dazai can't even recognize why he's doing this for.

he doesn't bother to hide his tracks, but it doesn't matter. as always, all you offer him is an uninterested, passive look, even when you find him in your room, looking at your papers.

"if you have to be a creep," you say, your apathetic tone twisting the knife in his heart, "at least have the courtesy to clean up after yourself." and that's all there is to it.

Yandere!Platonic! Mori Ougai x Child!Reader

The danger of this platonic yandere-6,5/10

Common features:

To be honest, I think he is the most obvious platonic yandere. You don't even need to imagine how he will behave next to you. In his spare time, this is a constant excessive care and clinginess, and when he is busy, someone is constantly looking after you, and usually it's Elice. In fact, he won't mind if you sit in his office while he's busy with documents and strategies. So, if you don't want to spend the rest of the day in his office in his presence, then it's better not to go there, because he won't let you out until he finishes or it's time to eat. He won't even mind if you scream and roll on the floor. Mori went through a suicidal Dazai, who almost every day tried to hang or poison himself in an underground hospital, besides, every day he listens to Elice's claims, and on his own will, so he sees nothing wrong with your rampage. At least you won't surprise him with anything new. But he's not an absolute tyrant, so in the office you can find coloring books, toys, pencils, markers and sweets, and if you're really lucky, he can even give you his phone to play or watch something.

By the way, even if in many ways his attitude towards you and Elice is similar, it doesn't mean that it is exactly the same, because you have more prohibitions. She can eat more cakes, walk around the building, run away during a walk while such freedoms are closed to you. And this can really become a problem, because you don't know true identity of Elice and it's very unfair for you, but maybe you can make it your ace up your sleeve?

Mori is a man of logic and rationality, and that is why he will never put you above the organization. And if there are no other options, then he will sacrifice you for the prosperity of the mafia. And that's why it's better if you're not have ability or hide it.

He will treat any illness or wound of yours himself. It doesn't matter if you cut yourself or broke a bone, you have a mild cold or a severe flu. You'll heal easily under his supervision. However, sometimes his yandere side will be stronger and then he will stretch your treatment. Yes, he will give you medications, but not as effective as usual. But you can say thank you that he will not intentionally worsen your health.

Rules and boundaries

This is strictly a canon x reader/OC writing blog. I won’t write canon x canon. I may discuss them, but that’s it.

By default, I write gender-neutral reader! I try to avoid using any gendered terms or describing the reader too much. I write readers of any gender, just remember to mention what gender the reader is if you send a request.

I write all genres; fluff, angst, smut. I am comfortable writing almost anything. I'll tell you if I am too uncomfortable with what you request. Please don't take it personally if I refuse!

I mainly write about male characters, but there are some female characters I write about too (see the list in the end).

I let anyone interact, except minors on my +18 posts. I will check every blog that interacts with my +18 posts"! If I see any blank or under 18 blogs, I will block them.

Yandere!Ougai Mori X Fem!Reader

Word Count: 1,750

Warnings: yandere tendencies; mild gaslighting; sexual tension;

Summary: an old acquaintance pays a visit to the head of the Port Mafia as they have a decent conversation about their shared past.

A soft, yet hesitant knock resounded in the large office, shattering the deafening silence. A muffled “come in” was heard from the other side of the wooden double doors. There was a delay as one of his subordinates opened the door cautiously, without producing any unnecessary sounds. He closed it behind him as he entered the office of the current head of the Port Mafia. It appeared the black-haired mafia boss was preoccupied with a rather unusual task; however, his subordinates were used to this eccentric personality and antics, but still feared him. The silence reigned in the air as the young man refused to speak, awaiting his superior’s command. Mori lifted his head up as his attention was directed towards the person who disturbed his quality time with his precious Elise. The head of the Port Mafia leaned against a leather swivel chair that was situated behind the mahogany desk. Quirking a brow, he beckoned the young man to approach him and tell him the reason he came here. His subordinate swallowed before he opened his mouth to start talking. “Sir, there’s a visitor and would like to see you.”

Furrowing his brows, he cast a glance at the blonde girl that was drawing idly on the carpeted flooring, then returned his gaze back to his subordinate. “You disturbed me because of this?” His voice lowered as it had a threatening intonation.

His eyes widened with fear, the young man started shaking his head violently. “No, Sir. She insists on seeing you. She told me you would refuse and asked me to tell you these words: ‘the coldest city awaits you.’” He opened his mouth to resume, but Mori raised his hand indicating he had heard enough. Upon hearing those five words, his eyes widened but quickly returned to his normal—neutral, almost unreadable—expression.

A sigh escaped his lips as he gave his order, “let her in.” The young man nodded his head and turned on his heel to leave the room. Elise sensed the black-haired man’s uneasiness, she opened her mouth to start talking but was interrupted when another soft knock resonated in the large office. Without waiting for permission, the doorknob twisted and the wooden double doors opened, revealing an attractive woman in her mid-thirties. A sly smirk danced across her facial features, her eyes held a mischievous glint. Her appearance could be described as breathtakingly beautiful. That black pantsuit outlined her every curve perfectly and black heels complemented her professional attire as her hair was styled into a low, messy bun. Mori’s gaze was fixated on her as he exhaled through his nostrils. He did not even realize he was holding his breath. An infamous smirk of his found its way to his face, he returned her gesture.

Her eyes scanned every centimeter of the large office, then they landed on the young girl that was located in the middle of the room. “It’s good to see you again, darling.” Her voice had always driven him insane. Ougai Mori was not the man who easily developed attachments and weaknesses, yet the woman in front of him was his weak spot. He attempted to sever ties with her, but it seemed impossible. She would always find a way to cage him in her endless maze. She was his weakness and both of them were fully aware of it. He could not escape her clutches, she had a tight leash on him and refused to let go. She would never agree to release him. She was a dangerous woman with a talent of disappearing and reappearing at will. She could have left him for years, but he would still have difficulty earning his freedom. Mori had always thought of ridding her from his life, ending his misery, yet life without her would be meaningless. There would not be any thrill of awaiting her return when she would be six feet under. Thinking about it made him shiver in disgust. Killing the woman that made his life interesting. How could he? Despite having Elise by his side, he still wished to have her, claim her as his. She always waltzed in front of him, yet he could not get his hands on her, the woman always managed to slip away.

He was in a trance-like state, her voice snapped him out of his reverie. Mori quickly gestured her to take one of the armchairs as he gave Elise a close-eyed smile, reassuring the young girl. His scrutinizing gaze was fixated on her, opening his mouth to start speaking. “What a pleasant surprise. What brings you here, my dear?” He watched as his gorgeous companion took an unoccupied seat and crossed her leg over the other, leaning against the armchair comfortably. Her relaxed figure indicated she was not frightened or tense. She never felt threatened when she was in his presence. Perhaps, saying she felt safe was an understatement, as well. The woman appeared to be quite indifferent. It was difficult to read her.

That half-smirk of hers ever-present on her beautiful facial features. A signature expression; a facade to fool many and conceal her intentions, her deadly intentions. Her eyes had never once left his face, meeting his gaze as she bit her lower lip sensually, allowing the silence to seep through the large room. A great tactical move from her side to create more drama. Mori could recall her fondness for grand entrances and her remarkable ability to turn any situation into a film noir. He still wondered to this very day, how a mere woman could have such an effect on him. Ougai Mori, the dangerous leader of the Port Mafia. His title held no meaning to her. Mere words that would be forgotten like the pharaohs of old. His eyes lingered on her lips more than necessary, both of them were aware that she noticed it.

A low chuckled escaped her full lips, she opened her mouth to start speaking. “I was passing by and decided to pay a visit to the most influential man in Yokohama.” Her Japanese could not get any more fluent. Those undertones of mockery. How could he forget his first meeting with her in the coldest city? The deafening sounds of gunshots, bullets raining down on him as if there was no tomorrow, the debris, the cries of the damned. He had seen it all, yet he was fascinated to see a woman on the front line. Ougai Mori was a doctor, he vowed to save lives, instead of taking them. And the woman sitting not far away was not bound by any morals. Ironically, her work ethic was stricter than his, and she was not even a doctor, nor a soldier.

The coldest city intertwined their lives the very same day, she shielded him from a bullet that was destined for him. He was young and foolish, yearning for power and achieving the impossible. The doctor could have anything in this God-forsaken world, but not her. He could not have her. She was unattainable, even for him. Mori did not have the power over her that would grant him the ability to call her his. He had become besotted with the woman that was so far away from him, yet so close. He could have easily ended his misery, but he would never bear the thought of not seeing her again. The black-haired man was tempted to execute his darkest desire, but his life would be empty without her. Thinking about it drove him insane. He had never felt such an odd sensation before. He lacked the expertise in this field and did not have the answer to his unanswered question. Ougai Mori had never felt more alive. His mind was crumbling, his infatuation with the woman grew stronger, to the point where the return was non-existent. The mafia boss would not allow her to escape his grasp, not anymore.

Mori flashed one of his infamous smirks as his hand traveled down to the mahogany desk, searching for a certain object. His piercing violet eyes were locked with hers, attempting to have a decent conversation with her. “Spontaneous as always, I see. You’ve always loved your grand entrances.” His smirk grew wider as he revealed a familiar pistol, raising his hand to get a better aim, he stood up from his leather chair, resuming to speak. “You’ve always had a knack for making men run after you and I was no exception. Why would you refuse to be treated like a queen? Stay by my side and no one will dare to touch you.” The pistol was loaded, his finger hovered over the trigger. His voice was strained and his smirk morphed into a lunatic grin. The black-haired man could feel how he was losing his composure and his mask was slipping. “You belong to me, my dear, and no one can change it.”

Her figure relaxed, she stretched her arms as she stood up. A low chuckle escaped her full lips, once more. “Aiming at the person who gave you that gun. You are such a cruel man, Rintarou.” Glancing at the blonde girl, she had stopped drawing and her attention was directed towards them. The woman’s gaze returned back to him. “You’re scaring her. Now, I wonder what she had to endure because of you. Your proposal is quite tempting, I will think about it.” Looking down at her Rolex, a victorious smirk danced across her beautiful facial features, adding the last part. “I love you, Mori, but a man such as yourself will never understand it.” Turning around, she stepped forward, and then walked away. Her slender fingers wrapped around the doorknob, twisting it as she opened the wooden double doors, she slipped through them and closed them behind her. Leaving Mori with his own thoughts.

Upon hearing her words, the black-haired man froze in one place as his entire body stiffened. The cruel reality washed over him like cold water, his deranged grin was replaced with the unreadable expression. A pistol in his hand fell to the surface of the mahogany desk with a clatter. Rather loud, maniacal laughter resounded in the large office, frightening Elise as she looked at the man standing behind the desk. Running his hand through his black locks, he stared at the wooden double doors. “Of course, she had to pull a stunt like that. Very well then, until next time, my dear; however, there won’t be any next time.”
