Hey everyone! There's a Goodreads giveaway starting on November 28 for my new book, Leading Aegis, that will run until December 20, 2023! If you're in the US or Canada, enter to win a free paperback copy, and tell your friends so they have a chance too! Keep reading to find out what Leading Aegis is about!
You can read the first chapter for free on Patreon, and Leading Aegis will release January 1, 2024 on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, and Lulu as ebook, paperback, and hardcover. Pre-order your ebook today on Amazon or Barnes & Noble, or pre-order your paperback!
Leading Aegis: In a world where Captain Carolina Trace could’ve been an indentured worker, or a soldier for a corrupt government, she chose the freedom of piracy instead. But what the rest of the world doesn’t know is that she’s cursed, and bound to her ship, Omen, for all but a few hours at a time. When her most recent quest to break the curse puts her on a trajectory to cross paths with Ophelia, a fugitive doctor, and Wyatt, a Sovereign soldier, she might just have to reevaluate the things that are most important to her.
What is she willing to sacrifice for her freedom? And what is she willing to sacrifice when her freedom isn’t the only thing at stake?
The cover art was done by the amazing @lesly-oh! Check out the full reveal on patreon!
As of January 1, 2024, I'm going to be publishing all future works as Z.R. Reed instead of Zoe Reed. If you're a Goodreads user, follow Z.R. Reed on there to keep up with my new stuff!

Breaking Legacies by Zoe Reed
Tumblr media
Today's sapphic book of the day is Breaking Legacies by Zoe Reed!
Summary: "In a land impoverished by a war that started before she was born, Kiena has provided for her mother and brother by becoming one of the best hunters in the kingdom. But when a lifelong friend with connections recommends her to the king to track down a runaway princess, her life gets turned upside down. Finding the princess is easy. Deciding what to do in a conflicting mess of politics and emotions… not so much."

I was reading Interference (again because i have so much feelings for this book) by @mezoereed and I remembered I had this short comic forgotten in my folders from two years ago (so of course i felt the urge to finsish it)
Most of the lines are taken from Taylor's POV of the hotel room scene.

Imogen: But what about Echo?
Blake: Don't worry about her.
Gen: I once watched her fall down 5 flights of stairs, stand up, and keep eating her hotdog like nothing happened.

If I had a nickel for every time I fell for a tiny, flirty queer character named Ava with some kind of weird magic in/on her back and a badass protective girlfriend with whom she shares the sweetest love story, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's way too specific and odd to have happened twice. And yet...
@mezoereed your Ava and Ava from Warrior Nun would totally be chaotic besties, just saying. Kiena and Beatrice would try to beat each other in archery and just talk about their girlfriends' antics.

I read breaking legacies by @mezoereed earlier this summer and it easily became my favorite book. The writing is just impeccable, which I expected since i’ve read cdad and loved it too (another one of my favorites).
Obviously I highly recommend the book, wayyy more people should read it. If you like fantasy, forbidden love, amazing writing, and lesbians with the best chemistry— then this is the book for you.

I just recently finished "Breaking Legacies" And it was such a wonderful book. Might be one of my favorites.
So I decided to draw Kiena and Ava, hope you like it!
I'm not entirely happy with how this drawing turned out, so I will probably draw them again in the future.

From Echo’s POV her and Gen meeting again after the six years must’ve been wild,,like, imagine:
You see your old high school crush for the first time after a literal apocalypse happened and the first thing she does after you smile at her is clock you in the face with an M4
and then you find out why…
