Flower breathing dragon. It arrives at the end of winter to clear the snow and restore warmth to the earth. Wherever it blows it’s heated breath, ice melts, the ground is watered, and spring flowers burst to life. The process is magical and instantaneous, so it really does look like it’s breathing flowers.

Stranger Ocean, Stranger Waves

Sending it adrift, the message in the bottle returned at once

Always back at shore the moment it set sail, betting on a chance

Veiled with a cloud of doubt, the letter itself became vague

Eventually, the bottle was shelter for a storm, a sealed plague

 Longing for what cannot be reached, the writer also became the receiver

Offering only to oneself, whatever brewed was swallowed by the sender
