I sat with my anger long enough

Until it told me it’s real name was Grief

Parts of me died in the house I grew up in

They visit me in dreams

When you are not fed love on a silver spoon

You lick it off knives

Loving you just became a different way

To not love myself

How do you forgive ourselves for the things we could not become

I could not understand how could people just keep living on

Maybe I too had a place to belong but it wasn’t definite

It was flowing and formless, perhaps inside of me
