Atonement

We gather the tribe all together

Armed with noisy powerful tools of the old world

We don't like them, but they're necessary here

We take to the old ragged road out front, heavy grey asphalt

We go at it with all our might

For many hours, all through the day

For her

We miss her so, and she misses us

We can feel it

I'm so impatient I grab the sledge hammer

A few more heavy breathed, sweat dripping strikes

And finally

She's there

Like she'd been waiting for me, holding her breath

She can breathe again now

As she was always meant to

She hasn't seen the sun in many many years

My friends pat me on the back

Proud smiles for me

Apologetic ones for her

But we freed her

We did it

We atoned, we made it right, for the day

For news generally- I've been working on a new website/shop!!

I really haven't been super happy with my emailing or webhosting services and I've been struggling with shopify's 'app store' labyrinth for a good while. On the advice of a friend I decided to check out squarespace and I'm loving the website building so far. They explicitly included my highest demand features built right in and I really hope the shop back-end holds up the same standards 😭🙏

Majority of my drawing time is my pacing because my drawings give me ideas and those ideas make me excited (ADHD).

I don't have meds so it's not like I can just take them and get things done. Like the only solution I can think of is if I got straps and strapped myself to the stool or something.
