AU I Will Never Write
A Zutara Phantom of the Opera AU. The parallels are THERE! Like come on, the sneaky guy who wears a mask to cover a facial scar/deformity and is widely regarded as a ghost/spirit? The prodigy who lost her parents and is apparently relying on natural talent because she was never actually taught? The only thing stopping me from writing this is that I HATE Phantom of the Opera. Also, if anyone writes this, you’d BETTER NOT pick Aang to be Raul. Use Haru if you must, or somebody else, but NOT Aang.

katara: my partner must be the epitome of grace and beauty, intelligent and resourceful beyond most human capabilities, and be an absolutely excellent bender
zuko: *trips over his own feet* *talks to badger frogs* *forgets the start of his own joke*
katara: I want that one

Zutara Textposts: Part 8
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, Part 9, Part 10
(Image Description:
Image 1: This is a screenshot from "Sozin's Comet, Part 2: The Old Masters." Zuko and Katara are standing beside each other, blushing and looking flustered. A text box reads, "is he.... you know.... your narrative foil?"
Image 2: This is a screenshot from "The Southern Raiders." Zuko and Katara are both underwater on Appa. Katara is bending the water around them with an angry look on her face, and Zuko watches in awe. A text box reads, "i want to achieve 'she's adorable and i will protect her at all costs but also i am slightly frightened by her power' "
Image 3: This is a screenshot from "The Ember Island Players." Katara and Zuko are sitting beside each other at the theater, and both have their arms crossed. Katara is smirking at Zuko, who is looking straight ahead with wide eyes and a look of surprise on his face. A text box reads, "dude u better stop engaging in playful banter with me or i'll fall madly in love with u."
Image 4: This is a screenshot from "The Southern Raiders." Zuko is pictured sitting on Appa’s saddle in the morning and saying something. A text box reads, "Not to turn you on or anything but I'll support you emotionally."
Image 5: This is a screenshot from "The Southern Raiders." Zuko and Katara are in a Fire Nation ship. Zuko is crouching on the floor and turned to Katara, who has an angry look on her face as she watches a man she just dropped from her blood-bending-grasp on the floor. A text box reads, "I want someone who sees the bad in me and still wants to stay."
Image 6: This is a screenshot from "Sozin's Comet, Part 2: The Old Masters." Katara is smiling and saying something at night to a sad Zuko as they both sit outside Iroh’s tent. A text box reads, "noooo, don't be mortified by the ordeal of being known...you're so loveable lol."
Image 7: This is a screenshot from "The Boiling Rock, Part 1." Zuko, Katara, Haru, the Duke, Toph, Sokka, Teo, and Aang are gathered around the campfire in the Western Air Temple. Zuko is serving tea to Katara and Aang, who are laughing with Teo and Toph. A text box reads, "Little things mean the most, always."
Image 8: This is a screenshot from "Sozin's Comet, Part 3: Into the Inferno." Zuko’s boots are seen at a close angle as he runs to intercept lightning. A text box reads, "love is a feeling but commitment is a choice, and I pray we all find people who continue to choose us even when love gets hard."
Image 9: This is a screenshot from "Sozin's Comet, Part 3: Into the Inferno." Zuko’s hand is outstretched, and his face is in a very scared expression as he intercepts lightning for Katara, who is standing behind him. A text box reads, "Y'all I'm telling you, love someone. Love them unconditionally, love them no strings attached. Love them not because you want to date them but love them because if there wasn't a romantic relationship involved you'd still want them around. Love them the way you dream of being loved. Love is a really great thing."
Image 10: This is a screenshot from "Sozin's Comet, Part 4: Avatar Aang." Katara and Zuko stand side by side against a red sky. Zuko solemnly stares straight ahead, and Katara watches Zuko with a sad expression on her face. A text box reads, " 'and we didn't talk after that' is probably the saddest thing to say."
End Image Description.)
