A new oc!

This is Na'dane La'sene, the younger brother of Na'vida and the youngest child in the La'sene noble family.

He is also best friend with Kalen Xa-Qui, who he cares for very deeply.

A new artfight character sheet for a not exactly new character.

This is Na'vida La'sene, I have mentioned her before but I wanted to draw her as well.

She comes from the noble La'sene family, and later in life, ends up marrying Zena and Thaniea's son, Kalen (Although that doesn't end well)

She has a brother named Na'dane who doesn't have a crush on Kalen, no not at all.

Is it insane that I have a new oc and instead of being a normal person and drawing a character sheet or maybe concept art for my first drawing of him, I drew him getting railed by his best friend?

I find it insane because I'm never going to post the drawing anyways, so I have no idea why I drew it.

So why do Na'lona Mad'na and Na'vida La'sene have similar names, despite being different species? I'll explain.

Na'lona Mad'na was taken in at a young age by the saints and therefore, there was no time for her name ceremony.

Na'lona's mentor was a woman named Shak Jarre, who herself was taken in at a young age by the saints as well. Shak Jarre had gotten her name from her own mentor, and had only discovered her family and their culture around the time she took in Na'lona.

Because of that, Shak Jarre decided to name Na'lona after her culture, and gave her the last name of Shak's family, basically adopting her into her family and culture.

Of course that would mean that Na'lona herself wouldn't be able to have a connection to her own family or culture, but they abandoned her anyways.

And if you are wondering how this links to Na'vida? Well Shak and Na'vida belong to the same species, as obvious by their light purple skin and skin markings (Shak having red markings while Na'vida and her family have white markings)

And that's how Na'lona and Na'vida have similar names, despite being different species. It's just a simple answer of: adoption.

TLDR: Na'lona was adopted by a woman who was the same species as Na'vida and was named by her.

Valarin now has her own artfight sheet so it's basically confirmed that she's a character now!

Valarin Sernada is the only heir to the Sernada royal family, she's not upset about it, but she's not happy either. Most of her time she is with her friends, Thaniea and Aeron, either having sleepovers or going partying until the sun rises.

She and Aeron do actually end up getting together and having two daughters together but for now, let her have fun!

I've made their older sister, now here are the twins!

Valena and Kalen are the youngest chiildren of Zena Xa-Qui and Thaniea Hio. They mostly took after Thaniea with their hair, but their faces look more like Zena.

They both have their own lives that I'll talk about in a later post, but let's say that they do change when they get older.

So I went through my list of oc's and going through the characters who so far have canon sexuality, I made this list of how many characters there are with each one.

I'm going to be honest, I did not expect these results.

Bisexual: 14

Unlabeled: 5

Pansexual: 3

Straight: 19

Sapphic: 6

Lesbian: 12

Queer: 1

Gay: 3

Asexual: 1

Aromantic: 2

So, somehow I have mostly straight characters (Which is surprising) but what I am surprised with is that there are only 3 gay men, and 2 of those men are actually the same person so there are only 2 gay male characters?

I should probably do this with their genders as well because I counted and there are only like 5 trans characters, which shocked me.

Shak Jarre, the next oc I made for artfight this year (And hopefully years after this year as well)

Shak was the mentor of Na'lona and was a part of the 3rd division for most of her life.

Not a lot is known about her, but she is the same species as the La'sene family from years later down the line.

I told myself I would stop making character sheets for artfight, only to make another one with a sketch in my wip's as well.

Anyways, I don't think I've ever introduced this oc before.

This is Na'lona Mad'na, she was the teacher and mentor of Siela and Uttara. She's the same species as my oc, Iris, and it's kind of funny cause my oc Na'vida La'sene and her family, although being a different species, have a similar name to her because Na'lona's mentor, Shak Jarre, was given her name by her mentor, so she gave one of her species' name to Na'lona as well.

Na'lona doesn't really have any lore yet though, but hopefully she will soon!
