Easy Elderberry Syrup: Delicious And Nutritious Ingredients - 1 cup fresh elderberries 3 cups water 1 cinnamon stick 3 whole cloves 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root 1 cup raw honey Directions - Put the elderberries, water, cinnamon stick, cloves, and ginger together in a saucepan over medium heat. Once it is boiling, reduce heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes. Use a potato masher to break up the berries to release their juices. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
