Another finished commission! I always try to find something I can work on or develop with each new commission - be it lighting, rendering or storytelling - and I hope those attempts are noticeable, at the very least in the long term!

"Growing up, Yujun always wanted to be a soldier. However, as the war ended by the time he came of age, he set out to be a sailor and hero by any means necessary. On that journey he found that being a pirate allowed him to finally achieve his dream of glory and fame.

Over time he sailed with the decayed and the broken, often turning to mutiny and war amongst themselves. After months of living these battles, like dogs fighting for dominance, Yujun left to find a more “orderly” station. Getting a letter of marque from a nearby nation granted him power and rank that he craved desperately. Now he has the power to take ships, kill and plunder… all in the name of the law."

A while back I was commissioned to paint Daelia, a spring Eladrin. Well the commissioner returned asking for a winter version and I was here to deliver!

Tell more about Erden story!!

I'm so happy you asked! He was born a half-elf and raised in an orphanage. After an incident in his teen years, he was forced to run away. He was guided to the Feywild where he met the Ice Queen, who became his patron and somewhat of a maternal figure. He grew to become a promising warlock and knight, as he gathers strength and allies to one day take on the King in Yellow and his cult, who seek to take the world into their hands.

We can't ever forget where we came from and what it took us to get here.

Looking at the journey behind us can fill us with motivation for the journey ahead, so I always take some time to go through old work I've saved and "reconnect" with how I felt then about my work and how much I've progressed.

Sometimes I even redraw some of them, to try to bring the original idea some justice! But mostly it's just a fun and motivating exercise, one that I highly recommend.
